At sunset, both armies had arrived. Mary, Finella, and Sil stayed in the cart.

Maol, Kenneth, Findlaech, and Bodhe were all going to fight. They were all on their horses. Bodhe and Sil had a glance at one another. Sil also had his dagger out, ready for a fight if he was going to help keep the ladies and the Grimorum protected too.

It was time for the battle to start.

"For Scotland! Death to the tyrant!" The Grim's people shouted.

"For the king! Death to the Grim!" Constantine's army yelled out.

The two sides ran and clashed together on foot and on horseback. Sil was also watching, and he saw Bodhe ride into battle too. He went up against Gillcomgain. The kids fought just like the adult men.

Sil watched as Bodhe was thrown from his horse soon after. "Bodhe!" He called out and wanted to help him, but Mary held his robe. "NO! You will stay here, young one!" She ordered. "It was Brooklyn's order you stay with us."

"You're right. Just want to help him." Sil said.

"I know, but the battle must go as it is." Mary stated.

Kenneth and Constantine were soon fighting each other with their swords too. Constantine exclaimed to Kenneth while fighting, "Your army is outflanked, Traitor!"

"And yet, the sun has set on your reign, Tyrant!" Kenneth retorted fiercely.

It wasn't long after the sun set and got darker that there were sudden roars from the sky. There were white and red eyes glowing on the winged figures from above. Brooklyn had done it! He had amassed a gargoyle backup army! Angel was near him. For Sil, he had never seen so many gargoyles before.

Brooklyn wielded his sword that he had gotten when he first got there in that time period. It would now be useful in fighting in this army.

From the cart, young Sil was amazed at the amount of gargoyles that were helping to reign down on the evil king's army. He tried to spot Brooklyn. He saw him better as he got closer. Wow! He was a second in command at home. Now he was like a true leader leading his clan into battle like Goliath had done many times in the past.

Here, there was no time to be restless and bored. There was always something to do it seemed, at least when wars were going on.

The gargoyles attacked the humans who wore the king's colors. Bronx's parents attacked from the ground, along with other gar dogs.

Brooklyn was also fighting alongside his one biological brother, not that they knew they were brothers. Angel picked up a man off his horse and snapped his neck in the air. Another male beside her commented enthusiastically, "A true battle! This is what our scattered clan needed!"

Down on the ground, Finella was finding the spell. "I'm starting to see it, Mary and Sil, the spell! I'm-."

Then there was a man who said the same words from before. "SAETH!"

Some magical arrows were starting to assemble from the ground, but they disappeared quickly enough. It had been said by an immature.

"Milady!" Mary called out in shock.

Above, the same male gargoyle said, "There was much wisdom in your decision to follow the Gargoyle with the Sword."

"More than you know." Angel smirked. She was about to admit her plan. "For when the fighting is over and Constantine lies dead, we will dispatch the Grim and his battle-weary forces ourselves… leaving the fate of Scotland to me!"

Down on the cart, Valmont attacked the cart, and he said the same line as Angel. He had snuck up beside the cart and grabbed the book from Finella's hands.

"The Grimorum is finally mine!" He exclaimed smugly. "The Grim and Constantine both will fall! And Scotland's fate will be mine!"

"Hey!" Finella shouted.

"Not if I have anything to say about it!" Sil stood at the ready to take on the big man before them. He had his dagger ready for a fight.

"Huh?" The man was too proud to be grabbing the book and then he got slammed by a young Skeksis with his tail to the face, knocking him to the ground. It was a good whiplash to the face. He still had the book in his hand though.

"Take that, you tyrant!" Sil shouted.

"We must get the book away from him!" Mary shouted.

"You'll regret doing that, Monster!" Valmont retorted from the ground, holding the book. "For I have one of the three keys to the rise of power! The first one!"

Sil then hurriedly got off the cart and went to face the man. "You won't get far with that book, Tyrant!" He had his dagger ready.

"What are you going to do about it, Brat?!" Valmont exclaimed.

Sil had never been called that before, but it angered him. "Come and face me, if you have the guts!"

"Hah! I can take you down anytime, Brat!" Valmont sneered and went for his sword while holding the book.

"Sil, no!" Mary cried out.

Valmont ran at Sil, and their weapon metals met. Sil had his teeth bared angrily and he used all the strength that he could into fighting the man. He also used his agility to outsmart him. He also used every part of his fighting style that he had learned to beat the man.

Sil used a trip of his legs and a slash of his dagger to his back. But there was a spell that had been summoned and there were still problems rising. The man also rolled away from the Skeksis and went to go summon another spell. Sil lost track of him, but he also saw Bodhe fighting Gillcomgain and went to go help him.

