Sorry for the wait on this chapter everyone!

I'll admit that I've been having a little trouble outside of writing lately and its but a bit of a damper on my writing.

This chapter is definitely on the lighter side of things after the last few chapters and it's done on purpose. Also, you guys will find out the origin of Ban's nickname for Hecate and I really loved writing that memory of them since it really just fits them so well. Plus, there's just some fun little quirks that make some interactions even better.

As you might have guessed, I want to show the easy-going nature of Ban and Hecate's relationship. It isn't quick nor is it simple. Both of these characters come with baggage, let's face it, but as I've done with the previous memories of them together, I enjoy showing you guys that what they have is simple and natural without trying to rush the romance. They'll always be affectionate towards each other, even in the simplest ways, but that's just how they are.

I hope you guys enjoy this chapter, it really is a sweet one, I think!

Thank you, guys, for your feedback! I'm really glad you're liking this fic! And honestly, I do love hearing from everyone!, I know I don't respond to them, but I truly do appreciate them!

Next chapter will be more of the same-ish kind of vibe that this chapter has, plus a serious conversation between Ban and Hecate.

See you next update!

Disclaimer: I do not own anything from Seven Deadly Sins, not that I wouldn't love to have the rights to have Ban... I own Hecate, her ability and any other characters not part of the anime.

Ban stretched his arms out as he headed upstairs to his shared room. Hawk's mother was already on the move, their Captain didn't want to stay in the area any longer, just in case any more Holy Knights came around. Yawning loudly, the immortal pushed open the door and smirked a little at what he saw. Hecate was curled up in bed, the sheets wrapped around her body while her face was buried into the pillow. Her hand was curled into the pillowcase and from what he could see, she was dead to the world, so to speak. Shaking his head, the immortal closed the door behind him and walked over to the bed. He might as well join his Kitten in rest until they stopped for the night and Hawk woke the rest of them up. Plopping onto the bed without disturbing the woman, he rolled onto his side so he could face the woman.

She was in peace, something that Ban had noted earlier after he talked with Elaine. He was curious to know what happened to her back there, what her experience had been before she began fighting that Holy Knight. But he wasn't going to disturb her sleep, she had a rough day as it was, he was surprised she had lasted as long as she had. Chuckling a bit, the immortal merely ran his knuckles over her cheek, smiling lightly when he felt her nuzzle his hand with a smile on her sleeping face. A moment later, a small purr erupted from the woman as she curled into him, and Ban had to bite his tongue to keep himself from laughing out loud as he smirked down at her.

"And you wondered why I started calling you 'Kitten' in the first place." He mused, grinning softly at her as he thought back to that day fondly.

Ban was bored. Elaine and Dante were sitting by the Fountain together, absorbed in whatever they were talking about, being the cute and slightly oblivious couple that were. He was laying on one of the branches in the Great Tree, staring lazily up at the sky, but he was itching to move around. It had been a while since he had settled down anywhere, and while he was happy there… he was starting to feel the familiar itch to travel.

Sighing heavily, he leaned back on the branch, hanging down slightly as he looked around, trying to find something to amuse himself with. That was when he spotted Cat moving about, heading down the tree. The couple didn't seem to notice her leaving, either they were used to her disappearing or they didn't even notice it because they were so focused on each other. Deciding this was the best chance that he had to get out of that tree and curb both his boredom and his curiosity, the man flipped off his branch and followed her. The woman didn't seem to notice that he was following her as she grabbed onto a nearby vine and slid down the rest of the way. He followed behind, wondering where she was going.

Usually, Cat was content to sit in the sun and read one of the books she traveled with or sharing travel stories from days far past. In the three days that he had been with them, he had never once seen her leave the Great Tree like this, unless it was her turn to gather food for them. Once his feet touched the ground, he felt his brows pinch as he watched the halfling head deeper into the forest without a care in the world.

"And what are you up to, Cat?" he mused, more to himself than anything as he followed behind her.

He had to admit though, the woman did pick a good day to get out and walk around. It was a clear, bright afternoon that day, allowing the forest to almost glow under its light. Every single colour he passed was more vibrant than the last as he looked around the forest. He honestly never took a good look at the place until then, and even to him, it was surprisingly peaceful… and dare he say it… beautiful.

