Ch. 2: New Years Day Morning
written 6/29/23
The next morning Stan woke up to find Wendy in bed with her arms wrapped around him. "Man, this is like something out of a dream." Stan thought to himself as he smiled
down at her. He kissed her lightly on her forehead to which she awoke. "Oh, good morning Stan." said Wendy and then she suddenly noticed that she still had her arms
wrapped around him. "Oh I'm sorry." She removed her arms from around Stan. "For what?" inquired Stan. "Well, we're not dating technically." she explained. "So I thought
that maybe I was wrong to do that." Stan just smiled and said something that touched Wendy on a very emotional level. "Well Wendy you're right." he said. "However, I know
from last night's events that that is not true." "How do you mean?" asked Wendy getting more curious. "Well let me explain." began Stan. "True or False last night you kissed
me." "True." answered Wendy. "That's something that people who love each other do, right?" Stan asked looking at Wendy for confirmation. "Right." said Wendy with a slight
nod. "Dating is being with someone you love, and enjoy doing stuff with them." said Stan. "That's true." stated Wendy. "Wendy I've loved you since the day we met." said
Stan. "I've always felt the same way about you." replied Wendy. "Then, by my logical standing we have always been dating." Stan declared. Wendy then began to cry tears of
happiness, and resumed her embrace of Stan. Stan accepted the embrace and returned the gesture. Then Wendy said something that Stan had secretly been hoping to hear
from her. "You know what Stan, I think we should give dating each other officially another shot." Stan went wide eyed and smiled. "I was so wanting to hear that from you,
and I'd feel so lucky to have you back in my life." he cried in happiness. Suddenly Stan initiated a makeout session with Wendy who was quite surprised based on their
childhood history. Once they stopped making out, Stan brushed Wendy's hair to the side. "Babe, can I make you breakfast?" he inquired. "Sure that would be lovely." replied
Wendy. "What are the choices?" "Well, there's Lox which I can make on an everything bagel with cream cheese and capers." began Stan. "Mmm sounds pretty fancy." said
Wendy. Stan continued with the choice offerings. "I can also make you bacon and eggs, waffles and pancakes even french toast with maple syrup." Wendy's mouth started to
water. "Also to top it off when it comes to the subject of the pancakes I can make them with chocolate chips, blueberries, or just plain." Stan said after he finished listing the
rest of the choices. "I don't know what to choose, but I am in the mood for something sweet." Wendy stated with a smile. "So surprise me." "Alright then, I'll go get your
sweet surprise of a breakfast ready." Stan replied as he got up out of bed. He put on his robe, and proceeded to the kitchen to make the sweet choice breakfast for Wendy
and himself. "I think I'll make the sweet choice of chocolate chip pancakes." Stan said to himself as he made his way to the pantry to get out the chocolate chips and pancake
mix.
While Stan was getting breakfast ready Wendy decided to get out of bed and change, but she didn't have any spare clothes. "This will be somewhat embarrassing." she
thought to herself. "Hey Stan." she called from the bed. "I don't have a change of clothes, is there a robe I can borrow?" "Sure, hold on just a minute." Stan replied as he put
the pancake mix to the side and make his way to the bedroom. He then stopped outside the door and inquired out of respect to his girlfriend before making his way in. "Are
you decent?" "Thank you for asking Stan." she answered sweetly. "Unfortunately, I'm half naked." "Oh, umm, okay." said Stan sensing the dilemma. "Well, is it okay if I
quickly come in, get the robe from the closet, and leave?" "Sure, but just don't look." Wendy said hesitantly. "I promise I won't look." Stan said reassuringly. "Okay, then
come in." Wendy replied. True to his word Stan ran into the room, looked through his closet, found the robe, laid it on the bed, and left the room. "Okay babe, I'm out of the
room and the robe is on the bed." said Stan. "I'm just going to finish making breakfast." "Thank you sweetheart." Wendy replied. "I'm just going to freshen up which should
take no more than five minutes." With that she proceeded to the bathroom to take a shower after which she picked the robe up off the bed, threw it on, and tied it up.
Stan began to stir the pancake mix and the chocolate chips. Once he completed that task he got out his heart shape maker (like a cookie shaper), and frying pan. He poured
all the pancake mix into the frying pan and set the stove to medium heat. After that he made six heart shaped chocolate chip pancakes and set three on two plates for Wendy
and himself on the counter. Then he set the kitchen table with napkins, utensils, and maple syrup down on the place settings for Wendy and himself. Wendy was set up in the
chair adjacent to his. He was just about to knock on the bedroom door when suddenly Wendy opened it. Stan was in awe of her despite the fact that she only had a robe on.
"I hope you don't mind, but I wanted to take a quick shower and brush my hair." said Wendy. "No not at all, you look great." Stan answered. "I only just finished setting up
breakfast." "Thank you sweetie." replied Wendy. The couple made their way toward the kitchen. Wendy took a look at the amazing spread set on the kitchen table. "Oh my
god!" Wendy exclaimed. "You didn't have to do all this!" "Yes I did because my most current objective was to make something sweet for someone sweet." Stan replied.
"Thanks love." said Wendy giving Stan a kiss. As they both started eating a thought popped into Wendy's mind. "Hey Stan, can I ask a favor of you?" Stan simply looked up at
her. "Sure, you can and I'll make it happen if it's reasonable." he replied. "Is it okay if I stay here with you for a while?" Wendy asked in a humble voice. "Sure, but why?"
Stan inquired. "Well, mainly because I didn't know I was gonna stay in South Park for as long as I have been." Wendy explained. "Well I guess it would be fine seeing as how
we are starting a new relationship." Stan answered in a logical tone. The minute she heard her boyfriend's reply was the minute she could tell that, unlike other guys she'd
dated in the past, he truly cared for her well being. "Oh thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!" Wendy exclaimed as she got up and flung herself at Stan
who almost choked from her hug. "No problem my love." he replied. "Since it's so huge I figure we can share the same closet." "I don't care sweetheart." Wendy said giving
Stan a kiss. "I'm just grateful to be with you." "Well, what do you say we finish breakfast, and go to the Hilton Max Hotel room that you're staying in." Stan began. "Then I'll
get my clothes, and bring them to the car." added Wendy. "After that we'll come back, bring them inside, and sort them in the closet." Stan finished. They nodded to each
other and finished up their breakfast.
Happy early 4th of July! Sorry for the wait long writer's block plus work!
