After the 3rd Hunger Games became one of the most viewed Hunger Games in Capitol history, the 4th Annual Hunger Games began 11 months later. President Leonardo Harma had stepped down from assisting Head Gamemaker Renee Whitlock, but occasionally would voice his opinion on Renee's arenas. This year features the first year where all careers volunteered, which would go on to become a tradition over the next decades. The arena for the 4th Annual Hunger Games was a forest biome, and while it wasn't the most popular arena in the games, it was filled with surprises.

The Games:
As usual, the tributes were taken to the underground podiums. This year however, they were taken there by hovercraft. The tributes would put on their custom arena uniforms and would get into their pods, rising up into the arena. The holographic countdown began and when it hit 0 a gong sounded, signaling the start of the 4th Annual Hunger Games.
The careers were faster than the outlying tributes, so they were the first to arrive at the cornucopia. Sheen would take a sword, and plunged it into the first tribute he laid eyes on.
24th: Dora Taiga (D5), Stabbed by Sheen (D1)
Dale grabbed a katana and charged at Imperio. The two boys fought with their weapons. However, Imperio came out on top, stabbing the boy in the chest with his sword.
23rd: Dale McCallum (D11), Stabbed by Imperio (D2)
Maria and Eddie would be some of the few tributes to avoid being attacked, Eddie saw little Markus and stabbed him.
22nd: Markus Eggleston (D5), Stabbed by Eddie (D9)
Eddie's victory was short-lived when a knife was thrown into the back of his skull by Diana. Maria screamed and abandoned her dying ally.
21st: Eddie Marx (D9), Knife thrown into skull by Diana (D1)
Carrie and Knox were surrounded by Aquarius and Emma, and unfortunately were slaughtered by them.
20th: Carrie Jensen (D7), Stabbed by Aquarius (D4)
19th: Knox Aiken (D7), Stabbed by Emma (D4)
After the deaths of Carrie and Knox everyone had left beside the careers. The bloodbath of the 4th Annual Hunger Games had ended.
Later on night 1, Cody is attacked by jabberjays. His eyes were poked out of his face by the merciless birds.
18th: Cody Keller (D12), Eyes gouged out by jabberjay mutts
No deaths occurred on day 2.
On day 3, Alec and Naomi were hunted by the careers. Sheen killed Alec with his sword, while Imperio killed Naomi with his sword.
17th: Alec Trinket (D8), Stabbed by Sheen (D1)
16th: Naomi Ziegler (D8), Stabbed by Imperio (D8)
The next day went without any deaths.
On day 5, Sofia ate nightlocks accidentally. The girl died just a minute later from the toxic berries.
15th: Sofia Springsteen (D11), Accidentally ate nightlock berries
On night 5, Grace was found by the duo from ten by the fire she made. Because of this, Zane promptly killed the girl by snapping her neck.
14th: Grace Windsor (D12), Neck snapped by Zane (D10)
The next day went without any deaths.
On Day 7, allies Danny and Hillary both succumbed to lack of food
13th: Danny Sparks (D3), Died of hunger
12th: Hilary Markovic (D3), Died of hunger
The remaining eleven tributes were invited to the cornucopia for the feast, though only the careers, Zane, Amelia, and Maria attended. The career tributes were guarding the supplies. Due to Maria's sneakiness she was able to retrieve her bag, but Amelia and Zane weren't so lucky. Zane was beheaded by Imperio, while Amelia's throat was slit by Emma, but not before Amelia stabbed Emma in the chest as she slit her throat.

The feast concluded shortly afterwards. The careers took the items from those who didn't attend.
On day 7, Danny attacked Sheen. Sheen was much stronger than Danny and sliced the boy's chest open.

The last living duo, Anthony and Jaime, were attacked by the careers. Jaime was immediately shot in the head with a crossbow bolt from Bulla. Anthony, who was angered by this, managed to take out both Bulla and Diana, but a vengeful Imperio swiftly sliced off Anthony's head.

The finale had begun. This left Imperia, Sheen, and Maria. The two career boys tracked Maria down at the cornucopia and Sheen stabbed her in the chest. Her body fell, and before Sheen could whip around, Imperio stabbed Sheen in the throat with his sword, watching his body fall to the floor. A huge grin appeared on Imperio's face as he realized he had won.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you the victor of the 4th Annual Hunger Games, Imperio Lewis of District Two!"
The hovercraft came down with its ladder and picked Imperio up, taking him out of the arena.
Aftermath:
While Imperio wasn't as popular as Shad, he still tried to keep his fame up. After becoming District Two's first victor he embarked on a victory tour, and then moved into District Two's victor's village. He opened his own academy in District Two and went into mentoring Hunger Games champions. He passed away from a stroke in 64 A.D.D. at the age of 77.
