Chapter 04: The Hyperactive Knucklehead Ninja and the Iron Dragon Slayer

Tenrou Island – End of the First Task

The Fairy Tail members were still struggling to register what had happened before them. Erza Scarlet, one of their strongest members, was defeated by an outsider.

"Ahem." Makarov cleared his throat. "Despite this unexpected occurrence, we must continue our S-Class Exam. Here are the results of the first trial."

"Cana and Lucy defeated Freed and Bickslow in combat. Nicely done, ladies." Makarov complimented while the two smiled.

"They beat Freed? How?!" Gray exclaimed.

"Levy and Gajeel chose the Serenity Route. Talk about lucky." Makarov said and Levy winked.

"Well, it's sucky!" Gajeel complained.

"Gray and Loke defeated Mest and Wendy in combat. Great job, boys."

"Elfman and Evergreen managed to get pass Mirajane thanks to some lucky interference." Elfman and Evergreen sweated a little.

Makarov looked over to Gildarts who nodded in response. "And finally, Natsu has managed to get past the mighty Gildarts."

"He did?!" Gray couldn't believe what he heard.

"Unfortunately, since they did not defeat Erza personally, Juvia and Lisanna are disqualified from the trial." Makarov said. "That being said, these battles have taught me a lesson. There are warriors that are stronger and younger than I am." Makarov looked at Yuya and Naruto.

Yuya's body glowed and his armor disappeared and Odd-Eyes appeared in front of everyone.

"Whoa, a dragon!" Happy exclaimed. This amazed everyone, especially Natsu and Gajeel.

"Odd-Eyes." Yuya looked at his dragon. "You're the best partner." Odd-Eyes lowered his head towards Yuya, allowing him to pet his dragon and the two touched heads. "I missed you too, buddy. Rest up." Yuya held up Odd-Eyes card and Odd-Eyes entered it.

Yuya then tumbled and started to fall back. "Whoa!" Naruto quickly caught Yuya and steadied himself. "You okay?"

"Still not used to all this fighting." Yuya admitted. His stomach then growled. "Man, I'm starving."

"Yeah, that's normal. Come on, let's get off this island and get something to eat." Naruto said.

"You may stay on this island. You have my permission." Mavis appeared again.

"Gah! Will you stop sneaking up on people!" Naruto yelped. "It's bad enough you're proof that ghosts are real."

"If the First Master permits it, then it's fine by me. Mira, can you be a dear and take these boys to our camp and make them some food?" Makarov asked.

"Sure thing. Right this way, Naruto." Mirajane gestured.

"Man, you're really light. When was the last time you ate, Yuya?" Naruto noticed how light Yuya was.

"You were there, remember." Yuya reminded Naruto.

Natsu looked as Yuya and Naruto walked away, they both defeated Erza and Mirajane, wizards that he wanted to defeat. He, then remembered Gildarts at his full power and how he surrendered. He was envious of those two, even though they were roughly his age, they were stronger than him.

"Natsu, Master is gonna explain the next trial." Happy said, but Natsu kept watching Yuya and Naruto. "Natsu?"

"I heard ya, Happy. Let's go." Natsu joined the others.

"To pass the next trial, you must locate the grave of our First Master, Mavis Vermillion. You have six hours to find it. Failure to find it within the time limit and you're disqualified." Makarov said. "Ready, begin!"

Tenrou Island – Makeshift Camp

Yuya sat on the edge of the camp looking out at the ocean with Odd-Eyes spirit next to him. "Looking at this reminds me of the bridge back home."

"Yes…" Odd-Eyes responded, but with a voice of melancholy. "It was actually the spot I picked to watch over the United World. Believe it or not, it was actually the center of everything."

"The world mourned for you. They created memorials in nearly every corner of every place, just for you." Odd-Eyes said.

"I owe them all an apology." Yuya said. "Especially my kids and wives…" Yuya thought of his beloveds and his children. "Did they move on?"

"No, they remained single and raised their kids the best they could." Odd-Eyes said. "You would be proud of them. Yumiko was top of her class when she graduated high school, chose a profession in medicine."

"Yukio, the kid's a genius. Able to construct, weld, build anything anyone could imagine. But he didn't like being restrained to a desk so he dropped out of school."