When Ban looked at the path ahead to see where Cat had headed to, he stopped. The woman was gone. Cursing under his breath, he looked around with pinched brows, trying to find any sign of the woman. He was tempted to call out to her, but he didn't want to give away that he had been following her. Sighing heavily, he began walking again, trying to find her. If he lost her now, then he would be bored again. The longer he walked into the Forest, the more he realized that he didn't know where the hell he was.

"Damnit!" he cursed, stopping in the middle of his walk, and looked around in irritation. "Where the hell is she!?"

"Here." a feminine voice whispered in his ear from behind and before he could react, a knife lightly pressed into his neck, much to his surprise.

"The hell, Cat?" Ban yelped, causing the woman behind him to start giggling, retracting the knife from him as he spun around to stare at her.

The woman was bent over, laughing now as she pointed at him. He huffed, crossing his arms over his chest as he waited for the woman to calm down. When she finally did, the human couldn't help but scoff at her, narrowing his eyes as she merely grinned up at him mischievously. Her expressive eyes told him exactly what was going through her mind as she rested her hands upon her hips.

"That's what you get for following me, mister." She chuckled teasingly before slipping her knife back into her boot. "Why were following me anyways?" she asked, tilting her head this time out of curiosity.

Ban shifted slightly at her question, feeling sheepish with his reasoning now as he rubbed the back of his neck while looking up at the sky to avoid her gaze.

"I was bored…" he mumbled with a shrug. "I saw you leaving and decided to follow you…" It was a lame excuse, he knew that, but it was the only one he had.

Hecate was silent for a moment as she looked at the bandit. She knew he wasn't lying to her; it was obvious with the way he was acting. She hummed thoughtfully, smiling a little at the man. Honestly, it hadn't taken her long to realize she was being followed, and after so many years of familiarizing herself with the Forest, it was easy for her to slip off and trail the person tracking her. She was surprised to see that it had been Ban who was following her, and she wanted to play a small prank on him for it.

"So, you were getting the wander-lust itch too?" the woman spoke softly at her brief silence, an understanding smile made its way onto her face, and he shifted again.

"Yeah…" Ban admitted with a sheepish smile, only to pause in realization. "Wait… is that why you left?" he asked, blinking at the woman now, who merely nodded.

"I get restless, so I'll leave the tree for a day and spend time in the Forest." Cat explained softly, as she motioned to the area around them. "It's large enough that taking a day to explore curbs the need to travel."

Ban nodded as she spoke, feeling an odd amount of relief when she said she was only exploring the Forest. For a moment, he thought she was going to leave, and he didn't want that. It was comforting for him to have someone around when Elaine and Dante were all cutesy. He didn't want to think what he would do if Cat weren't around so they could distract each other with something else.

"I guess I can understand that…" he mused, smirking now as he looked at the woman. "So, where were you headed to?" he asked curiously, watching as she shrugged nonchalantly.

"Just a place I found." She answered him vaguely, causing him to hum.

"Mind if I tag along?" he prodded, watching as she rolled her eyes at him and he grinned.

"If you must…" she sighed, as if it were such a hardship to allow him to go along with her, but there was a teasing smile on her face that told him otherwise.

"I'd follow you anyway." He smirked and she laughed.

They both knew it was true. He already proved that. With a mock bow, Ban motioned for the halfling to lead the way and with a snort and a shake of her head, Cat did just that.

The two walked side-by-side through the Faerie Forest. Ban was listening intently as Cat pointed out some flowers or herbs that could be used for remedies or poisons if mixed correctly. The man found himself becoming fascinated by what the halfling said, watching as her eyes lit up about the topic. He knew from their previous conversations that her mother had been a healer, which was where all this knowledge came from, plus the woman's own studies to continue on her mother's memory. It did surprise him though that Cat took the time to understand and study the plants in the forest, but he supposed it made sense with her need to wander around.

Ban wasn't sure how long it had been since they started walking, but he soon began hearing water flowing nearby. His brows pinched at that as he looked around, trying to find the source of the water. He hadn't seen anything close to a water source since his arrival, even from the Great Tree it was hard to find anything of the sort with all the trees everywhere. The more they walked, the louder the water became until Cat led him into some bushes.

