**KURO'S POV**
I put my burgundy red coat over a white turtleneck, which accented my black pants. I grabbed a red winter cap, tied my hair up and slipped it on. Right after putting on my fuzzy black boots and wrapping a white scarf around my neck, I looked at myself in the mirror that was in the hallway. Everything looks ok, so why do I feel so nervous?
He did say that it was some kind of an event, so I don't know what he plans to do with me. Maybe I should put on some makeup.
I ran back into my room, dug through my clothes drawer, found, and opened up my makeup pouch. Inside was a small container of blush, foundation, and lip gloss. I've never been a big fan of caking myself with makeup, but even my mom wants me to dolly up sometimes.
I lightly applied the blush, lip gloss and foundation, ran back into the hallway and checked the full-body mirror once more.
That's a little bit better.
It feels weird wearing makeup just for Josuke. Hopefully, I'm not overdoing it.
I checked the clock on the wall.
3:15
He's kind of late. I hope everything is ok.
Walking outside my house, the icy breeze tickled my cheeks. We're supposed to get a ton of snow today. I hope wherever we're going is close by.
"Hey!"
I see a red motorcycle speed up the hill near my house, coming closer and closer with a familiar pompadour friend riding it. The motorcycle abruptly stopped at my house with Josuke grinning. "Sorry I'm late, traffic was bad this afternoon."
"Josuke!" I ran up towards him. "When did you get a motorcycle?"
"Since this morning," he said as he got off it. "I spent all the money I saved up. It kinda makes me feel like a badass riding it."
"It kind of does." I giggled. I looked up and down at his form. The flashy red sweater with slick black pants, the red gloves that matched his whole outfit and accented his bike, everything about him was so cool. "You look really handsome today."
"I do?" His cheeks started to go pink. "Yeah! Of course I do! I wanted to look nice for you today."
"Really?" I smiled. "Well, you did a good job. What about me?" I unbuttoned my jacket and spun around, showing Josuke my white and black outfit.
He rubbed the back of his neck."You look cute today, but I think you always look cute."
That comment made me blush. He's always teasing me. I can never tell if he's joking or if he means something else. Either way it's cute of him.
Josuke went over to his bike and patted the seat. "Well, what are you waiting for? Hop on!"
"Wait, where are we going?"
My friend gave me a huge goofy smile as he jumped on the bike. "It's a surprise. Just trust me."
Josuke sometimes has mischievous plans, I hope he doesn't take me somewhere weird.
As I sat on the bike, I looked at his back slightly confused. "I've never ridden a motorcycle before. Where should I put my arms?"
"Oh, just put your arms around my chest, I don't want you to fall off."
I followed his orders, wrapping my arms around his muscular chest and putting my hands on his shoulders. He's so warm. I could smell the oak- scented cologne he uses. I've hugged Josuke countless times in the past, but hugging him from behind feels slightly more intimate.
"Are you ready?" He asked. I nodded my head. Immediately, Josuke pressed his foot on the gas pedal, jerking me forward. I squeezed him even more tightly. He turned his head around. "Are you ok?"
"Yeah. You just startled me a bit."
"Well hang on tight. Once we get on the highway I'll have to speed up a bit."
"Ok."
Once we got out of the neighborhood, he was right. He sped up on his bike, moving through the flow of traffic. He made a right turn at a light, going up a lone hill in the middle of nowhere.
The further Josuke drove us up the hill, the less traffic there was, isolating us.
"It feels nice riding around like this," I said. "Can we do this more often?"
"What?" Josuke yelled out over the motorcycle engine and the wind. "I can't hear you."
"I SAID IT FEELS NICE RIDING AROUND LIKE THIS!"
"YEAH! MAYBE WE CAN GO ON SOME TRIPS TOGETHER!" His voice started to get drowned out from the engine again.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!"
"ACTUALLY, I'LL TELL YOU WHEN WE GET THERE!"
I was enjoying the ride so much, I completely forgot that we were trying to go somewhere. The breeze against my face, holding Josuke's back, the hundreds of pine trees we pass every few minutes. Everything feels so nice and peaceful, even slightly romantic.
I tightened my grip around his chest and rested my head against his back.
Suddenly, the bike started to sway slightly to the left, tilting the bike and almost touching both of our feet to the ground.