"Yusaku, he's a big computer whiz, and a top-notch Duelist. He was able to master almost all of the Summoning Methods. Well, technically he's mastered all of them, but…you know after Genesis."

"Yeah…" Yuya remembered. He destroyed Pendulum with his own hands. He erased it from history. "How about my little girl?"

"Yuka…such an angel, that one. She's growing up really fast. She kind of keeps the other three from going at each other's throats without even noticing. But it's been hard for her lately. Especially after…" Odd-Eyes sighed.

"Odd-Eyes…what happened when I was gone?" Yuya asked.

"Hell happened." Odd-Eyes answered. "It was just a regular day, and then out of nowhere, distortions among space and time started appearing. People started disappearing. The United World was breaking again. The other dragons and I tried to find the source, but…all of them…gone in an instant."

"I thought I was gonna vanish too…but the next thing I knew, I was in your deck." Odd-Eyes revealed. "I was really happy that you were still alive, but then I thought about the United World and everyone that was gone. I failed to keep our promise. I was ashamed of myself for being weak."

"You did everything you could, Odd-Eyes. Whatever happened, we'll figure it out, together." Yuya said.

"Heh, just like old times." Odd-Eyes smiled.

"Hey, is the food almost ready?" Yuya turned around at the camp, only to see Mirajane, Erza, Juvia and Lisanna blushing like crazy. "Whoa, you girls are red, might want to put on sunscreen."

"You're married?! And you have children?! But you're just 14!" Erza exclaimed.

"I'm actually 18. Wait…my kids are 16, so…wow, I'm 34." Yuya realized.

"Ha, you're an old man!" Naruto teased.

"This old man can still learn new tricks." Yuya glared. "And he's not afraid of ghosts."

"Hey, fear of ghosts is a rational fear!" Naruto argued. "Anyway, I'm starving. When do we eat?"

"Just a while longer and it'll be ready." Mirajane answered as she stirred the pot.

"Hey, what happened to Freed and Bickslow?" Lisanna asked.

"Apparently, them and Gildarts decided to head home." Erza answered.

"Geez, talk about impatient. They could've stayed until the end of the trials." Lisanna pouted.

"I'm more concerned about Mest and Wendy. Where are they?" Erza questioned.

"They should've been here by now." Mirajane said.

"I'll go look for them." Yuya stood up.

"But you don't know the island." Erza said.

Yuya activated his Duel Disk. "Entermate Discover Hippo. Entermate Spike Eagle. Entermate Odd-Eyes Light Phoenix. Entermate Silver Claw." Yuya summoned his Entermate Monsters.

"Spike Eagle. Light Phoenix. You two can search the sky. Discover Hippo. Silver Claw. You'll search with me on the ground. Find anything send up a signal." Yuya said. The animals nodded in agreement.

"Here's a picture of them." Mirajane showed a picture of Wendy and Mest. After glancing at it, the animals took off in different directions.

"Alright, I should get going too." Yuya started walking away.

"Here, take some food at least." Mirajane gave Yuya a bowl of soup.

"Thanks." Yuya took the bowl and headed into the island.

"Well, I'm not gonna wait any longer. I got some training to do." Naruto served himself a bowl of soup and chugged it.

"Oh, training. Then allow me to be your sparring partner." Erza offered.

"Won't be much training considering you lost to a guy with zero fighting experience." Naruto jumped away and went from tree to tree.

"The nerve of that guy…" Erza gritted her teeth in frustration. "I only lost because I was caught off guard by his fighting style."

"Either way, your rep is gonna take a big hit. Fairy Tail's strongest female wizard losses to an outsider. You would be the laughing stock of the whole country." Mirajane said happily.

"W-Well, what about you? You didn't win in your fight against whisker boy." Erza argued.

"His name is Naruto, and I didn't lose either. We came to a mutual understanding and earned each other's respect." Mirajane pointed out. "Sore loser."

"Grr…" Erza growled in frustration.

Tenrou Island – Jungle

"Hey, where's the First Master's Grave?!" Natsu interrogated a defeated monster.

"I…don't…know…" The monster moaned.

"Oh, that's cool." Natsu let the monster go.

"I can't believe he actually answered you!" Happy exclaimed.