"Here we are." She spoke softly, but the man could tell she was also smiling.

Looking up, Ban stared at the area they were in. The bush and trees opened up into a small clearing where there was a waterfall surrounded by the lush greenery around them. There was a pool at the base of the waterfall with water lilies floating on top. The entire area looked surreal, as if it didn't belong in the forest, yet it blended perfectly.

"How did you find this place?" he asked curiously, looking down at the woman.

Once more, Hecate shrugged, to be fair, even she didn't know the answer to that. She had just been wandering one day and followed her ears until she came upon it. As much as she wanted to share it with Dante and Elaine, but she never did. She kept the place to herself and made it a sort of refuge when she needed time away from the others.

"Huh…" the man mused, watching as the woman walked towards one of the willow trees and made herself comfortable underneath it.

Ban stood there for a moment, just taking in the sight, it was like a small little paradise inside a larger one. That was the only way he could explain it really. Deciding to just enjoy this, he joined Cat under the tree, sitting down next to her while folding his arms behind his head as he stared off into the distance. There was something about the sound of water that began relaxing the man more as he stared up at the sky. He wasn't sure how much time passed before something fell into his chest and then something curled into him.

Looking down, he couldn't help but chuckle quietly. Cat was using him as her personal pillow, it seemed. She was curled into his side, her head resting above his heart, her hand curled into his jacket. Reaching down, he lightly ran his fingers through her loose hair, having seen Dante doing it often enough to know it was something she liked. What surprised him though was the purring that occurred mere seconds after he started. He couldn't stop the laughter from bubbling up as he stared at her incredibly. Never would he imagine hearing this woman purr like a kitten.

"Maybe that's what I should call you from now on…" he mused with a wicked smirk. "Kitten…." He chuckled.

"No… Kitten…. Just Cat…" the woman murmured, her sleepy eyes opening, accompanied by a yawn as she buried her head into his chest again.

"Hush, Kitten, just rest…" Ban chuckled softly as he ran his fingers through her hair once more and the purring slowly began again as she began fading against him.

He relaxed against the tree with an arm behind his head, just staring up into the sky. That was when he slowly realized something, he was at peace. Just like that, with this woman resting against him, he felt whole. It was a strange notion for him to accept, that with this woman at his side, that the world felt complete. That caused unrest to bubble up in his chest, nothing good ever happened to him. He was sure of that. Yet, as Kitten moved in her sleep, nestled into him with part of his jacket curled between her fingers, that unrest settled again. She was the one bringing him peace… he understood that now. Hecate… no… his Kitten, was what he truly had been searching for and he wasn't about to give her up.

Understanding how, Ban closed his eyes, still running his fingers through his Kitten's hair as she slept on, a small purr erupting now and then as she made herself comfortable against him.

Honestly… he could get used to something like this…

A rocking stirred the immortal from his sleep as Hawk's Mother stopped walking. Yawning loudly, the man stretched his limbs out before looking down at his Kitten, who was still curled up against him. From where he laid, he could hear talking from the tavern below and as much as he wanted to just stay there, he knew it was futile. Deciding it was time for them to get up, he lightly poked his Kitten's cheek, watching in amusement as the woman's face scrunched up at his consistent bothering. She raised a hand to swat at him, but he only laughed, and continued poking her cheek.

"…Stop!" she whined sleepily, trying to swat at him again, but missed as she hit the pillow above her head.

"Time to get up, Kitten." He cooed teasingly, listening as she groaned.

"Why?" she asked, pouting, not wanting to get out of bed just yet.

"Cause it's either I get you up, or one of the others will." He teased, poking her cheek again as she slowly opened her eyes.

Things were blurry when Hecate finally opened her eyes to look at her annoying immortal. He was grinning softly down at her, his expressive eyes matching the softness in his face as she turned her head a little to look at him better, propping her head up on top of her folded hands.

"Mean." She whined, but knew it was better if he woke her up rather than the others.

"I know." He shrugged simply and she snorted, lightly swatting his chest, causing him to laugh as he nudged her. "Come on, up we get."

"Fine, fine…" Hecate sighed heavily and slowly pushed herself up onto her knees.

