The 5th Annual Hunger Games was around the corner, and President Harma wanted Renee to do something more spectacular this year. This year had volunteers for 1, 2, 4. The arena this year was a gorgeous red oak forest with huge oak trees, a small lake, snowy mountains, and a singular cave.

The Games:
The tributes as per usual were escorted to the podium room, dressed up in their custom arena outfit, and placed in their tubes. When they rose up into the arena the holographic countdown began, and when it hit zero the tributes ran for the supplies in the cornucopia.
Syren was the first tribute to make it to the cornucopia, quickly swooping up a trident and threw it into the first tribute her eyes fell upon.
24th: Ida Newcombe (D9), Trident thrown into back by Syren (D4)
Many tributes began to freak out at the bloodshed they just witnessed. This gave George and Trenton their chance to get their first kill. George stabbed William in the chest, while Trenton used the other trident and stabbed Willa.
23rd: William Lively (D6), Stabbed by George (D2)
22nd: Willa West (D11), Stabbed by Trenton (D4)
The tributes began taking their supplies and fleeing the cornucopia, but some were chased by other tributes. Bracken was grabbed by the back in his shirt and his throat was slit by Dana.
21st: Bracken Ridge (D7), Throat slit by Dana (D9)
The final two deaths of the bloodbath were Felix and Gleam. Felix was stabbed in the neck by George, while Gleam was abused by Robert and was decapitated.
20th: Felix Appleby (D11), Stabbed by George
19th: Gleam Pell (D1), Head sliced off by Robert (D10)
The bloodbath of the 5th Annual Hunger Games has ended. Most of the tributes had left by it after the time Gleam was killed. This year's bloodbath had a smaller amount of deaths then years past.
Later on night 1, Roma was found when Syren and Trenton went hunting for dinner. The two tortured the girl, before killing her.

On day 2, allies Jesse and James were founded by another set of allies, Dana, Volta, and Foster. Before Volta and Foster could help, Dana quickly sliced at both tributes, killing them.
17th: Jesse Payne (D3), Chest sliced by Dana (D9)
16th: James Handed (D3), Chest sliced by Dana (D9)
Day 3 went without any deaths.
On day 4, Aston came across Marnie. Marnie, who was deathly afraid of being murdered, stabbed the girl in his chest as he charged at her.
15th: Aston Black (D6), Stabbed by Marnie (D12)
On day 5, Lamb was severely injured by a mountain lion mutt while hunting in the mountains with Robert. She died of her injuries a few minutes later.
14th: Lamb Arnett (D10), Died of blood loss inflicted by mountain lion mutt
On night 5, Aurora decided to try to steal items from the careers camp, but to her surprise they were there when she came. George easily took the girls out.
13th: Aurora Viado (D7), Stabbed by George (D2)
Day 6 went without any deaths.
On day 7, Robert who has been grieving over Lamb's death jumped off the mountain cliff.
12th: Robert Brunson (D10), Jumped off mountain cliff
On day 8, the career pack was ambushed by Dana, Volta, and Foster. Pearl was killed by Dana with his sword, but Foster was stabbed in the heart by Syren with her trident. To get revenge, Volta threw one of her throwing knives into George's throat.
11th: Pearl Maguire (D1), Stabbed by Dana (D9)
10th: Foster Kai (D5), Stabbed by Syren (D4)
9th: George Calloway (D2), Knife thrown into throat by Volta (D5)
Day 9 went without any deaths.
On day 10, Ryan and Marnie got into an argument, and Ryan attempted to attack his district partner. Marnie dodged his attack, and stabbed him in his abdomen. She then ran off from her dying ally.
8th: Ryan Stone (D12), Stabbed by Marnie (D12)
On day 11, Trenton and Nolan were fighting over who gets to kill who. Trenton took it a step further and stabbed Nolan in the chest, but before he did Nolan attacked too and stabbed him in the throat. The two boys died minutes after their fight.
7th: Trenton Lovelace (D4), Stabbed by Nolan (D2)
6th: Nolan Stone (D2), Stabbed by Trenton (D2)
On night 11, Alexander was attacked by tracker jackers after trying to pick fruit from the trees. He died from his severe injuries sustained.
5th: Alexander Quigley (D8), Killed by tracker jackers
The final four tributes: Syren, Volta, Dana, and Marnie, were called for the finale. This makes the first ever finale being a final 4.
After arriving at the cornucopia, the tributes were chased by grizzly bear mutts, forcing them to climb the cornucopia. Volta sees the now crazed Dana behead Marnie, without even thinking the girl threw one of her knives into his skull.
4th: Dana Cotter (D9), Knife thrown into skull by Volta (D5)
The remaining three would continue the fight, Marnie and Volta both agreed to take Syren out first. Syren would attempt to evade their attacks, and was able to dodge Volta, but couldn't dodge Marnie's and landed straight into her dagger.
3rd: Syren Willis (D4), Stabbed by Marnie (D12)
Before Marnie could even thank Volta for helping her, Marnie felt a sharp pain in her stomach. She looked down and saw a knife in her stomach which was thrown by Volta. Tears formed down her face, Volta staring into Marnie's face trying not to cry as Marnie crumbled onto the roofing of the cornucopia.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present to you the victor of the 5th Annual Hunger Games, Volta Wyatt of District Five!"
Volta looks up at the hovercraft with anger in her eyes as its ladder comes down to pick Volta up, taking her out of the arena.
The Aftermath:
While Volta wasn't as popular as Marybeth or Ariane, she was relatively popular by the Capitol and outlying districts except 9, and 12. She was adored by her district since she was their first ever victor. Volta was traumatized by the games, causing her to have nightmares her whole life. This caused her to take sleeping medication to help her get through each night. In the summer of 31 A.D.D. while staying at a hotel in the Capitol, she was found unresponsive by her boyfriend, Michael. The paramedics shortly arrived and pronounced Volta dead at the scene, her cause of death was overdosing on the same medications she had been taking for the last 3 decades. She passed away at a young 47 years old. District 5 celebrates her memory every year on her birthday.
