Danny, Cream and Tails: Musical Maestros

(Author's Notes: Hey everyone! How are you all doing? It has been a long while, but I am back to this story!

Before I say or do anything else, I want to give praise and honor to the Lord. Thank you God for helping me in everything in my life! I continue to ask you humbly Jesus to look after me, my family, my friends and those that need you very much. Help us God in becoming stronger and more enduring against a world that has gone topsy-turvy but not in a humorous way. I will strive to improve myself for you alone Jesus and Your Father!

It really has been a long time since I worked on this, and hopefully I can finish it with a couple more chapters. Again, while I like doing this for my friend Author danielman21, I would really prefer to work on my own works that I am more familiar with. But since this is for him, will do my best to make this story one of the best Sonic stories to make.

I also hope that see more new positive reviews on any of my Disney/Toho works, my Star Vs. story & my Danny Phantom x Dragonball crossover. Once I finish with certain requests, will work overtime on my own projects! Until then, just have to do the best I can here.

I wish to do this for my Tia Pamela Espurova-Allen, and will keep doing it until some solid news comes in. She is working with police and other official groups to locate and bring home a missing girl that is part of a family she works with & has befriended.

Her name is Lina Khil, a little girl that was taken on December 20th, 2021. The search is still on for her, but so far… no luck.

Her information is this: She was four years old when she was abducted; hair brown, eyes brown, race Afghan, weight 55 lbs. & height 4'0. If any can help to locate and find her, please do so and notify the proper authorities. Hoping and praying still that she is found alive & returned to her family. They have put up a special about her on TV thanks to the San Antonio Police Department. Any information you wish to seek about her you can search for online, and hopefully it will help to find her and bring her back home safely.

We cannot please everyone, nor do we ever wish to do so. I believe in the words of my pastor Rick Godwin from Summit Christian Center at San Antonio and it is this: If you try to please everyone, you lose yourself entirely. So while others may not be pleased at this, it is what it is. Our aim is not to please all, but to write a worthwhile story that follows Truth. No more, no less.

There will be NO kind of characters or reference to slash or femme-slash of any kind. There will also be no trans, gender-free, binary/non-binary, gender-neutral characters or notions in this special series, nor in any of my other stories. See my Profile bio to see where I firmly stand in and at. In this I am VERY serious about! Will NOT follow ever the WOKE (STONED) movement or this New Normal junk that has been seriously poisoning the communities, people, societies and culture!

Also, will be giving certain characters OC names from the website 20000-NAMES, as I have done in my previous stories. Each name is linked to a different nation, and has a different meaning. To see what they mean, go to website to look it up.

I do not own the plot, my new Author friend does. Neither of us own Sonic X, as it is a television animated series that was created in Japan. It was directed by Haijime Kamegaki, produced by Takeshi Sasamura & Tadahito Matsumoto. The original network is was broadcasted from is TV Tokyo in Japan, and in the United States by many other networks such as Disney Channel, Jetix, Fox, 4Kids TV and more. It ran from April 2003 to April 2005.

Also, will be utilizing a level or so from the video game Sonic Forces even though I have never played the game itself.

Now, on with the story!)

~In the Mystic Jungle~

Normally, the jungle would be mostly soothing and quiet with the sounds of birds & certain tropical bugs making noises that would make it all serene. Today was NOT one of those days, as a certain trio of detectives were hauling tail with some interesting cargo in tow! Vector was still carrying Mathias on his shoulder, Charmy leading Torli with Espio taking point. Mr. Clark asked in a surprised tone once he regained his ability to speak, "W-Who are you?!".

Vector's focus was on the road ahead of him but he answered, "Name's Vector the Crocodile sir! And these are my associates, Espio the Chameleon and Charmy Bee! We are…".

He was interrupted when Mrs. Clark called out in surprise, "You're Team Chaotix, the famous detectives!".

The trio were indeed surprised that a human knew of them, and felt a swell of pride at being called famous. Charmy had a huge smile on as he exclaimed, "Famous?! Whoo hoo! Hear that everyone!? We're famous!".

Espio called out an inquiry since he was still the point man, "How is it that you know of us?".

Torli replied as she jumped and ducked under various brush to keep up with the hyperactive anthro be, "In our world, you all are famous for being associated with Sonic and his friends! The detective aspect is a bit sketchy, but many people know who you are!".

It was a compliment with a sting in it end, though it was not malicious or intentional. The trio were a bit down that they were famous only by association to the legendary blue blur, not for their detective skills. Still, they took what they could get.

Mathias looked up from his slung over position to Vector and asked, "But why did you rescue us? And where are you taking us?".

The large green anthro machine of muscle and music answered as he kept on running, "We're rescuing you because our client Tails asked us too! It's to reunite with your kid again, Daniel I think his name is!".

Hearing that those words sent a surge of shock, hope, excitement and joy in the hearts of the mother and father, their faces showing the emotions they were feeling right now. Torli exclaimed in surprise, "WHAT?! Tails, as in the Two-Tailed Fox!? And Daniel is with him?!".

The ninja chameleon replied back loud and clear, "Indeed so! Look, we will fill you in on everything as soon as we leave this place! And it will be quite a challenge, given that our pursuers are Shadow & Rouge!".

Charmy soon had a surprised look on his face, as if he realized something. He exclaimed to his fellow detectives, "Hey wait! Our jet only has three seats! How can we carry the humans with us if we don't have enough room in the jet?!".

Instead of being worried, Vector just smirked as he replied with confidence, "Heh, don't worry about that Charmy! The jet has some new features that are built into it, the mechanics taking a page from Tails! It can shift & change to become bigger, and I bet it'll just enough to accommodate our passengers here!".