The woman paused to stretch her arms out before crawling over Ban's legs to stand. She lazily pulled on her boots, listening to Ban as he sat up. He was watching her with that lazy look of his before he stood at the same time as she straightened out. Before she could take a step, arms wrapped around her from behind, pulling her firmly against the immortal's chest. She didn't say anything though, merely leaned back with closed eyes as she rested her hands onto of his arms. Despite the sturdiness of the man, she could feel a slight trembling in him. It was a sign that something was deeply troubling the man, but he wouldn't speak about it now. She knew that much.

Turning in his arms, Hecate reached up and lightly stroked his cheek, watching as his eyes focused back on her before sighing. She always knew what was going on in that mind of his, as much as he tried to play it off as him just being irrational, the man felt more deeply than anyone she had met.

"We'll talk tonight," she promised him, smiling tenderly as he leaned into her hand, closing his eyes in content.

"Think we'll manage to get time to do that?" he asked quietly, slowly opening his eyes again to look down at her.

Ban was worried about having enough privacy so they could talk. No matter how much he trusted the others, these were sensitive topics for both of them. Their trip to the Necropolis had reminded him of every promise he made to himself and his Kitten. Right now, he was lucky that his Kitten was still there with him, but like Elaine had told him back in that place, he knew he could easily lose her too.

And that was something he refused to accept.

"It won't be hard. We socialize as long as we want to, then we can head back to our room and talk before we sleep again. Lord knows how much we need it after today…" she quipped, causing the man to laugh.

"You just want to cuddle some more." He teased, smirking down at her.

To his utter surprise and glee, Hecate's face turned pink with blush as she rolled her eyes at him.

"That's just a bonus." She muttered her admittance, shaking her head at him with a smile.

Ban chuckled and opened his mouth to reply when two thumps echoed against the door.

"Come on you two. We're setting up camp!" Their Captain called to them before the blonde's footsteps retreated.

The two shared a loo of amusement before rolling their eyes. It was a miracle that they ever got time to themselves with a group like this.

"Let's join them before they decide to break the door down." Hecate murmured softly with a soft smile and slowly retracted her hand.

Ban felt her body push lightly against his arms so she could move away from him, and instinctually tightened his arms around her. She paused and stared up at him, her eyes questioning his own actions. Instead of answering, he merely leaned down, brushing his lips against the crown of her head. To his surprise, he felt her lean into him, her hands lightly gripping his arms, and she trembled.

"Like you mentioned, we'll talk later." He murmured against her hair before gradually pulling away so he could look at her properly.

Hecate was staring at him, her pink eyes slightly wide with a mixture of emotions flashing through them. Her hair was still wild from sleep and him playing with it earlier. Ban gently brushed some hair from her pink face, watching her intently as she shyly looked away from him, causing him to smile. He was about to move back when he felt her hand upon his face again and moved when she guided his head down. He felt his eyes widen when her lips pressed against his cheek, and for a moment, savoured the contact.

"And like you said earlier…" Hecate murmured softly against his skin. "It's a date." She quoted his own words back at him, and the immortal couldn't stop the laughter from erupting out.

Hecate pulled back as she watched him, smiling imply at the man. There really was much that they needed to speak about. That was an understatement, but for now, she was going to settle with seeing him smile.

"Come on, let's go." Ban chuckled, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and the two left their room.

Walking down the to the tavern floor, the duo left the building, noticing that everyone had gathered outside, around a fire. It seemed their Captain decided to let them settle next to a large, crystal blue lake that was surrounded by forest. It was rather peaceful there, reminding Hecate of her 'secret' spot back when the Faerie Forest was still around. It made the woman smile as she and Ban jumped down from Hawk's Mother's head so they could join the others.

"About time, guys!" Hawk scolded the two, huffing when they merely shrugged their shoulders. "What were you doing anyway?" he demanded, stomping his foot against the ground.

"Sleeping." Hecate responded dryly, rubbing her eyes a bit as she sat down on one of the empty logs with a yawn. "It's been a stressful day for me, so give me a break." She waved the pig's accusing gaze, causing the others to chuckle.

"And what was Ban doing?" he asked suspiciously as the immortal plopped down next to her with his own yawn.

"Making me purr."

