"..." The clouds were dark and gray as lightning and thunder were striking down on the ground and rumbling all over the place. It was soon starting to rain heavily near an old and seemingly abandoned mansion with more rumbling and lightning around the place. Inside the abandoned place seemed like a picture of an old woman who seems like she owned it. But morely, what she was wearing. But then something was tossing stuff around, a pokemon known as gastly was having fun inside for some reason as it looked out the window with a mischievous smile.
"It's freezing!" Ash cried out as they were cold in the rain
"We're getting soaked!" Serena cried out as they were drenched from the rain.
"We need to find a way to get shelter!" Alex exclaimed as they would get a cold from the rain.
"Let's duck in there!" Clemont said, seeing the abandoned mansion.
"Ah! Dedenne, stay still!" Bonnie cried to Dedenne who was freaking out.
"..." The inside of mansion looked empty but the door decided to open a bit for them. Everyone ran under the part where it was dry for them.
"Whoa..." Serena moaned out as it got them wet.
"Man, what a storm." Ash said as he was rubbing Pikachu slightly.
"It's brutal, I can tell you that. Almost as if someone used Rain Dance." Alex said as he was wet badly, trying to dry his glasses with his jacket.
"It came up so suddenly." Clemont said as he was shaking the water off his backpack.
"I hate thunder. Eek! Ah.." Bonnie moaned out as a thunder struck the ground, scaring her very easily and sending her to the door.
"Huh? Huh?" Bonnie said as she noticed the open door.
"Let's ask if we can stay here until it stops raining." Ash said as Bonnie somehow had entered.
"Guys, the door's open! Yay!" Bonnie said as she was eager to enter, Clemont noticed her on what she was doing.
"Huh? Bonnie you can't just go in there!" Clemont said, trying to get Bonnie to stop.
"Bonnie, hold on. It's rude to trespass!" Alex said, knowing it's wrong on what she was doing.
"Anybody home? Hello?! Can we stay here until it stops raining?" Bonnie asked, being more curious.
"Please?" Dedenne asked, was anyone there?
"Excuse us." Clemont called out inside the mansion.
"Is anybody here?" Serena asked, Was anybody at least there?
"We just want to stay until the rain is gone! Hello?" Alex said, wanting them to at least calm the situation down.
"Visitors..? Heheh..." Gastly said as he was watching, then the Pokemon approached gastly, causing him to stop being cheeky as it was wearing a necklace around it.

EPISODE 15: Seeking Shelter From The Storm! (Ash)
EPISODE 15: The Mysterious Espurr! (Alex)
"..." The rain continued to pour outside as our heroes have entered themselves into what seemed to be an abandoned mansion or house they entered.
As Our heroes continue their journey to Cyllage City and Ash and Alex's second Kalos Region gym battle, they find themselves caught in a heavy thunderstorm.
"Is anybody in here?" Ash called inside the mansion.
"Anyone?" Pikachu asked as everyone was hoping to get an answer at least.
"Hello? Anyone? Please answer!" Alex called out to see if someone would answer.
"Hello!?" Clemont called from inside the house.
"Sorry to bother you! It seems totally deserted..." Serena said as she looked around the house to see how it's shape was.
"The exterior's in pretty bad shape, so maybe nobody lives here anymore." Clemont said, seeing how bad the place was in.
"Then why not tear the place down or just have someone buy it then? Problem solved!" Alex said, seeing how that would work a lot better for them.
"Hey, why don't we just stay here for a while?" Bonnie said, seeing if they should just wait for the storm to go away.
"Yeah, Good idea. We need to wait for that thunderstorm to go away." Alex said, seeing if this would work.
"I guess so..." Clemont said as the place was a bit creepy.
"Maybe. But this place gives me the creeps." Serena said as she was shaking a bit.
"Huh..." Clemont said as he noticed the place.
"Yeah, me too." Ash said as Alex was shaking.
"I am too, a little bit... ACK! what am I saying!? I should never be scared now!" Alex said as he snapped out of it, he shouldn't be scared.
"But it's better than getting wet!" Bonnie said, knowing how it will be better than staying outside the rain.
"Yeah!" Dedenne said as it was indeed better.
"Ehe... I think it feels creepy because there's no light." Clemont said as he knew why the place was creepy enough.
"Is there a way you can fix it?" Alex asked as Clemont went to check on the lights.
"Hm.. Looks like it's still working." Clemont said as suddenly the lights began to turn on.
"Aah!" The group said as the lights were on.
"Nice, Clemont! You fixed them!" Alex said as it worked, Clemont was scared and confused.
"That's better!" Bonnie said, as she was happy there was light in the room.
"Sure is." Ash said, feeling warm already.
"Hey Clemont, thanks!" Serena said as she thanked Clemont, but clemont was scared.
"Uhhh..." Clemont muttered out weakly.
"What? You did do it... Right?" Alex asked, then he felt scared.
