The party bar was full of excitement as the Red-Hair pirates were drinking, eating, and being merry Yamato had gotten into some arm-wrestling matches with her fellow crewmates and had been on a hot streak. Whether or not that had been due to her crewmates holding back or her just being that strong that remained up in the air the one true thing was that Yamato was having a blast as she and Benn were currently in an epic arm wrestling match with Yasopp, Lucky Roo, and Monster Punch cheering them on.
"Come on Beckmen! End the hot streak here!"
"Fight on Yamato!"
The first mate and the Oni of the Red-Hair pirates were still in a deadlock until Yamato began to falter slightly giving Benn the edge he needed to bring Yamato's hand down on the table for the win.
"Gotcha."
"Aww man."
Yamato pouted as Benn smiled at her.
"Maybe next time Yamato."
Yamato looked at the first mate of Shanks her orange eyes full of determination.
"Next time Benn-san. I'll beat you and avenge my loss."
"I'll look forward to it."
Yamato then made her way to the bar her stomach rumbled for food as she sat down, and she was greeted by a sight she had seen nearly every day since Shanks had made this place their base to settle down for a bit which was Luffy trying to get Shanks to let him join the crew.
"Shanks. I'm gonna be a pirate so take me with you guys next time."
"No way Luffy."
"Huh? Why?"
"You're too much of a kid and a pirate ship isn't a playground."
"I'm not that much of a kid plus you have Uta and Oden on board. So why not me?"
Shanks smiled and chuckled.
"Uta knows when to hide when the fighting starts and Oden can handle himself when he's not defending Uta."
Luffy pouted as he noticed Yamato at the bar peacefully eating before he and Shanks did a little game where Shanks hid a coin under a cup if Luffy could guess where the coin was Shanks would take him with them on their next expedition but suffice to say Luffy lost the game cause he didn't guess or predict that Shanks would've hidden the coin inside his mouth to Luffy's dismay as he called it cheating. The whole interaction made Yamato smile as she finished her meal with a satisfied burp.
"Thanks, Makino. I'm sorry I can't pay for the food but I promise on my name I Kozuki Oden will pay you with the next big treasure we get from our voyage."
Yamato proclaimed with a fist raised to the sky making Makino laugh.
"Okay, Yamato."
Yamato smiled as she hopped down from the bar before heading over to Luffy and her captain.
"Luffy."
"Huh? What's up, Oden?"
Yamato smiled at him.
"I'll make you a deal. If you beat me in a fight you can join us. That okay Shanks-kichi?"
Shanks laughed.
"Of course Yamato."
Luffy was now confused.
"Hey wait a minute. Is your name Oden or Yamato?"
Yamato smiled as she didn't mind explaining this to Luffy.
"My name is Yamato but the person who became my hero the person who I idolized; Kozuki Oden was a man so I chose to become a man too."
Luffy stared at Yamato for a second his face had a confused expression.
"Wait you can't just be someone else. That doesn't make any sense."
"What?! That makes a lot of sense."
"Nuh-uh. Do you even hear how you sound? Just because you claim to be Oden doesn't make it true."
Luffy said as he narrowed his eyes and pointed at Yamato.
"What do you mean Nuh-uh?!"
Yamato shouted angrily at Luffy pointing at the boy.
"If that's how you feel then you're more Oden than me. Happy?!"
Luffy only scowled in response.
"More Oden? What does that even mean?"
The two were getting deeper into their argument when a third figure entered the bar and it was none other than Uta who broke the both of them up.
"Hey. That's enough."
Uta chopped both her sister and Luffy on the head making them stop arguing and turn to the diva of the Red-Hair pirates.
"Quit arguing with my sister Luffy and don't get too close to her or Shanks."
"What?"
Uta then turned to Yamato.
"Why'd you let him get to you? You're one year older than him."
Yamato turned her head and pouted not saying a word.
"Maou Yamato. Whatever it doesn't matter now but I was serious. I don't want you getting too close to Shanks or Yamato in that tacky outfit."
Luffy looked at her in confusion.
"Tacky? It's not tacky!"
Shanks then chimed in.
"Uta's our diva so she knows a thing or two about fashion."
Yamato rapidly nodded in agreement with Shanks while UTA smiled smugly.
"I'm the diva of the Red-Hair pirates and Shanks' daughter."
"Pirates and music are inseparable."
Yamato nodded in agreement with Shanks before Yamato got an idea.
"Hey, Uta. Why don't you sing?"
Uta smiled as the rest of the Red-Hair pirates prepared to make their diva a mini-stage UTA hopped up on a table and her boots landed on a small cloth as she tapped her boot a couple of times giving herself a beat before she started singing.
"Where did it come from?
Where could this wind be taking us?
I look up to the sky hoping for answers
But there's no reply. Where will it end up
This song that I've been a vessel for?
