Chapter 1: Life is like a hurricane
Hey guys/girls/others, I'm back with another new story. This time, it's about Ducktales (more specifically the Ducktales reboot from 2017, why do you think I teased this story with Gosalyn from Darkwing Duck). This story takes place before Hector Parker moved to Canterlot (so when he was about 14) and there will be a new persona for Hector called the Crimson Quacker (don't ask). And don't worry, Canterlot Avengers: Endgame is coming soon. Anyways, with that out of the way, I'm throwing out the usual disclaimer.
Author's note: Hector's family used to live in New York, more specifically in Queens so that's why there's a shed in New York.
Disclaimer: I do not own Ducktales, its characters, or the Disney afternoon cartoon characters in the show. They are all owned by the Walt Disney Company. I only own Hector Parker because he is my OC. If there are any songs that are in this story, I don't own the song or lyrics, some lyrics might be changed. If the song is a parody, I don't own the original. Anyways, enjoy.
It was a nice… stormy night, and Hector Parker was watching his favorite show, Ducktales. More specifically, the reboot of the series. Anyways, while Hector was watching the show, he wondered what it would be like to live in the world of Duckburg.
"Hector, me and your dad are going out for a little while to take care of some work stuff," said Storm Parker, Hector's mother. "Do you think you can take care of yourself for a little while?"
"Mom, I'm fourteen years old. I think I can take care of myself for a little while," said Hector. His mom then kissed his forehead and left the room. "Man, I'm home alone for the night, I wonder what I can do."
Suddenly, Hector heard a noise outside of his house. "Hey, who's there," he said looking out the window, where he saw a glow coming from the shed. He then grabbed his raincoat and umbrella, and went outside.
Once he was outside, he went to the shed and slowly opened the door, revealing a large glowing red portal.
"Cool," said Hector. Suddenly, an electric rod grabbed Hector and dragged him to the portal.
Somewhere in another dimension…
Hector was dropped out of the sky and landed in a tree… before the branch he was on broke, causing him to fall down to the ground, giving him a mild concussion.
After a few minutes, Hector finally woke up in what appeared to be a park. "Ow, my head. Where the hell am I?" asked Hector.
"You're in St. Canard," said a girl's voice. Just then, a girl stood in front of Hector, except she wasn't human… She was a duck. "Hi there."
"Hello," said Hector in confusion. He then looked at his hands and realized that he had turned into a duck. "What planet is this?!"
"Um, earth, last time I checked," said the girl. She had red hair in a ponytail, green eyes, Latina feathers, a jacket with a number one on top of where her heart is, black pants, and green sneakers. "Anyways, I saw you fall from the sky, you took a pretty big bruising."
"You saw that. Do you know what happened?" asked Hector. He also had Latino feathers, but his outfit remained the same.
"Yeah, my grandpa's machine opened up a portal, it must've sucked you into our dimension," said the girl. "By the way, my name is Gosalyn. What's your name?"
"First off, my name is Hector Parker. And second, if this is another dimension, then that means there's a multiverse of dimensions," said Hector. "But is there anything your grandfather could do to help me get home?"
"That's the problem, he only turns on the machine once every week," said Gosalyn. "But I know someone else who can help you. Follow me."
She then led the former human to the city limits, which revealed… Duckburg. "Wow, the hometown of Scrooge McDuck," said Hector. "With his experience in mystical arts and the supernatural, he can help me find a way back home!"
"That's pretty much my plan," said Gosalyn. "Wait, how do you know who Mr McDuck is?"
"It's a long story, but I'll explain on the way there," said Hector, as the two ducks made their way to McDuck manor.
A few minutes later…
Once the two ducks made it to McDuck manor, they began to finish the conversation they've been having for the past few minutes.
"So let me get this straight, in your dimension this whole dimension exists as a cartoon that you watch," said Gosalyn, trying to comprehend what Hector was saying.
"Yes," said Hector.
"And I'm one of your favorite characters," said Gosalyn.
"That's right," said Hector.
"And the show is a reboot of a classic cartoon that your parents used to watch as kids."
"Yerp."
"And I'm a rebooted version of a character from your world's version of the old Darkwing Duck show."
"Yuppers."
"Wow, this is a lot to take in," said Gosalyn. "And this world of yours is ruled by these creatures called humans. What are they like?"
"Some are kind, some are bad, and some are somewhere in between," explained Hector. He then remembered why they were here. "Anyways, what's the plan to get in there?"
"Don't worry, leave that to me," said Gosalyn. She then pulled out a ladder that she stole on the way here, and set it up next to the fence. "Surprisingly this is the easiest way to get in. You're on your own from here, I gotta get back to grandpa."
"See ya, maybe you and I will meet again someday," said Hector, as he made his way into McDuck manor, while Gosalyn went back to St. Canard. "Okay, I just have to find Scrooge or Huey Dewey and Louie, and ask them for help. How hard can that be?"
Suddenly, the front door opened and rope surrounded Hector and dragged him into the mansion.
Five minutes later…
Hector woke up in a strange room, where he was tied to a chair. "Hello, is anyone there?! I think there's been a misunderstanding about me breaking in," said Hector. Just then, he heard a voice.
"Who sent you? Glomgold! Ma Beagle! Answer me!" said the voice that sounded very familiar.
"Don't hurt me, I bring you no harm! I just need help getting home," said Hector.
"What in Dismal Downs is going on here?!" said a Scottish accent. Just then, the lights were turned on, revealing the two voices to be… Scrooge McDuck and Webby Vanderquack. "Webby, what are you doing to this boy?"
"I don't know Scrooge, but I think he was trying to rob us," said Webby.
"What?! I was just trying to ask for help, but Webby tied me to this chair before I could even enter this house. By the way, nice place you got here," said Hector, as Scrooge untied him from the chair. "Thanks, I'll find a way to repay you someday."
"No need lad, as long as you don't sue us," said Scrooge.
"It's okay, my lawyer is out of town anyway," said Hector. "Oh, where are my manners? My name is Hector Parker and I'm from another dimension."
"Oh yeah, prove it," said Webby, causing Hector to show her photos on his phone. "Okay, but how did you get here?"
"Girl, I have got a whopper to tell you," said Hector. Just then, Huey Dewey and Louie entered the room.
"What's going on here? Also, who's this?" said Huey.
"Is he a long lost relative?" asked Dewey.
"Or is he another shadow of Magica De Spell?" asked Louie.
"Nope, but I've got a long story to tell you," said Hector.
Six minutes later…
"And that's the whole story," said Hector, finishing up his story. "Pretty sure that I'm gonna be here for a while. But now I need a way to get home, so I was hoping you guys could help me."
"Okay, so you're from a dimension where we exist as a tv show, and you got sucked into our world by a red portal, and you broke into the mansion to ask for help," said Dewey.
"Yep, that's pretty much my situation in a nutshell," said Hector. "So can you help me or not?"
"I guess we can help you, but you'll have to stay here for a while until we can figure out how to get you home," said Scrooge.
"Great, but I'm tired. Where can I sleep?" asked Hector.
"You can sleep in Huey, Dewey, and Louie's room," said Scrooge.
"What!?" said Huey, Dewey, and Louie.
"Don't worry guys, you'll barely know I'm there," said Hector. The four ducks went to the triplets' room, where they got an extra bed ready for Hector. "Wow, this has got to be the best day of life. Well, good night guys."
"Good night, new buddy," said Dewey, as they all drifted off to sleep.
Okay, I think that's enough for now. Thanks so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed this story. Also, I worked on this so quickly because I'm so excited for it. Please rate and follow in case you want more, I'll see you in the next chapter.
