Chapter 53: Defying Fate

Also to those of you who don't know Supeherotimefan has created a side story based on this and I even have a few elements from his first chapter in case any of you have read it. We find ourselves in a strange building that looked like it was the site of a huge battle with broken and destroyed furniture everywhere. On the ground was a worn-out Giovanni Zatarra.
Suddenly a portal opened to see Doctor Strange and an Asian man in robes running in. This was Wong.
"Zatarra. What happened?" Strange asks.
"She was here Strange. And my daughter…she." Zatarra groans as Strange helped him up.
Near the center of the room we see what appeared to be a magical seal but next to it was a female Doctor Fate.
"She put on the helmet of Fate." Wong realized.
"Fate!" Zatarra yells getting Fate's attention. "Nabu the battle is over releasing my daughter at once."
"No." Fate declares surprising them both. "Witnessing the havoc here tonight. The world needs Doctor Fate and the girl's natural affinity for the mystic arts makes her the perfect candidate."
"You can't do that. She's just a child. She has her whole life ahead of her. As Sorcerer Supreme—" Strange starts.
"You only have that rank as a technicality because I was away for so long. Do you really think you have the power to bargain with me?" Fate asks.
Growling Strange looked to his amulet around his neck but hesitates.
"Strange don't. You can't risk it over something like this." Wong whispers.
"Even he's not strong enough to break this." Strange said.
Strange was about to open it but at the last second Zatarra stands up.
"Then take me instead." Zatarra offers surprising them.
"Zatarra what are you doing?" Wong asks.
"My skills are already at their peak, my body is physically stronger, better able to handle the strain of your power." Zatarra said.
"All true but if I remove the helmet what guarantee that you will don it?" Fate asks.
"My word." Zatarra said chanting a promise.
"Zatarra think about this. If you do this you might never get to see your daughter again." Strange said as Fate floated down to them.
"I know, but knowing she is able to live her life is more than enough for me." Zatarra said picking up his top hat. "She'll come back Strange. That portal won't hold for long. Send word to Karma Taj."
Looking at Wong, Strange nods telling him to make sure preparations are ready.
As Fate landed in front of him, he took off the helmet revealing Zatanna.
"Dad." She smiles.
"Zatanna." Zatarra smiles hugging her.
"I'm sorry, I thought I was strong enough." Zatanna said.
"You will be. One day your magic will be at its peak and no one will be able to stop you. Remember I love you." Kissing her on the forehead, Zatarra takes his top hat and puts it on her head.
"Dad? What are you talking about?" Zatanna asks confused.
"Strange promise me you will take over my daughter's training." Zatarra asks turning to him.
"You have my word." Strange nods.
Grabbing the helmet from her hand Zatanna gasps. "No dad! What are you doing?!"
"In order to save you from a life as Nabu's host your father offered his in exchange." Wong said.
"What?! No dad don't do it! This was my fault!" Zatanna tried running to stop him but Wong and Strange stopped her. "No please! Dad!"
Taking the helmet, Zatarra put it on his head making him the new Dr Fate.
Bursting into tears Zatanna drops to her knees and sobs.
"Enjoy your new life Fate. One you had to destroy a family to get." Strange glares.
"Don't think you can guilt me Strange. In the grand scheme of maintaining the balance between order and chaos this is essential." Fate said before leaving.
Lifting her head up, Zatanna watched Fate take her father and leave.
"It's all my fault. I did this." She said weakly.
Flashback end:
We find ourselves at Superhero High as Zee woke up with a case of messy bed head.
Making her to the mirror she used her magic to fix it up.
As she checked herself she looked at the picture in a top right corner. On it was a picture of her and her dad at their first show together.
"Hi dad…I miss you." Zee frowns.
Getting dressed she put the top hat on her head and made her way to the cafeteria and spotted quite a few of her Avenger friends along with a few other heroes looking at the TV.
"I can't believe this." Diana said.
"This is messed up." Barbara agrees.
"Hey what's going on?" Zee asks walking over.
