Chapter 3: Buster:
Susie's POV:
We were decorating for Kwanzaa. I hung the mask on the wall, I was standing on a chair, but there's something about that mask.
"Hey, did someone say my name," asks Buster.
"I don't think so," says Lisa.
"I didn't," says Edwin.
"Not me," I said.
. . .
The Pickles came over. "Is that the mask," asks Tommy.
"Yep," I said.
"It kind of looks like a Zim," says Dil.
"Maybe that's why it creeps me out," I said.
"You know, I was in Africa," says Tommy and Dil's Grandpa, then he sees the mask. "Where have I seen that before?"
Buster's POV:
I was asked to get dinner started again. "Buster!"
"Huhh," I asked.
"Put me on!"
"Who says that," I asked.
"Things have changed for the worse! Put me on! I just want to go back to the old ways! Help me, Buster!"
I then tried to ignore it.
Susie's POV:
"I'm telling you, there's something weird about that mask," I said.
"You may not like that mask," says Grandaunt T, "but I think it really brings in some culture!"
"Hey Susie," says Tommy, "where did you say it came from again?"
"Mack Stuckburger," I said.
"Yeah, there can't be anything good about that mask," says Dil.
To Be Continued
In the next chapter, the mask starts taking control of Buster.
