Three days later, wearing a modified Star Wars rebel helmet, Sonata was scrounging for Wi-Fi routers in Junk Harbor.
"Sunstorm, any sign of the Poachers?" asked the girl into the helmet.
Sunstorm circled the harbor high in the sky in his jet mode.
"Nothing to report," said the robot.
"Good. Keep me posted," said the former siren before changing frequencies. "Pinkie, you reading me back at the ship?"
Pinkie was helping their panther friend, Shila, get used to her healed leg again when Sonata radioed in.
"How does that feel?"
The giant feline tested it, and her leg was perfectly healed.
"Pinkie, you there?" asked Sonata.
"Reading you loud and clear. Our feline friend is doing okay for now," stated the pink-haired girl.
"That's great to hear. Now you really think we could get a message out through a video game console?" asked Sonata.
"Sunset has a few online games. If we can get a router, I may send a message saying we're okay," stated Pinkie.
"Hopefully, we can find one soon and signal for help."
"Bright side is your radio system works," stated the energetic teen.
At that moment, Sonata found a Wi-Fi router in one of the wrecks.
"Good news! I got a router!"
"Nice! Bring it back to the ship!" stated Pinkie.
"Sunstorm, I need a ride," stated the former siren. The robot dove down, and Sonata jumped onto his back. "Pinkie, we're heading back."
"Perfect," stated the girl. The transmission ended as Pinkie looked at the panther lying on its bed.
"Rest another day, and your leg should be fine tomorrow,"
The panther gave a low growl which Pinkie took as it understood. Soon the feline lay down and fell asleep. It wasn't long before Sonata came riding in as Phil manned the landing strip, waving the signal lights.
"Nice and easy. Thanks for the lift," the girl said to the robot.
"No problem," said the robot.
Sonata walked into the makeshift workshop, which was Flim and Flam's quarters.
"Got the router?" asked Pinkie as she saw the girl enter.
"Here it is," said the siren as she presented the item.
"Now we just have to set up and hope for the best."
"Can't be harder than building a human-size Transformer out of junk," stated Sonata.
"In theory," said Pinkie as she attempted to set up the router.
"I'm just going to grab a fire extinguisher real quick," stated Sonata.
The former siren left to find the object as she brought it back into the room. The girl wanted to have some insurance in case things went south.
"Okay, everyone, stand back!" declared Pinkie.
The two girls stood back as they waited to see what would happen. Pinkie switched it on and flinched.
"You good?" asked Sonata.
"Yeah," responded Pinkie.
The pair looked, and all that happened was the router turned on.
"Seems it works," said the former siren.
"Only way to see is to put in a Video Game that uses Wi-Fi. What do we got?" asked the party-loving girl.
Pinkie turned to Sonata as the girl brought out a pile of video games they managed to scavenge.
"Let's see here," said Pinkie as she searched the pile. She soon landed on one, "Tom Clancy's The Division. Perfect!" The girl slotted in the game as the systems began to fire up. "Now, this part of the plan requires luck. If we can't find Sunset, maybe we'll get lucky and find someone in town.
Pinkie then began to fiddle with the device to signal for help.
"How long do you think it'll take?" asked Sonata.
"Shouldn't be too long," Pinkie said as she tapped the buttons.
Two hours later...
"Still no luck," said Sonata.
"Nothing," responded Pinkie in the same tone.
"You've been playing for two hours and haven't encountered anyone familiar?" asked Sonata.
"Nope. I don't recognize anyone," stated Pinkie with a sigh.
"Guess it was a bad ide... Wait, who's Color Blast27?" asked Sonata as she looked at the username on the screen.
"Don't know. Let's take a look," stated Pinkie.
Pinkie checked the profile, and it was Rainbow Dash's.
"That's Rainbow's profile!" squealed the girl.
"Well, send her a message!" stated Sonata.
Pinkie then began to type away as she hoped to get a message to her friend to inform her about her situation.
Back at Canterlot City...
"Huh?!" said Rainbow.
The chromatic-haired girl got a notification that she was receiving a message.
"Dashie, it's me. Pinkie Pie. I'm stranded on an island with Sonata Dusk. Evil Poachers, led by Crosshair, wants to kill us. Need reinforcements," read the girl before sending a message back, "How are you contacting me?"
Pinkie got a response and sent another message.
"It's a long story. But just know we're fine but need help."
"Okay. Tell me where exactly you are. Anything that looks like a landmark or something noticeable?"
Pinkie turned to look at Sonata.
"Do we have any landmarks to give?"
Sonata looked over at the maps.
"No labeling. Wait, the FlimFlam Brothers shipment! That might give a clue." stated the former siren.
"Rainbow, try the FlimFlam Brothers. They're doing business with Crosshair. They might know where we are." said Pinkie as she sent the message.
"On it!" responded the chromatic-haired girl.
"Tell everyone we're okay and safe," said Pinkie.
"Will do. Don't worry, we'll find you soon," said Rainbow as she sent the message.
Sonata then whispered something to the girl.
"Also, see if there's a bounty for Crosshair and company. Might be a decent profit," said Pinkie as she relayed that message to her friend.
"I don't know about that. Only Twilight and her brother would know that kind of info," stated Rainbow.
"Thanks."
Pinkie then switched off the game.
"Well, the plan worked," said Sonata.
"Yeah, now... we wait," stated Pinkie.
"Let's hope they find a clue," said Sonata.