"But... I didn't turn them on." Clemont explained, he did not do it at all.
"So then..." Serena asked as she was confused.
"Who did...?" Ash said, who did it?
"And how.. did they..?" Alex added on.
"That's kind of weird." Bonnie said as she was shaking, the fainted gastly went over to her.
"Yeah..." Dedenne said as suddenly, something licked Bonnie!
"Heheh.. Lick!" Gastly said as he faintly appeared and used Lick on bonnie, causing her to shudder!
"Eek! Who did that!?" Bonnie shrieked as she looked around.
"Ah, Ah! You okay, Bonnie?" Clemont asked to her little sister.
"Yeah... But I don't know what that was!" Bonnie said as she was more shaken, what caused her to be shaken was unknown to her.
"Probably some cold air from the lights." Alex said, maybe the air gave her a chill.
"Probably, it must've been the sensors." Clemont said as he probably thought sensors were the best thing to do it.
"Sensors?" Ash said, what was a sensor.
"Yeah, motion detectors. That's why the lights came on automatically. It may be an old house but it must be equipped with the latest technology, huh? Hahah..." Clemont explained as he maybe thought that the
"I see. Hahah..." Ash said as he lightly chuckled.
"Yeah, or maybe..." Serena said as she had her own worries.
"huh?" Ash said as she looked at Serena.
"We're inside a haunted house..." Serena said as she wondered if this place was haunted.
"Ungghh.." Ash shuddered as he was scared, Serena gasped and shut her mouth with her arms.
"Huh!? Did I say that?!" Serena freaked out as she covered her mouth.
"Yeah, no. I am NOT going to stay in this place now!" Alex said as he was not gonna be here anymore.
"Uh, let's stay outside until the rain passes." Ash said as maybe they should leave.
"Great idea." Clemont said as suddenly the door then closed!
"Huh?" The group said as they heard the doors close.
"What happened? Ngh..! Guys! The door's locked!" Ash said as he tried to open but the door was locked tight.
"We're stuck inside!" Pikachu cried out.
"No way!" Serena said as this was bad.
"But it was just wide open!" Bonnie said as she knew they were open.
"Someone's behind this." Alex said, who was behind it all?
"It must be the motion detectors closing and locking the door after they're open for a short while. Hah..." Clemont cried out as he was flailing his arms that maybe the detectors were just having issues.
"How can motion detectors lock us in then?!" Alex argued, why would the sensors do this then?
"But why are they still locked?" Serena said, Clemont began to ponder.
"Let me see..." Clemont said as Serena had a bad vision.
"Oh.. Maybe this is a haunted mansion that grabs people and then eats them..." Serena visioned as the house became alive then swallowed them whole as this scared Alex and Clemont.
"Urrrgh..." Clemont and Alex shuddered together as now this was getting out of control!
"Uhp! Did I say that!?" Serena said as she put her hands on her mouth again.
"Wait! You should never trust anything that can't be explained with science. This is a huge mansion and so there has to be another way to get outta here!" Clemont explained, hopefully this would work as Serena looked at Clemont, she was unsure.
"Yup, You're right. Let's go and find it." Ash said, agreeing with Clemont.
"Hopefully we don't run into any Ghost-Type Pokemon along the way..." Alex said, hopefully they could not run into more Pokemon.
"Yeah!" Pikachu said as everyone searched for a new way out.
Outside the Abandoned Mansion
"..." As it continued to rain outside, there was a familiar villiany that was heading to the same mansion from the backyard of it. It was Team Rocket!
"It's a downpour!" Jessie cried out as it was raining all over them.
"And it happens to be raining down on us!" James cried out, rain was pounding them.
"Yeah, I hate when that happens!" Meowth said as they came to a stop.
"Look." Jessie said as they found the same mansion that Ash and the others were in.
"There's a good chance it's not raining inside that huge house." Jessie said as she knew it would work.
"But what if somebody's there?" James said as Jessie smirked.
"Then I'll keep them company." Jessie said as she began to head toward the house.
"We're company too." James cried out as they followed her to the house.
"..." As Team Rocket hurried to the huge mansion, an unknown Pokemon with a pendant necklace was watching them as they found a door, Jessie tried to open it but it was locked.
"Open the door!" Jessie asked as the door was not budging.
"This home's creep factor's on ten." James said, seeing how creepy the home was on.
"And that's a bad thing? It'll keep away the riff-raff and make this the perfect Kalos frontline hideaway." Jessie said, to them this will be a perfect hideaway for them to keep to themselves.
"Wait a sec, I thought we were getting out of the rain." James asked, what was their plan?
"Hm, Huh? Oh! It's an automated window!" Jessie said as she looked around before the window opened for them.
"In an old house like this?" Meowth said as Jessie went in.
"Meowth's right, Wait up, Jessie." James said as Meowth and James both have entered through the window.
