Charlie wearily pulled her eyes open to the sound of her phone aggressively buzzing atop the night-stand. She let out a groan, wearily snatching the device and looking to see the caller on her screen. Apparently, she had just missed them. Her screen displayed the time: 10pm. Holy fucking shit. She'd never slept that long in her life. Apparently, she had well and fully slept the day away.
She glanced beside her to catch her two angels, thoroughly curled up in each other, both facing one another. Emily had herself deeply wedged into Vaggie's neck, and lurched ever so slightly with the smaller woman's breathing. For such a tall girl, she had a nack for making herself smaller to fit in like a little puzzle piece with her shorter partner. She had to withold an audible coo as she saw Vaggie lightly nuzzle into Emily's hair as she slept, letting out a little happy sigh. Misty eyed at the sweetness of the scene, she pressed a hand to her chest before flicking her phone on to check her missed call notification.
'Missed call: Asmodeus, 10 pm.'
'New voicemail.'
As quietly as she could, Charlie slipped out of bed, and left just outside the bedroom so she could listen to the likely quite vital voicemail.
She clicked the notification on her phone, pressing the device to her ear to listen.
"Hey, baby! It's Ozzy! Wanted to let you know, I've just scheduled a set of appointments with Mammon, Leviathan, and Belphegor to send forward your message on your behalf. So, you three girls take care of yourselves and rest up. Maybeeee... fool around a little." The demon let out a teasing cackle. "Seriously though. Rest all that junk of, sweethearts. Also, so you're aware of the drop off, Emily's special little gift should be arrivin' at your doorstep sometime in the later afternoon tomorrow. Don't tell the girl though! Tell me how she reacts." Another chuckle. "Hope she... headed that advice I gave her the other day, btw," he said with a laugh. "Take care princess, and goodnight.
'Beep'
Charlie chuckled, brimming with excitement about the prospect of Emily receiving her life bringing gift and the sweetness of Ozzy taking the helm in completing their efforts. With a smile on her face and a fluttering heart, Charlie opened up her bedroom door grinning. As soon as she did so though... She spotted Vaggie, perched on the edge of the bed and trembling. A seraph hugging her from behind.
Charlie darted over to the bed, haphazardly tossing her phone onto the matress and sliding down to Vaggie's feet, kneeling before her, and grasping her hands, firm but tenderly.
"Vaggie?! Oh my gosh, Vaggie, what's wrong? Did you have a nightmare?" Charlie looked over Vaggie's shoulder. "Emily?"
The seraph looked over the silver-haired angel's shoulder and gave a fragile nod.
"Shit..." Charlie squeezed the soft hands she was holding. "Vaggie, my love, we're here okay? The people who care for you. You're safe. We'll be right here until you feel better, alright?" She brought up one of the hands and placed a tender kiss to it. "I've got you, and I love you... nothing's gonna hurt you while we're here... And nothing's hurt us... okay?" The question wasn't necessarily meant to be answered, but the wide eyed angel gave a stiff nod. "Good girl..." Charlie spoke gently.
Vaggie took in a swallow like it was an action she'd forgotten to do for a while. "The bathroom..." she said simply. The gears clicked for merely a second before Charlie's eyes filled with recognition.
"Oh, no... of course... Vaggie, we-"
"She died..." The angel choked out, shuddering, her expression heavy with horrror.
"Oh... no... Vaggie..." Charlie placed a hand to her mouth to cover her expression, her eyes welling up. "Oh, Vaggie, I'm so sorry..."
"I'm right here, Vaggie..." Emily spoke softly. "I'm right here... I came home, and I'm safe, and I'm right here..." She wasn't sure what could be said... As she held onto the girl, she could feel her leaf-like shakes as she trembled rapidly against her body. "Vaggie, I'm here, and with you... that wasn't real." The shivering woman slowly slipped a hand from Charlie's, and it traveled up until meeting one of the seraph's about her waist. Emily moved her hand so it could wrap around Vaggie's. The one-eyed woman began to breathe deeply to Charlie's example as the princess tried to lead her to a calmer state. She kept her hands firmly in their places within both her partner's.
"I'm so sorry you had to see that, Vaggie..."
The angel shook her head. "N- no... no, don't be sorry... it... it just is... it's okay..."
"It isn't, sweetie," Emily whispered into her ear softly. "But it doesn't have to be. It's okay that it isn't." Emily chuckled humorlessly. "I think all three of us have collected our fair share of trauma the past few days and more..."