"Man, how does Gramps expect us to find the grave without giving us clues." Natsu groaned.

"Gildarts wasn't lying when he said that Master is making things harder." Happy said.

"Hey, Happy." Natsu said. "Let's check out the island on top. Maybe we can get a view of the grave from up there!"

"Aye sir!" Happy saluted.

"You're still not strong enough."

Natsu and Happy stopped in their tracks when they heard a new voice. They turned around and saw a young man with black hair wearing black and white robes. "You still aren't strong enough to fulfill your destiny." The man said.

"Hey, who are you?" Natsu asked. "And what are you doing here?"

"My name is Zeref…as for why I'm here. I have a connection to Mavis Vermillion as well as you, Natsu." Zeref introduced himself.

"The first master?" Happy asked.

"You see, despite my appearance, I'm actually over 400 hundred years old. I was cursed to live a life of immortality. Some say that it would be a blessing to be immortal, but it's a punishment that's worse than death." Zeref said.

"What do you mean?" Natsu asked.

"Let me ask you something Natsu. What are you more afraid? Dying before meeting Igneel again? Or to continue living while those closest to you, like Happy and Lucy Heartfilia, die?" Zeref asked.

Natsu didn't say anything but he looked down and started thinking. "It's scary that I wouldn't get to meet Igneel ever again. But living without Happy or Lucy, that's…I don't…no, I can't live without them. They're more important to me than anything."

"Natsu." Happy smiled, touched by Natsu's words.

"So, you understand that there far worse things in the world than death." Zeref smiled. "That being said, you haven't reached your full potential. And you'll never reach it so long as you remain a part of Fairy Tail."

"Hey, what was that about Fairy Tail?" Natsu glared.

Tenrou Island Forest

"You think you can scare me!" Gajeel beat up another monster as Levy was getting more annoyed. "I don't get the point of this stupid trial. How does picking a route for finding a grave proof your strength to anyone?!"

"Will you shut up!" Levy shouted.

"The only reason I came here so I could beat Erza or Salamander. Not waste my time with monsters."

"So, you didn't come to help me become an S-Class Wizard?" Levy glared.

"The only good thing that came out from coming here was seeing that Yuya guy beat Erza and having a dragon with him. Lucky bastard." Gajeel growled as he remembered how Yuya and Odd-Eyes interacted. It irritated him.

"Hey, what was your dragon parent like?" Levy asked.

"Huh?" Gajeel turned to her. "Where'd that come from?"

"I saw the look in your eyes when you saw that dragon. It was the same look Natsu has whenever he thinks about Igneel. You miss your dragon, don't you?" Levy asked.

"You know, you're too smart for your own good." Gajeel crossed his arms. "Metalicana, the Iron Dragon. He was selfish, but he did raise me and taught me his magic. He's blunt and straight to the point, doesn't miss a chance to make fun of me. But I guess that was his way of showing affection."

"You're definitely his child, I'd say." Levy giggled, making Gajeel blush a little. "You know, S-Class Missions come from all over the world. If I get promoted, I can take you on one of those jobs, and we can look for Metalicana together."

"Huh? Are you serious?" Gajeel was puzzled. "Why'd you'd wanna do that? And what about those losers you're always with?"

"Do I need a reason to want a help out a friend?" Levy tilted her head.

"Friend? After everything, I've done to you? After what I did while I was in Phantom Lord?" Gajeel asked.

"You're not that person anymore. You've changed and I like the way you are now. Your arrogance can be a little annoying but you're a good person deep down." Levy smiled.

"Geez…" Gajeel turned his back to Levy and crossed his arms. "Thanks…"

Suddenly, two shadows jumped out of the forests, one was a chicken like creature, and another was a goat wearing a samurai outfit and a sword. Gajeel quickly turned his arm into iron and blocked the sword, but the chicken headed for Levy. "Levy!"

"Geronimo!" The chicken received a foot to the face as Naruto did a flying kick that saved Levy. "Hiya, guys."

"H-Hi…" Levy was surprised to see Naruto here.

"Nice kick, fishcake." Gajeel smirked.

"Nice block, Heavy Metal." Naruto smirked back.

"Those symbols." Levy saw the same mark on the chicken's neck and goat's samurai outfit. "Grimoire Heart, what are they doing here?"

