Jessica's Point of View
Master Yen Sid stayed for an uncomfortable amount of time, and when he left, Mommy said it was time for bed. I put on my pajamas before Mommy came in to tuck me in. "Mommy, can I tell you something?" I asked.
"Of course. You can tell me anything," Mommy assured me. I wanted to tell her about everything, but I was worried that doing that would put her in danger. My hesitation didn't go unnoticed.
"Jessica, is something the matter?"
"It's just that... I'm scared that you'll be in danger if I tell you."
"Whatever it is, I'll be fine. You don't need to worry."
"Can you keep a secret?"
"Of course I can. Especially when it's something important."
"Well, can you keep one from Master Yen Sid?" I asked.
Mommy hesitated. "Yes. I can if that's what needs to be done. What's on your mind, Jessica? Please tell me."
"Master Yen Sid has been having me watch over the Organization for him. That group that Daddy's part of. I report back to him from time to time about what they're up to. See, we don't trust the person who's in charge of it. But now, Master Yen Sid thinks I'm getting too attached to the Organization, so he wants me to live with him. The thing is, he's right. I am too attached. I can't leave now. I need them."
"Is he going to come for you?" Mommy inquired.
"Not until I'll be back at home. I told him I was leaving in two weeks," I replied.
"Good girl. Don't you worry about him; I'll handle it. I am not letting you get separated from your father again," Mommy assured me.
"You would do that? Thank you, Mommy," I smiled.
"Of course. Go to bed now. I'll see you in the morning," Mommy said. I hugged Mommy, and she tucked me in before turning my light off.
Yay! Another chapter.
