"... And that's why we should make our first advertisement as a musical number," Blitzo concluded, standing in front of a whiteboard with pin-up crude sketches. In the conference room, Blitzo had spent about an hour pitching an idea for a televised ad for their business. For the most part - he thought - it was a great idea. A little dance, a catchy jingle, and a quick thirty explanation of their business and where to find them would help more souls in Purgatory. He looked at his employees, reading their faces to gauge how good this might be. Moxxie seemed curious. Millie looked intrigued. And Loona… Her head was face down on the table, so she was trickier to read.

"So what do you guys think?" he asked.

Moxxie rubbed his chin, "I mean… in theory, it could work? Of course, if I were to write the music, I would need some time to write it well enough."

"Sure thing," Blitzo nodded, "But remember, it doesn't have to be anything too long, just something quick, snappy, and a tune that will give people earworms for years."

"No promises, but at least I will try."

"Great!" Millie raised her hand. "Yes?"

"Do we even have enough money for something like that? Besides, who is gonna film it and all that?"

"Don't worry, I have a certain patron that owes me a few favors. Money shouldn't be too much of a problem. Plus, there are at least a couple of film studios around Purgatory that could help out."

Millie sat back in her seat in thought, "Ya know what? Why not? If it helps the business grow and reach out to as many souls as possible? I say let's do it!"

"Glad you see it that way." Blitzo smiled, "And you, Loonie?" No answer. "Loona?"

Instead, she answered with a snore.

"Is she seriously sleeping again?" Moxxie questioned. "Sir, this must be the fourth time she's done this this week."

Blitzo ignored him and glided over to the sleepy cherub. At first, he tried nudging, then snapping in her ears, "Hello? Purgatory to Loonie? Anyone home?" he asked aloud but got another snore in response. Spotting a glass of water, Blitz dipped his hand in it and flecked the droplets on her face.

Instantly, Loona shot up from her seat, and her head went through the ceiling tiles above them. " Gah! I wasn't asleep! " She scrambled out from the hole she made before anyone could help her. "Don't scare me like that!"

"Loonie, you were asleep." Blitzo said, "Did you hear the idea I had at all?"

"Uh…" Loona rubbed her eyes, floating back to her seat. "Not… really?"

Blitzo frowned, "Okay, seriously, Loona, what's going on? Haven't you been getting enough sleep? Because you've been doing that on the job recently."

"I know, I'm sorry." She yawned. "But I couldn't help feeling drained from going all those therapy sessions late- HEY! " Loona's chair was suddenly rolled around to face her uncle. He was looking at her with shock and intense worry.

" Woahwoahwoahwoahwoah! Hold on! Stop everything!" Blitzo knelt down, "Loonie, are you okay? What's going on?"

"Nothing, I'm just taking up some therapy." Blitzo only now realized that, up close, there was something… off about Loona. Dark rings were under her eyes, her wings and limbs seemed sluggish, and it looked like she was fighting to stay awake.

"Well, this is news to me," Millie said. "Hon, is there something going on?"

"Not really," Loona shrugged, "I don't see the big deal."

"Loona, you don't simply go to therapy for nothing." Moxxie pointed out. "Even if we're making a big deal, it is worrisome that we're only finding this out now."

Blitzo cupped Loona's cheek to make her look at him, "Is something wrong, Loona?" He asked, eyes filled with concern. "This is the first time I've heard anything about this."

"Okay, first off, it's not for anything major," Loona told them. "Second, it's for me to become mature. I've been taking sessions to help me with it after work." Another yawn escaped her lips.

Blitzo blinked, "Loonie, this seems a bit extreme. I just want you to change your behavior, not go to a therapist again. And besides, what exactly have you been doing to make you this… drained?"

"It's ah… form of exposure therapy. Over at the Charity Clinic."

"Charity Clinic?"