"Grim what?" Naruto asked.

"They're one of the Dark Guilds of the Balam Alliance, along with Oracion Seis and Tartaros." Levy explained. "In fact, they're the strongest Dark Guild in the world."

"The old man wouldn't invite a Dark Guild for the exam. But this could be good test in adaptability, a good quality for an S-Class Wizard." Gajeel smirked.

"We're here to hunt down you fairies. I'm Yomazu." The goat explained.

"And I'm his partner, Kawazu." The chicken added.

"Take this, Roar!" Yomazu swung his sword and a loud noise causing Gajeel, Levy and Naruto to covered their ears.

"So loud!" Gajeel grunted. "It's hurting my ears!"

"This is worse than Pervy Sage's snoring!" Naruto yelled.

Levy saw Kawazu charging for them, she grabbed both Naruto and Gajeel and with all her strength, pulled them away. Kawazu then jumped in the air and fired eggs from his mouth.

"Wait, I don't have any ramen with me!" Naruto shouted.

"I don't think those eggs are for eating!" Levy said.

Gajeel barely managed to avoid Yomazu's sword. "Damn it, I couldn't hear him coming because of all this noise."

"Solid Script: Silence!" Levy wrote the word Silence and it destroyed Yomazu's word for Roar.

"Hey, I can hear normal again." Naruto smiled.

"How dare that little girl erase what I wrote?!" Yomazu glared.

"Iron Dragon Club!" Gajeel rammed Yomazu with his iron armed club.

Kawazu unleashed more eggs from his mouth. "Oh no you don't!" Naruto threw shuriken and kunai and destroyed the eggs.

"Solid Script: Fire!" Levy unleashed the word fire and it made contact with Kawazu, burning him and making him scream.

"Slide, slide, slide!" Yomazu slid to a halt. "How dare you…" Yomazu glared. "Slice! Slice!" Yomazu swung his sword and trees were being cut down like butter. Gajeel quickly turned his body into iron, but he still felt a strong hit from the slice.

"Man, this guy is intense." Gajeel panted.

Kawazu managed to roll on the ground to extinguish the flames and he then fired more eggs at Naruto and Levy.

"Fire!" Levy wrote fire again, but there were more eggs.

"Damn, there's too many! Jump out of the way!" Naruto said as he jumped out of the way, but Levy didn't have his agility and she got hit.

"No Levy!" Gajeel screamed. Gajeel then grunted as Yomazu kept cutting him. "This guy, he's cutting right through my armor!"

"Pierce!" Yomazu got Gajeel on his side, making him grunt in pain.

"Now my Dark Sword Technique!" Yomazu, like a samurai, in a blink of an eye appeared behind Gajeel and sheathed his sword. A large cut appeared across Gajeel.

"It's over…" Yomazu smirked and Kawazu nodded.

However, both Levy and Gajeel turned into pieces of wood. "Huh?" Yomazu and Kawazu were taken aback. "Where'd they go?"

They were in a bush far away, where Naruto was hidden. "That was close." Naruto sighed.

"What just happened?" Gajeel was confused. He thought he got struck by the sword but in an instant, he was next to Naruto and Levy.

"Substitution Jutsu. It's a jutsu that allows me to substitute objects in place of another. In this case, I just switched you and Levy out before those guy's attacks hit you." Naruto explained.

"Do you think they retreated back to their base?" Yomazu asked.

"Probably, but if the other wizards are as weak as them. We can take them out before the main force gets here." Kawazu said.

"The main force…" Levy gasped.

"Shit, that means these guys are supposed to be the weakest." Naruto said.

"Levy, you get back to the guild. Tell them what's going on. I'll stay here and hold them off." Gajeel said.

"But Gajeel…" Levy wanted to argue.

"You got to tell the others what's going on. I can handle these guys. Just go." Gajeel said.

"There you are!" Yomazu saw them and headed towards them.

"No, you don't!" Gajeel struck Yomazu.

"You're mine!" Kawazu went to capture Levy.

"Haargh!" Naruto appeared and did a heavenward kick on Kawazu's face. "I'll stay and backup Gajeel. Go." Naruto turned to Levy.