Inside the Old Mansion
"Judging by the looks of it, this place has been abandoned forever." Jessie said as it was covered with old stuff and cobwebs.
"Longer." James said as the window closed on them, without them knowing.
"Hm, there must be a light switch around here." Jessie said as the lights suddenly turned on.
"Oh, thanks for the light, Meowth." James said to Meowth.
"I didn't do that..." Meowth admitted, he wasn't doing that.
"Huh?" James said as he was confused.
"I'd say everything in this old joint is automated." Meowth said as he wondered.
"This old house?!" James cried out, as he was shocked to hear.
"Eh..?" Meowth said weakly out.
"I'm started to get a bad feeling about this place." James said as now he had a bad feeling about this.
"You and me both, pally!" Meowth said as he was in.
"Let's make sure we have an out." James said, wanting to have an escape route ready for them.
"Word up." Meowth said as the window was ready to be locked as James tried to open it.
"Mmmh, this thing's locked!" James struggled as he then told everyone.
"Huh?" Jessie said as they became concerned.
Meanwhile, With Ash's group.
"Oh boy, I am not liking this..." Alex said as they were walking through the abandoned mansion.
"Come on, we can continue on!" Ash said before something was thrown at them. Bouncing off Alex.
"Ah! What was that!?" Clemont cried out as he was worried.
"Looks like an apple." Bonnie said as suddenly the fainted gastly grabbed a fruit bowl and started chucking fruit at the group.
"Ah! Wild fruit!" Serena cruied out as everyone was covering their heads.
"Bahahah! Ahaha!" The wild Gastly laughed out as he was enjoying the chaos going on.
"Ah, Just leave us alone!" Serena said as Alex had enough.
"Here! Take this!" Alex said as he tossed a Pokeball at the fainted Pokemon using the fruit bowl as Gastly kept having fun.
"Hahaha! Huh?" The wild gastly chuckled as he was tossing more stuff until he got hit by Alex's Pokeball, it then dropped to the ground as the Pokeball, wobbled, wobbled, and wobbled all three times before it suddenly clicked! Alex caught himself a Gastly!
"Oh... It stopped." Serena said as alex got the pokeball, and checked it.
"Come on, let's continue on." Alex said as the group came to a dining hall with a small portrait to them.
"..." The thunder and lightning showed a picture of an old woman wearing a pendant as Ash, Serena and Clemont shrieked and fell on the floor.
"Oh. Really guys?!" Alex said as he wasn't scared and made a sarcastic comment.
"It's just a painting." Bonnie said, pointing at the painting.
"Uhn, Y-you're, you're right, It's a portrait." Clemont said as he was right, they were seeing the portrait and trying to get themselves together.
"Maybe she owns this place?" Ash said, is the lady in the painting the owner?
"Oh, Maybe she's not alive but she's here, anyway if you know what I mean." Serena said, as she had a vision of the lady's spirit going to be the owner.
"Ahh..." Ash, Alex and Clemont shuddered at Serena's story as Serena freaked out.
"Oh... Did I say that!?" Serena said as she shut her mouth again.
"Why... why did we have to be here?!" Alex said, why did they have to be stuck.
Back with Team Rocket.
"Uh... Did you hear that? That sound?" Jessie said, wondering what the noise was since it was spread out through the mansion.
"Yeah, loud and clear." Meowth shuddered as James had enough.
"I am so through with this place! Ngh, Huh? Hnngh." James said as he tried to barge and break the window but it was deflected by something as James attempted to try again. Ash's group was hearing the sound on the stairs.
"Anybody hear that?" Ash said as they were hearing the noises.
"I am... Uggh..." Alex said as he was getting dizzy.
"It must be an old grandfather clock ticking away somewhere and nothing more. I'm sure of it." Clemont said, knowing it could be a clock to them since he still didn't believe the haunting noises.
"Hey, Aren't clocks suppose to go 'tick-tock, tick-tock' or something?" Alex said, knowing clocks do sound like that.
"Sounds to me like someone's pounding a stake." Serena said, making her suggestion..
"How come?" Bonnie asked as Serena wondered another thing.
"To stop a vampire?" Serena said as this caused more shuddering.
"Eeek..." Alex, Ash and Clemont shuddered together from Serena's word.
"Urk! My mouth's got a mind of it's own today!" Serena said as she put her arms to cover her mouth once again.
Back with team Rocket
"AAAH!" Team Rocket shrieked as they saw the same photo that Ash's group saw earlier, Meowth jumped up on the fireplace wooding and examined it.
"It's just a portrait painting." Meowth said as he saw it.
"Next time, tell me before I freak out." Jessie shouted as James noticed something.
"Hey, did that woman's eyes just move?" James said as Team Rocket got more scared.
"AAAAH!" Team Rocket shrieked out in scariness.
Back with Ash's group
"What is that awful noise!?" Serena said, wondering what the noise is.
