(Lacey's POV)

*Me, Blaze, Amy, Cream, & Cheese stood in front of Team Dark, ready for battle*

Rouge: Make this easy on yourselves, ladies. Give it up. This Sol Emerald is mine.

Blaze: Shadow. This is how you repay my generosity? You know how badly my world needs the Sol Emeralds.

*Shadow didn't say anything & just looked down in regret*

Lacey: Wait, you two have met?

Blaze: He came to my world during his first inter-dimensional battle with Metal Sonic, where I helped him destroy it.

Shadow: That was then. This is now.

Rouge: It's just business, honey. We didn't want this to get messy.

Blaze: Fine. You've chosen your fate.

Rouge: Okay. Maybe a little messy. Omega, do your thing!

Omega: YIPPEE-KI-YAY, PASTEL COLORED RESISTANCE!

*he fired all his weapons at us*

Blaze: Get down!

Amy: Cream!

Cream: Ahhh! Goodness!

Lacey: Watch out!

*Blaze blocked the attacks with a wall of fire. Cream screamed in fear*

Amy: It's okay! I've got you!

Nicole:*off-screen* Hello? I'm detecting huge spikes of heat. Is everyone all right?

Lacey: Everything fine! We're just in the middle of a heated battle!

Nicole:*off-screen* Should I call for back-up?

Lacey: No. I think we're good for right now. But I'll let you know if we do.

Amy: Lacey, find some cover with Cream and Cheese. I've got to help Blaze!

Cream: I - I - I want to help too!

Lacey: No way you're leaving me out of this!

*The wall soon died down*

Rouge: Huh.

Omega: THE FLUFFY CAT WOMAN . . . TRUMPED MY BARRAGE?

Shadow: Have you lost your mind!?

Rouge: Relax! That was to scare them, not - *then Blaze sent a ring of fire around Omega* Hurt!?

*The robot fell on his hands & knees, slightly scorched*

Omega: SUCH DESTRUCTIVE POWER . . . I LIKE YOU! LET US BURN THINGS TOGETHER!

*Blaze looked a little shocked by what he said*

Lacey:*in her mind* Would that count as a love confession?

*Amy rushed in with her hammer, but Rouge dodged it. The Sol Emerald flew out of her hand, but Cream caught it*

Cream: I've got it, Miss Blaze!

*Just then, Omega reached for her*

Omega: AND I HAVE YOU.

*She screamed & threw the Emerald at him. It bounced off him & Shadow caught it*

Amy: Drop it!

*She hit him with her hammer. He let go of the Emerald & I caught it*

Lacey: Blaze! Think fast!

*I threw it to her*

Blaze: At last - !

*But Rouge kicked her, making her miss*

Rouge: Guess again, sweetheart!

*But it bounced off her head & Cheese caught it*

Cheese: ChaOOF!

Cream: Go, Cheese, go! We'll catch up to you!

*He flew through an opening in the roots*

Blaze: You'll never find that tiny Chao through the woods. We win.

Rouge: I'll just take the consolation prize. You summon the grey one just like this, right?

*She grabbed Blaze's wrist & the grey Sol Emerald appeared*

Blaze: Don't - !

*She grabbed it & tossed it to Shadow*

Rouge: Shadow! Warp us out of here!

Shadow: Chaos control!

*But instead of the usual Chaos energy, a blast of fire came out of the Emerald. Which returned to Blaze*

Blaze: That is why I am their Guardian!

Lacey: Awesome, girl!

*Then we all high-tailed it out of there*

Cream: They were mean, but I do hope they're not badly hurt . . .

Amy: They'll be fine! The robot probably enjoyed it!

Lacey: From the way he was drooling over Blaze's fire powers, I'd say that's highly likely.

*Blaze blushed a little at that*

Blaze: Ahem! Thank you for all your help. I am indebted to you.

Amy: All in a day's work for a Freedom Fighter!

Cream: It was a team effort!

Lacey: Happy to help.

Amy: Cream, you fly ahead and find Cheese while we climb out of here!

Cream: If you're sure . . .?

Lacey: Of course. We need to hurry before Shadow and his team recover.

Cream: Okay! I'll meet you at the top!

*She flew up to the top of the wall & the rest of us climbed up after her. As we got closer, I could hear voices*

?:*off-screen* D'awww! Isn't she the cutest little floppy-eared, loud-mouthed, tiny-widdle-bitty fluffy you've ever seen!?

