Hello there! New story, man its been like a year since I last updated or created a story on here, this is pretty much based around the idea of superman being in the invincible universe.
I originally thought about this when I heard the guy who created invincible was pretty much talking crap about superman and even the hulk, arguing invincible could pretty much destroy the two characters which was funny to me considering how OP the two characters are from what I understand.
Follow if you enjoy, I'm not all that familiar with the comics for superman, I am however familiar with the death battle video's involving him.
But if you've got a comic that'll be a great introduction to the character that'd be great! Would help immensely in my writing not ashamed to enjoy a comic or two even as a grown man.
Anyways, apologies for wasting time.
Enjoy!
"I'm going! be sure to pick up mark before you head off!" His wife Debbie yelled from the door as she quickly shut it behind her in a hurry.
Not bothering to answer he merely lazily walked over to the fridge and began scanning for something edible to eat, he wasn't picky being a Viltrumite soldier entailed being forced to eat certain things better left unmentioned, but since coming to earth and the relaxing nature of the people despite being very oddly anatomically similar to Viltrumites despite being almost infinite weaker in comparison had led to him developing taste for the finer foods especially when traveling the world via flight.
*Clank*
A metal clank echoed dully throughout the house, causing him to pause and grimace grabbing a wine bottle and walking toward the garage where the laundry was generally cleaned, flicking on the lights while popping the lid off with a finger and taking a swig, he stood over the rug which held the most unique and frankly most dangerous alien he'd ever met.
Tugging the rug aside, he unlatched the lock from the secret hole in the floor and pulled the small metal door aside observing the small hunched over form of a child with bright almost glowing blue eyes and black hair, aside from that the child was unusually muscular that set him apart from your average 7-year-old.
"How's it going down there buddy? You feeling any weaker these days?" He questioned with a bright smile which usually and commonly disarmed people as the child perked up hearing his voice clearly having expected to stay down there a good while longer.
Scrambling to his feet, the child shakily floated to the air exiting the small hole in the ground, his body looking visibly weaker than it had a few days ago with no access to food or the sun to fuel his absurd bodily growth.
"Y-yeah! My throat itches and I can't stop shaking." He stuttered visibly trembling while holding his arms close to his chest.
"Good news kiddo! Our little experiment is over, so guess what we're going to take a trip to the sun and get you up and functioning again, can't have your mother figuring out our little experiment after all." He chuckled slightly, not caring in the slightest if Debbie found out, after all this experimentation was 'consensual' and he had no doubt his son would defend him if it was ever discovered.
"You've got some really powerful abilities after all you don't want people getting hurt, do you?" He asked with a smile, while noting the side effects sun and food deprivation caused in whatever species he was and remembering this in case he met any adult members of his kind so he could realistically fight and kill them in direct combat after all there were many deserted worlds without a sun. "Especially if we keep up these weekly trips to the sun, you're getting bigger and stronger every day!" He said while staring at his physique his lips slowly dipping downward into a frown.
The child was pretty obviously putting on more and more muscle mass the longer he stayed in the sun, his bones lengthening and thickening as his body was reforged with every visit to the sun, coupled with what he'd seen him doing in space holding his breath for longer periods of time than most grown viltrumites could for months at a time as they played catch in space and did mock tests on what countries were which from outer space.
He at first had no idea how to raise the alien child, and had honestly assumed he'd die off pretty quickly without any means of consuming creatures from his home planet, as some alien species could only ingest certain foods, but he'd quickly learned that the fastest way to feed the child without bothering to figure out any real diet plan was by leaving him stranded close to the sun for a few weeks and coming back to find him floating around lazily just staring at the big blue planet without the slightest indication that he were starving or thirsty.
Honestly, though he wouldn't admit it the kid was growing on him, and he could realistically see him becoming apart of the viltrumite empire if he sired a few offspring with the more than willing female members of his kind.
However, that extremely dependent on his cooperation and physical abilities, Viltrumites almost exclusively only respected those who were strong, and though it was virtually unheard of for a member of a different species to be offered an 'equal' partnership relationship, without the Viltrumites having the relationship skewed rather heavily in their favor, it also wasn't impossible considering his absurd abilities and the argument that they had no idea whether or not he was the last of his kind or not, so it was a possibility.
"Alright kiddo, time to get you to your kindergarten class, we're already late and I doubt your mom will appreciate you missing school." He said kindly with a smile.
"Ok!" The child slowly began to float out of the hole in the floor, visibly slower than he likely should've been. "Can you ask mom if we can get some ice cream after school?" He asked landing on the floor and peering up at the man he called a father with a smile.
"I'll see what I can do kiddo, just remember to be good at school and don't start problems by using your abilities." He warned, he knew the temperament of the child and while he wasn't nearly as aggressive as say a full blooded Viltrumite child who knew he was stronger than the other children and most of the adults, he made sure the little alien knew not to cause problems for himself in order to maintain some level of normalcy.
"Ok!"
"I'll meet you in the car, I just need to grab something." He said, causing the child to nod and dash off, a loud crash resounding through the house causing him to frown.
"What was that!?" He yelled over the sound of feet scrambling across the floor.
"NOTHING!" The little alien yelled back nervously.
Sighing, he slowly walked over to a tool desk in the garage, grabbing a small black box made entirely of solid led and tucked it under his arm with a grumble as he made his way over to the garage button and pressed it, not wanting to see or look at the damage his son had done to the house.
Once the mouth of the garage was fully open, he allowed himself one last sigh, closing his eyes briefly, the little alien could change a lot of things when the time was right to take over the planet, if the child grew attached to the planet he could pose a problem, and nothing made a Viltrumite more annoyed during a mission than a problem.
If it weren't for the fact that debbie his wife and his other son knew the child existed, he'd very easily consider the possibly of simply killing the little alien due to its downright terrifying potential for combat in the future.
Either way things were changing from the future he envisioned with his son, the scorched earth brutal takeover plan, may need to be somewhat retconned a little just to squeeze in the abnormally strong alien in the mix.
Perhaps, a less alarming approach was in order.
