(Earth, 2113 A.D, Temple of Hatsheput, Egypt)
Ugh-Zan IV fell to the ground after letting out a defeated roar. Killed at the hands of one Sam "Serious" Stone. The vicious warlock had tried to stop Sam from reaching the timelock. Of course, Sam being Sam, he defeated the four-legged giant, along with some of Mental's hoard.
"And that's how we do it on planet earth, you overgrown space cockroach." He triumphantly said before taking off to the sky with the jetpack and flew towards the timelock.
The timelock came to life as he landed of the scaffolding and made his way to the portal, discarding his jetpack. Before he entered the timelock, he took out stein's phone and dialed a number. He needed to make one last phone call traveling to the past. The phone rang and rang until someone finally answered.
"Mental residence, Judy Mental speaking." Came a voice from the other end.
"Hey, is your dad home?" Sam asked Judy.
"My dad's out destroying some pissant planet in the middle of nowhere. Can I take a message?"
"Yeah, tell him sam's coming over the play. And by play I mean kill him." Said Sam.
"Are you serious?" Judy questioned. A familiar smile made its way across Sam's face.
"Why yes, as a matter of fact I am." Sam said in a cool manner. Unaware of what was approaching him.
"Well you'd better hurry. He's due to moon your planet any second now." Judy warned.
"Moon my, huh?" Sam looked to his left in the sky to see the literal moon heading straight towards the earth. "I gotta get to that time lock RIGHT NOW!" He broke off into a sprint and gunned it for the timelock. "I'll see you in 3000 B.C, Mental, you motherfuckin..." He exclaimed as he leapt into the timelock, a white flash filling his vision.
(1138 A.D, Lescatie)
The flashes and loud sounds of gunfire filled the streets of Lescatie. Bodies of Mamono fell to the ground at the hands of Sam as people ran past him for safety. His HUD appeared in his vision, courtesy of NETRICSA, displaying his vital information.

The fight with Mordekai took a fair bit out of him. But for Sam, this was more than enough. He looked to see that he was surrounded. A Hellhound, Manticore, Amazonness and an ogre surrounded him.
"Okay, who's gonna go first, scumbags!" He taunted. The ogre responded by cracking beer knuckles with a toothy grin and went in to try and tackle him. Sam's response? A quick blast from the shotgun, sending the ogre flying on her back, her stomach blasted open by the shotgun blast. Sam ducked a swing from the Amazonness's sword and sidestepped a swipe from the Manticore before blasting her with his shotgun. The Amazonness cautiously took one step back. Something was incredibly off about this man. Sam aimed his shotgun at the Amazonness and fired. The Amazonness just barely managed to block the blast with her massive sword, causing her to stumble backwards. A growling noise was heard coming from behind Sam. He turned around to see the hellhound swipe the shotgun out of his hand. She grinned in victory, thinking she had already won. Sam being Sam, however, took out another gun from his arsenal; his Tommy Gun and opened fire on the surprised hellhound, killing her. Sam turned his attention back to the Amazonness and Manticore.
Tommy Gun ammo: 364
"Let's see; eenie, meenie, miney..." He focused on the Manticore, who had her tail raised. "...you!" Sam ducked the spines that flew past his head and fired at the Manticore, ending her life. He looked back to see that the Amazonness was gone. Probably realised this was a fight she couldn't win. He walked up to his pump action shotgun and picked it back up.
"Heh, these monsters aren't so tough." The moment he said that, a dark shadow loomed over him. He looked back to see the Ushi-Oni whose arm he had cut off, looking down at him, clawed hands reared back, with a smile on her face that sent shivers down his spine, her arm fully healed as if nothing had happened. To top it off, he was completely surrounded. "Oh crap...
Druella hovered over Lescatie as the invading Mamono took men left, right and centre. She did all this in hopes that her mother's dream could finally be realised. It was now only a matter of time before the city was converted.
The sound of explosions going off in the distance caught her attention. She looked over to see where the explosions were coming from. Just what in the world was going on over there. "Your Highness." Came a voice. Druella turned her head to her left to see a demon floating up towards her, her expression being that of worry and concern. "It appears we've run into a problem." A few more explosions went off. What happened?" Druella asked. The demon shook her head before saying "I'm not sure how this is possible, but a single man has managed to wipe out fourty percent of the Mamono that were with us within half an hour!"