Vaggie snorted, at least an inch closer to her normal self. "No shit..."
"It's been a fun month or so," Charlie chuckled humorlessly. She let out a sigh and looked down in thought before returning her eye contact to the angel with a gentle smile. "You two wanna take a walk? N- not outside, just out in the hotel a bit to try and work off some of this stress..."
Vaggie sighed, smiling dryly. "That'd be nice... not like I'm gonna be getting any more sleep tonight..."
"Well, at least you got an easy ten hours or so," Charlie chuckled.
Vaggie's smile became pained. "Y- yeah, no... that, uh..." She frowned as she sighed. "That wasn't... the first dream I've had, it's- it's been a really rough night..."
"Vaggie..." Emily cooed, "Why didn't you say anything?"
"I- I didn't want to wake you... or worry you... I've... already made things so much harder, I-"
"A-ah," Charlie cut. "No pitty parties, babygirl! You've done nothing but been helpful to me the past 3 years, and to the both of us the past... gosh... it's really barely been a week, hasn't it?" Charlie gave a chuckle that slowly shifted into more of a look of horror. "Jesus Christ so much shit has happened..." She cleared her throat before shaking her head with recomposeure, standing up dramatically and yanking Vaggie up with her. The angel winced at the sensation in her quite recovered but still tender thigh. "Anyways, my point is, I love you. We both care very deeply for you, so, stop being so hurtful to yourself... I'll say it again and again until you believe me. You're amazing. Your support is amazing. I couldn't have made it this far without you, and more than that... you just make me so happy. That's all I've ever wanted or needed of you... yet you always give more..."
Emily, her object of affection yanked out her grasp, stood and returned to wrap her arms around the shorter angel, plopping her head atop the shorter women's own. "Yeah, Vaggie... You make both of us so happy... and you've been nothing but good to me since the day we met. So, hush your mouth, sweetpea."
Vaggie snickered. "Finnneee..." the woman grumbled exaggeratedly. "I suppose if I must, I'll stop the self-loathing train for a little bit."
"And, we'll rip up your tickets if you ever think about getting back on!" Emily beamed.
"You two are sickeningly adorable," Vaggie chuckled.
"Oh, hush," Charlie giggled. "You love it."
Vaggie rolled her eyes. "Mmm... fine. Maybe just a little."
"That's a good girl," Emily cooed. Vaggie blushed, the golden hue seeming to shine out ever so slightly in the darkness of the room.
"Oh... sh- shut up..." She sputtered.
"Wanna go put on a coat and... pants, too... prolly." Charlie cleared her throat as her face reddened just a bit.
"Ooooh. Dang, yeah, you are indeed pants-less," Emily deadpanned. A devious smirk then played its way across her face. "Mmmm, lord, you're thighs are so thick..."
"OKAY!" Vaggie yipped. "I'm gonna go and put those on so Emily stops drooling on me!" The girl quickly made her way over to the dresser, her face coated in golden.
Emily let out a little, 'psssht.' "Like that's gonna stop me..."
"God, you two are such degenerates," Vaggie scolded, her smirk betraying any actual sternness in her face as she pulled out a pair of, perhaps intentionally, tight fitting jeans out a drawer.
Charlie gave an airy laugh. "Oh, like your any better!"
Vaggie turned back around with her chosen article and looked to the princess flatly. "Touché."
After the three got, 'dressed,' only in the loosest sense of the word: just enough so to secure their own dignity, they went on a walk -not a one of them was in the capacity to deal with going outside in the dead middle of the night- around the hotel's halls. Vaggie was still a bit jumpy, holding herself closely to either of the other women as much as she possibly could. Both of the other girls couldn't help feeling a little on edge as well, but they were doing just a tad better than her at the moment. Suddenly, as Charlie made a little, 'Oh!' of recollection, the other two girls jumped ever so slightly. She chuckled.
"Sorry! Just, I remembered, Ozzy called me earlier, that's why I wasn't in the room."
"I was wondering," Emily replied. Vaggie remained silent, not quite wanting to admit to the fact she was too distraught to notice. The seraph continued. "What was he calling about?"
"Oh, yeah! He said that he'd taken the liberty to schedule meetings with the other sins on our behalf so we could finally take a little bit of a break and rest up. Plus, we still have Alastor's broadcast thingy to do so we can get the word out to pride..." Charlie grumbled in recollection. "God it took so long to get my dad to agree to join us on that."