I look within knowing I'll find the answer
Even on my own."
"Let's row out to the open sea Far as we can go
To the unknown."
As Uta started singing Yamato as always began to reminisce about her time aboard Shanks' ship as a part of the crew as she listened to her sisters singing while Luffy on the other hand was just staring at the performance of the Red-Haired pirates diva.
"I've got to keep on dreaming
No surrendering, go on
Hoist the sail inside my open heart
And let me heed the call of the sea. I've got to keep on singing
Until you feel it, just hold on
Oh, the winds will change, I promisе you
My voice will see us through to the end."
The entire party bar was wrapped up and engulfed with UTAs' singing.
"All of us sеarching
Trying to find our happiness
Our hands reach out, and all we find is pain
Still we must try again. What if that sorrow
Becomes the strength that we're lookin' for?
Then we can weather any storm that comes
Ready for what's in store. When all is said and done
I hope that we will meet again
At the ending. Let me keep on living this waking dream
There's no waking me, let's dream on
I see something far ahead of me
A path that's waiting for me just beyond. I'll always be here singing
Until you feel it, just hold on
Oh, my voice will be the wind that fills
Your sails so you can still carry on. I've got to keep on dreaming
Never surrendering, go on
Oh, and even if I disappear
My song will still ring out for you to hear. I've got to keep on singing
Want you to feel it, just hold on
Oh, the winds will change, I promise you
My voice will see us through to the end."
With that Uta finished her singing and all the Red Hair pirates including Yamato cheered for her while Luffy stared for a while longer before he kept smiling.
"Hey, I can sing too."
At this Yamato's eyes went wide at Luffy's statement.
"Really Luffy? I wanna hear you sing then."
Luffy smiled.
"Sure."
Luffy took a breath before he started singing.
"Oh, tHe IslAnDs in ThE SoUtH ArE WarM...
AnD tHeIr HeAdS GeT ReaLlY HoT…"
UTA ran out of the Party Bar as fast as she could covering her ears in pain over Luffy's singing.
"That's bad. You suck! You're off-pitch!"
Uta complained as she covered her headphones while everyone else followed her outside of the bar mainly Luffy, Yamato, Shanks, Benn, Lucky Roo, and Monster.
"That'll make the Red-Haired Pirates and my sister's IQ drop!"
Luffy looked at her in confusion as did Yamato with the Oni girl speaking first.
"It wasn't that bad Uta."
"Yes, it was! It's already affecting you Yamato!"
Luffy then spoke up.
"Really?"
"Yes!"
Luffy then got a little angry at the diva.
"That's not true!"
Uta then started to cry.
"Shanks!"
"There, There Uta."
Yamato walked around and started stroking her sister on the back.
"You three are the same age. Be friends."
Shanks said wanting the three kids to get along but Uta objected.
"I'm nine and Yamato is eight. Don't group us together with a seven-year-old kid."
Shanks then turned to the seven-year-old kid.
"Luffy! Show Uta and Yamato around Windmill Village."
So he did as Luffy gave Uta and Yamato the tour they climbed a cliff to where the trio had a race which Uta at first didn't want to but after Yamato encouraged her and Luffy teased her she agreed, unfortunately, Yamato once the race with relative ease but in the end, the trio had a nice laugh about it as they kept exploring and have many other challenges which were won by either Yamato or Uta but the best part came in the end when the three of them got to watch from an abandoned windmill what could only be described a gorgeous sunset with many shades of red, orange, and pink.
Yamato looked at it in awe.
"This Island is incredible Luffy. You get to see this every day?"
"Yup. You've seen some awesome things with Shanks right?"
Yamato nodded her head rapidly with Uta chiming in.
"We've seen cooler at sea but this isn't bad Luffy."
Luffy smiled at the two girls as this was the start of an amazing friendship.
The Red-Haired Pirates had left Foosha's port on another expedition to who knows where but during their travels that's when Yamato spotted the next Island.
"Shanks. I see it! The next Island!"
"Oh? Already Yamato?"
"Mm-hmm. It's right there."
The island itself was composed of three land masses. The largest island had approximately two-thirds of its land reconstructed into a concert hall. Behind the concert were what appeared to be large green crystals, and behind that was what appeared to be a rocky mountain. There also appeared to be around five brownstone towers of varying heights on the island. The smallest islet had a large brown stone tower which is connected to the other two islands by bridges. The middle-sized island had a town and a harbor, as well as at least one stone tower.
Shanks looked to where Yamato was pointing and he saw it too as Uta joined her dad up front with her sister.
"What kind of Island is that Shanks?"
"From what I recall that's Elegia the Island of Music."
"Music!"
Uta exclaimed her purple eyes going wide with excitement while Yamato's orange eyes also went wide with curiosity and wonder.
"Island of Music huh? I can't wait to explore it."