"You know where… where… " Loona trailed off, her eyes closed on the verge of sleep. However, jerking the chair, she startled awake. " AH! Uh… St. Andrew's Stadium. Do you know where that is? It's across the street from that. I've seen Dr. Web for it after I get off work."

Blitz's expression changed, "Dr. Web…?" His face scrunched up as though the name was ringing a bell, but he didn't know why.

"You know her?"

"I'm not sure…" Blitzo stood up, "But just to be safe, I want to talk with this doctor myself. Moxxie, Millie, you two come with me."

"What for?" Moxxie tilted his head.

"Just in case," turning back to Loona, he added, "Maybe you should lay off going to therapy for a little while."

"Why? I'm fine. Just…" She yawned again.

"Because you clearly need the rest. So how about this? We'll go check out this , and in the meantime, you should nap. You don't look so good."

Another yawn. "Okay, whatever… what… " Loona's head rolled to the side of the chair's armrest, where she dozed off.

The three angles exchanged a look at one another. So, leaving Loona where she was, they exited the conference room, where Millie said what was on their minds. "Is it me, or is there something really weird going on?"

"Weird is right," Blitzo agreed. "I've been to a few therapy sessions myself in the past, but I've never heard of one that leaves you with such low energy."

"You think that this Dr. Web might be a quack?" Moxxie asked.

"It's possible. But nothing about this adds up. Loona was fighting to stay awake while we were talking. And Web… I know I've heard of that name from somewhere." Blitz shakes his head, "Still, I want to know exactly what this doctor is doing to her."

"Believe it or not, I'm not aiming to harm Loona in any way." Doctor Web explained. "After all, she had come to me for help, and I said I would assist."

Across from her desk, a serious Blitzo sat in the middle with Moxxie and Millie flanking him. He had his arms crossed and a frown on his face. "Even if you have good intentions," he said, "my adopted niece has been fighting to stay awake for the past few days. It's interfering with her work. She has low energy, is chronically sleepy, and can barely fly. What exactly have you and your staff been doing to her?"

"Exposure therapy through simulation. We have them encounter a safe environment to experience a dream-like state where their desires are manifested to them."

Moxxie raised an eyebrow, "Like a drug?"

"Oh no, no! Not at all. A strong source of magic under my and my staff's supervision for our patients to experience - in layman's terms - what would happen if they got everything they ever wanted. We record what they've experienced so we can take a deep dive into why they want what they want. A better understanding of themselves and what they're trying to gain."

"Even so," Blitzo leaned towards her, propping his elbows on the desk, "I find it disturbing that only now am I finding out that Loona is seeking therapy without telling me."

"Oh, I understand, but you must remember that she is technically an adult. And if it helps, the clinic has been running for years, and we get it certified by Heaven's Mental Health Organizations annually. Our treatment has a high success rate of eighty-five percent of our patients overcoming their long-held desires in less than a year."

"Eighty-five?" Millie tilted her head, "What about the other fifteen percent?"

"They are the more challenging cases," Dr. Web sighed, "Souls who had gone through a lot more than Loona had. Either through some traumatic experiences or was so spiritually, financially, physically, or emotionally impoverished that for them to let go of their selfish desires takes years. Still, they are the exception and not the norm.

"With Loona's case, I will safely say she is progressing. Of course, we've identified a few issues to address, but she is nevertheless heading in the right direction. While I can't be entirely sure when she would make a breakthrough, I estimate she would be through in a few months."

Blitzo raised an eyebrow, "Would it be possible for me to experience what Loona has?"

"Ah, let's see…" Dr. Web picked up her tablet, and after a moment of pushing and scrolling, she answered, "Unfortunately, we are rather booked today for any walk-ins…" She scrolled down a little further. "The only opening I can see is a few weeks from now."

"Okay, what about coming with Loona for her session? As a family member, I have a right to be with her on that."

"True," Dr. Web scrolled up. "Yes, she has a session tomorrow at four-thirty. I'll let my staff know you will drop in with her. Oh!" She snapped one of her fingers." That reminds me. Tomorrow, the staff will be holding a party for the patients here - invitation only for private reasons - but if she wants an invite, could you tell her she just needs to ask me or my staff for one?"