Levy nodded and as she ran, she wrote down Iron and it dropped in front of Gajeel.

"Iron?" Gajeel was surprised that iron appeared in front of him.

"Stay strong…please." Levy cried as she ran away.

Gajeel began eating the Iron like it was nothing. "Geez, you have some weird diet plan." Naruto felt queasy watching Gajeel eat iron.

"I don't need your help; I can handle these guys on my own." Gajeel grunted.

"I'm sure you can, but…I lost a friend because he went off on his own. I'm not losing another one." Naruto said.

"We just met and you're already calling me a friend." Gajeel smirked. "I'm taking lead here, you're the backup." Gajeel got into a battle stance.

"Roger that." Naruto prepared to fight as well.

"Iron Dragon Roar!" Gajeel let out his Dragon Roar.

"Defense!" Yomazu blocked the roar. Kawazu then moved his head up and shot multiple eggs in the sky.

"Shit!" Gajeel looked up at the sky and saw millions of eggs heading towards him.

"Time for that new jutsu Pervy Sage taught me." Naruto reached in his pouch and threw a single shuriken.

"Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto did hand signs and the single shuriken multiplied into millions and they cancelled the eggs out. "Go, Gajeel!"

"Gihi!" Gajeel laughed. "Iron Dragon Club!" Gajeel sent Kawazu flying backwards.

"I'll cut through you!" Yomazu went to slice through Gajeel, but Gajeel caught it with his iron club. "What?!"

"Sorry, pal! I'm not allowed to lose!" Gajeel smirked.

Tenrou Island – Jungle

"I have to hurry and tell the others." Levy thought as she ran through the jungle.

"Hey, what was that about Fairy Tail?"

Levy stopped and crouched in the bushes before peaking above and saw Natsu and Happy facing against Zeref.

"Fairy Tail is holding you back from achieving your full power, Natsu. You could've been so much stronger had you not been in that guild." Zeref said.

"What gives you the right to say that?! I'm strong because of Fairy Tail! I'll prove it right now!" Natsu charged towards Zeref.

"Natsu!" Happy cried out.

"Fire Dragon Iron Fist!" Natsu threw out his punch, but Zeref caught it effortlessly. Zeref then pushed Natsu's fist back, cracking his wrist, making him grunt.

Zeref then swung Natsu's arm aside and struck him hard in the stomach. Natsu was sent flying back as he coughed out blood and landed on his back. "Wh-What?"

"Natsu!" Happy rushed to his partner.

"Just so you know, I held back and didn't put a single ounce of magic power into that punch." Zeref said.

"That was just his raw power. And he blocked Natsu's Dragon Slayer Magic like it was nothing." Happy trembled as Zeref approached Natsu.

"You could've been stronger in the years that Igneel left you, but instead you wasted your time with petty arguing and pointless fights. Igneel would be ashamed of you." Zeref said.

"Sh-Shut up…" Natsu grunted. "You don't know Igneel."

"On the contrary, I know Igneel quite well. He's my best friend and…I entrusted you to him." Zeref said.

"Wh-What?" Natsu grunted as he sat up.

"Looks like they're here." Zeref looked up at the sky. "I best go and play the part of a god. See you around, Natsu." Zeref walked away.

"W-Wait!" Natsu called out.

"Find a new crowd, Fairy Tail has nothing more to offer you. For today is Fairy Tail's last day of glory." Zeref walked away.

"Natsu…" Happy turned to his friend.

"Fairy Tail…is holding me back?" Natsu questioned himself.

"He's wrong, Natsu." Levy showed herself.

"Levy?" Natsu looked up.

"You're surpassing your limits every day you're with Fairy Tail. And all of us have seen prove of that." Levy said.

"She's right, Natsu. Remember, you beat Laxus, the leader of the Oracion Seis and that big metal dragon from Edolas. Sure, you've had help, but you still evolved and got stronger from those battles." Happy added.

"Yeah, you're right." Natsu stood up. "I'm stronger because of Fairy Tail, and I'll prove it with this S-Class Test." Natsu then blinked. "Hey, wait. Levy what are you doing here? And wasn't Gajeel with you?"

"Actually…" Levy spoke.

Gajeel and Naruto vs Yomazu and Kawazu

Gajeel grunted as Yomazu kept plunging his katana into Gajeel's arm and his club started shattering.

