Chapter 29 Siblings Problems
Issei opened the door to be removed by a new site. Thousands of monster bodies lay on the ground as Sanguinius stood triumphantly over them. An army stood by her side of men and women. All holding great stoic expressions.
The air was filled with great bloody glory. Issei couldn't see that Sanguinius was now grown up. Though wearing some barbarian outfit. Holding a spear with gore covering the silver tip. Her white wings were stained with red spots, It was a far cry from her angelic form. Issei could see that blood lust in her red eyes.
"You know Angel is never sent to bring good news," Que's voice ranged out from behind. Issei looked around to see no one was near him. Que had vanished and was nowhere to be seen.
"Que, where did you go?" He asked out loud.
"Don't worry Issei I'm just watching from afar, just continue I'm always with you," Que's voice reached out to Issei. He had mixed feelings about it, but he would push further on.
The battlefield was a gory mess, Issei found it hard to walk over some of it. Not because it was an obstacle but because of how brutal some of the deceased were. Honestly, Issei was surprised how he hadn't tossed his lunch yet at the sense. He took his next step.
Issei stopped moving when he heard a loud squish under his foot. Issei knew what he stepped in but did he really want to look at it? He wanted to not look down to not fall over on whatever he stepped in.
"Que!" Issei called out. "Is it bad?"
"Sorry kid just don't look down!" Que said. Issei wanted to let out an angry yell but pulled his foot out of the bloody mess.
He walked over the carnage and body, to find the next door. Some of these creatures oddly resemble some humans but were mutated in horrible ways. He wondered what was the point of this war they needed for all this death.
"This is when she conquered her home world, she wanted to make this world better," Que said. Issei understood if she wanted to take control of this place and make it better. if your home world was off to begin with, and things needed to change. Issei understood not to apply his moral codes to different planets. He needed to be patient with all of them.
"Well, she certainly made sure no one could stop her," Issei said. Though one question did pop into his mind and having a new patent entity by your side, maybe he could ask a question.
"Hey Que, why does Sanguinius have wings? Is she an angel," Issei asked.
"It's a mutation," Que said. "Be it from the warp or possibly this planet she has them,"
"I find it quite funny, focusing on her wings when she conquered her world in this lovely memory of hers," Que said. The giant wings always had his best interest because frankly, they seemed too small for her size. He wondered how could she fly with those things. He looked closer at Sanguinius seeing that tiny hint of blood lust in the corner of her eyes. He truly wonders how Sanguinius suffered from her problem but seeing, it must have been hard for her to control it. Though maybe getting deeper in her mind might solve Sanguinius's problem then so be it.
The young teen walked past the people and could see another door ahead, this time it was silver, and the handle on it was emerald green. This one felt a bit different as it gave off an ominous feeling.
"Careful Issei This is a suppressed memory, not even Sanguinius knows of this one, You have to see something, you won't like!" Que warned.
Issei took a deep breath and pulled on the door. His vision was blinded by a flash of light.
He entered a very large chamber. It looked like there was no ceiling on the endless roof. The floor was a shining silver reflecting himself like a mirror. He could see from the distance twenty large tubes head, they had some green liquid within them. his interest peaked, and he started walking toward them. He saw something within the tubes.
The more Issei got closer to the tubes, He could tell what was inside of them. They were infants. He approached the metal tube the first one had a label on it.
"Number 1" was written upon it. Issei took a closer look at the child and felt a familiar. This wasn't Sanguinius it was someone else. He walked past more tubes seeing many numbers ending with the number twenty.
"Angron was right you guys were made," Issei said figuring out where he was. This was the birthplace of Matriarchs. All of the offspring had their eyes closed but each one had a pure aura trying to find a feeling to make their own. The room felt cold and dark but Issei didn't mind at all. He even enjoyed it Issei wanted to explore more but the room was limited by the void so his choices were limited.
He walked over to the baby Konrad in her tube who was sucking on her thumb. Issei had to hold in a laugh at the action.
"Oh, this is some good comeback martial," Issei thought. He had to catch the others in their action.
