Oliver Warbucks jumped as a little human crawled underneath his legs as he sat at his desk. He placed his pen down on top of the letter he'd been writing and narrowed his eyes. "Margaret Grace, is that you down there? Or is it your brother David?"

He heard giggling and pushed his chair back with his legs to peer underneath his desk, spotting the little children.

"It's both of us!" Five year old David Robert Peachum cackled from his crouched position under the desk, his six year old sister giggling beside him.

"And what exactly are you both doing under there?"

"We're hiding from Frank!" Margaret informed her Grandfather in a hushed tone of voice.

Oliver chuckled. "My darlings, you're supposed to hide separately. Otherwise, who will be chosen as the next seeker?"

"We hide together so neither of us will lose. Then we just take turns hiding and seeking", Margaret explained and Oliver smiled proudly at her. "Well, that's very sportsman-like of you."

"And sportswoman-like!" Margaret exclaimed and Oliver laughed lightly again. "Indeed. Well, I shall make myself scarce so as not to draw attention to you. Good luck!"

"Thanks Wapa!" The children chorused, making Oliver smile again with fondness as he walked out of the room.

His grandchildren, as toddlers, had understandably struggled with the mouthful of saying "Grandpa Warbucks", so his title had been shortened to "Wapa" instead.

Oliver walked to the living room and found his wife sitting on the sofa with their newest grandchild, Rosaline Deidra, who was named after her paternal Grandmother. Grace was bouncing nine-month old Rosaline on her knee and singing something soft and sweet to her.

"Ah, there's my angel", he cooed as he crossed the room.

"To whom are you referring, Mr. Warbucks?" Grace raised her eyebrows at him teasingly.

"Why, both of you, of course", he responded without missing a beat, kissing her and the baby on both of their foreheads.

"She's got some new teeth coming through. Poor little dear's been miserable all morning."

"She looks alright now."

"Well, perhaps that's because you're here. You are the children's favorite, after all", Grace teased her husband. He was still a grump occasionally, but the children adored him in spite of it.

"Now, now", Oliver said warningly in response to her cheekiness.

Grace merely grinned at him, then said, "Did you happen to see where the others got to? I was so focused on Rosaline, I didn't even notice them sneak out of the room."

Oliver chuckled. "Yes, as a matter of fact. Margaret and David are in my office playing hide and seek against Frank."

"Oh, well that's alright. As long as they're being careful."

"I'm sure they will be", he sat down next to his wife and tickled his Granddaughter's chin, making her squirm and giggle.

His wife shook her head in astonishment at him. Sometimes she still couldn't believe this was the same man who'd valued possessions and capital gain far and above everything else in the world.

"Four children is a lot to keep watch over. I only have half as many eyes as children!" She told him wearily.

"We had a lot more than four here once", Oliver chortled.

"Yes, but Molly was the youngest and she was only Frank's age. Little children are more of a challenge."

"Mm, in some ways, and much, much more delightful in others", Oliver beamed at his Granddaughter as she giggled at the silly faces he was making.

Their aforementioned eldest Grandson Frank appeared at the door just then, sounding out of breath. "Wama, have you seen Margaret and David? I've looked everywhere upstairs already and I'm tired."

"Now Franklin, you know the cardinal rule of hide and seek is that you must find them on your own. They can't be too far away", Grace told him fairly, but also trying to hint that they were nearby. To be fair, the house was very large.

Before the nine year old could turn away in frustration, Oliver halted him. "Frank…Why don't you try searching the grounds?"

The boy grinned, thinking his Grandfather must be giving him a clue. "Thanks Wapa!" He ran off with renewed energy.

Grace turned to her husband and shook her head. "You're sending that poor boy on a wild goose chase."

"Children need fresh air", he shrugged.

Grace frowned at him. "You always favor the little ones over Franklin. Why? Is it merely because of his name? No, I know you wouldn't be quite so childish as that."

Oliver rolled his eyes. "Of course not. Though I still can't believe Annie would name her first born child after President Roosevelt - a Democrat!"

"She was still grieving his loss when Frank was born. President Roosevelt was very kind to Annie when she was young, don't forget, and to you and me."

He merely hummed in response and Grace gave him a leveling stare. "Is it more the fact that he was named after Franklin Roosevelt or the fact that Oliver is only his second name?"

His eyes widened at her question. Instead of responding directly to her, Oliver reached for his Granddaughter and took her into his arms. She kicked her legs happily and blew bubbles at him.

"Come Rosaline, let's you and I join your brother outside while he searches for your other siblings. I think your Grandmother needs a rest."

Grace's mouth fell open in indignance at his comment. As she watched her husband walk out the door of the study, carrying the baby girl, she couldn't tamper the smile that came to her face.
