Byakuya watched unamused while the others looked shocked at the sight of a stumbling Aizen who looked horrible -sick even. The all Gotei 13 Captains and lieutenants stood in the Division 1 barracks as they observed this... surprising sight.
Rangiku: No way,is he drunk?
Hiyori: He looks drunk to me.
Momo stared with a worry filled gaze as Aizen stumbled over until he stood right next to Byakuya who fixed him with a reprimanding stare and Aizen just smiled innocently. This exchange really shocked the Division 5 lieutenant.
Kyōraku: Alright, what's this about?
Byakuya: Kyōraku-soutaicho,I refuse to house this treacherous man any longer. And therefore I stand before you and everyone here to claim that I withdraw my contribution and support to this man's case.
Everyone managed to look even more surprised.
Isane: You can't do that-
The woman tried to reason but immediately stopped and stepped back unconsciously when sharp,steel gray eyes met hers in a full cold glare.
Byakuya: In actual fact, I can. I refuse to be abused in my own home-
Aizen:(confused) Abused?
The man blinked a few times and then laughed.
Aizen: Heh, that's taking it too far Byakuya...
Byakuya: Shut up.
Aizen pouted and tried to reach out for the lean figure but was slapped away harshly by Renji who gave him a glare of his own.
Renji: Don't touch what doesn't belong to you.
Aizen: He doesn't belong to you either.
Aizen slurred out slowly and moved away, creating a decent distance between him and Renji. Even when he was drunk,he disliked the redhead.
Zaraki: Ah,I see what's going on here. You can't stand these two men trying to get into your pants huh Kuchiki?
Byakuya: What I do not stand is you speaking to me.
Zaraki: Ha, you're so full of yourself. I'm going to fix that sharp mouth of yours one of these days and teach you manners.
Byakuya: I should be saying that.
Zaraki: I really don't like your stinky personality and attitude,it makes me want to crush you like a little bug that you are.
Byakuya: A bug? Please. My personality is who I am and my attitude depends on who you are.
Zaraki moved forward only to be held back by Toshirou who looked really annoyed about this whole situation.
Toshirou: Can we save the fighting for later and deal with the situation at hand first? I mean,if you haven't realized it's nighttime. Everyone needs to rest.
Kyōraku: Thank you,Hitsugaya-taicho. Now if I may ask...what brought this on, Kuchiki-taicho.
Byakuya: Does it really matter? Infact,this just proves how all of you are failing to do your job. This man,he managed to fool all of you again.
Kyōraku:(cocks an eyebrow) Meaning?
Byakuya gave him a pointed glare and Kyōraku shifted his gaze to Renji looking for answers.
Renji: I don't know what's going on either. I mean the staff told me he's been acting strange all day but(sighs) when I came back home he was distant and just as we were about to...uh,go to bed he bolted out and went over to Aizen's room and...I guess we're here now.
Kyōraku frowned and stared at Aizen.
Kyōraku: What did you do?
Aizen: What? I'm innocent!
Byakuya: Clearly he has all of us fooled!
Kyōraku: You need to calm down and explain everything to us, Kuchiki-taicho. We cannot solve anything when-
Byakuya: He used his Kyouka Suigetsu on me.
Everyone froze and the temperature immediately dropped in the room, everyone now looking alert.
Mayuri: That's impossible...it can't be true.
Byakuya: Are you insinuating that I am lying?
Mayuri: But how? I went through proper measures to make sure that dangerous zanpakuto was sealed and hidden away in a place where no one could've-
Byakuya: It is clear then that you did not proceed through proper measures as I saw and touched it myself.
Kyōraku: Are you sure you were not hallucinating maybe?
Byakuya: Why would I- ofcourse I am certain.
Mayuri: Sotaicho,give me a minute. I'll check.
The mad scientist stepped aside and made a quick call only to return to them later.
Mayuri: There must've been a mistake, Kyouka Suigetsu is still where I put it last so what you saw couldn't possibly be it.
Byakuya: Are you saying I am crazy now?
Kyōraku: We did not say that, Kuchiki-taicho. Maybe-
Byakuya: I saw it. I touched it. Even Renji said I was acting strange!
Mayuri: It doesn't prove what you've just claimed.
Byakuya: Fine, believe what you will. You people are just so narrow minded you fail to realize the truth even if it is presented right infront of you. You told me to keep an eye on him but you will not believe what I have just said. What is the use...
Kyōraku: We didn't say we were going to overlook your accusation,all investigations will be done to assure what you saw was true.
Byakuya seemed relieved at that.
Byakuya: Thank you. But I no longer want to spend anymore time with him, saying that I request that someone else take over in my stead.
Soi Fon: No way. No one wants to stay with that monster.
Byakuya: You think I do?
Soi Fon: You spent a month with him.
Kyōraku: Captains please. I understand Kuchiki-taicho needs a break and so I will take Aizen Soūsuke for a few days until it is decided what we do next.
Soi Fon: That's good,take him. He should have been with you in the first place.
Renji: Or back in the Muken,where he belongs.
Byakuya: I do not care what you do with him as long as I do not come across him ever again.
Byakuya said and turned to leave, everyone following after him while Kyōraku stared at Aizen with a bored look.
Kyōraku: What am I going to do with you?
Aizen: Get me a good place to sleep, I'm tired.
Kyōraku let out a lazy sigh and shook his head...