"What kind of party?" Millie asked.

"A tea party - more of a sociable thing than anything that we have once a month."

"I'll keep that in mind," Blitzo got up from his seat, "see you later, doc."

Once they were out of Dr. Web's office and into the lobby, Moxxie said what was on their minds. "Is it me, or is she hiding something?"

"Yeah, I noticed that as well." Blitzo nodded. "She wasn't particular about the treatment, and the high success rate seems odd."

"How come?" Millie raised an eyebrow.

"The thing is, therapy takes years, sometimes decades. Under two years seems a little too quick. Plus, she didn't specifically say exactly what the treatment was that made Loona sleepy. And that's another thing," Blitzo rubbed his chin, "Just a treatment. You'd think that there would be other alternatives in a mental health clinic, but she only spoke of one."

As Blitzo spoke, Moxxie looked around the lobby at the other patients. He noticed something, "Sir, have you noticed something else?"

"What?"

"Look around. Do you see anything strange between those arriving and those departing?"

Indeed, there was a difference. Those who had just entered or were waiting for their appointments were more awake and had more energy than the sluggish, lethargic patients who had just finished their treatment. If anything, the ones who completed their session were either nearly awake or were asleep in the lobby.

"They look like they haven't slept well since the Stone Age," Millie remarked.

"Very similar to how Loona was. So whatever is happening, it's not just Loona that's affected." Moxxie scratched his chin.

"All the more reason to be on guard." Blitzo agreed as he headed out the door.

At the reception desk, an angelic white rabbit had taken notice of their conversation and made a note of it.

Try as she might, Loona couldn't sleep where she was. It probably had to do with banging her head against the table or floor, depending on how she fell. The wolf angel rubbed her head and moaned. Not only did Loona feel like she would pass out any second and sleep until The Second Coming, but her head was pounding. Maybe her uncle was right? Perhaps she did need to take a break from therapy if it was going to be this tiresome.

Loona texted her uncle and told him she would head home to sleep. Sleeping in her bed would be much more comfortable than in the office. Getting her things, Loona couldn't help but wonder what the big deal was with her uncle and his friends about her getting therapy. Yeah, she was always more tired than usual when it was over, but it wasn't like it was hurting her. She didn't feel different.

Although, has it really done anything for me? Loona asked herself. She hadn't noticed any significant changes in her behavior since she started. At least none that tested her so far. The only thing she had done was just talk less at work and hang out even less with her friends. Part of it was having so many therapy sessions, and the other was just fear of failing to withhold her greedy urges.

Heading towards the elevator and entering it, Loona tried to think about what she kept seeing in her visions whenever she touched the heart. From what she could remember, it was always something work-related or Collin-related, but to her surprise, there was nothing about her parents. Loona would think they would have been first out of everything she desired. Her heart sank upon thinking of them. Learning her father died from demons was traumatic enough, but then her mother disappeared after going to Earth? Most angels never lost a parent in Heaven, much less both. That had been the reason for going to therapy the first time, shortly after Uncle Blitzo became her guardian. It took her a while to move on from her parents' deaths, but even now, Loona wished they were still alive.

So why am I not seeing them? Have I just accepted they're gone? Or is it one of those visions I can't remember well, like Dr. Web said? Loona thought as she got off the elevator.

Loona froze upon seeing who was at the entrance of the building. It was her friend, crush, and (hopefully) future husband Collin; he wasn't alone. That pink lamb cherub, Blossom, was also with him, and they seemed to be laughing at something Collin was showing on his phone. Loona's first instinct was to unleash the beast inside her, tear Blossom apart, and hug Collin. Then her second instinct was to find where Blossom lived, seal her in a chest, toss it over the highway to Hell, and play ignorant when asked where she was. Her final instinct, however, was to just whimper because Collin looked… happy with Blossom.