"Damn, this guy is persistent." Gajeel grunted.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto made clones of himself. "Everyone jump!" Naruto ordered his clones to jump in the air.

"What's he doing?" Gajeel looked up and he saw the clones catching the flying shuriken from before.

"Gajeel! Here's a power boost!" All the clones threw the shuriken at Gajeel.

"This guy…" Gajeel smirked. "Thanks for the assist!" Gajeel opened his mouth and he consumed all the shuriken that were thrown at him and he felt major power swelling up inside him that he broke Yomazu's katana.

"No, my katana!" Yomazu cried.

Gajeel then ate the broken Katana and green aura unleashed around him. "Dragon Slayer Secret Art!" Gajeel joined his hands together and they formed a very large iron sword. "Karmic Demon: Iron God Sword!" Gajeel swung his sword down and struck down Yomazu.

"Whoa, that was awesome!" Naruto landed next to Gajeel. "Still kind of gross that you still eat metal, but still awesome!"

"Gihi, thanks for the assist, kid." Gajeel thanked. "But still…" Gajeel looked at the defeated duo. "We still struggled against them and their main team is on the way."

"We can take them." Naruto said.

"Gajeel! Naruto!" Gajeel and Naruto turned to see Levy, Natsu and Happy running towards them. "Are you both okay?"

"A few scratches, but we're fine." Naruto answered.

"Sorry, Salamander. Party's over." Gajeel grinned.

"Oh, the party is just beginning." Yomazu laughed, getting their attention. "The main force is nearly here. Wizards with much stronger magic than I. They are known as the Seven Kin of Purgatory."

"Seven Kin of Purgatory…" Happy trembled.

"We got to stop them." Natsu said.

"I'll send a warning." Naruto tied a tag around his kunai and threw it into the air. It then exploded into a red flare.

Tenrou Island – Clearing

"Damn, where is that kid?" Yuya cursed as he kept searching for Wendy. He then stopped when he saw the flare.

"A red flare…an enemy attack…got to hurry and find Wendy." Yuya kept running.

Tenrou Island – First Master's Grave

Makarov saw the red flare. "An enemy coming in. Who else would come to our sacred grounds?"

"I don't know, but don't underestimate your opponent, Makarov." Mavis appeared.

Tenrou Island – Ruins

"A red flare, what does that mean?" Lucy wondered.

"An enemy attack…" Cana gritted her teeth. "Why does this have to happen now?!" Cana exploded. "I swore that this would be my last trial! I'm serious, if I don't make it this year, I'm leaving the guild forever! I'm seeing this through to the end!"

"Cana…" Lucy got worried for her friend.

Tenrou Island – Forest

"What should we do?" Happy asked.

"Yuya was looking for some of your members, Wendy and Mest, I think." Naruto said. "He used some of his Duel Monsters to look for them."

"I'll go look for Wendy too. She's a part of my team, I don't want anything bad to happen to her." Natsu said.

"Then, Gajeel and I will head back to the camp and report what he found to the others." Levy offered.

"In that case, I'll go scout around and look for the others. I'll use clones to find not only the other Fairy Tail members, but also check out the enemy. I'll send any information I find back to the camp." Naruto said.

"Sounds like a plan. Let's roll." Natsu said.

"Aye sir!" The group went off in their own direction.

Tenrou Island – Cliffs

Yuya saw Spike Eagle circling in the sky as he ran up the cliffs and he saw Wendy with Carla, and Panther Lily attacking Mest.

"Wendy!" Yuya shouted as he ran up the cliff. "Are you okay?"

"Uh…yes?" Wendy asked.

"Wendy, don't talk to a stranger. We don't know who he is?" The white cat snapped.

"Relax, I'm a friend. Some of your members were worried since you never came back to camp. I volunteered to help find you." Yuya explained.

"I find it hard to believe." The white cat crossed her arms.

"No, this young man is genuinely here to help us." The muscular black cat answered. "I can see the look in his eyes. He's a warrior with a sense of honor as well as a gentleness of love and care."

"Wow, that's nice of you to say." Yuya felt embarrassed. "But why are you attacking Mest? Isn't he a part of your group?"