Druella blinked, as if she misheard. "What?" That was not possible. Even with the blessing of The Chief God, any man would've succumbed to pleasure at this point. "Where is he?" The demon pointed over to where the explosions were going off. Druella hesitated for a brief second. Could it be possible for a man this dangerous to exist? She flew down to the source of the explosions, only to be met with a horrifying sight.
Numerous bodies of various Mamono, all of which with varying wounds, as far as the eye could see. She covered her mouth in horror. The further she walked, the more the body count went higher. "Who could've done this?" She thought to herself.
Her question was answered she looked ahead to see one of the most unusual sights she had ever seen. A man was riding on the shoulders of an Ushi-Oni, who was struggling to get him off. His hands firmly gripping her horns, steering her in the direction he wanted to go, crashing into anything and everything This man stood out from other men in Lescatie. From his Muscular appearance to his rather handsome looks to the outfit he wore. If she could describe him with as few words as possible, it would be peak masculinity. But it wasn't his appearance that made him stand out.
It was his spirit energy. It felt much more different from anything else that made him stick out like a sore thumb.
"Yeeeehaw!" The man shouted out, shooting a rather strange firearm in the air. He jumped off the Ushi-Oni's shoulders and pulled out a weapon that made Druella's jaw drop.
A cannon. As in literal cannon.
But it wasn't his appearance that made him stand out.
"...OUT CAME MY CANNON AND WIPED THE SUCKER OUT!" An ear deafening blast was heard all across Lescatie as a cannon ball was blasted out of the cannon. The Ushi-Oni raised her clawed arms the stop the cannon but to no avail. The cannon ball tore through her arms and, upon impact, utterly destroyed the poor Ushi-Oni. Druella took a step back. This man just killed an Ushi-Oni like it was nothing! And without getting any of her blood on him. She noticed, in his emotions, he held no anger nor any fear when murdering the Mamono like most soldiers of the order would. Instead, he oozed confidence. As if he knew he had already won. The words Serious Sam were written on the back of his t-shirt red and yellow writing. That took care of his name. She figured that this man was a hero of The Chief God. One thing that contradicted this, however, was the fact the he lacked The Chief God's blessing.
"Daniel Garner, eat your heart out." He said. Druella hovered down to the ground, the sound of her clicking catching his attention.
I turned around to see who it was and my eyes landed on one of the most the most beautiful women I had ever seen. Like, hot damn, she was perfect in almost every aspect. The one thing that put me off was her demonic appearance. "Sam, be careful! My sensors are going nuts in her presence. No doubt, she's one of the more powerful monsters, whatever she is." NETRISCA warned me. I cautiously took out my minigun for this one. Nothing but silence between the two of us as we stared at each other, ten-feet apart. "I'm guessing you're the one in charge of this whole shindig?" I asked. Finally, she decided to speak. "Aren't you going to introduce yourself?" She asked me. Man, I did not like the sound of her voice. She sounded really shady. "Ladies first." I retorted. Judging by the expression on her face, she wasn't expecting me to say that as my answer. She did a small courtesy before saying "I am Druella. Fourth born daughter of the Demon Lord, My mother, and princess of the Royal Makai." He gestured her hand to me, with the biggest shit-eating smile I've ever seen. So she's the daughter of the demon lord, huh? Maybe I could make an example out of her. "Who might you be?" My response? I shot the minigun into the air, making her duck to avoid getting hit by the bullets.
"Serious Sam! No Cover. All Man!" I growled at her. Hey, you only have one chance to make a badass first impression! Gotta make it count. She just blinked at me before letting out a small chuckle.
"Sam, is it? Now, What have we done to warrant these killings? After all, we haven't hurt a single soul. Surely, It would be easier for you to give in to the pleasures that we Mamono have? And believe me: you will, eventually..." She kept rambling on. I wasn't really listening. I may not be the brightest but if there's one thing I know, it's that you should never listen to a demon. Let alone one that's offering to please you.