"Josuke?" I tapped on his shoulder.
Nothing.
"Josuke? Can you hear me?"
His head started drifting backwards until his face faced mine.
His eyes were closed.
"JOSUKE?!" I started to shake his limp body.
The bike started to swerve towards the opposite lane. Shit. I pushed my chest against his back and tried to reach the handlebar to steer back into the right lane. I looked down the bike, seeing nothing but the two wheels. Where are the breaks?!
"JOSUKE!" I yelled as I shook his body with my left hand, keeping my right hand on the steering bar. "YOU HAVE TO WAKE UP! I DON'T KNOW HOW TO STOP THIS THING!"
No response.
The bike started to speed up. His foot was still on the gas pedal.
My heartbeat started to race. Each second the situation started to get more dire and dire, putting both of our lives in danger.
Suddenly, I noticed something coming up the road, a massive pothole. I checked on the speedometer.
140 km. If we hit that pothole, the two of us will die.
"JOSUKE! WAKE UP! PLEASE!" I begged.
But it was too late. The bike hit the pothole, throwing us both 3 meters in the air.
"Iron Maiden!"
I grabbed Josuke's back and created a bubble-like shield surrounding the two of us. We were thrown across the street and we tumbled down the hill until we were stopped by the trunk of a tree.
Even though I protected the two of us just in time before the bike hit the pothole, we were thrown off at an incredible speed, leaving my entire body achy as hell.
I looked down at my friend, who was still in my arms unconscious. I started to shake his body violently. "Josuke! Can you hear me? Wake up dummy!"
No response
I placed his body against the pine tree and sat him up. I took off my gloves and felt his neck, checking for his vital signs. He's still breathing. And his pulse is normal. Thank god. I wrapped my arms around his waist and held him close. I don't even want to think about what would happen if I lost him.
Why did he faint? No, how could he faint while going 100km per hour?! Unless, we are being attacked by a stand user!
I swiftly looked around. The only thing surrounding us were hundreds of trees.
Where the hell are we?
I attempted to stand up, only for one of my feet to give up on me and fall back onto the ground in pain. I pulled my leg up, took off my boot and sock to reveal a large black and dark blue bruise covering my ankle. Damnit. It's probably sprained.
I looked back at Josuke, still sleeping soundly. He's too heavy to carry, and even if I lift him up with my stand, I don't think I can walk that far.
I looked up to see white flutters starting to fall from the sky.
It's snowing, I can't walk, Josuke is unconscious, and we may or may not be under attack by another stand user.
What should I do?
I thought about it for a moment. The best thing to do right now is to wait for the storm to end. Maybe after, I can crawl somewhere to get help.
I snuggled next to Josuke and wrapped the scarf I was wearing around the two of us. I summoned Iron Maiden once more and formed a shield above us, protecting us from the snow. We sat quietly against the tree in the snowstorm.
The snowstorm started to pick up as what felt like an hour passed. I used my hand to check his neck for his vital signs again. Although his neck felt cold, his heartbeat felt normal. "I'm sorry if this makes you uncomfortable," I said, knowing well that he couldn't hear me. I lifted his shirt and brushed my hand on his toned chest, feeling his temperature near his heart . He's ice-cold. I know he cares about his looks, but why the hell didn't he wear a coat?! I stripped off my coat, wrapped it around him and buttoned the first top button to the best of my abilities. My fingers were starting to feel numb with every move I made.
Each minute that passed I could feel my eyelid drooping down and my eyelashes fluttering.
No! I can't fall asleep. If I fall asleep we'll both die out here!
I sigh and laid my back on the tree and looked at my unconscious friend. "Josuke, to be honest, I'm scared, really scared. I know this wasn't your plan, but I promise we'll get out of this storm together, ok?" I pulled his body close to my chest and held him.
Suddenly, Josuke's body started to pull away from me, as if a magnet was taking him away. I lost my grip on him as he flew towards the top of the hill.
His limp body was then in the hand of a man wearing a black trench coat, a black medical mask, black boots and black straight hair. He held him up as if Josuke was a doll.
"It took me forever to find him, but finally," The man said. "I'll be taking him from you."
Oh no.
He's the stand user that attacked us.