Vaggie snickered. "I'd expect nothing less."
"Does your dad not like Alastor? He doesn't seem that bad..."
"He is," Vaggie deadpanned.
"Noooooo," Charlie tuned, giving her a look with ever so slight admonishment. "He isn't. At least- Well, we don't really know what his deal is... He's sketchy as fuck and... seems to think everything we're trying to do is a joke. At least... seemed? I dunno. He's been a bit odd ever since you mentioned... ever since you mentioned Sir pentious got into Heaven..."
Emily's positivity faltered. "O- oh, yes... I see..."
"I feel my ears burninggggg!" A staticy voice beamed behind the three women. Vaggie barked a Spanish curse as she bared the other two women behind herself protectively at the sight of Alastor. The gesture definitely had a good heavy hand of reasons, but Emily couldn't help humoring the fact she -as a seraphim- could easily defend the both of them against almost if not any threat creation had to offer.
"Now, I was wondering where you three went off to! You've been absent all day."
"S- sorry, Alastor, we've been in the bedroom." She wasn't unprivy to his smile tightening. "Sleeping."
Vaggie grumbled to herself. "No. Dile que estábamos jodiendo. Tal vez eso haga que se vaya más rápido..."
"Understandable considering how dreadful the pastttt... well, a while have been for you all." The man gave a chuckle.
"What do you want, asshat?" Vaggie hissed.
The demon gave a laugh. "Ohhhh, why do I always have to want something? Maybe I just ran into you and wanted to have a spot of small talk. Nowww, would that be so wrong?'
"No, if that was even mildly fucking believable," The silver-haired angel growled.
"Vaggie," Charlie urged. The woman settled down, only now easing the protective stance she had held. Charlie smiled. "Well, it's nice to see you Alastor."
"Nice to see you two ladies as well! The hotel's dry without your little extra sparkle!" Alastor laughed. Vaggie glared, not missing the dig.
"Well, we missed being here!" Charlie beamed, not quite having the energy to deal with Alastor's typical belittling of her love. Alastor smiled in kind. Well, as always, but the smile seemed something... genuine? No, probably not that... what was it then?
"Well, I'm afraid I have some business to attend to. But, it was a pleasure to speak to you gals!" Vaggie growled, and the demon hummed as he turned to walk away from them down the hallways to the stairwell.
Another growl sounded out as well, and a wide-eyed Charlie looked back at Emily. Vaggie kept tracing the radio demon with her eyes."Was that you, Emmy?" The princess chuckled with bemusement.
"N- no..." The angel blushed. "M- maybe... I'm really hungry..."
"Understandable," Vaggie chuckled. Then she cleared her throat as her face dusted lightly with yellow. It wasn't like her coming suggestion was odd or something she hadn't done before. For Charlie. But... with the new company in her presence... perhaps she was just a tad eager to impress. "I... I could make us something..."
Emily's eyes widened. "Vaggie, you can cook!?" The angel looked like she had just gazed upon the face of God. "Holy shoot, you're the most amazing woman I've ever met!" The seraphim gleamed, pouncing the one-eyed woman with a hug as she nuzzled giddily into her shoulder.
"Hey!" Charlie pouted. "What am I then!?"
Emily blushed before beaming again. "The other most amazing woman I've ever met, obviously!" Charlie crossed her arms.
"There we go."
Vaggie rolled her eye before looking at the white-haired girl still wrapped about her neck. "You ever try Salvadoran food, sweetie?"
"Nooooo!" Emily cooed in awe. "What's it like!?"
Vaggie gave a gentle smile. "I think you'll enjoy it, hun. I'll make us some pupusas." It was then she felt a second pair of arms clumsily wrap around her, as Charlie pressed herself into her cheek.
"You're making papusas!?"
The silver-haired girl snickered. "Yes, baby."
"I- I want pupusas!"
"That was the intention, love. We all really need to eat something. It's been almost a day since we've had anything..."
At that final word, Emily's stomach sounded out as if in agreement.
"My stomach agrees with you."
Vaggie snickered. "Well then, tell her her owner needs to let go of me so I can get to the kitchen."
Emily immediately slid away, holding her hands in front of her politely with puppy-dog eyes.
Vaggie looked to the princess still pressed into her cheek.