"...so come now. Lay down your weapon, and I will show you pleasure the likes of which you've never-"
"You done talking, jackass?" I interrupted, aiming my minigun at her, her smile slowly disappearing off her face. "You can choose between two ways - the hard way and my way. But they are basically the same"! She looked at me as she summoned a rapier and pointed at me "It appears words aren't going to get through to you. Very well, we'll do it your way then." She said, brandishing her rapier. My minigun began to rotate and out came a flurry of bullets.
(OST: Final Fight - Serious Sam 3)
WAAAAAAAAR!
My smirk turned into a wild grin. No matter which world I'm on, some things never change. Whether it be Mental's hoard or some really hot monster women, it's all the same to me. I'm barely in this city for a few hours and already I'm in the middle of an invasion of some sort. Looks like it's time to put a stop to it and show people that I'm at the top of the food chain here. I saw Druella's eyes widen and she shot straight up into the sky to avoid being turned into Swiss cheese. I kept firing at her while I kept an eye on the ammunition count. The minigun may be a powerful weapon, but the thing eats through ammo like no tomorrow. She kept flying in the air, doing her best to avoid the bullets as fast as I could fire them. She suddenly dove at me faster than I could blink. She tried to close the distance between the two of us, but thankfully, I can run backwards faster than the average man can run forwards. I continued to run backwards while firing. I won't lie, I was getting pretty pissed off since none of my shots were landing. I stopped firing to conserve the ammo and swapped out my minigun for my good ol' chainsaw and our blades collided, sparks being sent flying everywhere. I couldn't give a damn how powerful she is! I defeated a freaking god in battle for crying out loud! Ain't no way I'm losing to some random street walker! I kicked her back as hard as my sneaker clad foot could allow me to. But she didn't budge. Instead, I ended up pushing myself away from her by mistake, leaving myself slightly open. She went in for the kill but I swung my chainsaw down to block her attack. "There's no point in fighting it, Sam. You can't change Lescaties faith." She said with the cockiest smirk I had ever seen.
"Don't tell me what I can't do!" I took out my cannon, much to her surprise, with a single hand and shot at her, the blast from the cannonball was more than enough to knock her back into a building, which then collapsed on her. followed shortly by the cannonball exploding, sending debris flying in every direction. Oh God! I hope these people have enough insurance to cover this. "Yeah, I've got some pretty big balls." I quipped. I saw her rise from the rubble, holding her side while a pained expression was on her face. Looks like it's going to take more than one shot from my cannon to put this one down.
"That actually hurt!" She exclaimed. A mischievous smirk made its way across her as her wing unfurled. "This just got a lot more interesting." Debris fell off of her form as she rose. I kept my cannon trained on her. I blinked and the next thing I knew, she was gone from my sight. Holy shit, how fast is she? I feel warm breath caress the back of my neck and before I could react, I find myself restrained by her damn tail. Her arms slowly wrap themselves around my torso. Holy hell! She's actually pretty strong! She learnt her face towards my ear and whispered "Why fight against this Sam? Believe me when I say we are much better than the order. Just give in. Let yourself be lost in carnal pleasures."
"To hell with The Order! I don't even work for 'em!" I managed to take out my knife and stab it into her leg. She yelped in pain as she let me go. I pulled the knife out and took two steps back from her and picked my cannon back up and aimed it at her. She was gone! I could hear her laughing. I looked up to see her floating in the air, blood running down her left thigh from where I stabbed her. "You're a tough one, Sam, I'll give you that. But You'll give in eventually. Heroes like you always do." She said with confidence. Man, I do not like her one bit. I swapped out my Cannon for the grenade launcher. Let's see how she is at playing hot potato!
"Hey Druella!" I aimed my grenade launcher at her. "Catch!" I launched one grenade at her. Without a moment's hesitation, She summoned a scimitar and cut the grenade in half. The two halves zoomed past her and exploded behind her, making her hair whip around her face wildly. Okay? Looks like she's not messing around. The look on her face says so. The grenade launcher is out of the question. "Let's try a rocket launcher." I brought out my rocket launcher and my first instinct was the run backwards and fire them at her. Hey, it's an old strategy but It works all the time. The problem? As I fired rockets at her, she just effortlessly floated out of the way, avoiding them. So I decided that the rocket launcher wouldn't be the best for the situation and resorted to using the pump-action shotgun. With the speed that could rival a werebull. She charged at me with her blade. Right, because that worked the first time. I shot her with my shotgun and, while she deflected some of the pellets with her sword, some of them had managed to land; penetrating her wings to be more precise, robbing her of the ability to fly. She crashed into the ground hard. I wiped the dirt off my forehead as Druella looked up from the ground and down the barrel of my cannon Fear was the best way to describe her expression.
