Chapter 6: Day:

Lou's POV:

Everyone was looking at Gagan, but then we found him... he's staying at a hotel. "Finally, I can sleep like a normal person," says Gagan, "I can't wait to have breakfast again!"

"Gagan," I said, "you and I have a score to settle!"

"Can't it wait til morning," says Gagan, "oh wait, you can't!"

"Gagan, this sword can cure us both," I said, "if we use it to cut ourselves, then we can both be free and be able to walk in the morning again!"

"Or I could just let you suffer the way I did," says Gagan, "I know you were just trying to defend yourself, but you still could've found a way to save me! I was just under the shield's control, but did that matter to you?"

I then thought about it. "You're right," I said, "it wasn't fair to leave you in that state. I know what I did was wrong... but does my family have to be punished? My late wife, Trixie, my current wife, Kylie, my sons my daughter-in-laws, my Grandkids, all of my family. Do they have to deal with only seeing me half the day?"

Gagan then thinks. He then looks at himself in a mirror. "The sun could rise any moment," says Gagan, "we might as well get this over with."

We then both used the sword to cut ourselves and then the sun has risen up, and we're fine. "Thank you," I said, "and I'm really sorry."

"Well, you better get back to your family," says Gagan.

"Hey, Gagan, when was the last time you celebrated Republic Day?"

. . .

We then joined the Baker-DeVille Family for their Republic Day celebration. I made a lot of enemies, but maybe I should start focusing on the friends as well.