When people asked why Loona had this crush on Collin, she would always tell them. When she lost her parents, Collin was there to support her and hug her through everything. He was also scared to lose one of his best friends and tried to think of multiple ways to keep her around, from begging his parents to adopt Loona to even running away with her. He cared so much for her that Loona instantly got her crush, which fell into true love over time.

However, she thought back to her therapy sessions and her desire and need for Collin. It wasn't that they weren't friends anymore. They still were. But was she really reaching for something that she couldn't have? And did Collin really like this new girl he got along with? Did… Did I lose my chance?

A tear dripped down Loona's face as she sighed. Maybe it was best to head back up a few minutes before heading home. Perhaps she could cry herself to sleep.

Just as she was about to close the door, Blossom noticed her, smiled, and waved. "Oh, hi! You're Collin's friend, Loona. Right?"

Cursing for the lousy timing, Loona faked a smile and flew over as she waved her hand.

"Y-Yeah. Hi again, Blossom. And hi lam-Collin."

"I'm not your-" Collin's eyes widened. "What did you say?"

"Um, hi Collin?" Loona answered as she tilted her head. "Why?"

"... Are you feeling okay?" Collin asked in concern.

"Yeah, just… tired, is all," Loona yawned.

Collin looked closer to her, and Loona couldn't help but blush as he did so. She looked into those big, beautiful violet eyes shinier to her than the entire Empyrean. "You do look terrible. Are you sick?"

"I think she just needs some coffee," Blossom said with a smile as she looked at Loona with such kind eyes. "Why don't you come to Saintbucks with us?"

"Coffee sounds good," Loona admitted as she wouldn't mind a cup of joe. Plus, unlike Starbucks, Saintbucks was free, and their coffee was decent. She had a Starbucks cup once and couldn't understand how humans could drink that stuff.

Loona couldn't deny that she needed a cappuccino with caramel as severely as she needed. The sweet, warm cup of hot caffeine had made her feel a lot better, and it was what she needed after a long day. Loona spoke very little as Collin and Blossom continued to talk, and she couldn't help but frown about how chummy the two were. She tried to recall where she had met Blossom in school since she and Collin went to the same schools throughout their lives. Deciding she needed to know, Loona cleared her throat. "So, how did you two meet? 'Cause I never saw you at school."

"Oh, Blossom was in the chess club with me in high school," Collin said. "You never met her because she was always busy with stuff after school. Plus, you kinda hated chess."

"She hates chess?" Blossom asked in confusion.

"I never win," Loona grumbled. "Every time I've tried to play, I always lose. I've even faced children and still lost to them."

"And then she throws the board up in the air and rage quits," Collin jokes. "One time, the pieces even landed in Keenie's hair."

"Yeah, that was funny," Loona giggled as she recalled the yelling her yellow lamb friend gave her.

"You know, Collin used to talk to you all the time in school," Blossom giggled. "I'm honestly kinda jealous that you had such a good friendship. Most of my friends lost contact with me after school."

"Well, we've been through a lot together," Collin said with a shrug as he raised an eyebrow. "Even if sometimes she's annoying."

"... Yeah," Loona sighed as she looked into her coffee. Memories of her past vision under her treatment with Dr. Web resurfaced, and she wondered if Collin would do better with a non-greedy girl like Blossom instead of herself.

"... Okay, seriously. Are you feeling okay?" Collin asked with genuine concern.

"What are you talking about?" Loona asked.

"You haven't flirted with me once," Collin put a hoof on her forehead, making her blush. "Are you sure you're feeling okay?"

"Y-Yeah, just… I need the restroom," Loona said as she got up and made for the bathroom while taking deep breaths.

Once she was inside, Loona went to the sink and began to wash her face. She looked at her face and sighed. Why was it when she wasn't acting on her feelings that Collin actually paid attention- no, the concern Loona always wanted from him? Why is it that when Loona proclaimed her love for him, he shrank away in fear? What was Blossom doing that she wasn't? Was she just that bad at love, or was Dr. Web right about her?

