Chapter 1: Genesis
"My name is Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots…what is left of them. Thousands of years ago, we fled Cybertron, as our home planet could no longer sustain life due to our seemingly endless war against our foes, the Decepticons. For centuries, we have journeyed across the stars in hopes of finding a new world to call home. However, in our quest, we have consistently been reuniting with our old foes…and with new ones…"
On an unnamed planet, far out into the reaches of space, the Autobots fought in an epic battle against enemies of theirs who were not of Decepticon origin, but rather, they were a different faction known as the Star Seekers, a group of revenge-fueled Cybertronian haters led by their malicious captain, Thundertron, a large, bearded, hulking bot who bore great resemblance to a common pirate, having an eye patch, a hook hand, and even a peg leg as well. Despite the Autobots' great skill and experience, Thundertron and his army of space pirates bore down on them with no mercy. It was more than obvious that this fight could go either way…
"Come on, I'll scrap all of you!", the former Autobot Wrecker, Bulkhead yelled as he punched the Star Seeker, Road Pig away with his wrecking ball. However, just as he punched Road Pig away, he was attacked by another Star Seeker named Nautilator, a Transformer who was capable of turning into a large lobster monster.
"Why don't you pick on someone your own size, Autobot?", Nautilaor taunted in his raspy voice, which also sounded almost as if he was gurgling underwater.
"Glady…", Bulkhead gritted his teeth as he engaged in battle against the Star Seeker.
Meanwhile, fellow Autobots, Ironhide and Warpath fought beside each other, blasting Star Seekers with their cannons left and right.
"Come on, now I know you all are stronger than that! Ka-blam!", Warpath shouted as he fired his missile at a few of their attackers.
"Hey, Warpath, how about less talkin' and more shootin'?!", Ironhide yelled in his usual, no-nonsense demeanor.
"You're just jealous 'cause you can't do both!", Warpath replied in smart-ass manner as another Star Seeker named Seawing snuck up on him from behind.
Before either Warpath or Seawing could react, Ironhide shot Seawing down with one of his cannons. "There is no way to do both, kid", he said to Warpath. "And you're welcome".
"Ha! Thanks for the save, grandpa".
Also taking part in the battle was Autobot police officer, Prowl, who was fighting against a female, purple-colored Star Seeker called Filch, who after getting tired of fighting, transformed into her falcon mode and flew up from Prowl to taunt him.
"Can't catch me now, Autobot!", Filch squawked.
Prowl, being a police officer known for his efficiency and not tolerating anyone who disrespected the law, simply raised up his gun and shot Filch down in a rather comical way. Turns out he was able to catch her after all.
"Heh, oldest trick in the book", Prowl smirked.
Prowl then noticed as he heard the sound of one of his friends getting pulverized by a Star Seeker. Looking over, he saw that the Autobot medical officer, Ratchet was getting beaten down by large, creepy looking Star Seeker coated in orange, known as Rampage.
"Ratchet!", Prowl yelled as he rushed to save him.
Before Prowl could do anything, however, he ended up being attacked by Cannonball, who he was forced to battle with instead.
"I had hoped for more of a challenge, but I guess ripping your spark out will have to do", Rampage said as he raised up is claw.
Just then, both Ratchet and Rampage heard the sound of a vehicle honking its unmistakenly loud horn. Ratchet smiled, as he knew that sound of that horn anywhere. That's right, this was none other than the big bot himself, Optimus Prime! Before Rampage could even think, Optimus came rushing in in his vehicle mode, where he rammed straight into him, knocking him off of Ratchet and sending him flying!
"Ratchet, are you alright?", Optimus asked as he transformed into his robot mode to assist him.
"I'll survive…", Ratchet said with a slight smile in his somewhat raspy voice. Ratchet may not have been the strongest Autobot, but like Ironhide, he had been through a lot, so getting a beat down from an opponent was nothing he couldn't handle at this point.
"You robbed me of my rightful kill!", Rampage yelled as he displayed his claws to Optimus.