A bright light had crept up behind him. Issei quickly turned around to see an awe-inspiring site. He felt his knees wanting to give a respectful kneel. The shadows around him stir as this mighty being approaches the tubes. He stood a mighty ten feet tall, a man of this size was monstrously scary. His golden armor was beyond words. His bright flaming eyes marveled at the tubes before him. His hand gently caressed the glass. Issei, having a deep hatred for feeling lonely, did not feel it at this very moment, he felt the company of a true human being, standing in front of him.
"Who is that?" He amazingly muttered under his breath, afraid to speak any louder. The gentle shadows whisper in his ear.
"That is the father of the Matriarchs~" The shadow whispers. Issei's eyes widened at the godly man who stood in front of him. Not even the leaders of the supernatural world could match this level of presence. Issei suddenly realizes he was in a relationship with some of his daughters, he was not looking forward to the talk that was for sure. The Emperor gazed past Issei and held a gentle smile. She was wrapped around a black cloak. Though Issei could see she was a middle-aged woman of grand beauty. Her black hair and tan skin shone with cleansing water.
"Erda I'm glad you came, Look at what we have made," The Emperor said.
"Oh yes look at them, they're beautiful," Erda said with pure happiness. Issei wondered who this woman was and how she was acting like a proud parent. Wait if this was their father, then this woman would be.
"Oh my God," Issei said realizing who this was. This was their mother the way she acted made sense now. He watched how happy to see their children and it brought joy to Issei's heart, while also envying, and missing his loved ones.
"Look at our children, Erda they make great generals to reclaim the stars," The Emperor said with a strong voice like his children's fates were already made. Issei was a bit surprised at how could he do that to his children. He had no right to take that freedom away from them. Just raising them for war it was terrible. Before he could make a vocal response, Erda beat him to it.
"What, No!" Erda said shocked at what The Emperor expressed. She had a great expression of betrayal at how this man wanted to turn her creations into weapons of war.
"I thought you were making this project, to make a family so you wouldn't be alone, and you already made that monastery angel," Erda cried in a desperate plea. The Emperor only gazed at the tube, not giving Erda his full attention still enjoying his children's presence.
"Erda you know what is out there, In order to save humanity, I need more trusted people to guide the folks, and you know that other human factions have been made, I need generals who won't question my orders, but do not fret Erda, ones my crusade is over, we can be a family. not just us but all of humanity can be our family, where the ruinous powers are forgotten." The Emperor said with hope in his voice. Issei's jaw dropped at the answer it sounded ridiculous. How could he just do that to her? Erda in a moment of great haste left the room holding her tears and pain. The Emperor didn't give chase and watched the person who helped him make his key to save the galaxy. There was a moment of silence in the room as Issei gripped his fists in anger, he slowly walked towards the golden warrior. Issei gave this Emperor a harsh glance. Issei knew that saying anything to this memory would do nothing and not change anything but he had to say something.
"You know for someone who says they're human, you sure do act like a monster," Issei said. The memory of The Emperor reacted with nothing. Issei stepped away and looked over the next door, his back to the Empire of Mankind, Slowly he walked away into the void vanishing in the shadows and leaving the room.

The Emperor turned his head over his shoulder where Issei had left and took a heavy sad sigh. "I know, but at least you can make them happy,'
Present in the waking world, inside the room of the queen of iron. Perturabo sat by her table working on the communications device, she was so close to finishing it but missing a key component. A power source of great magnitude. However, she did have to put a delicate part onto the machine. She slowly and steadily put on a screw to the inside hard drive, her focus absolutely locked onto that key component.
She was so close to putting it together.
"HOW MUCH PORNOGRAPHY IS ON THIS DAMN PHONE!" The Lion yelled. In frustration trying to find any information about Issei. The first couple hours of going through his phone proved to be uneventful. The Lion held like searching her head through the wall.
"They're about five GB on there, but you'll get past it soon," Perturabo said. Quickly and finishing assembling the delicate piece. "I won't worry about it, Also try not to delete any important information. I'm interested in all that Gundam that's on there."
The Lion exhaled and quickly scrolled past the shameful material, after what The Lion saw, she wanted to wash her eyes with water. It was all like a desperate plea for someone to love him.
However, after a couple of minutes, she finally made it to the messages on the phone.