The door opened, and she turned around to see Blossom coming in with a concerned look. "Are you okay, Loona?"

"Y-Yeah," Loon sighed as she turned away. "Just… tired."

"It's just Collin looks really worried for you," Blossom said, which made the wolf cherub wince. "And since you're his friend, I'm also worried for you."

… She really is a nice person, Loona thought with a depressing thought. She had only thought bad things about Blossom since meeting her, but here she was, worried for her with genuine kindness. Maybe she is better for Collin than an obsessed, greedy girl like me.

"Blossom? You like Collin a lot, don't you?" Loona asked nervously.

"Well, yeah. I do," Blossom said with a curious glance. "Why?"

"... Because I guess it's clear he likes you more than me," Loona sighed. "I mean, I haven't been a great friend to him, so the chances of him liking me more, I guess, are zero. Especially since my therapy sessions have shown me how horrible I am, with my desire for him to love me back."

Blossom's wide eyes went wide as she blinked. "Wait. Loona-"

"Just… treat him right, okay? He's my best friend and has been there for me ever since my parents were lost to me, and I-"

"Loona, I'm gay," Blossom giggled.

"... Huh?! " Loona's mouth dropped.

"Collin's a good friend, but I don't like him that way. I'm into girls," Blossom chucked.

"OH THANK GOD!" Loona shouted with joy as she hugged Blossom as tight as she could. Relief filled her soul as she realized she still had a chance with Collin and didn't worry about Blossom stealing him from her. Her eyes then widened as she felt Blossom hugging her tight and blushed upon remembering what Blossom had said.

Loona quickly pulled away and chuckled nervously as Blossom grinned at her. "What I mean to say is… um… good to know!"

"Relax, Loona. I get it. You like Collin a lot, don't you?" She asked, which made Loona blush. "Hey, I think it's cute. If you want, I can help you with winning his heart."

"R-Really?" Loona asked before narrowing her eyes. "What's the catch?"

"None, I just want to help a friend," Blossom giggled. "Relax. I think you're cute, but you're not my type. No offense."

"Oh, okay. None taken," Loona said with a smile. "Thanks."

"No worries," Blossom said, then made for the door but paused and grinned at her. "Now, if you were scaly instead of furry? I'd be so down and dirty with you I'd have a first-class ticket to the Lust Ring."

Loona just stood there blinking as she tried to process that. "Wait, are you just messing with me or…?"

Blossom laughed, " Maybe… " she half sang as she exited the restroom.

The next day, Loona and Blitzo reached the clinic's front steps. Loona seemed normal after a good night's sleep and slept almost until noon. Blitzo had suspected that she needed the extra hours to regain her energy after yesterday, so he gave her the day off from work so she could recover. But now, as Loona's appointment was approaching, Blitzo was accompanying her.

"First you told me to lay off therapy for a while, and now you want me to go." Loona looked up at her uncle. "You haven't changed your mind, have you?"

Blitzo shook his head, "It has more to do with seeing what exactly they're doing with you."

"Well, they're not giving me the Ludivico treatment if that's what you think. They don't tie me down and hook me up to an electric shock machine or inject me with anything." Loona pushed through the doors and into the lobby. "I don't think they even have a dungeon in the basement either."

"In Purgatory? You never know." Blitzo eyed a sleepy deer passing by them.

"What do you have against me taking up therapy again?"

"I don't, but I figured with what's been happening, I want to make sure they are who they say they are."

Loona approached the front desk, where a white rabbit angelic nurse sat behind it. The nurse looked up from her paperwork. "Hello, Loona. Are you here for the appointment?"

"Hello Charlie, I'm the four-thirty."

"Very good," the nurse nodded but paused as she saw Blitzo there, "Uh… Can I help you, sir?"

"He's my guardian," Loona told him. "He wants to be with me for my session."