"Someone made a musical about our big battle. But look who the main cast is." Kara points.
Looking at the TV they saw actors dressed like Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Spider-Man, Ms. Marvel and Wolverine.
"Save the city help us win!
Save us all from the state we're in!
Things look dark, but I know this can't be the end
There's a future and I know then
With the strength you bring us we'll rise again
Avengers Unite cause we've got to hear you say
I can do this all day!
"Hey where the heck are we?" Zee noticed.
"I know right! We saved the city too." Barbara said.
"And seriously Wolverine? He hates this kind of stuff." Diana said.
"How come we don't get a musical?" Kara asks.
"Hey we didn't write this. Besides everyone knows you guys are part of the team." Brian said.
"Yeah no big deal." Cyborg agrees.
"Easy for you to say Brian you're in this." Johnny said.
"Personally, I think you need a little less spotlight Wonder Woman." Cheetah mutters.
"Although I will say this. There is one hilarious detail about all this." Barbara giggles gesturing to the TV.
"We're here now with one of the actors of Rogers the Musical. The actor who plays Spider-Man. Everyone round of applause for J. Jonah Jameson Jr." The host said as a young man steps out.
"No way." Zee smiles as they all covered their mouths to hide their laughter.
"Oh man Jaden's gonna love hearing this." Miles said.
"Suck on that Jameson." MJ laughs.
"Hey where is Jaden? He's gonna get a laugh out of this." Zee asks looking around.
"He went to see his mom. Apparently one of Fury's SHIELD scientists sent him something." Barbara said.
"Oh…okay." Zee frowns at the mention of visiting family.
As she walked to the line to get food, she didn't notice Doctor Strange watching her with a sigh on his face.
At Jaden's home, Jaden opened a box to reveal 2 red and gold gauntlets with a note.
"The Spider Gauntlets. Made with you in mind. The webs are made with a mixture of vibrainium and titanium to give it the flexible and durability. Making the webs almost indestructible. And the gauntlets themselves can allow you to lift 5 times your weight. If you ever test it I would love to get your opinion on it. One of your biggest supporters Leopold Fitz. Hmm well thanks Fitz." Jaden said examining them.
"Nice to know you have a fan." Maya smiles.
"Hmm guess he had to make a different style since he couldn't figure out the chemical compounds in my webs. Still got to give the dude props for creativity." Jaden said.
"Still might come in handy if you ever run out of webs." Maya said.
"Yeah I think so but right now I think it might be safe if I left these here." Jaden suggests.
"You don't want to use them?" Maya asks surprised.
"Maybe for an emergency but at least this way if any supervillains attack the house, you have something to protect you." Jaden said closing it. "Plus even without my webs I still got powers and other skills."
"Well as long as my son doesn't take the mask off to any villains, I should be fine." Maya smirks.
"I'll try my best mom. Speaking of I better get back to school." Jaden said handing her the box. "Love you mom."
"Love you too." Maya said as he headed out. "Doesn't need it? Please. If I know my son he'll need them sooner or later for something."
Back at Superhero High we find ourselves in the gym as Superheroes were in sparring sessions.
In the center we see Zatanna facing off against Cheetah.
As Zatanna fired magical blasts, Cheetah used her speed to run around dodging them all.
"Too slow magic girl." Leaping Cheetah kicks her in the chest making Zatanna skid back.
"Come on Zee you got this!" Spider-Man said.
"Show her what an Avenger can do!" Human Torch said.
"Stay loose Cheetah!" Vixen calls out.
Rolling out of the way Cheetah sprinted towards Zatanna.
Claws gleaming, she slashes at her forcing Zatanna to dodge.
Swinging her tail, Cheetah nails Zatanna in the chest making her tumble to the ground.
"Stick to magic shows sweetie." Cheetah smirks.
Hearing this Zatanna snaps and remembers someone else saying those words.
"Stick to magic shows sweetie because you don't have what it takes to be a real magician." An arrogant female voice said.
Growling Zatanna stood up to see Cheetah racing in.