"Like I previously stated, this is an old mansion so it's really drafty. The draft sounds like a whistle and the whistle sounds like someone screaming which is actually quite common!" Clemont said, he was trying to deny Serenas scary stories.
"You're wrong! I have no doubt in my mind that was somebody screaming!" Serena said, knowing it could be someone.
"Serena's right." Ash said as he was on Serena's side.
"Yes, totally!" Pikachu said.
"But.. why would a whistle scream? How would it be possible? Unless it's filled with spirits..?" Alex said, how could a whistle be screaming as Ash looked at him with worriness.
"This mansion must be haunted by the spirit of that lady in the painting!" Serena said as she made her feel more worrysome.
"Uggh..." Ash and Alex shuddered together as Alex gave out some weak words.
"Maybe I should have not said spirits..." Alex said as Serena freaked out again.
"Ah! There I go again!" Serena said as she put her hands to cover her mouth.
Back with Team Rocket.
"We need to get out of here fast." Jessie said as they were slowly stuck together in the halls.
"I thought you were going to make this our hideout." James
"I lied... Huh?" Jessie said as they all saw something.
"Huh?" Team Rocket said as it looked like a Pokemon playing with something.
"What's that?" Jessie asked, what was it.
"..." The strange cat pokemon was playing with a ball when it turned and noticed and threw the toy ball right at them and it gave them one thing in mind.
"GHOST!" Team Rocket cried out as the ran away.
"Whatever that is has shining eyes!" Jessie cried out as she saw a part of it.
"Well, I'm not about to stick around and check out whatever it is that Sparky just threw at us!" Meowth said.
"That was no Poke ball and I'm no Pokemon!" James said as he was scared.
"BUT I AM!" Meowth screamed out as they continued through the halls.
Back with Ash's group
"Another scream..." Serena said, hearing another scream.
"Ah.." Ash said in worry.
"Why do they keep coming?! Is it some sort of ghost party!?" Alex said, what was going on.
"Let's find a way out!" Ash said as Pikachu saw something.
"Look!" Pikachu said as he pointed.
"Hello." The Pokemon said as it was waving it's hand, the group was shuddering as Bonnie noticed it and gasped in surprise, the Pokemon was levitating away as Bonnie decided to go after it.
"Hey!" Bonnie said as she was chasing it down the stairs to follow it.
"Wait! Bonnie!" Clemont called out to his little sister as Bonnie was ahead to chase the little Pokemon.
"Stop!" Bonnie called out to the Pokemon as everyone followed Bonnie.
".." Bonnie followed the Pokemon around some corners as the group seemed to try to follow her but found a window as a dead end.
"Where's Bonnie?" Clemont said, knowing they hit a dead end.
"I don't see her anywhere." Serena said, Bonnie was missing now!
"Bonnie! Where'd you go?" Ash called out for Bonnie.
"Please, ask!" Pikachu said, hoping for a response.
"Bonnie! Where are you?!" Alex said, hoping to call for Bonnie.
"Hey!" Clemont called out loudly as the mansion could hear them.
Back with Team Rocket
"Did someone just call us?" Jessie weakly said as she peeked from the bed.
"Its probably whatever's hauntin' this goofy joint." Meowth said, peeking up a bit from the bed.
"Now that you mention it, it does look haunted, doesn't it?" James said as he was making more haunted jokes.
"Will you keep your crazy to yourself!?" Jessie snapped to James annoyingly.
Back with Ash's group
"Hey!" Clemont said as the four of them were back at the beginning.
"Bonnie!" Serena said, hoping for Bonnie to respond.
"Bonnie! Come out!" Alex called out to Bonnie.
"She has to be around here." Ash said, hoping Bonnie is close.
"Maybe she's gone." Pikachu said, Alex got worried.
"Oh no... What if Meyer knows that Bonnie is missing..?!" Alex said as clemont gasped then tried to process harder.
"Huh? AAAAAAH!" Clemont said as he gasped and shouted loudly.
"..." Team Rocket and Ash's group got startled by Clemont's scream, everyone shuddered too. Ash then spoke to Clemont in confusion.
"What's wrong with you?" Ash said.
"Did you just see something?" Serena asked, what did Clemont scream for?
"I figured it out, there must be a Psychic or Ghost-type Pokemon in this mansion!" Clemont explained, seeing that some Pokemon is behind all this!
"But.. I caught it earlier. Why do you think that?" Alex said. He knew he caught the problem they had.
"Well, It's a psychic type, That's gotta be why those lights turned on and the doors closed all by themselves!" Clemont said, knowing what the other type could be.
"So you think a Pokemon other than what Alex has did all of that?" Ash said as he wondered what it can be.
"Of course, that's certainly would explain all of this weird stuff." Serena said, with what was happening.
"Yeah, and maybe that thing we saw was actually a Pokemon." Clemont said as he wondered if their encounter was a Pokemon.
