Chapter 10:

As they walked past the vendors at the main stage Kagome felt this weight in her chest. She knew she had to say something about what was eating at her. She just didn't know how to form the words she needed to say. How do I tell him I sensed Kikyo's presence earlier? He got weird after I braided that girl's hair and he spoke to her. I just don't know what to say. Kagome thought as she walked right into Inuyasha who had stopped at the bottom of the hill to walk up towards the waterpark.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to walk right into you."

"It's fine Kagome."

"Why'd you stop?"

"I told you I'd give you a ride up the hill before didn't I? I'm just keeping my word."

"Oh. Thank you. We don't have to if you don't want to."

"Nah it's alright this will be faster anyway. So we can get back to the music."

"You're right but I don't mind walking."

"Seriously I don't mind." Inuyasha said squatting down a little so she could hop on. "Let's go."

Kagome reluctantly climbed on his back and he walked them back up the hill, through the waterpark and back to the campgrounds. They walked in silence until they got back to the campgrounds.

Inuyasha couldn't help being in his own head. Man how do I tell Kagome that Kikyo is here? How can I do that without her freaking out. I don't want anything with Kikyo but how do I prove that to Kagome. They made it back to camp and he put Kagome down.

"Kagome-"

"Kikyo is here."

"What? Wait how did you know what I was going to say?"

"I sensed her. And then seeing the way you kind of shut down after that girl Kocho left after you spoke to here only solidified what I was already thinking was the case."

"Kagome I-"

"I'm not done. I get that you and Kikyo were a thing. I am totally fine if you want to be with her this weekend instead of me. I mean why wouldn't you. You two have been off and on since college and you always get back together so why wouldn't I be surprised that you would want to spend the weekend with her. She's beautiful and I'm just that weird hippie chick that your friends with. I'm totally resigned to the fact thatmph!-"

Before she could finish what she was saying Inuyasha had smashed his lips into hers. Kagome's mind went blank. Breaking the kiss she took a second before speaking. "I'm so confused. What was that for?"

"You were babbling and talking nonsense. So I decided to stop you."

"And you had to do that by kissing me?" Kagome said deadpanned.

"I needed some way to get you to stop and kissing you made the most sense."

"I don't see how that makes sense if you're gonna be with Kikyo the rest of the weekend."

"Jeez Kagome. I don't give a damn about Kikyo. I kissed you to show you that I don't. I want to spend this festival with you not her."

"I don't see why you do."

"Because Kagome. I am an idiot who would rather hang out with some weird hippie chick as you put it."

"Still through."

"I don't want her. And don't ever think you're just some weird hippie chick. You're a beautiful accomplished nurse and a Miko. Who cares if you surf and love music and going to concerts and festivals."

"Well..."

"Kagome. This isn't something I do. I don't open up to people. You're amazing. I've always admired that. And I feel stupid that I've never made a move besides that one night and I was stupid for getting back with Kikyo after that. It took me a while to realize that she wasn't what I wanted. She has never fully accepted me. You have." He looked away from her blushing.

"Yash I don't know what you want me to say here."

"Then don't say anything." He turned to her, cupped her face in his hands and kissed her again. "I want whatever this is right now. And we don't have to do anything if you don't want to but I just want you to know that I'm not just here to support Miroku and Sango this weekend. I came here to see you."

"Oh." Kagome's eyes widened. She looked into his golden eyes for any hint of a lie and couldn't find anything. She smiled at him. Her arousal spiked and she found herself pulling him into a hungry kiss. Inuyasha deepened the kiss and moved her to the couch at the campsite.He sat down on the couch as they continued to kiss and Kagome straddled him. Breaking the kiss she sat there breathless looking at him. "Can I... take off your shirt?" She blushed.

"Fair is fair though Kagome. If my shirt comes off so does yours." Inuyasha smirked. He was about to go in for another kiss when Kagome slid the straps of her top off her shoulders and pushed her slit weave tank down to her waist exposing her breasts. "Fuck you're beautiful." He sat up and let her take off his shirt. Both of them sitting on the couch in their campsite topless taking each other in. His clawed hand cupped her left breast and squeezed as the other hand reached behind her head and brought her in for another kiss. Breaking the kiss he started to trail kisses down her neck stopping in the crook of her neck where he pulse point was he thought in his head I could make her mine if I just bit down. Fuck no I can't do that. Not without permission. Why the hell am I thinking that. I never thought about doing that with Kikyo. I can't think about this right now. He continued the kisses down her chest until he found her breast. Taking her nipple his is mouth he flicked it with his tongue. Kagome moaned and her scent spiked. "Y-Yeah you're right." Kagome slipped her top back on. "Let me change my battery for my hoop and put away the other one." Kagome got up from where they were sitting, grabbing her day hoop she went back into her tent. That was...wow.Touching her lips she smiled as she grabbed what she needed from her tent and stepped back out. "You ready?"

"Yeah Kagome let's head back."

"I'm gonna text Sango and let her know we are on the way back." She said as they started walking down through the campsites back to the festival entrance.

KAGOME: Hey! We're on our way back down.

SANGO: Awesome! So question.

KAGOME: Yeah?

SANGO: Did you and Yash talk about what you sensed?

KAGOME: I told him I sensed her at the same time he was going to tell me she was here.

SANGO: Kagome I'm sorry.

KAGOME: Don't be! Let's just say things got a little heated on the couch. I'll spare you the details for now.

SANGO: Did you fuck on the couch?!

KAGOME: No! We stopped before anything go too far because we have a set to see. So I'll see you soon!

Kagome put her phone away and grabbed InuYasha's hand after they walked through security.

"You know..."

"What?"

"We could get back to our seats faster if I gave you a ride."

"As much fun as that would be I am enjoying walking with you. We can save the rides for later." Can I ask you a question?"

"Yeah. What about?"

"How did you know she was here? Did she text you?"

"No. that girl that asked you to do her hair that I talked to is one of her best friends. She told me she was here."

"Is that so? What was this girl scoping out the competition for her friend?" Kagome laughed.

"There's no competition little Miko. Or do I need to remind you of what just happened on the couch."

"Hmmm. Maybe later." Kagome turned crimson.

"I should tell you that she did call me yesterday while you were enjoying your shower."

"What did she say to you."

"That she missed me. And she wanted me to skip the festival to be with her."

"She should have known you weren't going to do that or she wouldn't have gone and got platinum VIP."

"You're right. She's probably up to something to try and win me back. "

"Oh."

"Don't worry little Miko I have no plans to run back to her. All I see is you and I'd like to see more of your perky boobies." He gave her a devilish grin and smacked her ass.

"Yash we can play more later. I wanna see this set." Kagome giggled.

"Inu-Love!"

Kagome and InuYasha whipped their heads toward his name only to see Kikyo standing at a food vendor in front of them.
