Jessica's Point of View

I wander around the ruins of Radiant Gardens. It felt like a dream, distant and fading. I could picture where things used to be, but a lot of rubble was in their place. The Heartless were all over. They disappeared as I sliced through them with my keyblade one by one. I made my way back to the castle. I felt it would be the best place to look for Xehanort. I found a man walking through a hall. He looked similar to the Xehanort found in Radiant Gardens, but at the same time, there were noticeable differences. He looked as though Terra had become older and had silver hair and orange eyes. I summoned my keyblade.

"I had hoped I would find you here," The man commented.

"Oh yeah? Why is that?" I remarked, not breaking from my fighting stance.

"I have something you want," The man replied.

"Oh yeah? What's that?" I snapped.

"A family," The man answered.

I knew Yen Sid didn't want me fighting, but I couldn't hold myself back. I rushed at him to begin fighting. "My family is dead!" I screamed as I tried to slice through him. Beams of red light came from the man's hands as he defended himself. He didn't even try to fight me, which irked me even more. Finally, he knocked me back. "Tell me, are you Xehanort?"

"Perhaps in a way. My name is Xemnas. I am a Nobody and the leader of Organization XIII. We Nobodys have no hearts and are searching for a way to regain what was lost." Xemnas stretched out his hand toward me. "Join us and come home, Jessica."

"You're psychotic!" I growled. I went to slash at him again, but he yanked my keyblade out of my hand.

"No more. Should you wish to leave or come with me, I will allow it, but I will not fight you. It is time for you to make your decision," Xemnas stated.

"And why would I go with you?" I huffed.

He handed me my keyblade back. "I'll make it worth your while."

My curiosity got the better of me. Whatever happened to me didn't matter. I didn't have anyone to go back to. Nothing to lose. If I couldn't get information to Master Yen Sid, he still had Mickey to do his odd jobs. I wouldn't be missed. Whatever Xemnas thought was worth my while had to be better than going back to the Tower and spending the rest of my life under Master Yen Sid's care. "It better be."

Xemnas extended his hand, and an oval-shaped wall of darkness appeared. "This way."

"If you think I'm going in that, you can think again. I'm not stupid," I scoffed.

"You will remain unharmed. It is merely a passage to the world where I reside," Xemnas assured me.

I still didn't have anything to lose. I placed a hand inside. It seemed fine. Cool to the touch but not harmful. "Okay," I agreed. Xemnas placed his hand on my back, and I flinched. He gently guided me through. I didn't know what I had gotten myself into, but if it brought me closer to the truth about who Xemnas was and what happened to my friends and family, I was ready.