The words slipped out of Hecate's mouth before she even realized it and Hawk squealed in disbelief. Next to her, Ban was trying his hardest not to laugh like a madman but failing as his snickers escaped. Hecate's brows pinched together in confusion as she looked at the man, rolling her eyes at him. However, when she looked around at the others, they each seemed to have a different reaction to her words. Their Captain was grinning impishly at her, snickering to himself, while Elizabeth was flushed with wide eyes, her hands covering her mouth. Both King and Diane had tinted cheeks and were avoiding her gaze as she blinked innocently for a moment before the double meaning finally caught up to her.

"Shit! That's not what I meant!" She squeaked out, heat rising to her cheeks from embarrassment. "I meant that I have a habit of purring whenever my hair is played with! Not that!" she tripped over her words as Ban let his laughter go free.

"I-I can't believe…" the immortal was having trouble forming words as he laughed at his Kitten. "Y-your face-!"

"You ass!" Hecate smacked the immortal as the others released their own laughter at her expense. "You could have said something!" she scolded him.

Ban clutched his stomach as he fell back off the log, still laughing at his Kitten. His stomach was starting to ache from his laughter as he held it. He couldn't believe she spoke without thinking like that. From what he gathered, no one expected those words to slip out of her mouth so casually. Even if he knew what she really meant, it was worth seeing everyone's reaction to those simple words. After all, only he, Elaine and Dante knew that his Kitten purred when her hair was played with while she was asleep.

"Sorry…" The immortal managed to calm down enough to speak as he grinned up at his Kitten.

"No, you're not…" Hecate rolled her eyes at him and lightly kicked at his feet. "Gods, I can't believe you let say that…" she groaned, covering her face with her hands.

The others chuckled at them, coming down from their own shock at the words the halfling blatantly spoke. For the Sins, this was a rare glimpse at the halfling that they only saw whenever she was tired. Whatever came out of her mouth tended to be a surprise for all parties.

"Come on, Cat," Meliodas grinned at her cheekily. "It's not the first time you've made innuendos like that with Ban." He teased as he passed her a tankard of ale.

"Just because I'm tired, does not mean I'm fully responsible for what I say." Hecate responded dryly as she accepted the glass, pointing her finger at him. "Besides… he," she nodded to Ban, "should have stopped me."

"Oh, yeah?" Ban raised an eyebrow with a smirk as he sat up, accepting a tankard as well. "And how am I supposed to do that?" he challenged her, causing the woman to roll her eyes.

"I don't know… what do you usually do to shut me up?" the halfling raised an eyebrow at him, challenging him now. She was trying to be careful with what she said now, she didn't need to embarrass herself anymore than she had already.

Ban paused as he stared at his Kitten before smirking at her. He could see the mischief in her eyes as she, and the others, waited for his answer. Instead, he took a long drink from his mug, smirking at her as she shook her head in amusement. It was obvious to everyone that he wasn't going to speak, most of their group merely shook their heads at the two.

"Uhm… Cat…" Elizabeth spoke up hesitantly, and the halfling turned to her with a smile.

"What's up?" Hecate asked curiously, taking a drink from her tankard.

"Is… is purring normal for you?" the girl questioned shyly, but honestly curious.

Elizabeth had never heard of another being able to purr like a cat before, and she couldn't help but wonder what else she didn't know. She watched as the halfling scratched her cheek sheepishly as she stared out into the water, her cheeks colouring again in embarrassment. It was then, that Elizabeth realized that this topic was something the woman wasn't comfortable with getting out, but before she could apologize and assure the woman that she didn't have to explain, the woman spoke.

"It is…" Hecate admitted as she turned to the girl with a slight smile. "My brother, Dante, and I both purr when someone plays with our hair… but we usually have to be dozing for it to occur. Any other occasion, and it doesn't work." she explained, toying with the necklace. "Don't ask us why that is, even we don't know, but yeah…" she shrugged, giving the princess a little smile.

Elizabeth nodded her head as she threaded her fingers together, smiling back at the woman who sipped from her tankard with a peaceful look on her face.

"Captain! I'm hungry!" Diane whined as her stomach let out a loud growl.

Before anyone could chuckle, the rest of their stomachs joined in, causing the group to share a mutual, sheepish look. It seemed everyone was hungry after the day they had, not that it was too surprising. Fighting a Holy Knight like that would make anyone hungry.