"Oh, I see. One moment." Turning around in the swivel chair, the rabbit pulled out a piece of paper and a clipboard. "In that case, could you take a moment to sign this release form - to say that you have a family member with you today and not a stranger?" While Loona was filling out the form, Charlie snapped her paws. "Oh! Before you head in, Dr. Web has asked me to give you something."

Loona looked up, "What's that?"

"Let's see… I know I put it down some- there it is." Out from a drawer, the nurse pulled out a small envelope where one side had the words Open Me written in beautiful calligraphic handwriting. "Just so you know, we'll be having a tea party with patients and staff tonight, so I was told to give you this invitation."

"A party? I don't know if I'll be going."

"Maybe, but you never know." Charlie smiled knowingly as Loona took the invitation and stuffed it in a pocket. After singing the form and returning it to the nurse, she said, "Alrighty, you're all checked in. It's the same room as last time, and I'll inform the doctor that you're here so you can go ahead."

Blitzo followed Loona into the main hall, taking in a few details. The hall they were in twists around the building, having many doors where there was the noticeable sound of muffled voices. He also noticed that there were only so many staff between the desk and where Loona opened one of the doors. Not only that, but in terms of decoration, everything seemed minimal. There wasn't so much as a picture on the walls as they passed by.

Even when Loona showed him the room where she had her therapy, it only raised more suspicions. Blitzo had been to treatment before and had seen a few therapists here and there. Where the rooms were relaxing, comforting, and welcoming in terms of furniture, decor, and even the color of the walls. But this… Blank walls, two chairs, a steel table with a metal box with a hole in it?

"Are you sure we're not in the interrogation room?" Blitzo asked.

"No, this is it."

Blitzo went over to the box, bending to peer inside it, but couldn't see anything. "This looks something like a monkey trap."

"A what?"

"In more tropical places on Earth, they have boxes like these where they used to catch monkeys. The idea was that the monkey would reach into the hole to grab the fruit but couldn't pull out because it made a fist around it. Since the hole is only big enough to slip a paw through, they get caught." Blitzo sat up, "Why would this be in a mental health clinic?"

"I'll show you." Loona sat down at the table. "You know, when I first started, this used to knock me out, but now I can at least stay awake. However, I have been losing time whenever I reach in."

Blitzo raised an eyebrow, "Does that happen very often?"

"Yeah, but it isn't so bad." Before Loona reached in, she looked up at her uncle. "Dr. Web said it's not harmful, but it would be helpful to let me know when it's over."

"I'll keep track of time."

Inhaling a deep breath, Loona reached in to take hold of the heart. Dr. Web said that the more she uses the heart, the more she stays awake but still has visions. As soon as she grabbed hold of the heart, she felt a shiver of delight, and it was only a matter of time until-

She heard the door open behind her. Looking over her shoulder, she found Collin there in a suit. "Oh, there you are, I hope this isn't a bad time."

Loona glanced over at the box for a moment. "Oh hey! No, you can come in."

"They said that you would be in here and… I don't want to interrupt, but if you want me to wait-"

"No, no, it's fine. You can come in." Loona eyed him up and down. "Why are you in a suit?"

Collin tugged on his collar. "Oh… no reason…" he chuckled nervously. "I just uh… hope I could talk to you for a moment."

"Sure thing, come in." Loona tugged against the box, "I won't be going anywhere."

"Okay… okay…" Collin floated over, and Loona couldn't help but notice that he was more than just nervous, he was shaking. "Um… Loona, I know you've been having a hard time and uh… uh…" He gulped. "I mean… what I…"

"Are you okay?" Loona tilted her head, "You look nervous."

Blitzo raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything.

Collin was sweating bullets; his head shook yes, but his eyes said no. In a moment, he turned to a wall, pounding a fist against it. "C'mon , c'mon, you can do this. " He took in several deep breaths before turning around. "I'm sorry, I've never done this before."

"Done what?"

