The white room. Something that felt familiar to Sam. White emptiness as far as the eye could see. The last thing he remembered was that he left Lescatie after he had the meal he had asked for, and set out on his journey using the route NETRISCA had given him after she studied a map of the world. A familiar voice from behind him then said "I'm disappointed in you, Sam." He turned around to see The Chief God standing before him, with a stern look on her face.

"What? Was it something I did?" Sam asked her. Her expression turned cold.

"I told you to kill any and all the monsters you came across! But you, in all your greatest wisdom, decided to let a daughter of the Demon Lord live!? I demand an explanation!" She had raised her voice to the point of nearly shouting at Sam, who raised his hands in defence.

"Hey, I'm willing to do this job for you. But if I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it my way!" He told her. "Besides, I like a little bit of danger." The Chief God let out a frustrated sigh.

"I understand you would rather do things your way but because you let her live, you just attracted much more attention to yourself. Surely, killing her would've made this quest I gave you much more simple." She said to him.

"Hey, whether I killed her or let her live, I would've attracted attention anyway."

"Can I trust you, Sam?" The Chief God asked him.

"Of course! Why wouldn't you?"

"The last hero I chose to kill the demon Lord betrayed me for her. Since then, I'm still feeling the effects of his betrayal." She looked deep in thought. "Your actions at Lescatie have no doubt attracted the attention of The Order. Due to that, I have sent a Valkyrie to ensure that they leave you be. I cannot afford to let you get distracted because of them!"

Sam listened to every word she said. He could sense no word of a lie coming from her, and yet he felt like she was withholding information from him. Before he could get a word in, the white room around him started to dissolve.

"I believe you're waking up now. We'll talk again soon."

With that, She had disappeared and Sam opened his eyes. He sat up and looked around. He was under a tree, with his pump-action shotgun in hand and a small firepit in front of him that had gone out. Morning had broken. "Wait! When did I fall asleep?" He thought to himself

"Don't be so surprised, big guy. I mean, with all you've done so far, I'm surprised you didn't fall asleep sooner. But now that you're up and about, I suggest that we get a move on. We've got more important matters to attend to. If you continue to keep pace, we should reach this demon lord in about three days tops" Said NETRISCA. In Sam's eyes, she was right. She always was. He got onto his feet, rested his shotgun on his shoulder and followed the road ahead. There was a nearby village up ahead that he hoped he could get armour from.

Druellas' eyes slowly opened. She felt herself laying atop of a soft surface and saw she was laying on her bed in her back at the castle where she grew up alongside her sisters, where her mother and her father currently lived. She slowly rose upward from her bed. Her entire body ached. It hurt to even move. Yet she didn't know how she got like this. She got out of her bed and staggered towards the balcony in her room. She stepped outside. She inhaled slowly and gazed at the red moon which illuminated the Royal Makai. Why couldn't she remember anything? All she could remember was planning to convert Lescatie proceeding with the plan After that? It was all blank. A knock on her bedroom door was heard and she turned her head to see her father peaking his head in through the door.

"Are you up?" He said as he entered her room. "How do you feel?"

Druella paused. Despite her being as powerful as she was, her father was always protective of her and her sisters. Finally, she answered.

"It hurts." She said softly as Adam walked to her bed, while her father cautiously walked over to her. "It hurts all over and I don't know why." Both her and her father sat down at the edge of her bed. "What happened to me?" She asked. Adam gently wrapped his arm around her as he asked her "Would you like for me to remind you?" He asked, to which Druella nodded her head. He gave a recap of everything that happened, according to what Israfel told him, and slowly it came back to her. The one man who managed to thwart her plans. The one man who managed to beat her, a lilim, in battle. The one man who brought her down to her knees and made her feel fear for the first time ever. The man who called himself Serious Sam. Her heart started to race. She felt her father's hand gently squeeze her shoulder in a reassuring manner. "Druella?" She looked him in the eyes.

"I still see his face. How he killed without remorse..."

"Druella..."

"How he threatened to kill us all if we didn't comply with his demands..."

"Druella!"

Druella had ceased her rambling and looked back at her father. "It's okay. You're here, safe and sound, and that's all that matters." Adam embraced his daughter, as she did to him. Druella pulled away from her fathers hug and asked "Where is mother?"

"She's in the throne room. Her and I are currently discussing what we're going to do with this man." He said with a reassuring smile. He got up and said "Please, get some rest." and exited Druellas' room.