"Alright then," Meliodas grinned at the group, clapping his hands together a bit. "Want me to make something?" he asked, looking around at everyone curiously.

"NO!" the collective voices of everyone, aside from Elizabeth shouted, their faces contorting into horror as they voiced their opinions.

Next to him, Elizabeth gave the Captain of the Seven Deadly Sins a pitiful smile as the others settled back where they were, sharing a look with each other. No one wanted Sir Meliodas' cooking, which was a shame, at least in Elizabeth's opinion. Even if his food were horrible, she was still grateful that he would even consider cooking for her at all.

"Why don't we just stick with the fish in the lake?" King suggested, floating in place next to Diane.

"Good ides, we can roast them over a fire then." Hecate agreed, setting her tankard on the ground as she stood.

"Huh? Where you think you're going Cat?" their Captain asked curiously as the woman headed towards the lake.

"Where else?" the woman grinned back at them, "Fishing." She supplied as she walked into the cooling water.

Ban watched with a hum, smirking slightly as he saw her pause when she was halfway into the water before turning to them again.

"How big do you want them?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.

"As big as you can get them, Cat!" Diane called grinning happily as she began making the fire.

"You got it!" the halfling replied and dove into the water.

"Won't she get cold?" Elizabeth asked worriedly, looking over at the immortal for an answer.

Despite knowing that anyone one of the Sins could answer her, it seemed that Ban knew her the best. Even the others turned the man who merely sighed at them, slightly annoyed that he had to answer them.

"Kitten has some resistance to the cold, probably because she's a halfling. I doubt she even knows it's cold, for her it might be warmish or something… I don't know." He replied, waving their curiosity away. "Let me drink…" he muttered and downed the rest of his ale, only to find that his tankard was empty already.

The group watched in slight amusement ass the immortal pouted in disappointment, turning his mug upside down a little. Sighing to himself, Ban eyed his Kitten's tankard, knowing that the woman tended to nurse her drinks to savour their taste. He figured she wouldn't mind, so long as he replaced the liquid before she came back.

"Captain…" Ban whined, only to be cut off when a bottle was tossed his way, which he easily caught with a grateful smirk. "Thank you!"

"You know Cat would skin you if you took her drink." Their Captain teased but the immortal merely shrugged.

The roar of a fire pulled everyone's attention to the center of their campsite as Diane beamed down proudly at everyone. A moment later, a large fish was tossed onto the shore, causing the giantess to squeal happily at the size of it. It was about the size of King if anyone had to guess, but it was big enough to feed a couple of them for one night, or just Diane. Immediately, the giantess had the large fish on a spike to roast when two medium sized fish flopped onto the shore, along with a third. Once again, Diane took care of putting the fish on spikes so they could roast, the entire time, she hummed happily at the food.

King was the first to spot Hecate coming out of the water, ringing her hair out against the sand. He floated over to her, laying on his sacred weapon, which was in the form of a pillow. The Faerie remember that he owed her a new top, but it didn't look as if she was in dire need of one at the moment. Her skin was flushed from the cold, but it didn't seem to bother any.

"Need a blanket or something?" he asked, resting his chin on his hand as she looked up at him with a bit of a smile.

"Nah, just a warm fire to dry off." She assured him as she made sure there was no more water dripping from her hair, and he nodded absentmindedly.

"Diane's cooking everything now…" he mentioned, and she nodded her head. "Ban tried stealing your tankard…" he added, only to watch as the woman laughed quietly.

"Not surprising, he is a bandit after all." She mused fondly, shaking her head a little, causing King to sniff a bit.

"Still don't see why you and Elaine think so highly of him." He muttered, causing the halfling to laugh.

Ban watched with slightly narrowed eyes as King and his Kitten talked. He didn't know what they were talking about, but it was lighthearted, as it usually was. He sighed a bit in his drink, turning his eyes towards the fire as he thought back to old times, and what Elaine mentioned to him.

He didn't know how long he was staring into the fire, but only looked up with someone nudged him a bit. Looking over he saw his Kitten giving him a knowing smile and took a long sip of her ale. Everyone was quiet as they waited for the fish to fry, just taking in the peaceful area and good company they were part of. Over the lake and past the forest around them, the sun slowly began to set.