"No, we don't." The black cat answered. "I believe this person has the magic to manipulate the memories of others. Now, tell us who are you?"

Suddenly, both Yuya and Mest sensed something. "Get down!" Both of them yelled and explosion knocked everyone off their feet.

"Who's there?! Show yourself?!" Mest shouted.

"Very impressive. As expected of the legendary Dragon Soldier, and leader of the Dimension Guardians, Yuya Ryuga." A face emerged from the tree.

"Who are you? And how do you who I am?" Yuya asked.

"My name is Azuma, one of the Seven Kin of Purgatory, a group affiliated with Grimoire Heart." Azuma explained.

"Grimoire Heart?" Wendy asked.

"A Dark Guild." Carla clarified.

"As for how I know you, a being named Genesis came to me in a dream. She told me all about your deeds in your own universe." Azuma explained.

"Genesis!" Yuya's eyes widened.

"No way, she still survived!" Odd-Eyes silhouette appeared.

"What do you mean universe?" Mest asked.

"The young man that you are standing with is a human from another world. A world where magic is nonexistent and where problems are solved via a game name Duel Monsters." Azuma explained.

"So, there are more worlds like Edolas." Panther Lily said.

"If that's true, then why is he here?" Carla questioned.

"I've heard how you stopped an army of monsters from invading your home. You were left to die on the battlefield." Azuma said. "But there is a bright side, I can test my might against a warrior of legend. Especially your recent victory over Fairy Tail's Erza Scarlet."

"He beat Erza?" Wendy looked at Yuya with awe.

"No way…" Mest looked at Yuya.

"So, you want to fight. Fine then." Yuya stepped forward.

"Wait." Azuma held his hand up. "If I am to prove to be superior to you, I must defeat you at your own game."

"My own game?" Yuya raised an eyebrow. Azuma smirked before he reached in his pocket and pulled out a Duel Monster Deck. "Alright, then. I accept."

Azuma formed a Duel Disk on his arm using his magic while Yuya activated his and inserted his deck.

"Duel!" Yuya and Azuma declared.

"I'm going first! When neither player controls a monster, I can Special Summon this card from my hand but its Level is reduced by 1! Appear! Entermate Drumming Kong (ATK: 1600, LV: 5, LV: 2)!" Yuya summoned a gorilla with drum set on his chest.

"Next, I Normal Summon Entermate Plus Turtle (ATK: 100, LV: 4)!" Yuya summoned an elderly turtle with a tie and stamp.

"Here I go!" Yuya raised his Duel Disk. "With the Level 4 Entermate Drumming Kong and Plus Turtle, I construct the Overlay Network!" Yuya created the Overlay Network from his Duel Disk and both of his monsters entered it.

"With the gold light of hope, appear on this field to give our allies a glimpse of tomorrow! Xyz Summon! Appear! Rank 4! Magician of Hope (ATK: 2500, RNK: 4, OVU: 2, PS: 8)!" Yuya summoned an Xyz Pendulum Magician monster on his field.

"Whoa…" Wendy was amazed.

"This is…Duel Monsters…" Mest watched.

"From goofy monsters to a strong monster, this young man surprises me." Carla said.

"Now let's see what his opponent thinks." Panther Lily looked to Azuma.

"I set two cards and end my turn!" Yuya finished his turn.

Yuya LP: 4000, Hand: 1
Azuma LP: 4000, Hand: 5

"My turn! Draw!" Azuma drew his card. "I should tell you that my deck is nothing like you've ever faced. Its power is the same as my magic."

"What do you mean?" Yuya asked.

"Allow me to demonstrate! By discarding two cards from my hand to the Graveyard, I can activate the Magic Card: Tower Burst! This card destroys all monsters on the field and deals both players damage equal to the combined Attack Points of the destroyed monsters!"

"What?!" Yuya exclaimed.

"Tower Burst!" Azuma inserted the card and a huge explosion engulfed Hope Magician and it spread towards Yuya, Wendy, Mest, Lily and Carla and they all screamed in pain.

The battle against the Seven Kin of Purgatory had begun.

And that is the end of this chapter, what did you all think of it? Are you surprised by the changes. We are actually gonna get more Gajeel and Levy in this story because they're one of my favorite characters.