"Etativel!" Zee said stopping Cheetah in her tracks.
"Whoa! Whoa!" Cheetah said floating into the air.
Roaring in anger Zatanna flung her wand sending Cheetah smashing to gym equipment and to the ground.
"Geez all that for a magic show pun?" Cheetah groans in pain when Zatanna hurls a blast of magic knocking her back.
"Zatanna!" Wildcat yells stopping the spar. "That's enough."
Panting heavily, Zatanna sees Cheetah slowly get up.
"What the heck?" She groans.
"S-Sorry I guess I got a little carried away." Zatanna said taking off her hat.
As she walked out Spider-Man looked at her worried when he noticed someone by the door.
Narrowing his eyes he saw Doctor Strange was scolding Zatanna before she walked in the opposite direction.
Deciding he was the best bet, Spider-Man went after him.
In Doctor Strange's office, Jaden sat with him.
"Look I know it's not any of my business but is Zee alright? She's not herself." Jaden asks.
"Well that's because today is not a good today for her." Strange sighs.
"What do you mean?" Jaden asks.
"Today's the anniversary of the day Zatanna lost her father." Strange admits.
"Oh you mean when he became the new Doctor Fate." Jaden said surprising him.
"How do you know about that?" Strange asks.
"It was her fear when we fought Nightmare. Plus I am her boyfriend remember." Jaden points.
"Right, right. Look Zatanna is especially anxious today and frankly she would benefit if she could just see her dad even once." Strange said feeling sorry for her.
"So why can't she?" Jaden asks.
"Fate." Strange groans sitting back. "Or to be more specific Nabu, the Agent of Order. He'll never let Zatarra take the helmet off in fear of losing his host. He thinks his priorities take priority over his host."
"Wow…what a dick." Jaden said making Strange snicker.
"Yes he is a giant dick. But sadly, he has a point. Dr. Fate is needed in the world." Strange said.
"Well just because he's needed most of the time doesn't mean he's needed all the time right? I mean you're the Sorcerer Supreme, aren't you? Doesn't that make you, his boss?" Jaden asks.
"I wish. No sadly Dr. Fate was the original Sorcerer Supreme and since he didn't have a host for so long he thinks I only got it on a technicality because he wasn't around to maintain it." Strange explains.
"Well then why don't you march up to Fate and prove to him you are the Sorcerer Supreme and he needs to take you seriously." Jaden insists.
"Me? Go up against Doctor Fate? Kid are you crazy?" Strange asks.
"A little but seriously I know bullies and right now Doctor Fate is like a bully he'll constantly put you down and make you feel inferior as he does whatever the hell he wants until you stand up to him and put that loser in the dumb helmet in his place." Jaden said.
"Hmph you know you might have a point." Strange smiles softly.
Suddenly a portal opened up nearby and Wong steps out.
"Strange. I need a word." Wong said.
"Wong?" Strange said surprised.
"Well looks like you have some stuff to work out. I'll see you later teach." Jaden said getting up. "Hey hope you can help Zee out."
"I'll think about it." Strange said as Jaden walked out.
As Jaden turned and walked to the left, Zee was coming in from the right. Passing by the office she heard the two of them talking.
"The seal is weaking Stephen, she's fighting back." Wong informs.
Gasping softly, Zee moves to listen.
"Are you sure? Like are you 100 percent sure?" Strange asks.
"Yes, by sunset the seal will weaken and she will try to escape." Wong nods.
"We knew this day would come, but not this soon. Go back to Karma-Taj and try to gather a few Sorcerers to meet up with me." Strange said standing up. "And whatever happens don't tell Zatanna."
"Understood, but where are you going?" Wong asks.
"I need to pick something up. I might need an extra hand myself." Strange said creating a portal with his sling ring. "Oh and Wong please lock the door before you leave. I don't need nosy students sneaking in."
As he walked out Wong muttered.
"He can be so oblivious to his surroundings." Wong said creating a portal to prepare when he was zapped by a spell freezing him in place.