A familiar, rough male voice called out from above them, "IF you manage to get to your vehicle that is!".

This caused the group to stop in their tracks, Vector putting Mathias down while Charmy released the hand of Torli. The humans came together in a huddle, Team Chaotix forming a perimeter around them while looking around for the owner of the voice. Their faces showed tenseness and focus, showing that they were on alert.

After some moments, a familiar female voice called out in a teasing tone, "Up here boys!". All looked up to see that atop a tree branch was Rouge and Shadow, the two looming down over their targets. Mathias held his wife in a protective hug while Vector and his crew looked ready to rumble. Rouge had a smirk on her face, while Shadow had his usual scowl on.

The buxom bat beauty soon had a pout on her face as she spoke in a fake hurt tone, "Vector, honey. That smoke bomb you used on us… that was very mean!". If one could look very closely, they could see moisture on the faces of the bat and black hedgehog, showing that they had recently washed away the unique smoke/pepper bomb from earlier.

The bulky anthro crocodile replied back, "Actually, you can thank Espio for that one. It was of his making, not mine.". If one thing, Vector was honest when it came to his teammates and their accomplishments. It was a strength in that aspect. Espio nodded, remaining his stoic self as he was on defense.

Shadow declared in his usual harsh tone, "Either way… you all are going to pay for taking our little entertainment distractions, and with interest with that bomb you used on us.". He was really ticked off, as he did NOT like being made a fool of like so.

Vector glanced to the others and stated in a commanding tone, "Espio, you take our human friends to the ship. Me and Charmy will handle these two.".

The chameleon soon stood tall and spoke in a respectful tone, "No Vector, I believe I have a better solution to this dilemma. Besides, even if I did flee with the humans, that would mean leaving you behind, and that is not the ninja way.". Espio was trained & taught two important things; to finish missions given to him, and to never leave friends behind.

Espio looked Shadow and Rouge, who had raised their eyebrows at the tricky anthro. Even Vector, Charmy, Mathias and Torli were perplexed at the actions & words of the fighter. Espio gathered himself and spoke in a tone clear and strong, "You two are quite formidable in your own right, and as a team… it would be extremely challenging to win against you. But… we do not have to beat you in order to complete this rescue mission.".

Rouge had a suspicious look on her face as she asked in an inquiring tone, "What do you mean by that, ninja boy?".

The chameleon slowly reached behind his back & pulled out a kunai. But this seemed different, as it was a solid black color instead of metallic gray. And also small golden inscriptions of sort etched on the surface. Espio hefted the kunai up and stated, "We just have to get past you with our new companions in tow to our vehicle, and that is just what we are going to do… thanks to this.".

Shadow felt something amiss, slightly changing his stance to be in attack position. He asked in a gruff voice, "What is that? It does not look like your normal ninja weapon…".

Espio allowed a small smirk to form on his face as he answered, "Correct. You see, I was not just idle with my teammates. I have been developing something with my people, thanks to a combination of certain reading materials from Earth & also data that I asked Tails to get for me some months ago concerning your unique teleport ability with Chaos energy.".

The anthro shinobi of Mobius continued with his speech, "During our time on Earth, I managed to read a peculiar thing that some called a manga. Some call it a graphic novel curiously enough. Either way, this manga featured a ninja world and the hero being an unlikely young man by the name of Naruto Uzumaki. And while diving more into the series, I learned of some interesting techniques there… including one that was made by the boy's father, a hero called Minato Namikaze.".

Shadow and the others did not see where he was going with this, and neither did the Clark parents as anime/manga were not their area of expertise.

Espio stated with confidence in his tone, "In the manga, he created something that looks similar to a sai weapon. It was a tri-pronged kunai that allowed him to instantly teleport to it, calling it the… ah, yes. The Flying Thunder God Technique. I looked more into it, and as it turns out that certain things require seals and formulas to utilize. Very intriguing… so much so that I copied the information in my head, and brought it to my own village home.".

His smirk rose, "After some time, we managed to actually create the technique.".

This caused Shadow and Rouge's eyes to widen a bit, and the other members of Team Chaotix looked very much surprised at that. However, the more stunned out of all of them was Mathias and Torli. The mother of Daniel exclaimed with surprise in her tone, "Wait! You mean to say that you ACTUALLY made something to work from something that is considered pure fantasy!?".

Espio looked to her, his smirk still on and answered, "Heh, yes we did. It was not easy though.".

He turned back to his foes still up in the trees and stated, "Using the information from the manga, and the data that Tails gave to us concerning your Chaos Control teleporting techniques, we managed to come up with something. Instead of chakra, the energy mentioned in the book, I put a bit of my own unique energy in this specialized kunai. The energy is held by special seals written in the language of my people. And conveniently… there is one inside our aircraft.".

Quick as the wind itself, Espio back flipped and landed near the Clark adults. He called for Vector and Charmy to come to them, and to hold on tight to one another. The anthro crocodile and bee looked to each other, nodded their heads and rushed towards the group. Rouge realized what was going to happen, jumping off the tree branch with her wings spread out and gliding fast towards her quarry! Shadow also rushed towards them, showing that he was indeed fast like a certain blue hedgehog without the use of his powers.

Espio made sure that everyone was touching one another, looked to the incoming enemies and whispered, "Bye.". The specialized kunai he held glowed a bright golden color… and in a flash of light, the five vanished from sight in an instant!

Rouge and Shadow arrived at the spot where Team Chaotix and their prisoners once stood a second before they vanished. Rouge looked this way and that, astonishment present on her face. After a few moments of searching, she asked Shadow in a voice that mirrored her current emotion, "Shadow, can you sense them? Are they really gone or was that all like a flashy flash bomb or something?!".