"A Pokemon?!" Ash exclaimed, a Pokemon they saw?
"What kind of Pokemon?" Pikachu asked, what was it?
"I'd guess the doors and windows wouldn't open up because that Pokemon probably doesn't want us to get out of the mansion just yet." Clemont said. Knowing what it wants.
"Yeah, but why?" Serena asked, why though?
"I don't know." Clemont said, making them worried.
"Maybe for fun? Games?" Alex asked, what was the Pokemon going to ask for?
Meanwhile with Bonnie.
"Hello there!" Bonnie said as the Pokemon was playing with a toy ball.
"Hi!" Dedenne said as the Pokemon turned to them.
"Hey, what's your name? Who are you?" Bonnie said as she was curious.
"Espurr?" The Pokemon said, Bonnie felt more confused.
"Are you a ghost? Please, tell me. Do you live here?" Bonnie asked with questions on her mind.
"Espurr." Espurr said as it used it psychic power to toss Bonnie a toy ball.
"Hm, Oh? Hm?" Bonnie said as she caught the ball and looked back at Espurr. Who was motioning Bonnie something. Then she bounced the ball.
"Oh!" Bonnie said as Espurr caught it and tossed it back, Bonnie knew what this Pokemon wanted to do, it wanted to play.
"Can I have a turn?" Dedenne asked as the Espurr wanted to have a turn.
"Espurr!" Espurr said as it used it's psychic power to give the ball to Dedenne
"Whoa... WHOA!" Dedenne as he fell, Bonnie wanted to catch dedenne.
"Espurr!" Espurr freaked out, it used Psychic to catch Bonnie and Dedenne from falling, then using it's psychic power to re-position them back on their feet.
"Huh? Hey how did we do that? Wait a minute. Was that you who kept us from falling?" Bonnie said, she was confused.
"Espurr! Purr Purr!" Espurr nodded happily.
"Wow, Thanks!" Bonnie said as she thanked the Pokemon.
"Thank you!" Dedenne happily thanked to Espurr.
"hang on, were you the one who turned on all the lights and then locked the door?" Bonnie asked, was espurr the one doing this?
"Espurr!" Espurr said with a nod.
"Why'd you do that?" Bonnie asked.
"Purr." Espurr said as she walked to a door.
"Huh?" Bonnie said, watching Espurr.
"Purr, Purr!" Espurr said as it opened a door to show Bonnie something.
"What's in here?" Bonnie said as she noticed a lot of things.
"Playground stuff?" Dedenne said as it looked like toys!
"Ah.." Bonnie said as she saw slides, building block toys and cars, even a rocking horse made from wood!
"Espurr!" Espurr said as it slid down a slide, Bonnie was loving it so she and Dedenne slid down on a slide, making Espurr enjoy their company.
"Huh? Okay!" Bonnie said as Espurr wanted to do the Rocking Horse next. Bonnie lightly took Dedenne and Espurr on the wooden rocking horse of Ponyta.
"You ready?" Bonnie said as she had them ready.
"Yeah!" Dedenne and Espurr happily said as Bonnie began to play with them.
"Ride the Ponyta! Ride the Ponyta!" Bonnie said as she lightly rocked the Ponyta rocking chair with Espurr and Dedenne riding on it.
"Bonnie! Where are you?!" Clemont called out to his little sister.
"Where did you go?" Serena called out once more.
"Bonnie! Tell us!" Alex asked to see if Bonnie was there, they heard something.
"Oh, Did you hear that noise?" Ash said as he heard the noise.
"Do you think that's Bonnie?" Clemont said, wondering if Bonnie was there.
"Let's go check it out." Ash said as they entered a door to a room.
"Bonnie?" Clemont said as they saw three white cloths and see what it was.
"Ah, Who's there?" Ash called out, it was team rocket.
"..." Team Rocket did their motto weakly from the thunderstorm outside and the energy they had was gone!
"I'd rather be fighting because im scared out of my wits!" James cried out in worry.
"This is the pits!" Meowth said as they all saw who they had in front of them.
"Looks like we've been haunted by the twerps!" Jessie said, being annoyed.
"Huh?" James said as he and meowth looked at ash's group.
"Don't ever do that again." Jessie snapped at them.
"So you guys were behind all this." Ash said, seeing that he thought Team Rocket was the one behind all of this!
"Behind what?!" Jessie angrily shouted at them.
"All that weird stuff! You're dressed up like ghosts!" Serena said, seeing the cloths they had.
"We didn't do anything!" James said, knowing they were innocent.
"We borrowed these tablecloths cause we were cold and soaked to the skin." Meowth said as he explained.
"Okay, what did you do with Bonnie?" Clemont said, wondering what they did with Bonnie.
"Huh? What's a Bonnie?" Jessie asked curiously.