She quickly read all of them and found all the conversations with the others to be rather interesting. The tone that Rias used suggested she was somewhat of Royalty, even knowing that before she owed servants. This brought up an important factor about Issei's place in all this. He was a pawn yes but why make him a pawn, when he had such a powerful weapon? It made no sense in the Lion's technical mind.
"I don't know if this Rias' is some sort of battle intellectual or a complete novice," The Lion said out loud.
"She is somewhat good with her words, able to achieve many interesting servants to her beck call," Perturabo said. "Or just lucky,"
"I spit on luck, the way she holds herself high and mighty and asks for a commoner school is bizarre not to mention the last messages seem so cold and unresponsive, it appears she was mad at him," The Lion said, and switched her gaze at Issei. The Lion remembered something that her sister Sanguinius said. There is no nobler action than dying for your cause, but there is no greater tragedy than when the cause betrays you. So what had made Issei's master so angry in those last months? She would have to explore more into this, Though she couldn't help but think how the others were doing in their search for the lost ones.
Though they could hear someone approaching down the stairs. The Lion turned around to see Mortarion enter the room, her eyes soon latched onto the sleeping teen. Her eyes were reading him like a book. The two found her silent presence to be tediously distracting.
"What are you doing here, Mortarion?" The Lion asked. Perturabo didn't care at all, just going back to her work.
"I hear you researching him, I was wondering if I may join you," She asked. The Lion didn't see why not and gave a polite nod.
"Of course," The Lion said.
"Is it alright If we start over, from the beginning," Mortarion asked. The Lion rarely lost her cool but she had to go through Issei's history again, she was going to punch a hole in the wall.
"Start without me," The Lion said, walking out of the room. Mortarion had a confused expression at The Lion's reaction.
"What irks her?" Mortarion asked.
"You'll see," Perturabo answers with a mischievous smile. Then it quickly changed into a strict face. "Also while you're on there don't delete any of the Gundam stuff, it's important,"
"What's Gundam?" Mortarion asked.
"One of the many subjects I have to talk about with Issei when he wakes up," Perturabo said with a tad bit of excitement.
The matriarch who went on a quest for the lost ones, soon found themselves at a familiar sight. It was the same grand and large tree that reached the sky. Lorgar had given a name to this place calling it the world tip. After going on top of it herself trying to find Angrin, she realized there wasn't a tree like this for miles. Perhaps it was the exception for the last of a species but Lorgar knew that she never made it to the top.
trudging along the rocky and icy path they all had a stern expression. Magnus of course led the way, all of them were counting on her, that she would find the healer. Magnus hoped to save Issei for his sake and even make a further bond between her siblings.
Konrad felt odd today, she didn't know why, and she was happy, there was this boiling feeling inside of her. She was happy with Issei and the future to look forward to but some part of her said it was frace, which was strange Konrad cast away those harmful feelings long ago. However, an important question popped into her mind, Who Is Konrad's Curse without Fear? she wasn't afraid anymore.
"Konrad, are you alright, you looked bothered," Angron asked. Konrad snapped her attention toward her sister and yet gave a soft smirk.
"Reading my emotions again," Konrad said.
"I can't help it if you're an open book," Angron said, though her expression soon turned into tenderness. "I'm sure will find help for Issei,"
"It's not that, I'm just thinking that's all," Konrad said. She wouldn't want any personal problems to interfere with this mission. She pressed on further passing the others and following behind Magnus. Angron could feel the inner turmoil in Konrad. Though she didn't notice one strange detail using her empathic powers, there was a great amount of happiness in her but also inner darkness. Angron narrowed her eyes at that fear and anger it felt like it was trying to take over.
Soon they were met with the thick fog of the clouds. Fulgrim would've complained about the humidity, that it would need with hair if she had the long wavy hair from before. Oh, how she missed it. She wished the great Issei didn't cut it.
Magnus passed through the fog and her single eye widened at the site of the world tree. Never had she seen such a sight, even the seas of clouds were amazing. Seeing the giant forests that grew on this botanical was amazing.
"Amazing!" Fulgrim said out loud. Konrad and Angron, Lorgar both reminisce on the battle of the curse. They all thought the same thing.
