Olly walked to the entrance. Behind the glass was a Toad, who looked tired and bored. A yellow orb with arms and legs, with his hands and feet dressed in oversized gloves and boots, held out a card to the Toad. The Toad scanned it.

"Welcome, Veteran. You can enter." He passed the card back.

The gates opened, and the person in front of them walked through. Olly went up to the window, Dimentio and Fawful following.

"Hello! We're here for the championship!"

"Olly? You got invited?"

He nodded. "And I have proof of it too!"

He, Dimentio, and Fawful all handed the letters over. The Toad examined them thoughtfully. He put them in a drawer.

"Alright, you can go through. If you want to come back though, you're going to have to fill out some info so you can get a card like the rest of the fighters."

They entered, and they all gazed at the area in awe. The main Lobby towered nearby, and a billboard hung over it displaying an advertisement for a yoga session with somebody named Wii Fit Trainer.

Fawful sniffed the air. "Food! They have the food!"

"Not now, Fawful. We need to officially register for the competition first! Then we can look around."

Olly entered the lobby, and jolted. People were inside, training on the bumpers and other objects. Nobody payed any attention to them.

"Oh! Bowser!"

Olly ran over to him, and he held up his finger to signify that he needed a minute. He was breathing fire on a metal pole. He stopped when the fire turned into puffs of smoke.

"Yes! Three seconds longer than last time!" He took a drink from a water bottle. "Hey, you three! Come here to watch the fights?" He took another sip.

"Nope! We were invited!"

Bowser spat out his water onto Olly's face. "What?! You got invited?"

A man on the punching bags stopped and looked at them.

"Great job! Only the best come here, so you better enjoy yourselves!"

"Hm. I would have expected O' Chunks to be here rather than me," Dimentio admitted. "His entire life is based around fighting."

A tall man with blond hair, carrying a giant sword, walked past. "Good luck with that. Sephiroth is going to give me my title back."

"Well hello to you too," Dimentio sassed back.

"That is a big sword," Olly said, a little intimidated.

Fawful held up a bowl of noodles. "Fawful went to the food store."

"I said we should look around afterwards!"

"Fawful is hungry!"

"You want to sign up?" The man who was doing the punching bags came over, a towel draped around his neck.

Olly nodded. "Yes please."

"I'm Little Mac. I can show you where you sign up."

"Thank you! I'm Olly, and the one in red is Fawful, and the jester is Dimentio."

Fawful loudly slurped his noodles.

Dimentio bowed. "A pleasure."

Little Mac was pretty chatty. He asked them questions such as what they did for fun and such. He introduced them to the Toad at the desk, then left rather quickly.

Olly waved to the Toad. "Hello! We're here to sign up."

"Full name and titles?"

"King Olly Kami Shokunin."

The Toad scribbled it down. "Alright. Where are you from?"

"The Origami Kingdom."

"So...where is that? Is there a defining feature about this place that we can define you from?"

"The Mushroom Kingdom is nearby."

"Okay, so you'll be grouped with Bowser, Mario, Luigi, Daisy, Peach, Rosalina, Junior and the Koopalings, and the Piranha Plant."

"There are so many from the Mushroom Kingdom here," Dimentio said.

Fawful smiled. "The Mushroom Kingdom is of the popular!"

"And I'm guessing your friends are from the Mushroom Kingdom as well?" The Toad said, scribbling more down on the paper. "Favorite color?"

"Purple, obviously!" Olly smiled.

A person with spiky brown hair walked over. He wore a black jumpsuit with red and yellow details, with a small black jacket over it all.

"Hey! You must be new!"

Olly waved. "H-hello..."

The Toad held up a camera. "I need to take a picture of you for your card."

"Huh? Me? Or are you talking to-"

"I'm talking to you, King Olly."

"Oh! Okay."

He tucked his hands behind his back and waited. The Toad shot him a look.

"Am I not doing this right?"

"Do you want that to be your picture? You can pose if you want. Please don't do that, I tried to talk Steve into posing but he doesn't talk and he's just overall creepy."

"Um...okay." Olly pulled out his sword and held it out to his side. "Like this?"

"Great! Now look serious."

Olly fixed his collar, and the Toad snapped the picture. He went away for a minute, then came back holding a card. He handed it to Olly.

"Wow! It's purple!"

"Have fun!" The Toad waved him off.

While the Toad worked on Fawful, the brown haired kid held out his hand. "I'm Sora! I'm still pretty new here, so I'm trying to get to know everybody. You must be new, cause I haven't seen you around before."

Olly shook his hand. "I'm Olly! And yes, I am new. Your name means sky, right?"

Sora nodded. "And your name is Ori Kami Shokunin? Doesn't that just translate to 'Origami Craftsman?'"

"My father is creative in the origami aspect, just not the naming part. He's known as the Origami Craftsman, and his last name is Shokunin so it may just be a family curse of being terrible at naming things."

Fawful came over, holding his card. "Fawful got the card of carding!"

"Your name must be Fawful," Sora said with a smile. "I'm Sora!"

"And we have one more," Olly said. "But he's getting his card right now."

They looked at Dimentio, who posed for the camera. The Toad walked off, then came back with Dimentio's card. He happily floated to them. He noticed Sora.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Sora! I already met Olly and Fawful."

"Expected. They both are incredibly friendly. I, however, am a lot tougher to get past than them. Even Olly had a difficult time getting through to me."

Sora blinked at him. "You seem...grumpy."

"Well, either way, my name is Dimentio."

"Dimen...tee-o? Did I say that right?"

He nodded once, then continued going. "Olly, if you noticed, they gave us a room number on the back of the cards. I am going to go find mine. Caio."

"Don't worry," Olly said dismissively, "he's nice!"
