INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - DAY

Pelswick is walking down the hallway when he sees Sandra Scoddle's locker. He stops and stares at the name tag: "Sandra Scoddle".

PELSWICK

(to himself)

Wait a minute... Scoddle? I've been spelling it Scottle all these years...

Sandra approaches him, noticing his confusion.

SANDRA

(amused)

Ah, Pelswick, you finally realized your mistake?

PELSWICK

(sheepishly)

Yeah... I've been spelling it wrong for years...

SANDRA

(serious)

You know, Pelswick, that's part of the problem. Assuming things without bothering to check. It's disrespectful.

PELSWICK

(defensively)

Hey, I didn't mean to... I just made a mistake...

SANDRA

(firmly)

A mistake that perpetuates ignorance and marginalization. You need to do better, Pelswick.

Pelswick looks taken aback, unsure of how to respond.

PELSWICK

(confused)

I... I don't know what to say...

SANDRA

(softening)

Just be more mindful in the future, okay?

Sandra walks away, leaving Pelswick looking confused and concerned.

FADE OUT.

THE END.