The Ultimate Lifeform closed his eyes and concentrated, extending his senses outward. After a few moments, he opened his eyes and answered, "Negative. It seems that the ninja was not bluffing or making it up. I can sense trace amounts of teleporting energy. It is faint, but I can feel it & it is different from my own teleporting ability.".

The alluring bat beauty pondered for a bit, then asked the pointed question, "So should we go after them?".

Shadow looked to her and answered in his usual tone, "No. We have no idea where their craft is. However… I think there is something we can salvage from this.".

Rouge raised a delicate eyebrow at him, the black hedgehog soon explaining, "They told us that Tails hired them, and if we go directly to the source, we'll find them. Do you still have the vehicle of yours?".

She answered with a smirk on her face, "Heh, you are a smart one Shadow. And yes, the Allure is all ready back at the temple.". The Allure was the spaceship that she had used against the alien life form Metarex, and also to hunt for the Chaos Emeralds when they were in space. She had managed to save it after the ordeal in space, giving its current name & also hiring someone to have it shift from spaceship to a four-wheeled driving car. It took some Rings to make it possible, but it was a good investment in the long-run, she believed.

Shadow then sent a small smirk to her, and with nothing else meant to be said, the duo went back to the temple.

Meanwhile, near the jet of Team Chaotix, a flash of light occurred & appearing nearly instantaneously was said team along with the human parents. All of them collapsed on their knees, panting as they experienced something quite extreme. After some moments, Vector looked towards the jet and exclaimed in surprise, "Hey! That trick of yours… really worked Espio! We're back to the jet!". He was panting still, cooling down gradually from the teleporting technique.

Espio chuckled softly and replied back in a tone that also showed exhaustion, "Yes… I cannot believe that worked…".

Those words got the attention quick of the whole group, Charmy asking the question, "W-What do you mean? I thought…".

The anthro chameleon rose up back to his feet, a bit shaky still as he replied, "I was not bluffing or lying concerning the creation of the teleporting move. However… it took me a LOT of trial and error to get it right. And even then it was only good for short distances. About fifteen feet or so.".

He continued to speak as he went to the jet, "I found out that if I put more of my energy into the kunai I have, it would allow me to teleport with other objects that were in contact with my body. But I often used inanimate objects, not a living thing. And also needed more energy for greater distances… though the inanimate objects I took didn't come exactly intact.".

Espio climbed into the jet, pressing a button on the control console that caused the jet to shake and rumble softly. It soon started to change, sliding in different ways until two new passenger seats formed near the rear of the vehicle. He leapt off and looked back behind him… to see the jaws of his compatriots and the rescued humans hanging down almost to the ground.

If one had a camera, they would have taken pictures at the comical sight.

Torli managed to stutter out in a tone of shock, "Y-You mean… you gambled everything… on a whim?!".

Espio looked to her and answered in a neutral tone, "Yes, you are correct. I honestly didn't think my gamble would work at all, and if it didn't I would have used the light from the kunai to blind them before making our getaway.".

Vector managed to get his jaw off the ground, shook his head in disbelivement and stated, "Espio… seriously, you would have emptied out any casino with that poker face and luck of yours. But next time, I think you need to practice more before doing that big of a gambit with our well-beings.".

He meant every word of it. His partner in detective work had such a serious poker face on, one could not tell if he was bluffing or not. And with the luck he had just displayed just now, risking everything and everyone on a long-shot gamble like that… most likely he would clean out any casino or gambling establishment!

Charmy looked to the humans and exclaimed happily, "Come on you two! Time to take you to Tails and Daniel!".

The anthro trio started to climb into their vehicle, Mathias and Torli also doing so once they recovered from their shock. Once the seating arrangements were made, and everyone strapped in, Vector activated the craft. He turned the Hover-feature on, in which powerful turbines from underneath opened up and blasted powerful jets of air into the ground!

This caused the jet to rise up, soon hovering over the ground. Once the tired were brought up and in, Vector activated the jet-feature which caused the afterburners in the back to roar to life! Once it was done, they took off fast from the air while the Hover turbines shut off and were sealed back up.

Once they were in the air and putting some distance away from the jungle, Mathias called out, "Now that we are in the clear, I hope you can answer some of our questions. Such as this one; is Daniel really with Tails?".

Vector answered him, "Yup! According to what Tails told us, little guy came through an Interdimensional Warp Zone Tunnel. It was Vanilla Rabbit who found him, and is taking care of him at her house along with her children Cream and Tails.".

Mrs. Clark spoke in surprise, "Tails is her child? Did she adopt him?". Charmy nodded his head in confirmation, a smile on his face as always.

Espio closed his eyes and spoke in a professional tone, "The child is quite fortunate in many aspects that he came to Mobius intact like he did, especially with the dangers of warping now.".

Torli remarked, "I think Rouge and Shadow said something akin to that. That something is wrong with the dimensional barriers, I think…".

Vector replied, "Well if they said it, they weren't lying there. Due to the instability of the reality walls made by the Chaos Emeralds, very dangerous and risky to use Warp Zones and anything else like them. So your son is very lucky to have made it in one piece, same with you two. And I think same with us, considering we used Espio's little teleporting trick.".

The anthro chameleon ninja explained, "Indeed, but it was a little safer considering I was using my ki energy to power up the seals. It is different from the chaos energy that Shadow often uses.".

Mr. Clark looked pensive for a moment and said his thoughts out loud, "Since the dimensional walls/barriers are thin and warping is now dangerous, perhaps it accounts that we landed in the jungle instead of in the place Danny landed at.".

Espio remarked, "It could be. That would explain why you two landed in that place instead where your son landed. The chaotic nature of the warp fields put you two in different locations despite using the same method of transport.".

