Axel's Point of View
Saix was smirking when we got back.
"I trust you had a terrible time?" He asked me.
"Yeah, no kidding. You guys suck," I groaned.
Jessica high-fived Saix and ran off to who knows where probably savoring her freedom before Xemnas would want to see her. He had been taking up a lot of her time. I felt sorry for that kid. As though a grown man spending time with a little kid wasn't creepy enough, it was Xemnas, of all people.
"I don't think she would help us, and I don't think we can get her out of here, either. She's way too attached to the Organization," I mentioned.
"I suspected. She's always showing so many emotions, and I think she sometimes forgets we can't reciprocate them. I wanted her out of the way, but if she won't leave, we can't force her," Saix commented.
"There was something she said that doesn't sound right. She said things were complicated between her and Xemnas. She wasn't all that close to Xehanort, so how could things be that complicated? Just what is Xemnas telling her when they're alone that would make her have mixed feelings about him?" I questioned.
"Perhaps you should find out. It might even serve our purpose. See what you can, but be subtle about it," Saix decided.
"Why do I always get stuck with the icky jobs?" I groaned.
"Because you're good at them," Saix remarked.
By the way, Xemnas is not doing anything wrong with Jessica. You'll see in the next chapter.
Samantha: Well, I won't even think of stopping as long as I have at least one regular reviewer. Right now, it appears you are that reviewer. I shall return with another chapter.
1/22/2023: This chapter has been edited. I changed some of this to be vaguer based on what we now know in Kingdom Hearts III.