"I'm glad that thing is dead!" They all thought in anger. The pain of fighting that monster, Lorgar knew the truth of gods and religion and how it changed her world. Konrad stopped when she could see a decaying skull on the wooden ground. That was the cursed Skull.
"This place certainly brings uncomfortable memories," Lorgar said out loud, the other two silently agreed. They all looked to the top and could see the tree going more into the atmosphere.
Magnus stopped in her tracks and pointed to the top of the tree. All of their eyes locked onto the top.
"That's where Malayalam is on top of the tree," Magnus said. Konrad stepped past Magnus, and the night hunter's claws popped out. Konrad bared her teeth.
"Let's attain her and be done," Konrad said. Magnus swiftly put her hand on Konrad's shoulder.
"Wait! We mustn't do anything reckless, she may not be on the best terms with us," Magnus said with intentions of not starting another battle between sisterhood.
"I can be very persuasive," Konrad growled.
"No Konrad please we have to wait, I know you want to help Issei, but we must tread carefully, I'm sure Magnus has a compelling plan," Fulgrim said. Trying to lessen Konrad's rashness.
Konrad stood down but felt a bit of anger inside her. She wanted to pull Malayalam from this tree and get her love back. By any means necessary. Magnus could see the turmoil and wouldn't have it.
"Lorgar and I will convince Malayalam, we have the best terms," She said. Lorgar nodded at the plan, she wanted to see her sister again and tell her how sorry she was for not helping her. It was Malayalam who taught her the ways of war and peace. Something that sounded so impossible to her back, then she ridiculed Malayalam, but they still held a powerful bond and wanted to know the truth.
"I will go," Lorgar said, ready for the task at hand. Magnus nodded and gazed at the rest.
"You three will stay here and keep watch," Magnus said thinking it was an excellent strategy, she probably waited for the commendations on her plan to arrive. Unfortunately, she was met with a different sound by all three of them.
"Tch, I'm not your guard dog," They all said. Magnus felt an awakened drop of sweet paper on her brow. Angron sat down and threw her ax down to the ground.
"Fine but make sure to bring her back or I'll bring her back over my shoulder," Angron said in an exhausted tone of voice. Magnus could see they were waiting for them to depart to the top.
"Well come now Lorgar we must leave," Magnus said leading the way. Lorgar followed along and held her mace close.
"Hey shorter!" Angrin called out making Magnus stop and blush in anger at the nickname. Konrad and Fulgrim held in their laughs, now knowing what Magnus's true height was.
"What?" Magnus asked. Trying to keep a calm composure, she would not act out like a toddler she was better than that.
"Don't choke okay," Angron said. Her voice was indicating hope and not anger. Magnus gave a slow nod at her. The other two soon left, embarking into the deep dark woods.
"Good luck," Konrad said. In a hushed whisper. Konrad felt a sense of unease settle within herself.
Unknown to them in a high part of the tree, one watched from below in a dark cloak. She hid carefully and still did not draw attention to herself even though she was so far away. A Matriarch could pick up on anything from greater distances.
"This shall be interesting," She whispers. Her spear was held tightly, she was waiting for her time to strike. Her piercing blue eyes could be seen from the dark cloak that obscured her face in the shade.
"I won't go back to that monster," She said with absolute malice in her voice. "Tonight it ends now!"
The sun was slowly falling into the night while a great battle was about to begin. Though the weather was clear and no black cloud in site the rumbling of a Matriarch had begun. She had a boiling hatred for all her sisters, the ones who abandoned her and the people of her home world. Icarion gripped her spear Thunder child hard and gave her enemies a gaze blinded by vengeance.
It's a short Chapter today but I'm going, to be working extra hard on the next one, I can't promise it will be on time though which is unfortunate. I read a lot of the reviews and thank you for them again Anything helps, There is going to be a new chapter for the other stuff. If you guys like though check it out. I have been pushing some writer's block for a bit, but each time I give it the old punch in the face. Anyway, Icarion is such a good fanmade Primarch, I mean for real Gameswork Shop just makes this guy canon. Also, one of my favorite styles, check out the people who made this amazing idea and give them a thumbs up.
Also, The matriarchs are possibly going to find out why Rias was mad at Issei for, aka the name thing. How do you think they would react to that?
Take care be safe and follow, favorite, and review!