"Right back at ya." Zee said revealing her the one who used the freeze spell on him. "Sorry Wong but I need to be the one to do this. I have to make things right."
Slowly closing the door, Zee headed to her room to prepare.
Taking a deep breath, Zee made sure her wand, hat and cards were all organized.
"Time to show I'm not the same person I once was." Zee said when she heard a knock at the door startling her. "Uh who is it?"
"It's me." Jaden calls out.
Slowly Zee opened the door to see his friendly face.
"Hey Jaden what's up?" She said trying to sound happy.
"I just wanted to check on you. See if you were okay." Jaden said.
"Of course, I'm okay why wouldn't I be okay?" Zee asks.
"Zee, Doctor Strange told me. I know why today is hard for you." Jaden said surprising her.
"Jaden I—" She turns to face him and found herself pulled into a hug.
"I know trust me, it's hard losing a loved one, but I want you to know if there's anything you need I'm here for you." Jaden assures.
"Thank you Jaden, but right now I need to do something by myself." Zee said letting go.
"What do you mean?" Jaden asks when he noticed her equipment all lined up on her desk. "Zee where are you going?"
"Sorry Jaden but this is personal. I need to do this." Zee frowns.
"Do what?" Jaden asks. "Do you need help?"
"Not this time." Giving Jaden a kiss on the lips, Zee puts on her hat. "Ezeerf mih rof owt minutes setunim." Aiming her wand at him Zatanna froze Jaden where he stood.
"Don't worry it'll wear off in a few minutes. Hopefully, I'll be back soon." Zatanna said before heading out.
Little did she know TRACE-E slowly crept along the lockers following her.
Once the time wore off on her spell, Jaden gasps finally being able to move.
"Man I got to help her." Jaden said running out of the room, but when he did he ended up bumping into Johnny.
"Whoa? Where's the fire Webs?" Johnny jokes.
"Is everything alright?' Frost asks walking over.
"No time to talk Zee might be in trouble." Jaden said getting up.
"What?" Johnny gasps standing up.
"Where did she go?" Frost asks.
"I don't know she left a few minutes ago." Jaden said.
"Then she could be anywhere." Johnny said when they heard a chirping.
Looking up they saw TRACE-E come crawling.
"TRACE-E." Jaden smiles. "Did you see where Zee went?"
Chirping nodding her head TRACE-E gestures for them to follow.
"Okay I'm starting to see the appeal to this little spider bot of yours." Johnny said.
"You rule TRACE-E." Jaden smiles.
Chirping happily TRACE-E brushes it off flattered by it.
Entering the room they see Wong still frozen in place with the portal still there.
Groaning Wong gestures for them to help him.
"Oh uh, sorry man I don't know magic." Jaden said.
"Me neither." Johnny said.
"Sorry I'm a Science girl." Frost cringed.
Chirping TRACE-E asks what they were gonna do.
"I know Zee said she wanted to do this on her own, but she is not in the right mind." Taking out his mask Jaden put it on.
"Sorry buddy we're just gonna borrow your portal real fast." Spider-Man said.
"Groan if you don't mind." Johnny said but Wong just growled frustrated.
"Sorry no time to argue." Frost said as they ran through it.
In an unknown location we find ourselves atop a giant tower, there Doctor Fate stood atop it looking out at the city, specifically in the direction of Superhero High.
"Should have known you would be out here." Turning around Fate sees Doctor Strange walk out of a portal.
"You have no right trespassing on my tower Strange. Speak your business now or I will dispose of you." Fate threatens as Strange walks up to him.
"Fulfilling my role as a teacher…and teaching you a lesson." Using his magic Strange strikes Fate in the helmet allowing him to enter the deepest parts of the Helmet of Fate.
Appearing in it, Strange looks around to see there was nothing there but one light shining down on him.
"I should have done this years ago." Strange said as a green line of magic circles wrapped around his arm.
Seconds later, Fate appeared across from him in the room.
"Strange you dare intrude on my domain and strike me into my own mind." Fate acknowledged.