"Gotcha." I fired my cannon and she was sent flying back from the force of the blast. It was followed by the sight and sound of the cannonball exploding in the distance.
I made my way to her. As I got closer, I saw she was lying on her side with a pained expression on her face. I put my cannon away and brought back out my pump-action shotgun.
It's funny: I killed countless numbers of Mental's army and yet, not a single one had shown any emotion before. I walked towards her with my shotgun resting on my shoulder, her whimpering getting worse with each step I took. Man, this did not feel right. I stopped in front of her and aimed my shotgun and-
"STOP!"
A blue-skinned woman with red eyes and an incredibly worried expression on her face landed in front of me, standing in-between me and Druella. She held her hands up in defense as she slowly approached me. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that she is a monster.
"And you are?" I asked, keeping my shotgun trained on her.
"I am Israfel. I come to you, Sam, pleading so that you may let her live." She explained herself.
"You better come up with a good excuse for this." I told her, making her shift uncomfortably.
"Please, you've done enough. If you kill her, you'll become the most wanted man in the demon realm! You will be hunted by The Demon lord herself " She warned me. "If you leave now, we will let you go untouched"
I fired off a warning shot into the the air, making both of them recoil. I really wasn't paying any attention to her.
"How about I do you one better: All of you leave now and I'll let you live." I said to the two. The demon known as Israfel looked to be caught off guard by my ever so generous offer. Her look changed from fear to morbid curiosity.
"And what if we refuse your offer?" She asked.
"Then I'll just kill each and every single monster in this city, starting with you two." Both Druella and Israfel both had horrified expressions on their faces. "Y-you wouldn't! You can't!" Druella stuttered. I pumped my shotgun with confidence.
"Wanna bet?" I told them. Looks like they took me seriously because Druella forced herself to sit upright and whispered something into Israfel which made the demons' eyes widen with. "Are you sure about this, Lady Druella?" She asked her.
"We can't let anymore Mamono die. Tell them all that we are leaving." Said Druella. Israfel had a hesitant look on her face before nodding her head and flying. Druella turned her attention to me and asked: "Why are you letting me live?"
"I have a message for your mom; tell her sam's coming over the play. And by play I mean kill her." I told her. She let out a shocked laugh.
"You cannot be serious!" She exclaimed.
"Oh believe me, I'm very serious." I said with an added smile for extra effect. Just as I said that, various monsters, ran past me, as Israfel landed next to Druella and helped her up. The two looked before floating off into the air. I have a feeling I'll be seeing her again.
Some time had passed. The streets were silent. Not a single monster in sight. Sam stood in the middle of the street, shotgun resting on his shoulder. Various people that were hiding in buildings came out with a look of disbelief on the faces. This single man had managed to drive out the monsters by himself. With no help from anyone. One cautiously approached Sam, A middle-aged man holding on the the hand of his son.
"Y-you! You drove them out!" He said to Sam
"Yup." Sam simply replied. He looked back at the damage he caused in his battle with Druella and scratched the back of his neck nervously. "Sorry about the damage!"
"It's... fine." 'tis nothing that can't be replaced." The man said to Sam. A rather large crowd of people surrounded Sam, chattering amongst themselves.
"Is there anything, anything we can do to repay you?" He asked.
Sam initially shook his head and raised his hand and said: "Nah, you don't have to-" He, however, began to have second thoughts. "Actually, I could really go for a hot meal and a beer!"
In the heavens above, The Chief God had a small smile on her face as she and the other gods had watched everything that had gone down. Although she was disappointed that Sam didn't kill Druella, she was sure he had his reasons. After the the battle, the other gods had left. All were genuinely surprised with Sam's abilities. All except the God of War, who had an uninterested look on his face.
