Jessica's Point of View
That afternoon when myself and the girls were getting ready for the underground club, I spotted Zexion through the window. "Hey, girls, I'll be back, okay? There's something I need to take care of," I said.
"Okay. Just hurry back. I want to soak up every minute of music that I can," Ariel replied.
I swam through my window and approached Zexion. "What are you doing here? It's dangerous for you to be here. What if Xemnas catches you?" Despite scolding Zexion, I smiled.
"When you were sent away and not allowed to come back, I feared I may never be able to tell you," Zexion sighed.
"Tell me what?" I asked.
Zexion's form began to change until he appeared as Mamoru Chiba, my lover from my previous life. My smile fell. "How did you- Zexion, that's not something to be taken lightly," I snapped.
"Usako, I'm not trying to mess around. This really is me. I had wanted to tell you, but it never seemed to be the right time. I was reborn as Ienzo. I had regained my memories a while ago, but I didn't know how to tell you," Zexion explained.
"Mamo-chan? Why? Why didn't you tell me? I might never have left if I had known. I feel like I've wasted so much time. Why didn't you tell me?" If we hadn't been underwater, he would have seen tears in my eyes.
"I know." His illusion fell, and he was back to looking like his usual self, but I knew on the inside, he was my Mamo-chan. "I'm sorry. I didn't want it to go on for this long. I don't know when I'll be able to see you again, if at all. I just had to tell you. Maybe someday, when I have a heart again, you and I can live happily ever after, but for now, I don't have a solution."
I thought about it before I came to a decision. "You must find a way to have Xemnas come to me so that I can beg him to take me back."
"Jess, no. I cannot allow that. Your relationship with him has been toxic at best. To beg for his mercy... please reconsider," Zexion begged.
"But Zexion, I love-" I started.
"Then let's be together when I can love you, too. The moment we find a way to obtain Kingdom Hearts and have hearts of our own, you and I will be together for the rest of our lives. Promise me. Please?" Zexion pleaded.
"I promise that I will wait patiently for you. Do you really think that this is the end of my ties with the Organization?" I wondered.
"I think that it isn't healthy for you to live with people who don't have hearts. Goodbye, Usako," Zexion sighed. He kissed me before he left. I could hardly swim straight as I went back to the room.
"Who was that?" Adella smirked.
"No one. Just an old friend," I replied.
"He looked like more than a friend to me," Andrina commented.
"Leave it alone, girls. Jess is entitled to her own secrets," Attina advised.
I turned to her and mouthed, "Thank you." She smiled at me before going back to getting ready.
You may have noticed that the cover image changed. That is because I'm working on doing my own covers now. I like how this one turned out. I may change it occasionally when I have some extra time to do some art specific to a chapter, but this is going to be my main picture.