"Nabu, I've come to bargain!" Strange calls out.
"You've come to die. This is my domain. No one orders me around." Fate said.
"Not this time." Strange said taking a stance.
Firing an energy whip, it wraps around Fate's arm.
"Foolish human!" Fate roars creating a giant ankh and it fires a beam disintegrating Strange into nothing.
However, time suddenly began to rewind to the point they met again.
"Nabu, I've come to bargain!" Strange calls out.
"Foolish Human." Fate said before pausing. "What is this? An illusion?"
"Nope, this is real. It's time to put you in your place." Strange said.
"Good." Fate said attacking Strange again but just like last time Strange reappeared.
"Nabu, I've come to bargain!" Strange calls out.
"What is this?" Fate asks in disbelief.
"While you are correct Nabu if we are both inside the helmet it is your domain but I brought a little something from the outside world." Strange said revealing a green light from his pendant and the magic line looped around his arm. "This is Time. Endless looped time and I'm gonna use it to finally knock you down a peg."
"You dare!" Fate roars creating a giant ankh.
"Oh crap." Strange said as he was obliterated only to reappear.
"Nabu, I've come to bargain!" Strange calls out.
"Why are you doing this now of all times?" Fate asks.
"Because Nabu you claim to do everything in the name of order, but to everyone else you are just a selfish asshole with a fancy helmet." Strange said.
"In the Grand Scheme of—"
"Oh shut the fuck up!" Strange interrupts. "This has nothing to do with your stupid balance garbage. This is about you thinking you can do whatever you want and not care about the little things you screw up along the way."
"Zatarra. That's what this is about. He made this choice on his own." Fate said.
"Because you threatened to take his daughter from him. I didn't have the guts to call you out on it before but I do now." Strange said.
"What happened to you to make you go to such lengths?" Fate asks.
"Because someone helped me see the truth. This is how things are now. You pull crap like this and people will come after you. No more doing what you want without any consequences Fate." Strange declares.
"You can't do this forever." Fate said.
"Actually yes I can. You and me trapped in this moment inside your helmet for eternity." Strange said.
"Then you will spend eternity dying." Fate declares.
"Pain is an old friend." Strange said taking a stance. "Come and get me you Giant Dick!"
Meanwhile, we find ourselves in the strange building where Zatarra became Fate when Zatanna walks in through the portal.
Looking around Zatanna let out a sigh.
Walking up to a book shelf we see a photo on the end of a young Zee with her dad posing together in a magic show.
"Home sweet home." Zatanna smiles softly.
Fixing the hat, Zatanna made her way towards the center of the house in the main hall.
Looking to the clock we saw the hands reach 7 causing it to ring 7 times.
Preparing herself, Zatanna waited until the last ring went off and suddenly she heard a loud noise echo through the halls.
Appearing at the opposite end of the hall a large golden seal appeared as something was trying to escape.
As a hand with black finger nails claws out of it, we hear an amused chuckle.
"Well, well look who it is. The little magical wannabe." A female voice said.
Exiting the portal, we see an adult woman with long brown hair wearing a silver crown with sharp points, in a green dress with a skull necklace around her neck. (Google Ultimate Spider-Man Morgan Le Fay)
"Morgan Le Fay." Zatanna declares.
"Well this is quite the nostalgic reunion. The same girl who greeted me all those years ago back to do the same thing again." Morgan chuckles.
"I'm not the same girl I once was." Zatanna said.
"So you say. How's daddy by the way? Still wearing your helmet?" Morgan smirks.
Growling Zatanna drew her wand and fires a blast of magic that flew towards Morgan.
Holding out her hand, Morgan creates a barrier deflecting the attack.
"Please tell me that's not the best you got." Morgan said when suddenly cards flew in and one cut her cheek making her cringe in pain.
Growling Morgan looks to see the cards spinning around her.
"I've learned a few tricks since the last time. Kcatta reh morf lla sellnga!" Flying in the cards attacked Morgan from all sides.