Charmy then exclaimed, "Well, I don't know about you guys, but I think we should call Tails and tell him that mission is complete!".

His friend/boss nodded and replied, "Good thinking Charmy! Time to give a call to the little guy and tell him we got Danny's parents back!". He looked to the radio console on the left side of the cockpit, pushing a couple of buttons and awaiting a reply. He was hoping that Tails would answer, as there were some eager humans that wanted to speak to their son very much.

~At Vanilla's House~

Tails was back in his treehouse, rearranging some objects that was in his work space area. He was smiling, remembering what happened just a few minutes ago, which was him and Danny doing a little play-rendition of the song I Need A Hero. Now Danny and the others were in the home eating some lunch, and he went to his workshop to fix some things up in there.

He was moving some odd little knick-knacks around to make the place look more presentable… and that is when the radio intercom came on! The voice of Vector came over the airwaves, "Hello! This is Vector calling Tails! Come in Tails, do you read me? Over!".

The two-tailed fox was surprised to hear the anthro crocodile's voice over the airwaves, going to the radio and pressing a switch that turned on the communications device. He replied over the mic, "This is Tails! I read you Vector! How are you? How is the mission going? Over.".

Vector replied, "Well, we managed to make it to the Mystic Jungle area. And we managed to find Daniel's parents!".

This filled Tails with amazement and joy, said emotions on his face & in his tone as he called out, "Really?! You found his parents!? That's great news! Are they okay?! Are they well?! What happened?!".

The anthro crocodile replied, "Whoa, whoa! Take it easy buddy! In order, they are okay and even though they look a little worse for wear, they are well. And it seems they were kept as amusement prisoners for Rouge and Shadow.".

This had Tails be very much perplexed and confused at that, speaking once more in a tone that mirrored his emotions, "Wait! They were held by Rouge and Shadow? What were they even doing there?".

This time it was Espio who answered the question, "Unknown. What we do know is that they were working them over for their own amusement, toying with their determination to get back to their son.".

Tails was upset and disappointed with the two former G.U.N. agents, seeing that they needed a talking to but it would have to wait. Charmy's voice came up this time, "In any case, we found them and Espio used this super special smoke bomb that really got those two good! We escaped, and Espio used this cool teleporting thing that he learned from a book back on Earth!".

This particular news intrigued the two-tailed mechanical genius as he inquired, "A teleporting thing? What…? Wait! Does it have to do with the data he asked for me concerning Shadow's own Chaos Control?".

Espio answered in a stoic tone, "Indeed. In a way, it was thanks to you that we were able to successfully escape and fulfill the mission.".

Tails then inquired, "But… what about the instability of the dimensional walls? Were they damaged when you did teleport?".

The anthro chameleon ninja answered, "Very minimal. It is actually less risky than Shadows' own technique. His technique utilizes chaos energy which does weaken the dimensional walls. However, mine utilized my own ki which is my own life energy. It is risky to me yes, but at a minimal rate & does less damage to the barrier walls.".

The mechanical engineering genius was glad to hear that, as using any kind of warping technique was risky at the moment. Even a small kind, like the kind Shadow utilized, had more risks now than before.

A female voice than came over the speaker, "Tails, how is he?! How is my baby boy?! Is Daniel there with you now?!".

The two-tailed fox answered back, "Oh, you must be Mrs. Clark. And don't worry, Daniel is safe! And no, he is not with me now. He is with Vanilla and the others at home.".

There was an audible sigh of relief, indicating that Torli was very much relieved to hear that her son was okay. An unfamiliar male voice put in, "Thank you Tails! This means a lot to us. And also, this is Mathias Clark. I'm Danny's father, and you just heard my wife Torli.".

Tails had a small smile on his face as he replied, "Good to meet you, or at least hear you in this case.".

Mrs. Clark than inquired, "Tails, Vector and Charmy told us that you were adopted by Vanilla. Does that mean Sonic was too, and all of you are living with her?".

This caused Tails to laugh out loud a little before replying with mirth in his voice, "Hahahahahaha! No ma'am. Sonic is considered an adult, so Mom could not adopt him even if she wanted to. Besides, he likes to be on his own most of the time, zooming around the planet instead of staying in one place. Vanilla adopted me some time ago due to some circumstances which I'll tell you and your husband when you get here.".

He then frowned a bit as he stated with a change in his tone, "Danny told me why he came here, telling me and the others everything. We're going to talk about that as well when you get here.".

Mr. Clark's voice came up in a somber tone, "I see. And yes, we will have to talk about that… and also to apologize to Danny for our actions.".

Seeing that a meeting that needed to be done established, Tails decided to take a different route. He spoke once more but in a lighter tone, "Danny has been a very good boy since he got here. Vanilla took a liking to him, and is now his guardian.".

This surprised the entire group, Vector's voice coming in, "What?! Vanilla made her his guardian!? Why?".

Tails answered, "If she didn't and the citizens saw him, that would cause a lot of problems for Danny. Most of the people here in Mobius are quite wary of humans due to Dr. Robotnik.".

Charmy's voice came up but he was mostly speaking his thoughts out loud, "Well… that does make sense. They would have done something to harm him, but not even they would try anything against Vanilla!".

The mechanical and engineering genius knew that Charmy spoke true. While not a fighter at all, Vanilla had a powerful reputation and also a kind of… protective aura that would make going up against her in any way a BIG mistake!

Tails continued on, "In any case, Danny not only is safe thanks to Vanilla but also Big and Amy too. They are here as well.".

