She got to the top of the ladder and stood on top of the mounting block, at the side of the balcony. She already began readying herself to jump.

She heard the thunder of the horses hoofs. This always excited her. They grew louder and louder. Some horses slowed down as they got towered the top and halted before taking the jump. This was one of the horses that got faster and jumped off right away. That meant she would have to be quick with her jump.

As the horse got closer she sucked her lips in and put her hands out to grab the handles of the horses surgical. They got closer and closer. She felt them, grabbed hold of them and pulled herself up. The cheers and clapping began and the horse leaped into the air. She landed on the horses back and closed her eyes.

She tightened her grip on the handles. She felt herself, not falling but, flying through the air. She listened to hear the cheers of the crowed, which she loved.

The horse got out of the water and the groom clipped a lead rope onto him. She dismounted, ran up to the cheering crowd and bowed.

The horse stood by the diving board, anxiously waiting for the groom to unclip his lead rope. He gave a small tug. He was very impatient.

Eventually, he was set free. He instantly began to canter up the steep ramp. As he got nearer and nearer, he got faster. He just couldn't wait.

He got to the diving board and jumped off, hitting the board with his front hoofs, then spread his lags out. He heard the cheers and felt the girl jump onto his back. He tilted his head up as he flew, not fell, into the water.

He landed, with a huge splash, into the pool of cold water. Keeping his head out of the water, he swam to the shore. He was sad that it was all over.

The groom clipped a lead rope onto him as he got out of the pool. The girl jumped off of him and he was lead away to be dried off.

A women sat in the crowed and watched the diving show. A horse ran up a ramp, a girl jumped on his back and the horse jumped off the diving board. She wondered how they got the horse to jump off the diving board. Was there some sort of electric shock?

After the show, she found the owner. "Mr. Carver" she said, rudely. "How did you get that horse to dive off of the diving board?"

He smiled at her. "Out of his own free will, miss. The horses like it."

"Really?"

"Yes, really. You see, I used to work at a Wild West show. There was as stunt where a bridge would collapse and me and my horse would fall to the ground. I had felt kind of bad for scaring the horse, but then I realized that not all of the horses were scared by this. Once, after the bridge collapsed, the horse I had road went back up onto the bridge and wanted to do it again. That's how got the idea of a horse diving show.

Like the collapsing bridge, some of the horses were scared after diving. Those horses were sold to new homes. We only use the horses who like it."