Holding out her hands, Morgan makes dark magic appear that burnt all the cards to ash.
"You may think you've grown little magician but in my eyes you're still the same inexperienced little runt trying to be at the big kid table!" Swinging her arms Morgan blasts Zatanna knocking her to the ground and the wand out of her hand.
Looking up Zatanna sees Morgan dive down towards her.
Swinging her hands down Morgan creates a giant sphere of dark magic and hurls it down towards Zatanna.
Taking off her hat, Zatanna holds it and the hat creates a powerful vortex sucking up the attack.
Growling Zatanna held her ground trying to consume the entire attack, but didn't notice Morgan jump down across from her.
"Surprise!" Morgan grins waving her arms sending dark tendrils flying smacking Zatanna in the chest stopping her spell resulting in the orb exploding sending her flying into the next room and crashing into a table.
Walking towards her Morgan let out an evil cackle.
With a wave of her hand, she took the flames coming from the candles making them expand in size and trap Zatanna in a ring of fire.
"Well isn't this familiar? You on the ground about to be beaten. The only difference is this time daddy isn't here to save you." Morgan said when a web flew grabbing Morgan from behind.
"No but her boyfriend is!" Spider-Man said yanking her in before throwing her across the room.
"Flame on!" Erupting in flames, Human Torch flew in and rams into Morgan knocking her to the ground.
Racing in Frost uses her ice powers on the flames to make them disappear in a cloud of steam.
"Spider-Man what are you—" Zatanna asked as he ran to help her up.
"I know I know you said you had to do this alone but I was worried about you and wanted-
Before he could finish Zatanna hugs him tightly.
"Thank you. I'm sorry you must be so mad at me." Zatanna apologizes.
"Trust me, I know what you're going through and you can always make it up to me later." Spider-Man said.
"Aw isn't that sweet. I hate sweet." Morgan hisses getting up to see the 4 teens standing across from her. "Children. I hate children."
"So Zatanna you gonna introduce us?" Human Torch asks.
"Everyone meet Morgan Le Fay." Zatanna said picking up her wand.
"Morgan Le Fay? THE Morgan Le Fay?" Spider-Man asks surprised.
"Wait as in Camelot, Knights of the Round Table, King Arthur's sister Morgan Le Fay?" Frost asks.
"The very same." Zatanna nods. "We can't let her leave this house."
"You magicians are all alike you think you can stop me from bringing darkness to the entire world so you seal me away, but you can't hold me forever." Morgan smirks.
"Well then Morgan I guess we'll just have to beat you so hard you don't break free for a very long time." Human Torch said.
"Hope you don't mind a little backup this time." Spider-Man said looking to Zatanna.
"No thanks begging to think doing things on my own is the wrong way to go." Zatanna said.
"Atta girl." Spider-Man said.
"4 children stand in the way between me and eternal darkness…I like my odds." Morgan grins as darkness surrounded her hands.
"Here she comes!" Spider-Man said as Morgan went on the attack.
Back with Strange, his spell was still going on and as Fate tried to kill him again and again but Strange just kept coming back.
Slowly getting up, Strange was panting heavily.
"You cannot defeat me Sorcerer Supreme!" Fate roars.
"No, but I can lose again and again and again. That makes you, my prisoner." Strange said with a weak smirk. "And didn't you once say the world needs Doctor Fate?"
Roaring Fate blasts Strange setting things back to square one.
"Nabu I've come to—"
"Stop! Release me from this at once!" Fate roars.
"No, like I said before. I've come to bargain. The only thing you're getting out of this is your freedom." Strange said.
"What are your terms?" Fate asks admitting defeat.
"The world may need Doctor Fate but I know for a fact some people need Zatarra. If you agree to my terms, I will break the loop and set you free." Strange bargains.
"You would do all this for my host?" Fate asks.
"Yes because I'm not the same Sorcerer I was last time we met. I'm an Avenger now. If we can't save someone, we'll avenge them. Now do we have a deal?" Strange declares.
"You have my word." Fate said.