Torli's voice came up in a mildly surprised tone, "Amy? You mean Amy Rose? And when you say Big, that means that large round cat that likes to fish & has a unique pet frog with him?". While the Earthlings did keep an eye on most of the anthro visitors from Mobius when they came, it was only on those that were noteworthy. Big stayed underneath the radar thanks to his simple nature and appearance, though some did manage to take some notes concerning him when he did appear.

The two-tailed fox replied, "Yup! Amy Rose came by, and Danny was smitten with her from the start! Hehehehe… he's got a cute kind of puppy crush on her. She finds it cute, and also she said that she'll use her hammer to send anyone into orbit that tries to harm him.".

The Clarks knew that it was quite possible. G.U.N and others within the government had found out that Amy's unique mallet weighed a lot… which baffled them on how a petite hedgehog could wield something that had such density and mass like so! Anything that was on the receiving end of her mallet would be sent high into the sky.

Mathias chuckled softly when he said, "Heh, it doesn't surprise me that he grew a puppy crush on Amy. That boy likes girls that are a bit older than him.".

Vector took over once more, "In any case, on our way back now. And if we use our turbo boosters, most likely be there early tomorrow morning. Heh, good thing we saved on the turbo fuel earlier.".

Tails smiled and stated with joy in his voice, "That is awesome! I'll be sure to tell Danny the good news about this!".

There was a joyful laugh and sob coming from Torli that could be heard, all knowing that it was a good kind of cry. She exclaimed, "Oh Danny! I can't wait to see my little angel again! Tails, thank you and the others for taking care of him!".

Said anthro fox replied, "No problem! Also, Cosmo has taken a shine to him too, so he has some good protectors looking after him.".

This has Charmy speak out in surprise, "Wait a minute! Did you say Cosmo? Like that green alien girl you fell in love with some time ago? That Cosmo?!". Tails blushed at the declaration, as he was still new to the whole boyfriend/girlfriend relationship.

Espio took over this time as surprise was evident in his voice, "But… didn't she sacrifice herself to save our universe? How is she back?".

Mrs. Clark inquired in a confused tone, "Who is Cosmo? What happened?".

Tails said to himself in his head, 'It's no wonder that Torli is confused. Everything concerning Cosmo and her race happened here in our universe, not in theirs.'.

He spoke once more over the communicator, "I'll explain everything when you get here, so don't worry. In the meantime, I'll go and give Danny the good news! Thanks for the call, and good work Team Chaotix!".

Vector spoke with a good kind of pride in his tone, "Heh, no problem squirt! Glad to be of service! This is Team Chaotix, over and out!". The others said their goodbyes before the radio cut off, communications ending.

With that said and done, Tails turned off the radio and quickly went down and out of his workshop, rushing to tell the others the good news.

When he got inside his mother's house, he saw the others eating some sandwiches that Amy had made. The living room was all tidy and everything in place, cleaned up after the little music-acting play. The young anthro fox went over to them, Vanilla seeing the smile on his face and inquiring, "Well Tails, it seems you are happy about something. What is it?".

Danny was situated between Amy and Cream, swallowing a bit of the sandwich he was having and also asked, "Yeah! You were out there for a little bit. Did you see something good?".

Tails looked at the group and stated with excited energy, "Nope, but I did hear something good! I just got off the radio with Vector!".

This got everyone's attention, eyes wide with surprise and with hope. Amy asked, "With Vector? Wait! Does that mean…?".

The two-tailed genius nodded with his smile increasing a little as he answered, "Yup! Team Chaotix found Danny's parents, all in one piece and also on their way over here!".

This got some cheers to come forth from the group, Danny's being the loudest as his parents were all right and on their way over. He got up from his chair quickly, going to Tails and giving him a tackle-hug in gratitude and relief. Luckily for Tails, the little human did not bowl him over and just returned the hug in return.

Danny looked up to the fox and said excitedly, "Thank you! Thank you so much for this Tails! Thank you!". The anthro genius smiled and replied that it was no problem.

After some moments of celebration, Cream asked the question, "So Tails, where were they?".

Said fox gazed to his little sister, his smile turning into a frown as he answered her, "Well, according to the team, they were at the Mystic Jungle area. And they were being held captive by Shadow and Rouge.". This got perplexed looks on the faces of the group, as they were wondering why they were being held by those two. And also what said beings were even doing in the jungle in the first place.

Danny asked, "Shadow and Rouge…? Shadow is the black hedgehog, and Rouge is the bat that Mom says many men go crazy over right?". This had Tails and the other Mobians have a sweatdrop on their heads, Amy having more of a vein mark on the side of her head. The pink hedgehog had gained some fans back on Earth, but Rouge had managed to gather a larger fanbase due to her flirty/seductive nature and her… ahem, larger assets. It still irked her to this day that the bat girl had a large fanbase on Mobius & on Earth.

Seeing Amy a bit miffed, Danny had an inkling on what was making her look like that. He went back to her, hugging around the waist and saying, "You prettier than bat lady Amy! So no frown!". This has the group chuckle, Amy blushing before smiling and patting him on the head, thanking him for the compliment.

Tails smiled and continued, "In any case, the Team managed to get Danny's parents away from them and escape from the jungle. And they should be here at around early tomorrow.". This caused another round of celebration, Danny hugging Amy more on instinct but she did not mind at all.

After some moments, Vanilla stated, "My oh my! What a day this has been, and much of it has been good including this one! I think for now I'll go and take a nap.".

Cream looked to her mother and replied, "Okay Mother. Me and the others will clean things up while you go and take a rest.". The mature beauty smiled at her daughter, patting her head and thanking her for the offer. She soon said goodbye to all before going upstairs to her room, a bit exhausted from the help that she had done for the villagers that asked her.

