Detective Zoe Lee knew is was a mistake. But looking down at the crying face of the newly widowed Marinette Agreste, she knew she was going to make a mistake. She shouldn't, the widow was always a suspect in a homicide. The widow blinked away the tears and was looking at her in wonder. Zoe realized the longing on her face must show. The widow parted her lips slightly, all the invitation that the Detective needed to smash their lips together and…

"Wait, hold up a moment." A voice came from the floor.

Zoe groaned in frustration as her character slipped and she felt her girlfriend press her head to her chest. She looked down at the 'dead' body of Adrien Agreste who sat up in his chalk outline.

"What is it, Mr. Agreste?" The director asked as he approached them.

"I get that Marinette is going to move on after my 'death' with Zoe and you want their relationship to be the basis of this entire franchise. But her 'husband' wasn't even cold on the ground yet and they just start making out? Who is going to believe that?"

Zoe groaned again; Adrien was right of course. Marinette Dupain-Cheng sighed and got off her lap. Zoe hated losing the warmth of her partner's touch.

"Well, I guess we can move this scene to later in the movie." The director admitted. "Can we get back in character now?"

Marinette reached over and picked up the prop gun and pointed it at Adrien and spoke. "Bang, bang."

Adrien clutched his chest. "Murdered again, this time by my 'widow'. This world sure is cruel." And fell perfectly inside the chalk outlines.

Zoe rolled her eyes as Marinette returned the prop to its evidence bag. "You weren't supposed to murder him."

Marinette giggled and checked the cameras weren't rolling yet. "If it's to be with you, my love, I would cross any line."

Zoe shuddered and pulled Marinette against her. "You'll never have to."

They shared one last deep and passionate kiss before Zoe once more became the perky investigator and Marinette the devoted widow.

From his place on the floor, Adrien risked a smile as the girls went back to their roles. He was getting out of acting anyways, hence using his real name. He hoped Zoe and Marinette would grace the silver screen for many years to come.

A/N: Just something that came to mind recently. Hope you enjoyed this little fic.
