After a while, the door slid open, and the maid entered the room with several containers in her hands.
"Here, choose one of each, one for the body, and the other for a hair ," the maid said with a smile.
Kagome examined each container and picked a cedar-scented one for her hair. An orchid-scented one for her body. The maid took the cedar container and began to wash Kagome's hair.
"I'm not used to being washed. Can I wash my body, please?" Kagome asked. "Yes, you can. Sorry, I'm just used to helping," the maid replied.
As soon as Kagome finished taking a bath, she went back to her room to get dressed. On the bed lay a new Miko robe with the mark of the Western Lords on the sleeve. Once dressed, she noticed the maid standing at the door again.
"As soon as you're ready, Lord Sesshomaru would like you to come to the dinner table," the maid said. "Okay, I'm ready. Can you lead the way?" Kagome asked.
Kagome followed the maid down the hall and into the dining room, where she saw two huge tables. Sesshomaru was sitting at the head of one of the tables and gestured for her to come and sit with him. There were also a couple of other demons sitting at the table with him.
"So you're the one he is sending to the village," one of the demons said.
"I volunteered to go. I don't have a village; I stay wandering," Kagome said.
"Why would you do that for him?" the demon asked. "Because it's who I am," Kagome replied.
"This is Hinnata and Reven. They will be going with you to the village. Let them know of anything you need to bring with you, and they will gather all the supplies needed for while you are there," Sesshomaru interjected.
"They are mates, so you will be safe. They are also the best in their field," Sesshomaru added.
"Okay," Kagome said.
"I have a list of herbs and other items we need before tonight," Kagome said with a smile.
"You seem very happy. Do you have any idea what you're walking into?" Reven asked.
"I know that there is a sickness spreading fast and killing people. Luckily, I'm immune to most sicknesses," Kagome replied.
"How can you trust her, Lord Sesshomaru? She is only human," Hinnata said.
"She is an ally and traveled with my brother" Sesshomaru said.
Inuyasha your half brother inst he human now? Reven said curiously
Indeed he is human now. Sesshomaru said
this is the shikon miko that took Kikyo's place after her passing. he added.
Oh so the immortal one then Reven said
Immortal? Kagome said looking at Sesshomaru with a raised eyebrow.
In the last two moon cycles you haven't aged at all miko Kagome. I know more then I say Kagome. Sesshomaru said
I've wondered if I was gonna age at all knowing where i'm from lord Sesshomaru, but don't believe I will till time catches up so I have awhile. Kagome said
What does she mean when till time catches up Hinnata said
I'm from 500 plus years in the future and I got stuck in this time Kagome said not caring anymore.
Dinner was brought out and everyone started eating. once the meals were done Kagome excused herself and asked to be taken to the library, so she could make the list for Hinnata and Reven. Kagome quickly got the list together and went to Sesshomaru's study.
Here is the list of supplies needed. Kagome said
Taking the parchment from her he quickly glanced at it and called for Reven.
Here gather the supplies be ready in 2 days time Sesshomaru said
Yes lord Sesshomaru Reven said hurrying out of the room.
well i'm gonna head to bed see you tomorrow lord Sesshomaru Kagome said with a slight bow and left the room.
"Ill have to brief her tomorrow of who that demon possibly is. If it is who i think. she is gonna have a fight on her hands" Sesshomaru thought
'true but it is also mating season ' Sesshomaru's beast interjects.
"so possibly after her as a mate hmm that wouldn't do." Sesshomaru thought no longer able to focus on his work