"You too, Charlie."
"Mmmmm," the princess moaned, "but you're so softtt and warmmm..."
"Yes, but my Charlie is already skinny enough as it is, and I want her to eat something before she blows away on the wind. Both of you." Charlie pouted and slid off.
"Finnnnnneee-uh..."
"Atta girl," Vaggie purred. "Come on, hermosas, let's go to the kitchen."
"Okay, sweetie, now, get... let's do about one and a half-ish tablespoons of cheese, and put that in the center there. Then get some of the jalapeños, the meat, and the beans and put those on there too," Vaggie instructed softly as she stood next to her seraph at the counter. Emily scrunched up her face thoughtfully.
"... How much?" She asked, glancing to Vaggie. The silver-haired girl gave a nervous grin.
"I'd say eyeball it, but... I feel like you'll try and fit ss much in there as you possibly can, so, lemme just show you," she chuckled. She took ahold of the hand in which Emily was holding her tablespoon, the other of which was occupied traying the disc of flattened masa. Vaggie guided the seraphim's gracile hand along to each respective bowel, taking the correct respective measurements from each, before guiding her hand back to gently set the spoonfuls in the center of the future pupusa. Emily watched what she did intently, her hand limp and submissive as she let the woman guide her, making a sure as she could she'd be able to memorize the amounts of each ingredient. Ounce Vaggie was done, she gently let go of Emily's hand. "Okay! Now, hun, fold all the edges and gather them in the center."
Emily proceeded as she was told, glancing to the woman across from her for approval as she did. "Done!" She beamed.
"'Kay, now, sweetheart, press it down a bit so you've got a thick disc. Be gentle," she urged. "I don't know how, but Charlie always manages to turn hers into paste." She gave the princess, who was leaning on the other line of counters just behind them that traced the wall, sipping at a cup of tea, a smug smirk. "Of course, she's also burnt water before."
Emily snickered.
"Ugh!" Charlie groaned. "Vaggie, that was one time!"
"Twice actually," the angel snirked. Emily quirked a brow.
"W- wait, you actually-" Emily widened her eyes in disbelief, shaking her head slowly as she silently went back to finish the task at hand. She -slowly and gently so- pressed down the dough she had in hand until it was to the thickness she believed Vaggie had described. She let out a little squeak as she noticed an imperfection. "Ah! Cats, there's a crack in it..."
Vaggie chuckled, gently taking the hand in which Emily was holding the wounded pupusa. "Sweetheart, there's no need to panic, that just happens." The angel gently smoothed the crack with her thumb until it was covered. "There's no gluten in masa, so, they tend to crack at least a little. We just wanna worry about smoothing the big ones."
Emily gave a resolute nod. "Yes, ma'am!" Vaggie snickered again. Both girls were some of the few people who could get that response from her genuinely.
"M'kay, baby, you did it! Now, just put it over there on the big plate there next to the one I made. Make sure they don't touch." Emily nodded, excitedly placing her creation along side her girlfriends. She turned around to look at Charlie, giddily bouncing. "Charlie! I made food!" The princess smiled, putting down her tea behind her to clap.
"I know! I'm so proud of you!" The two girls met in the center of the room, grasping eachother's hands and bouncing as they giggled. Vaggie rolled her eye, as she smiled.
"You two are fucking adorable."
The both of them beamed at her. "We know!" Charlie squead.
"Emily, sweetheart, do you want me to teach you the frying part?"
Emily gave a vigorous nod. "Yes please!"
"Then stop hugging Charlie and come here," she chuckled.
"Awe, rats..." Emily pouted, slipping away and meeting Vaggie at the stove.
The woman proceeded to tutorial her on the working of the stove and the basics of different pan lubricants, and the seraphim watch on intently with every word. Finally, Vaggie oiled up the pan and put it on to preheat. Ounce Vaggie deemed it heated, she gave the way to Emily, who took the handle of the pan in her place, looking to the angel for her next directions.
Emily awed herself at the simple accomplishment she had gone on to do, only burning herself once in the process. All three of them ate more than they usually did. For Emily though, that left her begging for seconds where there were none, about 8 papusas in (Vaggie had already planned for the little seraph's gluttony, making a multitude of extras of the small fried food, yet it still turned to not be enough). So, as the girl begged, and Vaggie was, naturally, not going to allow her to go hungry, the angel also aquired boxed mac n' cheese to her cooking repertoire. She ate three of them.