"So, he is the one who dares to challenge Tah-Um." He said in a bored voice. The Chief God turned to face him with a puzzled look on her face.
"Do you doubt him?" She asked him.
"It is not him that I doubt..." The God of War answered, pointing a single finger at the chief god. "...it is you." The Chief God narrowed her eyes at him. "So far, every single hero you've chosen and blessed has failed, with Wilmarina Noscrim being a recent example, who fell and was transformed in the very same battle that Sam was in." He stopped and let out a frustrated sigh. "You claim that he is the one that will put an end to this. I find that hard to believe. He is but a fool to challenge Tah-Um!"
The Chief God glared at him. She took a deep breath and calmed herself down. "What would it take to convince you otherwise?" She asked.
"Allow me to challenge him. I want to see if he is truly the same man that bested Kukulkán in battle, then I wish to see how he fairs against a god of war."
The Chief god shook her head. Of course he was looking to fight Sam. The God of war always seeks a fight.
"Very well, but you are not to kill him. Now if you don't mind, I need to speak with him."
A smirk grew on the god of wars face. He was looking forward to this eventual fight.
The castle doors burst open. Adam and Lilith both looked on in shock and worried as Israfel carried an injured Druella.
"My Liege, Druella is hurt!" She cried. Both Adam and Lilith were quick to rush over to Druella. "What happened?" Lilith asked. Druella hesitated. She knew how her mother would react if she found out. But there was no way around it. She had to tell her the truth.
"We were attempting to convert Lescatie into a Demon realm in hopes of furthering your influence." Adam shook his head at this. Druella was always the most extreme one growing up. "We were stopped by a single man, however." Both Adam and Lilith froze and looked at one another.
"You don't think?"
"Take her to Greilia, now!" Israfel nodded her head and helped Druella out of the throne room. Adam and Lilith look at one another with worry. "So... she was being serious after all." Said Adam
"A human that can challenge Tah-Um." Lilith whispered. "Where in the world did she find someone like him?! If he can best one of our daughters in battle, who knows what he's going to do to us? She only lives because he let her."
Adam rested his chin on his hand. He had promised to protect his family and he had already failed on that part. "I want a word with him." He said. "I want to know why he's doing this."
In a village, far away from Lescatie, outside of order control, Man and Mamono lived together, side by side, in peace and harmony. Indeed, this place would have been ideal for many.
Would have been that is. Huts and houses were set ablaze.
The stench of iron and burning flesh filled the air as many humans and Mamono laid dead on the ground. A large, bipedal, horned beast roamed the area, neither human nor Mamono. His red eyes glowed in the dark. It's cloven hooves stomped around as it growled. Its sharp horns protruded from its head. Standing at 45 ft (13.7 m), this creature was a sight to behold. Its red eyes examined the area, gazing upon the destruction it had just caused. A mechanical collar was wrapped around its neck with a red light and a single button. It was scouting.
When Tah-Um had sent him to this world to scout for Sam, he told the beast to kill anything and everything it came across. This world was his playground, and it was free to kill as it saw fit. And should it find Sam, he would notify Lord Tah-Um in an instant. The sound of footsteps caught his attention. He turned around to see a human attempting to run for his life. He opened up the palm of his clawed hand and summoned a fire ball. He took aim and threw it at the human. The human screamed as loud as he could in pain. The beast just chuckled at his misery before it stomped its way over to the burning weakling. It raised a hoof and brought it down on the human, killing it right then and there. It looked up into the night sky and at the moon and let out a horrifying roar that could be heard for miles, making its presence known to everything nearby.
A/N: Did you think this story was dead. Sorry if this chapter is a bit messy. I tried to lean into the more of the Serious Sam side of this story and I'm still trying to get the hang of this story.
Now you probably have some questions:
Is Sam pro-order or pro-monster?
Serious Sam is pro-Serious Sam.
Is this a story that just exists for the sake of bashing monsters?
No, there's more to this story and we'll get to it later
Why did you rush into the Lescatie part of this story?
Because we've all seen how it plays out at this point. Plus, Sam's not the type to stay in one place for long. I wanted to try and give you guys something different as well as set the tone for this story.
That's all I have to say for now.
If you have any questions, ask away and I will try my best to answer them.