"Here, Captain! Din-din's ready!" Diane cooed, taking the large fish, and offered it to the man. "Open wide!"

The giantess proceeded to poke the blonde's head as he sipped from his tankard, much to the amusement of the others.

"That's way too big." The Captain commented, not bothering to do much else.

"Say 'Ah!'" Diane tried prompting again.

Rolling their eyes at the familiar display, the two oddities grabbed one of the medium sized fish and split it between them. There was enough fish for everyone, and the largest of them all was for Diane herself to eat. While Ban and Hecate sat with their own part of a fish, King floated over to Diane, worry flashing over his face.

"Um, Diane?" King spoke up hesitantly. "Are your injuries really okay now?" he asked in concern, seeing as the giantess was quite content and looking better than earlier.

Diane's focus turned to King as she brought the large fish up to her face, looking away from the faerie. "S-sure, I feel fine!" she told him shyly.

Watching the display, Hecate couldn't help but smile at them, but next to her, Ban snorted after taking a large gulp of ale.

"Dumbass, she pretended to be hurt to get the Captain to fawn over her!" Ban pointed out, his speech starting to slur a bit from the amount of ale he had already, pointing at the faerie in amusement.

Hecate rolled her eyes at that, nudging the immortal, he really wasn't making things better, that much was sure. And much like she thought, she watched as King began clenching his fists.

"Here we go again…" she murmured to herself and bit into her fish.

Turning to the tipsy immortal, King clenched his fist in anger and disbelief at the audacity of Ban's words. He couldn't believe he would say something like that about Diane!

"Diane's not that kind of girl!" he declared, feeling certain about that, unaware of Diane's sheepish look.

"Calm down, you two." Their Captain mentioned, looking up at the faerie, after all, the blonde was trying to enjoy his ale.

"Speaking of girls, I never asked." King mentioned, blinking a little as he floated down a bit in front Elizabeth and their Captain. "What is your relationship with this girl, Captain?" the faerie asked.

"The 'lovers' kind?" their Captain spoke coyly as he began groping Elizabeth's breast.

"No!" the princess squealed as the blond happily took advantage of the situation.

"The 'grope and be groped' kind?" Meliodas mused, forcing Elizabeth to touch him.

"Sir Meliodas!" Elizabeth squeaked at his actions while King merely watched in disbelief.

He turned to see if the others were reacting the same way as he was but found that aside from an irritated Diane and Hawk, that this behaviour was normal. However normal that type of relationship was.

"Hey, don't—" Elizabeth cut herself off when their Captain finally stopped messing around, much to her embarrassment.

"She's a princess of the realm." Meliodas supplied with a cheeky grin. "The third, right?" he looked over at the princess for confirmation, but everyone knew he was right.

"Yes." Elizabeth confirmed shyly, looking over at their Captain.

King's eyes opened wide at the news, having not expected such a thing. Not to mention that the girl was allowing their Captain to grope her without much of a fuss was another unusual thing, but considering the group knew how perverted the man was, it sadly didn't come to much of a surprise.

"A-A princess?!" King sputtered in disbelief. "You should have said so!" he complained to their Captain, who merely sipped his ale. "If I had known, I would have made myself presentable!" he scolded himself

Next to Hecate, Ban had just refilled again as he snorted at King's words, and she couldn't help but wonder just how many he had so far. She wasn't concerned though, besides, she was much more amused by what was going on with King, Elizabeth, and their Captain. The halfling watched as King's face contorted slightly, clutching his hands into fists.

"It looks like he's trying to take a crap." Ban quietly murmured into Hecate's ear.

Covering her mouth to hide her snort, she nudged the grinning immortal, knowing exactly what her reaction would be. Before she could respond verbally, King's appearance changed to that of an older man, the appearance King took ten years ago, causing Ban to spit out his ale in shock. The person that stood before them now was a large, wide man that looked more ragged than anything. It was an appearance that many of them were familiar with after all. Instead of a larger version of the clothes he was wearing before, he was now dressed in a more formal attire that only King would wear when he had to address royalty.