"Save it. The first order of business is getting out of this nuthouse." James said before a loud bang was heard that surprised everyone.
"Well, i guess that means Bonnie wasn't taken by them." Alex said, seemingly Team Rocket never took Bonnie.
"Something just went bump in the night." Meowth said as he was scared.
"Wonder what it was." Ash said, wondering what it was.
"Looks like we got visitors! We're out of here!" Team Rocket cried out as they fled the room and ran through the halls!
"Maybe it was Bonnie." Clemont asked, maybe it was bonnie.
"Then we better go and check it out now." Ash said, seeing if they should check it out.
"Hope bonnie isn't getting hurt." Alex said, praying Bonnie was okay.
Meanwhile with Bonnie and Espurr.
"Sorry. It fell over." Bonnie said as the Ponyta rocking horse fell over.
"Espurr!" Espurr said as it used it's psychic powers to put the rocking ponyta back on it's legs, with it and Dedenne on it. Bonnie noticed something!
"Wow, it was you!" Bonnie said, seeing Espurr was doing it.
"Purr, Purr!" Espurr said, smiling happily.
"Hey, That pendant." Dedenne said, noticing the pendant on Espurr.
"Espurr?" Espurr said, being curious.
"That's a pretty pendant." Bonnie said, loving the pendant that Espurr was wearing.
"Purr, Purr, Espurr!" Espurr said happily before being a little worrisome.
"Huh?" Bonnie said, she was confused what Espurr wanted.
"Espurr, Espurr!" Espurr said as it was letting Bonnie follow it to the same painting before.
"I've seen that painting before." Bonnie said, knowing it was the same.
"Espurr, Espurr..." Espurr said as it was showing Bonnie the painting portrait that the old lady wore and Espurr was wearing it also.
"It's the same pendant!" Bonnie realized, it was the same thing they had!
"Yeah." Dedenne said, realizing it too.
"But why?" Bonnie asked, what did Espurr mean?
"Purr, Purr, Espurr!" Espurr said, but Bonnie couldn't translate Pokemon.
"I'm sorry, I don't-" Bonnie said as she was confused but the group were hearing something outside the halls.
"Huh?" The group said as they heard bonnie's voice.
"That voice." Ash said as it was familar.
"Sounds like Bonnie!" Alex said, it sounded like bonnie alright.
"What do you-" Bonnie asked as Clemont knew who's voice it was.
"Hey, that's bonnie!" Clemont said, it was bonnie to him!
"Hmm? What're you saying?" Bonnie said as ash's group entered the room.
"Bonnie!" Clemont said as Bonnie turned around to see them.
"Huh? There you are. Hi." Bonnie said to the group.
"You okay?" Ash asked to the little girl.
"Thank goodness." Serena said with a weak sigh, Clemont put his hands on Bonnie's shoulders.
"Look Bonnie, you should never ever run off like that. You have no idea how worried we've been!" Clemont said, scolding her little sister about how worry everyone was trying to find her.
"I'm so sorry. I was playing with that Pokemon." Bonnie apologized, she pointed at Espurr.
"Huh?" Ash and Serena asked as they saw Espurr.
"What is that?" Alex asked as he got his Pokedex out.
"Espurr. The Restraint Pokemon. A Psychic Type. Espurr's Psychic Energy can travel hundreds of feet, blasting everything around it." The Pokedex said as it read Espurr's data.
"I knew it!" Clemont said, he was right!
"Hey, Look at that!" Alex said, noticing something they both have.
"The Pendant. I've wanted to give this back to her." Espurr said, explaining what was going on.
"It's trying to tell me something but I can't understand it." Bonnie said, she was way confused.
"It's saying that the pendant it has on it, it wants to give it back." Alex said, telling bonnie what he heard.
"Hmm." Ash said, he was confused.
"We were too panicked to think but now it all makes sense." Jessie said as they entered the room.
"Team Rocket?" Ash said, what were they doing?
"What do you want now?" Alex said, what did they want now?
"Let's put that aside. None of us are going to be able to get out of here unless we figure out what Espurr wants from us." James said, knowing they would never leave until they heard from espurr.
"The man makes sense, Translate please?" Jessie said as she went to Meowth.
"Basically, Espurr says it wants to return the pendant to the lady in the painting." Meowth said, wanting to explain from Espurr what was going on.
"Yes, I want to give it back to her. She took good care of me." Espurr said, wanting to let them hear her out.
"It says she took really good care of Espurr." Meowth said.
Flashback
"..." Espurr was outside the mansion with an old lady wearing a pendant at her garden as Espurr noticed she was trying to give it Pokemon food, Espurr seemed slightly hesitant to take the food but the lady encouraged Espurr.
"For you." The lady said in the flashback said as Espurr took one and started to nibble on it.
"Good, eh?" The lady said as she chuckled.
"She gave it some food." Meowth narrated for Espurr.