He floated over to her. "Okay, I'm just really, really nervous here. I don't want to mess this up, not in front of you. I…" he gulped. "Look… I know I don't say this often, but… I care. I care about you since the uh… ya know … You've been my friend. You were there when I needed you the most, and I did all I could to be there for you. Please understand that despite everything, I always considered you my best friend who stood up for me."

Collin got down on his knees. "I want to see you for two reasons. First, I owe you an apology."

"You don't have to."

"But I do! You were hurting, and instead of making sure you were okay, I was hanging out with someone else. Please, I didn't mean to, I'm sorry." Collin said, his liquid eyes looking at her, begging for forgiveness.

"Hey, it's okay, lambchop." Loona patted him on the head with her free hand. Honestly, seeing him like this made her heart melt. "What's the other thing?"

"Huh? Oh! Oh, that…" Collin reached into his pants pocket and pulled out a velvety black box. Loona gasped and covered her mouth with her free hand. "Truth is, I don't know what I'm doing. Yet, the one thing I do know is that I should tell you something from the start." Taking a deep breath, Collin said, "I love you. I know this is unexpected, but now I never feel more right when I say that. I love you, Loona. So the other thing I want to ask is…" He opened the box, showing her a ring with the most sparkly, gorgeous diamond she had ever seen. "P-Please marry me."

"Oh, that's so sweet!" Loona felt so happy that she thought she was about to cry.

"So…" Collin gulped, "What do you say?"

"Who are you talking to?"

Loona looked at Blitzo, "Collin, he just proposed to me. Didn't you hear him?"

Blitzo leaned over to the side. "Where?"

"Right in front of me. Didn't you see him come in? He's been here the whole time." Raising an eyebrow, Blitzo walked around the table. As he did so, Collin didn't react at all but waited for an answer from her. "Hello, Uncle Blitz, he's right here."

"Loona, it's only just us."

"What does that mean?"

"There's nobody there." He waved a hand, "You're talking to nothing."

"Uh, Loona?" Collin nervously looked between her and the ring. "You still haven't answered my question."

"Just a moment, lambchop," Loona looked back at her uncle. "He just came through the door a minute ago and asked me to marry him. Collin is right here, clear as day. You can't miss him."

"Loona, you've been talking to yourself since you put your hand in the box." Blitzo narrowed his eyes. "What's in it anyway?"

"Excuse me, Loona," Collin seemed to be getting worried. "This is important to me. Will you marry me?"

"Pull your hand out." Blitzo grabbed Loona's trapped arm, but she refused to let go of the heart. "Loona, let go. I wanna see."

"Hey! Not now!"

"Loona…" Collin's eyes glisten over with tears, "Please…"

"What's in the box?" Blitzo pulled a little harder.

"Uncle Blitz!"

"Let me see, right now."

"Let go!"

"Loona!"

"Stop it!"

"What are you hold-"

" I SAID LET GO!"

And then, it happened.

Without thinking, without warning, in a flash of anger - a fire that her dumb uncle was trying to ruin what was a beautiful moment, a dream come true - Loona bit him. Not a gentle nip on the skin on accident. But a hard, sharp bite. The kind that draws blood. A type that made Blitzo scream.

And yet, hearing that pained scream was enough to slap Loona back to reality and make her realize what she was doing. Just as quickly as she bit him, she let go of the heart. Like being jolted awake, Loona suddenly pieced together that Collin wasn't there - Blitzo was telling the truth. And now, her uncle's hand was bleeding.

" Oh God… " Loona whispered, shocked at what she had done. "Are you okay?"

" I don't know. " Blitzo hissed. Clenching his hand. At this point, he wasn't sure if his hand was broken. It felt like his hand was crushed on a bed of knives for a moment. "You bit me."

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to…" Loona stepped back, and horror overcame her. "I don't know why I did that." Except, she knew that wasn't true. She knew why she did it. But still couldn't believe what she did. She bit him. Plain and simple. " I didn't… " She began to tear up.