Once she was secured in her room, the others started to clean up the place by putting up the dishes and the leftovers in the trash. They made sure to do it quietly as to not disturb Vanilla. Once everything was all cleaned up, Tails motioned for everyone to follow him outside. But first, they went to get their instruments. With Cosmo's help, they managed to get them without making a peep, her psychic powers canceling any noise.

Once Amy, Tails, Cosmo, Danny, Big, Froggy, Cream and Cheese exited the abode, the two-tailed fox motioned for them to head to their special spot in the woods. Instruments in hand, they went forth to said place.

The moment they were in said special spot, Cosmo put a light-green psychic energy wall around the place. It was a soundproof barrier; it would keep the noise within the sphere Cosmo made, but they could also hear things from the outside if need be. Also, it only required a minimal of energy from the alien beauty, no strain on her whatsoever.

Tails spoke to them all, "I have been thinking of something ever since I got the word from Vector on Danny's parents were rescued and coming over here…".

They all looked quizzically at the two-tailed genius with Cosmo asking the question, "What do you mean Tails?".

He answered her, "When they come, it'll be a bit harder for them to keep them out of sight from the others. In fact… most likely they will be seen by the villagers, and that most likely will cause some trouble.".

This got the group worried, especially Danny since he did not want to cause any trouble for his new friends. Cream asked in a worried tone, "So… what do we do?".

Tails was in thought for a moment, a look of concentration on his face. After some moments, his eye opened up and it seemed that an idea had struck him like a lightning bolt! He stated firmly, "I got it!".

He looked to the company and explained his idea, "First, we need to inform Mayor Zen Hisashi of what has happened & what will happen tomorrow.".

Amy looked a bit skeptical and inquired in a hesitant tone, "Umm… Tails, are you sure that is such a good idea?".

Said anthro fox looked to her and replied, "I believe it is the best solution here. If we inform him about Danny and his parents beforehand, with Mom present of course, he could be able to stave off any kind of hostility that might occur when Mr. and Mrs. Clark.".

Cream and Cheese looked to be in thought, than realized that Tails had merit. The adorable bunny girl stated, "Big brother is right! If Mom was with us when we told the Mayor about Danny and his parents coming in, he wouldn't dare say no or do anything to upset Mom.".

While the Mayor was a tough but fair anthro wolf, even he would not dare to make someone as sweet and lovely like Vanilla mad! And also when it came to protecting children, Vanilla would give off a sweet smile… but have an aura that would cow anyone that she was against!

Big also seemed to catch on as he spoke in his usual tone, "So… if the Mayor is on our side… than little Danny and his parents will be safe, right?".

Tails looked to the big cat, gave him a thumbs up and replied, "You got it Big! With the Mayor giving support to Vanilla, it should ease some hostilities and perhaps let Danny and his parents be welcome. The last part is a bit of a long shot, but best I got.".

Cosmo also looked to be in thought, the scenarios going within her head. After some moments, she came to realize that Tails' plan was truly the only way for any kind of outcome to be in their favor. She opened her eyes, smiled and went over to her beau. She spoke in a soft tone, "I have to say, you really do come up with some good plans Tails. This idea of yours has the best chance of working in Danny and his parent's favor.".

One by one, the others saw that indeed the plan was a good one to work. All they had to do was implement it when the time was right.

Tails spoke once more, "I have some other ideas, but that will have to wait for now. Now then, let's practice a bit more before Vanilla wakes up. And in this case, we should see where we stand with some of our other instruments. Amy, let's see how well you play the violin.".

All eyes turned to Amy as she nodded her head and borrowed the violin from Cream. The pink hedgehog was given a quick basic rundown of said instruments such as how to tune it & play it. Once it was done, she took the bow up and started to play. The sound she made was not bad at all, and playing a few more notes on it, she seemed to have an apt for the instrument. While not as amazing as when Cream played it, it was clear that with some practice, Amy would be better at it.

After returning the instrument to Cream, she tried her luck on the keyboard piano. After a quick rundown, she did try to play a few notes on it. But… unfortunately, the sounds did not blend in together right which had the listeners wince at the noise. When it was clear that she was not quite ready for the ivory keys, she tried her luck at the flute. Again, it seemed that a wind instrument was not her forte either. And finally when she tried to acoustic guitar, she discovered that she was average at it. Not too good, but not too bad with it either. Tails commented that with some practice, she could be adapt with it like she was with the harp.

It would appear that the pink beauty was adapt at stringed instruments, Tails making a mental note of that.

Cosmo was the next person to try her hand at some of the other musical equipment. She tried her hand at the harp, and amazingly she managed to play forth some beautiful notes that were in real harmony and good pitch. The others looked a bit spellbound by her notes, Big stating that it sounded very pretty with Froggy in agreement.

The lovely alien plant girl soon tried her hand at the violin, but she discovered that she was about average on that. It was the same as when Amy practiced on the guitar. And at the piano, Cosmo was a bit off-key with it which led Tails to the conclusion that both she and Amy were more adapt at stringed instruments. Cosmo could play the flute well, as that was a given.

This time Tails volunteered to go up, taking up the acoustic guitar since the electric one only worked for Cosmo. He tried to play a few keys, but it seemed that other than the violin, string instruments like such were not his forte. He next took the keyboard piano, and amazingly managed to show he had some talent for it. Average for the time being, but with enough time and practice, would be quite proficient at it.

He tried the harp, but again could not produce a good enough quality sound and harmony to it. So it seemed that his skill laid with the flute, piano and violin.

Danny was up next, the little human boy choosing to try the piano. After being coached on the types of keys and how they sounded, the little guy started to play a few notes. He played a few notes that was the main theme song from the very legendary 1993 movie Jurassic Park, which did impress the anthro observers. Tails commented that with some practice, he would be quite good at it.