"Still think I earned the title Sorcerer Supreme on a technicality now?" Strange smirks seeing he got him. 'Thanks Spidey I owe ya one.'
With the young heroes, the battle between Morgan Le Fay was getting wild as the fights spread through the rest of the house.
"You know I always hoped I'd see your home Zatanna but not like this." Spider-Man said swinging around avoiding dark magic.
"Yeah I was still working out when and how I would bring you here." Zatanna admits throwing a card in front of Spider-Man which grew in size taking the attack for him.
"You know Morgan for an evil old lady you really have issues." Spider-Man said landing across from her.
"Old? Evil sure but I am not old." Morgan said waving her arms and large pillars of earth shot out of the ground making it difficult for Spider-Man to swing and Human Torch to fly around.
"Yeah, you are lady. Do you have any idea how many centuries have passed since Camelot?" Human Torch asks.
Moving in Frost held out her hand creating giant ice pillars to cancel out Morgan's stone pillars.
Using her magic, Morgan turns to the stone into sharp spears that pierced Frost's pillars sending chunks of ice flying at them.
Firing a web, Spider-Man pulls Zatanna out of the way.
"Gotta say I can really see why you hate her so much." Spider-Man said.
"That seal they used wasn't strong enough to hold her for long. Buy me some time to figure out a new one." Zatanna said as they landed by the bookshelf.
"You got it." Spider-Man said about to turn away.
Grabbing a book, Zatanna began flipping through the pages.
Nearby Frost and Morgan were clashing.
As Frost released her ice attack Morgan countered with Darkness forcing Frost back until Human Torch flew in and pulled her to safety.
"What's going on? You should be putting her on ice." Human Torch asks.
"I've been using my powers all day in classes. I need heat to recharge my powers." Frost said.
"Say no more." As flames surrounded his hands Human Torch touched hers giving Frost a flaming recharge.
"Oh yeah much better." Frost grins.
Holding up her hands Frost hurls a barrage of icicle spears that were flying toward Morgan.
Using her magic, Morgan makes a barrier to deflect.
Joining in Human Torch releases a powerful fire attack that smashed against the barrier.
As the intense heat and cold pressed against it Morgan began to sweat as she struggled to keep it back.
"Heads up!" Spider-Man calls out firing a web at Morgan's feet and pulls sending her flying into the wall.
Firing multiple webs, Spider-Man pins her to the wall.
"Zatanna we could really use that seal right about now." Spider-Man said.
Flipping to one page, Zatanna smiles. "I got it." Taking out her wand, Zatanna waved it. "Dens su ot eht niam yawllah!"
Teleporting them to the main hallway we see several suits of armor lined up.
"Rookie mistake because now I'm free from those annoying webs of yours." Morgan smirks.
Waving her wand, Zatanna focused her magic into one of the suits of armor.
"Get her to the armor!" Zatanna said.
Following her lead, Human Torch flew in.
Turning towards him, Morgan blew a dark smoke at him blinding his view and allowing her to shoot him out of the sky.
Using her ice to race through the hall, Frost landed in front of her.
Swinging her arm, she attempted to freeze her where she stood but Morgan dodges and nails her in the chest with close-range spells sending her falling backwards.
Swinging in, Spider-Man fires webs hitting Morgan in the face.
"Can't use magic if you can't see!" Spider-Man said before nailing her in the face.
Stumbling back, Morgan rips the webs off her face.
"You know you and Zatanna deserve each other. Both of you are an annoying pain in my side." Morgan growls.
"Uh Zatanna? Any chance you can hurry up a little?" Spider-Man calls out.
"I can't. I need to finish the seal." Zatanna said.
"Well then perhaps we can help." A familiar voice said.
Turning around they saw Doctor Strange and Doctor Fate enter through a portal.
"Strange." Spider-Man and Human Torch smiled.
"Fate?" Zatanna said not expecting him.
"Mind if we step in?" Strange asks.
"By all means." Human Torch said as the two Sorcerer Supremes stepped forward.
