Jessica's Point of View

Zexion's diary wasn't there when I woke up, and neither was Xemnas. "No! Stupid, stupid, stupid!" I shouted at myself. He had read it. Xehanort had seemed to know something about me having been Sailor Moon back before he merged with Terra, but I didn't know how much he knew, much less how much Xemnas knew.

I ran to Xemnas's office and bumped into Xigbar on the way. "Hey, where's the fire?" Xigbar asked.

"Can't talk," I muttered, not bothering to stop. I made it to Xemnas's office. "Where is it?" I quickly knew about the book's whereabouts when I saw Xemnas reading it. "Give it back!"

"And what will you do if I don't, Serenity?" Xemnas smirked.

"You can't trust his ramblings. He was clearly delusional. Please don't call me that," I snapped. I hoped he hadn't known anything before reading and that I could convince him that the diary was just well-crafted stories.

"I will admit, I had not expected that boy to be the Earth Prince. It's no wonder you tried to guard his diary so closely." Xemnas kept talking, but I zoned him out. I wanted to wake up from my nightmare.

I covered my ears and closed my eyes. "Just shut up!" I screamed, finally having had enough. It took me a moment to realize what I had done, and I dropped my hands to my sides and slowly opened my eyes. Xemnas didn't say a word. I eyed the diary in fear that Xemnas would destroy it then and there, but he didn't. I knew the look on his face well. He was calculating what to say to me next.

"It's alright, Serenity," Xemnas said.

"Please don't call me that. I'm Jessica. It's true. I used to be her, but I'm not her anymore. I'm someone else now," I pleaded.

"Jessica, then. Here." Xemnas handed me the book. "It's mostly about you. For your sake, I took out the part about the events of Castle Oblivion. You're better off not knowing what happened."

"What did you do with those pages?" I questioned, grateful for the change in subject.

"I put them away for a time when you are strong enough to handle the truth. I know you will want to read it. Someday you will, but now is not the time," Xemnas replied.

"Fine," I sighed. I turned to the door to leave.

"Jessica," Xemnas began, stopping me in my tracks.

I turned back to Xemnas. "Yes?"

"I could have handled that better. I thought that you would remember- never mind. I just wanted to apologize." Xemnas stood up. "Come here, dear." I cautiously made my way back to Xemnas, and he hugged me. "It's alright. I've always known about you. I swear to you that no harm will come from me knowing that you are Serenity."

"Who are you?" I shuddered.

Xemnas released me and placed his hands on my shoulders. He smiled at me almost lovingly. "I would rather you remember yourself than tell you, but if it becomes too late, I will tell you in the end. I promise."

"That doesn't make me feel better," I grumbled.

"Listen to your heart. I'm sure it knows the truth," Xemnas mentioned. He let go of my shoulders. I thought about staying to find more answers about Xemnas, but in the end, I decided to go back to my room to read Zexion's diary.