Next he tried the flute, but while not bad, it was not good either. About average at the very best, which showed that the young Clark lad was good with certain stringed and key instruments.

The final one was Cream, the adorable bunny girl choosing the guitar. And just like she was with the violin, she seemed to show potential and promise as she strung out a few notes from the instruments that was delightful to the ears. She was also good with the harp, indicating she was quite proficient in stringed instruments and with enough practice and dedication, would be a sensational force in the music world in a few years tops!

Once it was all over, Tails looked to the group and stated, "Okay, so we all know where we stand concerning what instrument we play. Now then, let's take up the ones we are good at and start rehearsing!". With that said, the group collected the rightful instruments & started to practice one of the musical scores that would be played for Vanilla.

~At Vanilla household~

It was 1:45 p.m. when Vanilla Rabbit woke up from her nap, the lovely anthro bunny yawning as she stretched her arms as she rose off from her bed. She still had her dress on, indicating that she was very much tired to change into a more comfortable/suitable attire. Once she stretched out her arms to get rid of any kinks within them, she looked to the clock to see what time it was.

She said softly to herself, "1:45 p.m.? Goodness, I slept a little over two hours! Those little jobs that the others gave to me must have worn me out more than I thought.". Once she was up, she went to her bathroom to freshen herself up with a shower.

After twenty minutes, the motherly beauty emerged in a fresh set of clothes and feeling refreshed herself. She went out her room and saw that her children and guests were in the living room; Danny, Amy, Cosmo and Tails were playing Monopoly, Big & Froggy playing Battleship with apparently the frog in the lead & finally Cream and Cheese playing the game Connect Four. What Vanilla did not know was that the group had managed to finish their practice with ten minutes to spare before she woke up. They kept it quiet, and moved their instruments to their hiding places with her being none the wiser.

Everyone turned to see her as soon as her door opened, all greeting Vanilla who smiled and returned the gesture. Cream asked, "Hello Mother! Did you have a good nap?".

Vanilla stretched her arms, smiling and replying, "I sure did dear. I feel very good right now.".

Tails rose up from his place on the ground and asked, "Mom, I was wondering if you could call Mayor Hisashi & ask him to come to our home? I believe we need to talk to him soon.".

Ms. Rabbit had a curious look on her face as she inquired in a tone that matched her emotion, "Oh? Whatever for Tails?".

Said two-tailed genius of robotic and other mechanical engineering answered, "We need to show him Danny, and tell him of the situation with him and his parents who are going to be here tomorrow. That way, we can have some strong support on our side so that the others in the village won't do anything negative to them.".

The beautiful motherly rabbit quickly pondered on what her son just proposed. Vanilla was more than just a pretty face, as she was quite intelligent. She had beauty, smarts, strong empathy & moral compass on what was right and wrong! After some moments, she soon realized that her son was right. Speaking with the Mayor beforehand would be more worth it in the long run to have everyone accept Danny and his human parents when they arrived. It would still be a gamble, but with the Mayor on their side, it would be a calculated risk instead of blind luck/hope.

And even if anyone did try to mess with them, Amy would bring out her Piko Piko Hammer to defend Danny. And everyone knew it was best to stay out of range from that monster has it could crush any robots easily!

She looked to her son, nodding her head and replying, "You're right son. I think I'll give Mayor Hisashi a call right away.". She went over to the phone, Tails smiling at his adoptive mother had taken his advice and sitting back down to resume the game that was from the human universe.

Heh… Amy had the most property, but Cosmo was the one with the most money. Danny and Tails were on the verge of losing due to bankruptcy, but it seemed that the two did not mind to lose too badly.

While all of them resumed playing, Vanilla went to the phone that was in the kitchen. She dialed the number of the leader of the village, sitting down at the table and waiting for the call to come through. She didn't have to wait long as a female voice came over the line, "Hello, this is the Mayor's Office. This is his secretary Rita Mouse, how can I assist you?".

Vanilla answered kindly, "Hello Miss Mouse. My name is Vanilla Rabbit and I need to speak to Mayor Hisashi. It is very important please.".

Rita replied, back, "Oh hello Ms. Rabbit! I see… well, he is not busy at the moment, so you caught yourself a lucky break. Here, I'll put you through to him.".

Vanilla had this kind of clout with the Mayor on account of Tails being her son. Tails had a lot of political pull thanks to him being the best friend of the famous hero Sonic the Hedgehog, but the two-tailed fox rarely used that kind of muscle. But when he did, it was mostly through his mother & only if it was in an emergency.

In a few second, the strong tone of Mayor Zen Hisashi came over the phone as he spoke, "Hello there Ms. Rabbit. What can I do for you?".

She took a bit of a breath, then replied, "Well, I am wondering if you could come over to the house for a moment? Me and Tails have something serious to discuss with you please.".

A moment of silence passed, then the anthro wolf's voice spoke in a tone that held a hint of surprise and concern, "Oh, I see. Well, there is not much else to do at the moment, so of course. I will be there in about ten minutes.".

Vanilla replied once more, "Thank you Mr. Hisashi. And do not worry, it is not a life-or-death situation or anything akin to that. But it is very much important.". This brought a sigh of relief, which Vanilla did hear. He stated that it was good to hear, and he would be there at the appointed time. Once it was over, Vanilla hung up the phone.

She looked to the others who were now standing up from their current positions. The motherly beauty spoke in a tone that was firm but gentle at the same time, "Okay everyone, the Mayor is going to be here in ten minutes. I would like everyone to be at their best. Amy, can you help Danny clean himself up a bit in the bathroom? Like getting his face cleaned, hair combed and teeth brushed?".