"Here." The lady in the flashback said as she tossed the ball, Espurr used psychic to catch it and then play with it up and down, making it have some fun.
"Do you like it?" The lady asked in the flashback, Espurr nodded happily.
"She gave it a ball." Meowth narrated once again for Espurr.
"Espurr!" Espurr happily said in the flashback. Going down a slide.
"I used to play with my children and grandchildren like this too." The lady in the flashback said as Espurr was enjoying the fun.
"They used to play together all the time." Meowth narrated once more for the Espurr.
"Huff, Huff." The old lady panted in the flashback on the guardrail, she seemed tired.
"Espurr?" Espurr asked in the flashback, was something wrong with her?
"I'm sorry, I'm alright." The old lady said in the flashback as she sat down, Espurr came to check on her, she touched her pendant.
"My dear pendant. It means so very much to me. It was a gift from my husband.
"Purr." Espurr said as the lady put the pendant around Espurr's neck. Espurr was dazzled by it.
"Do you like it? In that case, you may hold onto it for a little while. Make sure you don't lose it, alright?" The old lady said in the flashback as she let Espurr hang onto the pendant for as long as she can and told it not to lose it at all.
"Purr, Espurr!" Espurr said in the flashback as it was waving goodbye to the old lady.
"Come visit again, anytime!" The old lady said the flashback, happy to let it come back.
"Espurr!" Espurr opened the door with a flower in the flashback, hoping to return the pendant and give a flower but.. all there is was silence. Espurr called out for the old lady and searched around.
"Then one day. It came to return her beautiful pendant.. but she was gone." Meowth ended his narration as poor Espurr never got to see the lady again..
END OF FLASHBACK
"I see." Ash said, espurr was lonely.
"Poor Espurr. Waiting for the lady to come back.." Alex said, hoping that the lady would come back.
"So it's been waiting for her." Ash said, knowing how espurr was waiting for her.
"So it could return her pendant. All this time." Serena said, knowing Espurr wanted to return the Pendant.
"Yeah." Clemont said.
"She must have really liked you a lot if she let you wear that pretty pendant of hers like she did." Bonnie said as she knew the lady loved the espurr.
"But where is she?" Espurr asked, where did the lady go to now?
"But now Espurr wants to find out where the old lady went off to." Meowth translated for Espurr, wondering where the lady was at.
"I'm afraid there's no way any one of us would know." Ash said, knowing that they were not sure where the lady was at.
"Hey Ash, we could try to find out." Clemont said, maybe they should find her.
"Yeah, we could." Ash said with an agreement.
"That's a great idea." Serena chimed in, team rocket sneered.
"Yeah, We can maybe try to find the old lady." Alex said as Team Rocket was against it.
"I'm afraid we don't have time for such silliness." Jessie said, against the idea.
"We know the quickest way out of here!" Meowth deviously smirked.
"And that's to catch Espurr." James finished it off.
"What are you doing?!" Ash said in confusion, why were they going to catch Espurr?
"Leave Espurr alone!" Alex shouted, wanting Espurr to be left alone.
"Pumpkaboo, let's go!" Jessie said as she summoned out Pumpkaboo.
"Time for payback!" Pumpkaboo said, ready to battle.
"Okay, Inkay!" James said as he summoned out Pumpkaboo.
"Here we go!" Inkay said as he appeared to battle.
"Now, use leech seed!" Jessie said, using Leech Seed.
"Leech Seed!" Pumpkaboo said as it fired leech seed under Espurr.
"Huh? Nggah!" Espurr said as it was wrapped around vines.
"Leave Espurr alone! Go!" Alex said as he tossed out a Pokeball, revealing it to be...
"Grragh!" The gastly said as Alex seemed way lost.
"I caught a Gastly?" Alex said as the group had blank expressions.
"Psybeam Inkay! and make it a good day!" James said, wanting to attack the espurr more.
"Psybeam!" Inkay said as it fired off an psybeam, causing it to cover the group with smoke as it showed to be a light green shield around them.
"Grrh..." Espurr said as it was protecting the group.
"It's using Protect!" Clemont said as Espurr was helping them.
"Thanks a lot, Espurr!" Bonnie said as Espurr became mad at Team Rocket.
"I'll not let you harm this place! Take this!" Espurr said as it ripped Leech Seed's vines with Psychic and then used Psychic on team rocket.
"What's going on!?" Jessie said as they were trapped by the Psychic Power of espurr.
"GET OUT!" Espurr said as she opened a window and sent them out of the mansion.
"Yes! We finally got out of there!" Jessie cried out in joy.
"True, but where are we going next!?" James asked as they didn't know where now.
"Guess.." Jessie said as they all were back to flying far away.
"We're blasting off again!" Team Rocket cried out as they were sent flying off.
"Espurr, that was great!" Bonnie said happily to the small Pokemon.
"You really got us out of a jam." Ash said, thanking Espurr.