Druella laid back outstretched on her bed. She laid there for ten minutes.

Then ten turned into thirty. And thirty turned into an hour. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't rest. His face, his voice and what he did to the other Mamono. It remained in her head, no matter how hard she tried to block it out. Her covered her face with her hands as she whimpered.

I think I can safely say this has been one of my stranger journeys. Being in a world filled with scantily-clad horny monster women? Not my all-time strangest, but it's definitely up there.

The sound of wolf howling could be heard in this distance. I'm going to guess I stepped into wolf territory. Without wasting any time, I left the village and was back on the road, looking at the map and the route I was taking, There was nothing there anyway. As I walked, the wolf howling got louder and closer. I kept my shottie close. I was always ready for an attack. Whether it was a Kleer that was waiting around the corner, waiting to pounce at me with its claws, or an Arachnoid ready to gun me down. I could never let my guard down. Especially not now. Suddenly, something leapt at me from the woods at the side of the path, howling like the wolf I've been hearing. I was quick to duck its attack. After all, it's going to take a lot more to take this B.A.M.F down. I don't even know what I was looking at. At first glance it looks like some woman in dress up. What shot that idea down, however, was the fact that the fur on her looked real. The woman(?) sniffed the air while looking at me. An excited grin spread across her face. "Finally, a man!" She excitedly exclaimed. "You have no idea how long I was searching for one to be my husband!"

"Yeah, like that's going to happen!" I taunted as I aimed my pump-action shotgun at her. I really don't have much time for this, so one shot should do the trick. She got ready to pounce and-

*CRASH!*

I was thrown off my feet and landed hard on the ground. Something fell from the sky and I failed to see it coming!

"What now!?" I grumbled as I got up, readied my pump-action shotgun and aimed it at the crater in front of me. When the smoke had cleared, it revealed what appeared to be a dude wearing an outfit similar to that of a Roman centurion. The guy had Jet black hair, a beard and welded a wicked looking halberd. As for the wolf girl thing? She scampered off and ran away back into the forest, spooked out of her mind.

Why do I get the feeling I'm in danger?

Not a single word was spoken between the two of us.

"Sam Stone!" The man called out. "I am the God of War! I have come to test you, to see if you truly are the bane of Tah-Um!"

Bane of Tah-Um? I've been called many things before but that was not one of 'em. Sounded kinda badass if you ask me. But all of this was happening so fast, my brain needed time to catch up.

"The hell do you want?" I asked him, ever so slightly pissed off.

"I am here to test you." He spoke. "I know of your journey, your quest to save your world. I shall see for myself if you are the one to save us from The One Infinite itself." He slammed his weapon into the ground and proceeded to tell me more useless information.

"Listen! And tremble with fear! I am the God of War!" His voice bellowed.

"The God of War wears a SKIRT!?" I joked with a snort.

Gotta admit, that was probably one of my better one liners yet. Seems like it really pissed him off because he roared and charged at me, fire coming from his eyes as he let out a battle cry and brought his halberd down into the ground and caused geysers of fire to spew out from the ground around me.

"Uh-oh..."

(OST: Serious Sam 3 - Gladiator instrumental)

WAAAAAAAAR!

I narrowly avoided the damn attack. Only twenty-four hours were removed from Lescatie and I'm already caught in another fight.

Some things just never change. I swapped out my pump-action shotgun and brought out the grenade launcher.

Grenade launcher ammo: 36

That should do me. One by one, grenades were fired at the god of war and made direct contact. When the smoke cleared, the god stood there unscathed. A sinister grin spread across his face.

...

...

...

"Oh shit..."

I had just unleashed the god damned beast. He aimed his halberd at me and blasted a beam of concentrated fire. I tried to get out of the way but unfortunately, I didn't get away completely unscathed. The beam managed to hit my side, giving me excruciating pain.

Well that sucks. He took a damn chunk out of me!

"That's it! No more Mr. Nice Sam!"

I whipped out my cannon, aimed it at him and fired. The cannon ball took him off his feet and sent him flying through several trees.

"Where would I be without you?" I said to my cannon. Through thick and thin, this beautiful beast of a weapon had been with me. I heard a growl and looked to see the god of war bearing his teeth, halberd in hand. His veins began to glow. Like almost as if they had been set on fire. His eyes, however, were literally set on fire. He leapt at me with the intention of impaling me with his halberd. I reacted fast enough to avoid being turned into a kebab. He, once again, slammed his halberd into the ground. This time, causing the ground to crack. Fire erupted from the cracks in the ground, some of the flames managed to scorch me.