"Bumblebee, now!", Optimus ordered.
With this, Bumblebee rushed onto the battlefield, driving off a somewhat high ledge, transforming into his robot mode, and shot Rampage straight in his face, taking him out of the fight!
Upon facing Optimus, Bumblebee communicated to him via his usual bleeps and bloops, not being able to speak to due him having lost his voice box long ago.
"Excellent strategy, Bumblebee!", Optimus congratulated him.
Bumblebee then gave some happy bleeps in response.
"Bee, you know as well as the rest of us by now, that it is too dangerous to stay here now, not with our limited number being susceptible to both the Decepticons and the Star Seekers", Optimus Prime said. "However, we believe we have found a planet with enough resources for us to survive. Ratchet…"
Entering the conversation, Ratchet used his forearm to display a small hologram of a planet. "During the War for Cybertron, we discovered that Shockwave had been taking notes on a small planet known as Earth. While it may not have the obvious technological advances we had on Cybertron, or even other worlds, this planet is rich with Energon and should have enough resources for us in order to establish a base of operation with the native life forms".
"Bumblebee, you are undoubtedly one of our most accomplished scouts to have aided the Autobot case. As such, I feel you have earned the responsibility of establishing our new place to call home", Optimus explained. Ratchet also gave a look that indicated he agreed with Optimus.
After giving a couple confident bleeps, Bumblebee shook Optimus' hand, indicating that he would be up to the task.
Just then, the three of them noticed that Thundertron and his Star Seekers began firing upon them, followed by Ironhide joining the trio.
"While I'll always be as big on camaraderie as the next bot, I should point out that we are in the middle of a battlefield here", Ironhide said as he fired back at the Star Seekers with his cannons.
"Bumblebee, get to the escape pods!", Optimus Prime ordered.
Nodding his head, Bumblebee obeyed and ran towards the pods as fast as he possibly could.
"Good luck soldier! We'll buy you some time!", Optimus said as he, Ratchet, and Ironhide charged at their attackers.
On a perch high up, Thundertron stood menacingly as he watched the battle take place with his one working eye. Taking notice to Optimus Prime, Thundertron raised his hand into the air. Once he did, Filch, who was now back in the fight, flew to Thundertron, who then grabbed him and flew him into the air.
"Now, drop me, ye scallywag", Thundertron commanded once he was close enough to Optimus.
Then, suddenly, Thundertron dropped down to Optimus Prime, where he punched the Autobot leader in the face, sending him back a bit.
"Thundertron…", Optimus Prime sneered.
"Now, to add a Prime to me collection", Thundertron said in his pirate-like accent before him and Optimus charged at each other, as Thundertron's sword collided with Optimus Prime's blade which was swapped out for his hand.
As for Bumblebee, the Autobot scout boarded one of the escape pods, where he set the coordinates to the same ones provided to him by Ratchet. With the pod taking off, Bumblebee took one last look at the battlefield, where he watched as Optimus Prime and Thundertron were deep in an epic throwdown, where Optimus punched Thundertron away from him and Thundertron punched back. Despite having escaped the battle and having to focus on his new mission, Bumblebee could not help but look on with worry as the fate of his friend and leader was called into question, and soon enough the escape pod flew far enough to where both the battle and even the planet he was once on had faded away.
Back with the battle, Optimus took a moment to look on as Bumblebee left, placing full faith in his scout. His distraction ended up being the reason Thundertron was able to secure another hit on him. Soon enough, Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Prowl, Bulkhead, Ratchet, and Warpath were all backed against each other with the Star Seeker army surrounding them.
"I will have their heads, or I will have ye sparks!", Thundertron commanded as he pointed his hook hand at the Autobots.
With this, the Star Seekers all rushed the Autobots at the same time, and both Optimus Prime and his team knew they were going to need to give it their all if they were to win or escape this fight.
Eventually, for Bumblebee, the Autobot scout had finally reached his destination, where he landed on planet Earth in the year 2004…
