"Okay, I think have Glynda's number….Oh, where is it?" Jaune said aloud as he attempted to come up with a solution.
Pyrrha looked at Beacon Tower, already having made up her mind. Suddenly, a strange noise broke her concentration. She couldn't quite place what the sound reminded her of, but if she could describe it, the noise reminded her of static, of something warping, if that made sense. She looked back at Jaune. It was subtle, but he was different, she could tell. Almost like a completely different person, but not quite. It was still Jaune.
"Pyrrha…" Much to her shock and happiness, he moved in and kissed her. She calmed down and returned it. It felt like forever, but Jaune quickly broke it.
"I'm sorry."
"Wha-" In what seemed like an instant, Jaune activated his shield, and smacked her on the head with it.
"Jaune? What are you-" An explosion coming from Beacon Tower ended her sentence. Was Ozpin dead?
Thud.
Jaune had hit her again. This time she had fallen to the ground.
"I am so sorry about this, but I need you to be safe!" He said.
Another thud. She was down. Her semblance wouldn't get in the way.
He began to use all of his might to pick her up and push her into a nearby locker.
Jaune began to punch in coordinates onto the locker's pad. She would be safe. With the doors closed, the locker began to launch. It got smaller and smaller until he couldn't see it any longer. Step 1 was complete.
He looked at back at Beacon Tower, fists clenched and more ready then ever. This was going to work.
"Finally found you." Qrow said as he spotted the locker before quickly going over to it. He activated Harbinger and cut through the door, revealing that Pyrrha Nikos was indeed sill inside. "Kid! Hey, kid! Wake up!"
Pyrrha finally came to, taking a look at her surroundings before remembering what had occurred.
"Jaune! He's at the tower! He's going to die!" She quickly bolted into action, exiting the locker before stopping dead in her tracks in order to determine in what direction it was.
Qrow slowly approached her, weapon in hand. Once he was sure that she wasn't completely aware of her surroundings, he raised his sword ready to stri-.
Shit.
Out of the corner of her eye, she had seen him. In an instant, she used her semblance to stop Harbinger dead in its tracks before securing her safety by launching it away from his grasp.
"What are you doing?" She said not just to Qrow, but to the world. All of this felt like a fever dream. First Jaune, now one of Ozpin's trusted subordinates!? Did she miss a meeting or something?
"Sorry kid, but until they all arrive, it's up to me to make sure things don't get even worse!"