Jesus! Even that Druella girl wasn't this relentless! This fight felt more akin to fighting one of Mental's cronies! I took out my Tommy Gun and fired it at him. Some of the bullets bounced off the armour he was wearing. I did manage to get him in the arms though. He let out a small but noticeable grunt as the bullets made contact. I swapped out my tommy gun for my flamethrower and tried to set the son of a gun ablaze.

Nothing. Not even the tiniest burn.

"Why did I even think that would work?" I took out my minigun and opened fire at the sucker. He Spun his Halberd, deflecting my bullets, while walking slowly towards me, which in turn made me walk backwards. The God of War gripped his halberd tightly and swung for my head. I ducked and threw my knife at his arm. Unfortunately he swatted it away. I took out my trusty chainsaw and tried to ram it into his gut, but he blocked it with his halberd. I ran backwards to create some distance between the two of us, before taking out my rocket launcher and fired at him.

The blast seemed to make him stumble. I took this opportunity to kick him in the gut as hard as I could, making him fall onto his back. I swng down with the chainsaw but, yet again, he blocked it and pushed me back.

This guy is seriously starting to piss me off! All this fight has done is waste my time and ammo! I whipped out my cannon and, once again, blasted him with it, sending him crashing. This time, I seemed to do some damage to him. I saw him standing up while holding his ribs in pain. Looks like he's finally starting to take damage. I took out my chainsaw and rammed it into his gut with as much force as my body would allow.

The scream he let out. Man, I'm surprised my ear drums didn't burst! He kicked me back hard! Took the damn wind out of me. He brought his hand to the wound in his. I aimed cannon once again and-

"Enough!" His voice bellowed. He lowered his guard and grunted in pain. "Perhaps I was wrong."

I kept my cannon trained on him. "I had my doubts about you. But perhaps you the one to save us from Tah-Um the mad." A smile made its way onto his face. "I thought your victory over Kukulkán was a mere fluke, but I was wong." He bowed his head as a sign of respect. "You have my respect, Sam Stone."

"My ass! "I exclaimed

"Because of you, I've got no armour, and I'm short on ammo!" Seriously, that fight took way more out of me than it should. He better compensate me for this.

"I'm sure The Chief God can help you with that issue." He turned his back on me and looked up at the sky. "I'll be watching you on your journey. Good luck." And just like that, he burst into flames and disappeared. Man, what an asshole. I dusted myself off and looked at my status after the fight.

Man, I hope this journey doesn't become too unnecessarily hard, 'cause that would suck. And with that, I was back on the road. The royal makai was only two and a half days away.

And that's Chapter 5 done. I'm really sorry that this chapter isn't up to snuff. I wrote this in a bit of a panic due to being so behind on this story. If you're wondering what took me so long to update, college and personal life has been really kicking my ass as of late, leaving me with no time to focus on this story.

SilentXD7: Sorry didn't finish with the review and posted uncompleted accidentally lol. As I was saying, the Order/Chief God are very extreme with their methods as well as the Mamono Lord (especially the radicals) so there is no way in hell Sam will join or be convinced. While not all mamono are stranger danger, they heavily rely on corruption and are willing to corrupt children and the fact the human race is slowly diminishing due to mamono corruption is the icing on the cake. Sam would see the Mamono Lord's plan as extremely stupid and naive especially since they still trying to find a damn way to let mamono birth human males (I think) and still have trouble. I personally would Sam to kick the shit out of both sides especially the Gods and demonstrate that humanity would not fall. Again great story and keep up the good work

This is probably one of my favourite reviews I've gotten so far. Thank you very much, you feedback is greatly appreciated.

Saitama1155: why isnt serious sam duke nukem or daniel garner popular in fanfiction you would think those iconic badasses would be everyone on here but no just doomguy serious sam deserves more its why I love authors like you who don't forget them

Thank you. I'd say the reason why Sam, Duke and Daniel don't have much fanfiction is because they're much more niche compared to Doom. On top of that, both Duke and Daniel haven't had a game in a while. Outside of Doomguy, Sam's literally the only one whose had games released throughout the years. it's really sad.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will answer them to the best of my abilities.