"Loonie-"

"I'm a monster." It was all too much. She ran out of the room before the tears rolled down her face.

"Loona, wait!" Blitzo called out, but she was already leaving the hall and rushing outside.

Blitzo's parental instincts fully kicked in. Something was wrong, no question about it. Loona bit him. Even when angry, Loona would never bite him. Something had caused her to do this, and he would get to the bottom of it. His angelic healing was already dealing with the bite and would recover quickly. Besides, he's had worse injuries in his career. He marched over to where the reception was and slammed his hands on it before the nurse could ask him anything. With wide and terrified eyes, she reared back as Blitzo growled. "Tell your boss to get her ass here right now, or I'll tear this entire fucking place apart!"

"Is there a problem?" Blitzo turned around and saw Dr. Web walking over in concern.

"Yeah, there's a fucking problem!" Blitzo shouted as he turned his attention to the quack and looked ready to tear her limbs off and shove them up her thorax.

"Sir, there is no need to curse," Dr. Web assured Blitzo with a worried look. "Please, explain what the matter is."

"The matter is that whatever insane therapy you are giving my Loonie just caused her to bite me!" Blitzo shouted as he showed the wounded hand. "All she did was reach into this box, and suddenly, she started having some kind of delusion! She was lost in an entirely different world, and when I tried to stop her, she just went crazy! What in God's holy name is in that box!?"

"Sir, you're making a scene. I'm afraid that is-"

"I will go directly to the Celestial Cure and Treatment Center right this second and make them launch an investigation pronto! I got favors they owe me, so unless you want to get a hundred investigators swarming this place like ants, you will give me a straight answer right now!" Blitzo argued with fury as he spread his wings like an eagle ready to strike.

Dr. Web narrowed her eyes, but Blitzo wasn't the one bit intimidated. When it came to those he cared about, Blitzo would stare face to face with Lucifer himself if it meant keeping them safe, and it was clear that this "treatment" wasn't causing more harm than good.

"... As I told you yesterday, the therapy sessions help others overcome their greedy desires by having them placed in simulated scenarios involving their most inner desires to confront and having them either reject it or accept it," Dr. Web explained. "This process is done by holding onto an object that can cause their desires to manifest in their minds. The Heart of a Greed Demon Lord."

"...What?" Blitzo was so stunned his wings sagged, and his halo dipped. "You… you are making your patients… my Loonie… touch the heart of a Greed Demon Lord?"

He took a deep breath and shouted, " Are you fucking insane?!"

Now, he was being stared at by the other patients and staff as Blitzo pointed to Dr. Web, who looked shocked. "The heart of a Greed type Demon Lord gives them the powers to construct the means to entice their victims into sin! Even dead, the heart is still alive and works upon the contact of the person's most inner desires! It feeds on their greed and drains them of their vitality like a leech! You might as well ask them to dip their hand in acid and try to ignore burns!"

"Sir, I am an expert-"

"I'm a former Exterminator," Blitzo growled as he pointed to himself. "If anyone knows about demons, it's me! The first thing I'm going to do after I find my daughter is tell the entire realms of Purgatory and Heaven what you are doing and get this place shut down! Loona will not be coming back here, and if you come near us again, I swear I'll take your heart and shove it down your throat!"

A fuming Blitzo marched out of the building as Dr. Web glared at him while mutterings were heard everywhere. A few patients had decided to just leave as well with pale faces upon hearing Blitzo's cry. The spider angel growled and gritted her fangs. This was a problem. One that would need correcting.

With her own eyes turning green, she turned to her secretary nurse, who stood up alert with her eyes slowly turning green.

"We have a situation; it's worse than I thought. One that needs to be nipped quickly. Get everyone ready."

"Yes, Dr. Web," She replied before leaving.

Dr. Web snarled as she skittered back inside her office. She had come too far with her plans. They were not going to be ruined by this.

It was time for a new experiment, and she had the perfect specimen to test it on.