"I can't believe how powerful you are." Serena said, shocked how strong Espurr was.
"Not a problem." Espurr cheerily said.
"Man, Powerful yet cute." Alex said, knowing how strong Espurr was.
"..." A red car stopped outside of the mansion and someone left the car and began walking to the mansion.
"Can you find the lady?" Espurr asked, wondering if they can find the lady.
"Just leave finding the lady who lived here to us." Ash said as the person began to walk to the mansion.
"I wonder if that woman lived here all by herself?" Clemont wondered if the lady lived here herself.
"Hm..." Ash pondered as another voice came to hear them.
"Are you talking about Grandma lacey?" A woman's voice said as Alex looked to see who that was.
"Who's there?!" Alex asked as the woman looked at them, quite frankly surprised..
"Hello." The woman said, saying a small hello.
"Uh, Grandma Lacey?" Ash said.
"That's her in that painting. She's my grandmother." The woman said as Alex then gasped a bit.
"Wow. She's your grandmother?" Clemont said as Alex felt silly for his behavior.
"Oh. I am very sorry. Gastly, return." Alex said as he apologized and returned Gastly.
"Does this mean you own this big house?" Ash said, wondering if the woman owned this home.
"That's right, I sure do. My name is Elise. So, who might you be?" Elise asked and she introduced herself to the others before asking, then everyone introduced themselves and they began to sort out the situation.
"I understand, you knew my grandmother then." Elise said as the group realized how silly they are in now.
"I'm sorry we entered your house without permission." Ash apologized as they were intruding rudely.
"No problem. I'm glad you were able to get out the rain. Grandma lacey always used to play games with me when I would come here for a visit too. Just like she did with you." Elise said as she accepted the apology without an issue.
"Yeah, She was fun." Espurr said, wondering how the fun times they had.
"Where is your grandma lacey now?" Ash asked, Elise looked down with a sad look on her face.
"I'm afraid she passed away." Elise said, telling the truth.
"Huh?" Ash and Clemont gasped as Alex felt like his heart shattered.
"I... oh... i'm so sorry." Alex said as he apologized. Now knowing Espurr was alone.
"She's... gone? I..." Espurr said as it held a sad face, how was Lacey gone?
"I'm sorry." Clemont apologized as Espurr seemed to do something and used Psychic on the pendant.
"Huh?" Elise said as Espurr gave her the pendant.
"Please. I can't have it for me." Espurr said, knowing it's not hers now.
"Espurr wanted to return that Pendant to your grandma." Ash said, knowing Espurr wanted to return the pendant.
"Thank you. This was my grandmother's favorite piece of jewelry." Elise said, holding the pendant with some tears.
"This old house was scheduled to be torn down soon. It's in pretty bad shape. So I came back to see what kind of condition it was in. But, you know what? After this, after meeting all of you, I think I've changed my mind. I'm going to renovate this place." Elise said, explaining what she would do with the house before changing her mind.
"Thank you!" Espurr said happily.
"Now don't worry. Grandma lacey's portrait will stay exactly where it is. And when it's all finished, I'm going to move in. And you know what? I'd be thrilled if you'd come and play." Elise said, promising Espurr to let it stay.
"I know, do you want to go to the cemetery where Grandma lacey is now? You can tell her all about the pendant and say goodbye." Elise said, making an offer to the espurr.
"Sure." Espurr said, wanting to help.
"..." The others smiled on what Espurr was doing, making the right choice and wanting to go with Elise. Soon they all headed outside with Elise and Espurr in the car.
"I'm sure you'll take good care of Espurr. Right?" Ash said to Elise.
"Of course, I think Espurr and I will be good friends." Elise said, knowing they will be good friends.
"Take care, Okay?" Bonnie said to Espurr.
"I will." Espurr said as Elise smiled and looked at Alex.
"Thank you, And alex. If you find your mother, If she lives here. Come and visit sometime, Espurr and I will enjoy some company." Elise offered as Alex smiled.
"Alright. Thank you, Elise." Alex said as the group waved goodbye as Elise drove away to the cemetary, after a whacky adventure they had inside an abandoned mansion was no more.
"You know, I would think it would be a whole lot better if you held onto that pendant instead of me." Elise said to Espurr, knowing how cute it would be for them.
"I'm sure that's what Grandma lacey would want anyway." Elise said, knowing how Espurr felt with what Lacey wanted.
"Hmm." Espurr said as it used Psychic on it and put it around her.
"Haha, It looks perfect!" Elise chuckled as she loved it.
"Thank you." Espurr said as it held it's purple flower.
"What a pretty flower." Elise said, seeing the flower.
"Yeah, I picked it." Espurr said as she held a purple flower.
Two hearts, Espurr's and Elise's connected by Grandma lacey's pendant. Our heroes have witnessed yet another bond between People and Pokemon, as their journey to the Kalos league continues!