Emily idly played with her spoon, tracing about the inside of her bowl as she sat at the far-end dining table with Charlie and Vaggie.
"... Now what do we do?"
"... Go back to bed I guess?" Vaggie shrugged.
"I'm not really tired..." Charlie mumbled, tapping a finger on the counter.
Vaggie snorted. "Me niether..."
"It's almost like we've been sleeping the past 10 hours," Emily giggled.
Charlie laughed as a mild look of dread crossed her face. "Gosh, our sleep schedules are fucked, huh..." Vaggie snorted a laugh. Emily smiled and gave a polite chuckle, unaware anything relating to circadian rythm. All she knew was more sleep equals less tired.
Suddenly, Vaggie's face goldened. She cleared her throat. "S- so... it's late in the evening, half the hotel is already asleep, and we're far too awake to go to bed... Soooo... I- I mean... I know what we've said b- before, but, uh... we could..."
"Have ice cream and watch musicals until we pass out!?" Charlie beamed eagerly. "That's an amazing idea!" She singsonged.
Emily gave Vaggie a devious side-eye, and the angel averted her glaze. Emily cleared her throat loudly. Charlie quirked her lip and glanced to the seraph.
"Ch- Charlie, sweetie, I'm not quite sure that's what Vaggie had in mind..." She snickered.
"Oh? Are you not in the mood for musicals tonight? W- we can watch something else... as long as it's not a horror movie. I know you love those, Vaggie, but I don't think I can handle that tonight." Charlie glanced about the two girls as Emily had a palm pressed to her mouth, trying to withhold barking out in laughter lest she risk awakening the entire hotel. Vaggie was a deep gold and holding her own breath desperately in embarassment and mild frustration at the blondes -at the very least charming- density.
"Why are you- Oh..." Charlie's eyes widened to the size of dinner plates as her face dyed red. "OH!"
"E- Emmy... would... I mean... you- we don't- I just- if she-"
"Yes," Emily said simply, her own face turning its shade of shyness. "I... I would... I know our... discussion... in the hotel the other day. But... Even though the world's on the verge of caving in, a- and I'm terrified of so many things... We have time. And we have peace, even if it's just for a night... Besides..." she glanced to both of her girls, faces with loving smiles and gentle looks. "...I couldn't possibly imagine two better, kinder, or more gorgeous women I could possibly have my first time with... S- so, yes!" She grinned at Charlie, the expression carrying a heavy hand of apprehension, yet earnest and excited. "I would love to spend the evening together."
Charlie's eyes misted. "Awe... Emmy, that was so sweet..." She chuckled, face still scarlet. "You're quite the romantic, you know."
"Eheh..." Emily blushed shyly. "That does surprise me, considering the lack of experience, b- but... I suppose I did a lot of reading..."
Charlie giggled. Then she gave the little angel a devious grin as she leaned her elbows on the table and lidded her yes. "Fuck, I wanna tear those tiny litte shorts off of you..." Emily, her wings poofing out behind her.
"O- Oh my..."
Charlie stood up, trotting to Vaggie's seat just next to her, and leading the angel up by the hands. "Come on, Vaggie," she purred. She turned to look at Emily hungrily, and Vaggie followed the line of her gaze, a similar look of thirst in her eyes and her smile. The seraph shrank into herself, smiling dumbly up at her. "Why don't we give our sweet little angel a bit of a... bit of a, 'hands-on,' lesson?"
Charlie strided over to Emily's seat and -her other arm leading an eager Vaggie behind her- she pulled Emily up out of her chair and into her chest. The seraph meeped as her and Charlie's chests pressed together, as the princess pulled her further into herself, moving her hand down to the small of Emily's back. And, then a little lower, where she let her fingers firmly press into the bit of softness on Emily's ass as they dragged along the fabric of her shorts and back up to her back. Emily squeezed her eyes and mouth shut to keep inside a feathery moan, burrowing her face into Charlie's shoulder as her wings twitched, and she grabbed onto the fabric of Charlie's shirt tightly like it would help her from groaning in pleasure at the simple touch.
"Mm!" She squeaked.
"That okay, sweetheart?" Charlie cooed. Emily stifly nodded, her body trembling with want. "Good girl." The warmth betwen her thighs was hotter than it had been ever before. The want and hunger for the other two women with her.
Tonight would most certainly be a long night indeed.