The reactions from the others were immediate as Elizabeth stared at King in surprise, having not expected such a drastic change in the faerie's appearance. Diane merely smiled some as she shyly looked away, focusing on her fish. Hecate had moved to grab Ban's fish, shaking her head as the immortal stared wide-eyed at the faerie, spitting out the ale he had just drank. And the Captain of the Sins merely paused before drinking, acting surprised at the change of appearance.

"Hey, your clothes changed!" their Captain commented in surprise, causing Ban's irritation to spike.

"Look closer!" Ban yelled down at the blonde and Hecate couldn't help but snicker at the duo, but mostly at the fact that Ban was freaking out, again.

King turned to them with a slightly annoyed look on his face at the way they were reacting to his change in appearance. For most of them, it was the first time they had ever seen the faerie change like that, even more, most Sins didn't even know King had two different forms.

"It requires mental effort to change into this form." King informed them, and to hide her amusement, the halfling smiled into her mug.

"Sheesh, what a pig." Hawk spoke bluntly while he ate, staring unimpressed at the sight before them, much to the amusement of Hecate and Ban's surprise.

Ban looked over at his Kitten, watching as her eyes sparkled in amusement as she watched. Yawning a bit, he leaned back and wrapped an arm around the woman, who merely hummed softly as she leaned into him. That brought a smile to his face as he tilted his head back to knock down the rest of his drink.

"I am King the Grizzly Sin of the Seven Deadly Sins." King introduced himself, bowing before Elizabeth. "I am glad to make your acquaintance."

"O-of course, the pleasure is all mine." Elizabeth responded awkwardly.

An intense expression crossed King's face suddenly leaned in towards the princess, and Hecate felt pity for the girl. She really didn't know what she was getting herself into by wanting the group together. They were an odd group… a very odd group and there was no telling what would happen when they united.

"I was unaware you were a princess!" King mentioned, still focusing on the poor girl. "Please forgive my poor manners in the Necropolis!"

"Think nothing of it!" Elizabeth hastily assured the faerie as she instinctually took a step back before relaxing with that open and honest smile of hers. "Please don't be so stressed out. Feel free to relax."

"Oh. Well, if you insist." King hesitantly responded, taking slightly aback at the casual nature of the third princess.

Not a moment later, King returned to his usual self, flopping backwards onto his Sacred Treasure, which was in the form of a large green pillow with darker green circles on it. He let out a relieved sighed as he lounged a little.

"I'm out of practice; that was exhausting!" he complained, looking as tired as he sounded.

"His clothes changed back!" their Captain mused, staring at the faerie.

"Look closer, damn it!" Ban shouted at the man, much to his Kitten's amusement as she snickered next to him. "What's so funny?" He looked down at her with a slight frown, but the woman merely smiled up at him.

"Nothing!" she chirped happily, sipping her drink in content, causing the immortal to snort this time as he grabbed a bottle and refilled his mug.

"I have to say, you sure are powerful, Sir King." Elizabeth complimented the faerie, remembering how he fought in the Necropolis. "You mopped the floor with an opponent that Sir Meliodas and the others were having trouble with, all by yourself." She complimented him honestly.

King looked at her for a moment as he floated in the air, hugging the pillow to him before closing his eyes a bit with some smugness on his face. "True, I'm fairly powerful." He agreed, much to Ban's annoyance as the immortal scowled. "But you guys should have beaten that Holy Knight if you'd been able to unleash your real power." He pointed out.

Hecate mentally groaned at that, she had a feeling she knew what was coming next as she ate her fish, deciding to eat the rest of Ban's since it was clear that the immortal was keen on drinking than eating.

"Fess up, you four. Where are your sacred treasures?" King asked them suspiciously, looking over with sharp eyes.

"I lost mine." Diane admitted sheepishly but was trying to play it off.

"I sold mine!" Meliodas smiled, almost proud of what he did.

"Mine was stolen." Ban admitted in amusement.

"Mine's broken." Hecate rubbed the back of her neck with a slight smile.

King stared at the four Sins in disbelief, he honestly couldn't believe what he was hearing! Out of everyone, they should have known better! Of course, he didn't blame Diane, he was positive it wasn't her fault that she lost her sacred treasure. But the other three…

"Unthinkable!" he declared, and the four merely shared a chuckle with one another.

Oh, they were in trouble now.