Amy smiled and replied, "Yes ma'am! Come on Danny, we got to clean you up a bit!". Tails stated that he could use his toothbrush if he wanted, Danny thanking him before being led to the upstairs bathroom by Amy.

Once they were gone, Vanilla looked to the others and stated, "Okay, I want all of you to freshen up as best you can. I'll make some light snacks and drinks, hopefully this will getting the help of May Hisashi to give some protection for Danny and his parents.". The group nodded, Tails saying that Cosmo should use the downstairs restroom first to freshen up.

However, she declined and stated that she could clean herself up by going outside to soak up some sun. She would use her plant abilities to use photosynthesis to clean herself up, utilizing the garden hose to sprinkle herself with some water to start the process. It was a bit better than using the shower. This amazed the group as they did not know that she had such an ability.

In exactly ten minutes, Mayor Hisashi was at the door of the Rabbit abode. He was dressed in what appeared to be a business suit, but this one was modified with some assistance from his people. When a combat situation arose, the business suit would shift and change to become a more appropriate battle attire that would not restrict his movements and mobility. And due to the attacks from Dr. Robotnik, the function was most needed & necessary.

He knocked on the door, and answering was the alluring form of Ms. Rabbit. The powerful-looking anthro wolf smiled, always a treat to see the motherly beauty. If he was not already married to his wife who was very beautiful in her own right, he would have courted Vanilla. But he was an honorable and faithful man to his wife, and he intended to be so for all the rest of his days.

Vanilla smiled at him and said sweetly, "Good afternoon Mayor Hisashi. Please, come on in.". She moved aside and gestured for him to enter her abode, which he did as he walked past her.

He spoke as he came in, "Thank you Ms. Rabbit. It is good to see you are in good health.". He was a bit surprised when he saw not only Cream, Cheese and Tails but also Cosmo, Big, Froggy and Amy.

The leader of the village looked to his host and inquired, "I see that we have some extra guests here, but one of them I am not familiar with. Is she a friend?". Cosmo looked a bit nervous as the form of Zen Hisashi was truly intimidating, but Tails and Cream comforted her by whispering to her that despite his large form, he was a good man.

The motherly rabbit answered with a smile, "Yes she is. She is my son Tails' special friend. Her name is Cosmo.". The others chuckled at seeing the blush on the faces of Tails and Cosmo, Zen joining in as he now realized what Vanilla had meant. That the two were a couple, and in his eyes, quite the cute one.

Cosmo took a step forward, bowed slightly in respect and spoke, "Pleased to meet you Mayor Hisashi.".

He smiled and replied warmly, "And the pleasure is all mine, Miss Cosmo. Good to see you as well.".

Vanilla led the mayor to the couch, both sitting down. Mr. Hisashi looked to her and inquired again, "So Ms. Rabbit, why is it that you have called me here? You told me that it was serious.".

The mother of Cream and Tails sighed, a look of concern on her face which set off some alarm bells in the mayor's head. After a moment, she answered, "Well Mr. Hisashi, something happened yesterday. We have had a… visitor come in by means of warping.".

Mayor Hisashi raised an eyebrow and replied, "By warping? I assume that the visitor did not know the dangers of warping, especially now with the dimensional walls so thin now.". He had been told & updated on the situation concerning the Warp Zones & also other methods that involved said method of transportation.

Tails was the one who answered back, "No sir. He did not know at all. In fact, he did was by accident. And… well, we need your support in helping him and his parents settle in here.".

The anthro wolf looked to the best friend of Sonic and asked, "It must be someone important to ask for my support like so. So tell me, who is this person that you want me to support, along with his parents?".

The two-tailed genius chuckled nervously, then stepped aside long with Cosmo and Cream… to show that between Amy and Big was Danny, with Cheese on his head. He was dressed in a sharp outfit that came from Tails, which thankfully was small enough to fit on his frame nicely. Mayor Hisashi's eyes widened at seeing the six-year old human, Danny scared at seeing such a scary-looking wolf. He dug his side more into Amy, who held him and held firm.

Zen spoke with surprise in his tone, "A human child? But… how did he even get here? Was it due to Robotnik?".

Vanilla spoke firmly in a tone that surprised the mayor, "No sir, it was not due to Robotnik. This child came from Earth, from an experiment made by his parents. He came here on accident. I found him and brought him here, and he is under my protection.".

The leader of the village was only mildly surprised at this. He knew that when it came to her children, Vanilla would show impressive strength in her demeanor, tone and actions to display that she will protect them. And it seemed that this child was fortunate to be found by Vanilla, as his citizens were wary of humans due to Robotnik's actions in the past.

Amy spoke up as well in a firm tone, "He is under my protection too sir, and I will defend this little one with my mallet.". Zen knew the damage Amy's mallet could do, as he witnessed first-hand when she once smashed a large robot down to junk from one downward strike!

Cream spoke up as well, "Me too! His name is Danny Clark, and he is my friend!". Cheese spoke the same sentiment in his own language, prompting him to hug the top of Danny's head a bit harder but not harming the little human.

Zen looked to the group, then to the child who was still burying his head into Amy's side. He looked to Vanilla, then to Tails as he had a firm look on his face as well. It was a look he knew well, as Zen had seen him fight against the Badniks of Robotnik. He sighed and spoke once more in a soft but authortive tone, "Tell me everything. I need to know all the details before I make a decision.".

It seems that Mayor Zen Hisashi has met Daniel, and he needs some convincing to provide his support and protection to him and his parents when they come in. The finale is soon approaching, so be prepared for a musical event that will be one for the ages! I hope to make it like it was back in the Golden Age of Musical Theater, where musicals and such were all the rage back in the 1940s and 1950s.
