When he returned Inuyasha was standing over a grave, shirtless. Sesshomaru could see the ageing. Inuyasha was looking closer to his forties now.

"You left her," Inuyasha said without looking at him.

"I was only gone for a few hours,"

Inuyasha turned and glared at him. "Just admit you could not bury her, that it was too hard for you," He snapped. "Or beneath you," He sneered,

"Watch it, Inuyasha,"

"Oh, now you want to admit you care; a lot of good it does, she dead!"

Sesshomaru punched him, sending him to the ground. "Do you not think I am aware of this situation, half-breed?"

Inuyasha wiped the blood from his lips,

"I need Tessaiga,"

"Are you serious right now!"

"It is for her,"

"K, what can it do for her," He looked away,

"I need it to slay the demons,"

"What demons?"

It took a second, and Inuyasha jumped up. "No way,"

"Indeed,"

"Can, can you do that?"

"I will try,"

"What if you die?"

"Then I simply die,"

"This is crazy," But Inuyasha held out the sword. They both looked at it.

"I wont be gone long," Sesshomaru said, slowly reaching out to touch it, to take it.

The sword did not rebuke him.

With this, they truly had a chance.

"Now, what, how does it work?"

"First, I will talk to Kagome,"

"What, you know what, I dont wanna know. It's got something to do with your crazy mom, doesn't it,"

Inuyasha threw his hands up as he started to walk away. "I want my sword back when you're done; I ain't giving it to you!"

Sesshomaru smirked and took to his mother's domain once again.

She was waiting.

"That was fast. Did you kill him?"

Sesshomaru glared at her and did not answer her.

She picked up the heavy necklace from around her neck. "Do not stay too long, or you will not be able to come out, and it will be for nothing,"

He had done this before for Rin.

"Look for her and no one else,"

He looked at the necklace, ready. His mother looked over him for a moment, and his eyes met her. "Do you worry for your son now, mother?"

She wasn't amused with his teasing, but in truth, she did worry.

The portal opened once more, and without hesitation, Sesshomaru went. His mother turned the necklace and watched.

Finding her was easy yet hard. He walked up to her. Her back was to him. She wore a white kimono with golden stitched clouds and beads. Her hair was long, running down her back and pooling around the green grass. His eyes moved at the sound of laughter. A child, a demon child with a moon on his head, was swinging.

The child saw him, and that drew Kagome's eyes to him and his to hers.

There in her arms was another baby, a demon, sleeping.

Sesshomaru could not believe it.

"There you are," She said, her voice echoing.

She looked down at the baby, rocking it, and then looked back to the other child as if he wasn't even there anymore.

"Kagome,"

She didn't answer. Then he felt a hand on his shoulder; his father now stood next to him. "You are confused,"

"Hn," This was all baffling.

"This, Sesshomaru, is her heaven,"

It was her children, at least the ones she had in her heart, the ones he never gave her.

Sesshomaru wanted to sit next to her and never leave.

"You can't, son. You do not belong here, and neither do I; demons do not belong in heaven, we dont have a lot of time,"

Sesshomaru nodded, and his father faded away, and he wondered if he was truly ever there.