Cream:*off-screen* Oh, um . . . Thank you?

?:*off-screen* Please, can we keep her, Boss? She can be out mascot! I'll feed her and take her for walks and name her Jorge!

?:*off-screen* Knock it off, Bean! I don't have time for your brand of crazy today!

*When we got to the top, we found Cream & Cheese being held captive by the Hooligans & Back was holding the Sol Emerald*

Amy: Hey! You let Cream go right now!

Nack: Oh no. Not her. Not the hammer.

Bean: Hey! It's shouty hammer mc'pain! You and your pretty bunny friend wanna be co-mascots with Jorge!?

Lacey: Excuse me?

*Nack put the Sol Emerald in his hat & jumped on his bike. Bark, who still holding Cream, jumped into the right side-car & Nack threw Bean into the left one*

Nack: Everybody on! We're out of here!

*They drove away on the bike*

Amy: Oh no you don't! C'mon, girls! After - *suddenly, Blaze took off in a burst of fire* Them?

Lacey: I think she's already got that covered.

*We ran after her, Cheese on Amy's head. When we caught up, the Hooligans we scattered everywhere & Nack's bike was a little wrecked, with a few scorch marks on it*

Blaze: "Huff! Huff!" Are you "Huff!" alright, Cream?

Cream: I am now! Thank you, Miss Blaze!

*We soon caught up with them*

Amy: Whew! You're almost as fast as Sonic!

Blaze: What? No, no. I'm quick, but nearly not as fast as -

Cream: Excuse me, but where did the Sol Emerald land?

*Nack still had it*

Bean: "Like candy from a baby" you said. What nursery did you come from, pal!?

Nack: I didn't think she had a freakin' Freedom Fighter with her, okay!

Bean: You were spying on them! You didn't see the Piko-Piko Valkyrie with them!?

Nack: Don't get your ascot in a knot. We've got the gem. We've got it made.

Amy: You'll be made to hurt if you don't hand over that -

*Suddenly, lasers we fired from behind us. We turned around & saw Team Dark, looking a little crispy*

Omega: YOU SHOULD HAVE KEPT RUNNING.

Rouge: The Emerald, ladies. Now.

Lacey: Hold on! We don't have the -

*Suddenly, Shadow & Rouge kicked both me & Amy in the stomach. He got Amy & Rouge got me. Blaze carried Cream away as Omega fired at them. Then The hid behind a tree*

Omega: PLEASE SURRENDER. THINK OF THE POOR TREES!

*Cheese tried to attack, but he just bounced off the robot's head. Then Blaze hit it with a stream of fire*

Blaze: Cream! Go!

*Suddenly, Rouge kicked her from behind & hit her on the head with her elbow. Amy & I tried to attack Shadow, but he teleported away*

Amy: Quit teleporting and fight like a man! *then he kicked both of us, making Amy drop her hammer* Fine! I'll take you on with or without my - !

*Shadow took it & hit both of us. Then everything went black*

(Third-Person POV)

*Shadow has both girl's slung over his shoulders & Rouge dragged Blaze towards him*

Rouge: Whew! After this Feist seems like nothing!

Shadow: Hmph.

*Then Cream came up to them, holding a big stick. Cheese was holding a rock over his head*

Cream: E - Excuse me, but I can't let you do this. Miss Blaze is counting on us, and . . .

*Suddenly, Omega grabbed both of them from behind*

Omega: WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO DO, LITTLE SQUISHY THING?

Cream: Eep! *suddenly, she started crying* It's no fair and you're all so mean! We don't even have the Emerald anymore!

Omega: PLEASE DO NOT CRY, TINY GIRL CREATURE. I DO NOT THINK I CAN HANDLE THAT! EHAT DO YOU MEAN, YOU DON'T HAVE THE SOL EMERALD?

Cream: "Sniff" Th - The smelly weasel man and his friends "sniff" stole it from us!

*That's when Lacey, Amy, & Blaze started to wake up*

(Lacey's POV)

Amy: Nack the Weasel . . . And a couple of goons named Bean . . . And Bark . . .

Shadow: Don't.

Rouge: I know those guys. We can get it back from them easily enough.

Blaze: No . . .

Shadow: Stay down. Please.

*She threw a wave of fire at him*

Blaze: No! You can't! I did not brave the cosmic interstate and dodge the Zone Cop's blockade for nothing! Without the Sol Emerald, my world will die! And I won't let you or anyone else stop me from getting them back!
