"And we're back!" The host, Josh, announced. "What a shocking season that was! Nearly two years since its initial premier, Total Drama has finished out its third season, and what an exciting finish that was, the finale breaking ratings records for our studio!"
"That's great Josh, but I'm sure our viewers don't want to hear the annual report." Blainely chimed in, the pair doing their usual routine. Not much had changed for them the past year- sure, Blainley had a brief stint on the reality show in question, but she hoped they could just ignore that for now. "What they really want to know is the drama. Or rather- where are they now?"
"Starting with our total Drama leftovers , a large number of players didn't return for this final season. Of course, Trent and Justin ended up reuniting with Harold and continuing their career as the Drama Brothers , while Katie and Sadie continued attempting to start up that fashion line of theirs-" Blainely scoffed reading that, both to add to her TV personality, and because honestly, what did those two know about fashion ? "The others are also still continuing their wonderfully mediocre and probably unfulfilling lives. Our friendly two time loser, one time player, Eva, is using her brief burst of fame to open up her own gym. Word on the street is that there's already been a few hospital trips out of there!"
The sensationalization continued. The show had just ended, but of course it must go on. There was even a rumor swirling around that Chris was planning a new season despite the contracts of the original cast finally being up- who knew how that'd go.
"Onto our final two for the season, Alejandro and Sierra." Josh had finally gotten a chance to speak on what was typically the Blainely show. "Alejandro appears to have finally hooked up with Heather, and the two were last seen at the Hawaii airport, having skipped the afterparty."
"I'd probably skip that thing too. Come on, you and your girl plan out the whole season, only to lose to some boy crazed girl?" Blainely complained loudly, though it was clear her complaints were more about her own experiences with the show. "Speaking of that, resident crazy and a certain player's number one hater, Sierra. After winning her million, the girl pretty much disappeared, but not before leaving behind a few mysteries of her own."
"During the filming of the twenty-fifth episode, something odd happened. Yes, odder than our cute little contestants themselves." Her laugh was way too creepy. "It seemed Sierra was talking to someone on her radio, though that someone never made it into the final cut. Just who might that mysterious stranger have been?"
"Maybe it was our two missing contestants?" Josh suggested, with two familiar silhouettes appearing on screen. "Cody, Dawn, where the heck are you two!?"
Blainely cleared her throat. "It came as a shock to everyone when Cody and Dawn first arrived on the plane, but nothing could prepare anyone for their exit, the two plummeting in each other's arms. How romantic ." Blainely attempted a soft purr, but it came across more as a disgusted growl. "Normally a member of the crew would arrive soon after to pick them up and bring them over to the studio, but they were nowhere to be seen. Investigations have continued for the past few weeks, but the two competitors still haven't turned up. What do you think Josh, a romantic getaway in the African safari, or do you think they just got taken by nature?"
"I don't know what it could be, but I do know one thing- our ratings have never been better-!"
Sierra turned the TV off.
She had been back home for a while, suitcase of money sitting lazily at her feet. She hadn't bothered opening it- honestly, she didn't care too much about it. She never went on for the money or the fame, she never went on to get noticed or be a star. She just wanted to meet her idols, and get revenge.
She'd done one of those things.
With a resigned sigh, Sierra thought back to that twenty-fifth episode, and the voice that contacted her when she was on that hot air balloon. Chris got real mad when he interrupted the song, but for Sierra… she'd never been happier.
Hail pelted down on the makeshift hot air balloon, Sierra desperately trying to block it, while thankful she wasn't in Gwen and Alejandro's situation. It sounded like the two were fighting in the hail. On a train. She was crazy, but not that crazy.
"I-I'm gonna make it! You can't stop me now, just you try!" Gwen's voice sounded through the radio, and Sierra stared. She could see herself 'making' it, but why was she even here now? She'd done everything she wanted to… mostly everything. Cody had gotten the last jab in at the end, and now he was gone, and from what she overheard, he might be gone for good. What did he mean when he said 'win it for you'? Why did he say it
"Hey, Sierra, did you forget?" Chris' voice came through the radio, his voice not smug, but annoyed. He was clearly sick of this after what happened last week. "SIng or you're out. And people hate disqualifications like that, so please give me a break."
But she didn't know what to sing. She didn't know why she was here, or what she was gonna do if she won, or what she'd do if she even won it all. A million dollars, money people would kill to have, and she had it in her grasp… but she didn't want it. What she wanted was-
What she wanted was-
Was-
"You're gonna make it… they can't stop you now, let them try!" That awkward voice… huh?
"Hey, you're not supposed to be on this line! Chef, get him off, pronto!" Chris' angry voice came through, but he was quickly interrupted by the continued singing.
"Your fortune's waiting! And they can kiss it all, bye-bye-bye!" Why… Why was he doing this?
"Come on Sierra. You can do it- I believe in you!" Why did he believe in her? Why, why, why, why-!
"I'm gonna make it!"
She ended up singing her heart out. From the brink of disqualification and wondering why she was still there, to million dollar winner. So… what came now?
"Win it for you."
Sierra shook her head. Maybe… It was time for her to move on too.
End of Part 4
