"I know you're a robot." Ruby whispered, causing to Penny to gasp.
Exactly as she expected, Ruby had to relive the operation in which her team and half of SSSN went after Torchwick, but she still had a job to do, so when she saw her dead friend again while Weiss was doing her part in operation, she decided to kill two birds with one stone and spend time with Penny and make some changes in the timeline by telling her that she knew that she was an android the whole time.
"How did you know?" was all that Penny managed to say.
"Woman's intuition!" Ruby replied cheerfully.
"Oh. I see. Sort of. Since I don't know what that is, it must mean that I do not have it, and if I don't have it, then it must mean that, without a doubt, I am not a real girl…" Penny said, sounding real dejected. Before Ruby could say something that would discourage her from thinking that way, Penny began to talk.
"Am I terrible friend, Ruby? I lied to you about what I really am and I am pretending to be someone that I am not."
"Penny, please don't ever think like that again. The fact that you are even trying to make friends shows that you really are a person, because that's what everyone wants! When I got to Beacon, I met Blake and Weiss, I tried to become friends with them, but at first, I just couldn't. I was too scared of trying something new and I couldn't adapt to the situation. Jaune, my first friend here, literally had to lift me off the floor in order for me to have my first proper conversation. Yet, here you are, in a strange situation, but you are doing your best to make friends, you're doing your best to be yourself. I wasn't able to do that at first, so, I guess that makes you better at being a person than me!" Ruby laughed.
"Thank you Ruby, I, I think I needed that!" Penny said, clearly confused about the emotion she was experiencing.
"Penny, you're a friend of mine, and I want to be your friend forever, so know now that I am making a declaration! A promise! I promise that I will keep you safe so that we can be friends forever!" Ruby began to cry a bit.
Penny, not knowing any better, cheerfully said the same to Ruby, which caused more tears to come out. However, when Ruby heard a familiar voice, she wiped those tears and headed to the location where the voice came from.
"Nora? What are you and Ren doing here?"
"Be quiet! We can't let them know we are here!" Nora said before pointing her finger in an opposite direction.
Oh crap! She was now spying on Jaune and Pyrrha in the middle of their date! She was so sorry. When she saw Penny, she used her semblance to take them away from where they had actually went in an attempt to change the timeline, but, now, here she was intruding on a really important meeting!
"Please know that I am not here to spy on my friends, I am just here to make sure that Nora doesn't ruin this for them!" Ren said.
"Uh, we'll be leaving than" Ruby said before using her semblance to get Penny and herself out of there. Nora hardly payed attention to this and went back to eavesdropping on the conversation that was going on between her friends.
"So, ummm, do you like me?" Pyrrha yelled at herself for asking such an obvious question. This date still didn't feel real at all! "Ummm scratch that. Anyways, I, uh, thought you liked Weiss!"
"Um, well, that's true, but, Pyrrha, you are really special to me, and now that I realize how much you mean to me, I uh, I want to be by your side forever!" Jaune winced. He felt like he had sounded too cheesy. Pyrrha, however, clearly didn't think this since she fainted upon hearing Jaune say that. Jaune smiled. He was going to do whatever it takes to save Pyrrha from her destiny. Even if it meant getting his hands dirty. Just a couple of weeks later, he would be doing just that….