Slamming her hands to the ground Morgan created a dozen spheres of darkness the flew towards them.
Holding his arms out Doctor Fate made a golden ankh to deflect the attacks.
"I unleash the Winds of Watoomb!" Strange declares as a powerful gust of wind blew sending Morgan skidding back until she regained her footing.
Making magic circles appear on his arms, Strange hurls energy whips wrapping it around Morgan's arm.
Moving in Doctor Fate fires a golden beam nailing Morgan in the chest knocking her towards the armor.
"One more outta do it." Strange said.
"Yes. Let's end this." Fate said with a hint of anger in his voice.
"Hmph is that a little Zatarra in your voice?" Strange smirks.
"No! I refuse to go back!" Morgan yells as darkness enveloped her arms before unleashing a powerful beam of darkness that tore up the ground as it flew toward the two sorcerers.
Moving forward Fate fires his own beam attack clashing with her.
"Rings of Raggadoor!" Strange yells as 7 rings flew through the beam and bound Morgan's arms allowing Fate's attack to overpower hers sending Morgan flying back and banging against the suit of armor causing it to glow.
"Now!" Zatanna calls out.
Holding up their hands, Doctor Strange and Doctor Fate create the seal.
Glowing bright golden bindings shot out and wrapped around Morgan's arms and legs.
"No! No! Not again!" Morgan yells struggling to break free.
"Shows over Morgan." Zatanna said delivering a powerful punch to the face making her nose bleed.
"You little brat!" Morgan yells before she was yanked into armor and trapped inside.
"That outta hold her." Strange said.
"About time you showed up." Spider-Man said.
"Sorry took a little longer than I thought to stand up to him." Strange winks.
"I can't believe you came." Zatanna said walking up to Fate.
"To maintain Order, Morgan Le Fay needed to be stopped. However, I am also here for another reason." Fate said.
"What?" Zatanna asks confused.
Slowly Stranged turned to Fate.
"You remember our deal?" Strange asks. "No backing out."
"I am aware of the terms, for 24 hours, 7 times a year." Fate nods.
"What are you talking about? Zatanna asks.
"Let's just say I finally stepped up as Sorcerer Supreme." Strange smiles.
Reaching up, Fate pulls off his helmet and Giovanni Zatarra appears.
"Zatanna." He smiles.
"D-Dad?" Zee said speechless.
Slowly approaching him, she was unsure if this was really happening.
"What is this?" She asks.
"Stephen struck a bargain with Fate. 7 times a year for an entire day I get a break from being Doctor Fate and I can spend it with you." Giovanni smiles.
"R-Really?" Zee smiles widely.
"You were so brave against Morgan back there. I'm so proud of the magician you've become." He smiles and immediately Zee hugs her dad.
Smiling Frost and Johnny were so happy for them.
"Let's give these 2 some alone time." Strange suggests.
"Good idea." Frost said.
"By the way do any of you know where Wong is?" Strange asks.
Instantly the 2 of them paused realizing he was still frozen in place in Stephen's office. "Whoops."
"Dad there's someone I want you to meet." Zee said as Spider-Man took of his mask.
"Uh pleasure to meet you sir. My name's Jaden I'm uh dating your daughter." Jaden admits getting his attention.
"A boyfriend? Well Jaden, was it? How knowledgeable are you in the mystic arts?" Giovanni asks.
"Uh does being able to do that thing where it looks like you pull your thumb off count?" Jaden cringed making Zee giggle.
"Jaden's been there for me through some very tough times. It's thanks to him I was able to take down Morgan this time." Zee said.
"We can talk about this later. Right now, you and your dad have a lot of catching up to do." Jaden smiles.
"Yeah we do. What do you say dad?" Zee asks.
Smiling Giovanni waves his wand and the whole house was fixed up, but we also see two chairs pulled up alongside a fire with a tray of tea and snacks.
"I want to hear everything." Giovanni said.
As the two of them sat down Jaden couldn't help but smile happy for Zee. She finally got her dad back, and he could tell this meant the world to her.
