Jessica's Point of View
Axel and I went out to fight Heartless in Twilight Town for a simple heart collection mission. Once we were finished, Axel sat down on the steps, exhausted from the mission. I ran as fast as I could away from Axel. Just as I hoped, Axel followed me. "Hey, Jess, wait up! Tell me you're not doing this again!" He called. I ran through the tunnels a few times, then made my way to the top of the Clock Tower. Once I got there, I sat on the edge. He finally caught up with me.
"Are you kidding me?!" He huffed.
"Ice cream. Go. Or I'll tell Xemnas you lost me," I ordered. It was a well-known fact in the Organization that Xemnas had become very protective of me over the years. Axel knew as well as I did that losing me is a one-way ticket to torture. The last time Xaldin lost track of me for a few moments, he made the mistake of putting it in his mission report. Ever since Xemnas "talked" to Xaldin about it, Xaldin had been more careful about keeping an eye on me during our missions.
"Fine!" Axel groaned, knowing I had won. He left and came back with two sea-salt ice cream bars. "One for you and one for me."
"Thank you," I smiled.
"Not like I have a choice or anything," Axel deadpanned.
"You know I wasn't really going to tell Xemnas or anything," I admitted.
Axel sat next to me and started eating his ice cream. "I know that." He gave me a smile before ruffling my hair. "Sometimes, I wish you would ditch the Organization and find a nice quiet life where you can be normal. You're a nice kid, and you deserve better," Axel said.
"I couldn't. Xemnas wouldn't allow it, and I would never be able to see you guys again. You're all I have left," I shuddered.
"Yeah, I guess so. So, what's the deal with you and Xemnas anyway? I know you're important because you can wield a keyblade, but isn't he a little overkill when it comes to you?" Axel asked.
"I guess a little. Xemnas and I are complicated. More than just Xemnas. Everyone in the Organization and I are complicated," I sighed.
"I guess so. You were living with them in Radiant Gardens, so I suppose they would be a little complicated, but you don't see Xemnas getting angry if someone were to hurt Zexion's feelings," Axel mused.
"Well, maybe he's just nicer to me because I'm not a Nobody," I huffed. Axel was asking too many questions.
"Okay, okay, geez," Axel sighed. "So even if you were given a chance to get out of here, you wouldn't do it?"
"No. I don't think I could," I sighed.
Samantha: I have decided not to stop for now. Thank you for your review.