When Bodhe was down, Sil came in contact with Gillcomgain too. But it wasn't easy fighting him either. But he was able to defeat him. He eventually knocked him out with a hit to the head from his tail.

Bodhe was grateful to the little Skeksis that he had saved him. "Thank you, Chamberlain." He smiled at him.

"We friends got to stick together." Sil smiled back.

In the sky, Brooklyn was thinking and fighting at the same time. He knew that Broadway and Angela were thinking if he and Sil would ever return to Manhattan their time. But for right now, he had to keep his mind in the fight. He knew that Demona would likely be planning to betray them all, to destroy the humans. He also knew that he had to keep the Grimorum safe. Sil was also doing that. He was also worried about bringing the last clan of Scotland out of hiding to face Constantine and their numbers, if they would win this battle. He had to help the Grim. He had also hated to make a deal with Demona/Angel.

She complimented him on his fighting skills. "You fight well, young warrior."

"Well, I had a good teacher before now. Goliath." Brooklyn said.

She got jealous of him saying that. Like she hadn't taught him anything? "Of course, but there is one lesson that I would not have you learn from my mate, trust not the humans as Goliath did, for when they are done killing each other, they will turn their attentions to the slaughter of our kind!" Angel proclaimed. "It is their very nature!"

Brooklyn didn't want to believe that the side he was on would do that to them. He kept on fighting.

Constantine and Kenneth were still fighting. The evil one thought he would destroy the gargoyles, or they would turn on them.

Everyone was ready for the battle to be done. It was hard to take out Constantine. But soon, there was a mysterious rain of magical fire arrows that rained down from the skies.

The arrows had been summoned by Valmont. Finella knew what it meant. This was trouble and many gargoyles in the sky got shot by the arrows if they didn't know how to dodge them.

Brooklyn and Angel saw it and were instantly concerned. Brook was really worried for Sil too.

On the ground, Mary and Finella took shelter under their cart to save themselves but sadly lost Magus, their horse. Sil saw the arrows too and he found a dead man's shield and covered himself with it. It saved him.

Brooklyn and Angel knew they had to get the book and she had to stop this. They eventually confronted Valmont and stopped him. Brooklyn had even thrown a knife down and sliced off Valmont's right hand. Demona then quickly grabbed the book and did a counter spell to save everyone. The arrows stopped.

Some brothers lost brothers in the fight too. Brigti was killed by the arrows as well and Gillcomgain took that hard when he found out later.

Kenneth also eventually defeated and killed Constantine. His evil reign was over.

When the arrows stopped falling after Demona stopped them, the war was mostly over. The clan began regrouping and gathering their wounded and dead ones. Sil came out from under his shield as did Mary and Finella from under the cart. Sil returned to their side.

"Are you alright?" Mary asked.

"Yes. I'm fine. I helped defeat some real warriors this day." Sil declared proudly.

"We saw that. You have much skills, little one." Finella complimented him. "And here we thought you were just a child that couldn't fight on your own."

"I was taught to fight before me, and Brooklyn ever came here." Sil stated.

Brooklyn and Demona were coming over to them. Brooklyn was starting to feel a vibration in his pouch. "Sil, get over with me, quickly!" Brooklyn shouted. "We're about to leave!"

Sil heard that and quickly got over to Brooklyn. The two women didn't want to stay here without them. They followed over too.

"Wait! You can't leave us here. We want to come with you two." Mary declared.

"You guys really don't know what you're saying. We don't know where we're going next." Brooklyn said. "And we need the book."

"What for?" Angel asked.

"We need it to know how to navigate the Gate's powers." Sil blurted out.

"Okay, very well. Do you know the translations and spells?" She asked.

"Yes." Sil replied, lying. Angel saw him as a little gargoyle too.

"But I've never seen a young gargoyle like you before." Angel stated.

"I'm not-." Sil started but Brook bumped him. "Go with it." He said. "Oh yes, well, just been in hiding too."

"Alright." Angel handed it over to Sil who handed it to Finella.

"We fail to protect the book here, Brooklyn. We want to go with you on your next trip." Mary said.

It was decided then that the two women would travel with Brooklyn and Sil to their next destination. The Phoenix flames then burst forth and surrounded them, taking the passengers away.

Everyone that saw it was amazed. Now Mary and Finella would be out of danger from this timestream.

This adventure now marked a good many adventures though for both Brooklyn and young Sil. This was just their first one. Things could only fulfill their roles in the timestream from there.

Sorry if anything seemed too rushed.
