Gemwing2012: Between Space Jam: Dreamstones Edition running a bit slow and Alicia's Adventures in the Cuphead Show still due to be finished, thought we should do a little oneshot that introduces a new character who will make an appearance in the sequel: Nyx the Shadow Sprigon. Blackwolfen was impressed by my OC, Kaichi and some future OC's, she asked if Alicia could have her own Sprigon companion in her many adventures. So, after a little brainstorming, Nyx was born.
It's once again a peaceful and beautifully sunny day on the Inkwell Isles as the birds were singing their sweet melody, the innocent laughter of children filled the fresh, clean fresh air as they scampered merrily around the grassy fields of the local park.
Just beneath a shady willow tree, Alicia Powell and her recent new friend, a Shadow Sprigon named Nyx, were relaxing.
The lore about the Sprigons is still a mystery to Alicia since they were created from the creative imagination of Katie Gemwing, the oldest member of the Dreamstone and a close friend to Alicia.
Katie has yet to figure about their place of origin since Kaichi the Ocean Sprigon was her first creation, an idea on paper until he was mysteriously brought to life under unexplained circumstances when she, Lexie Luthor, Natty Poke, Lexie's boyfriend, Liam Jones and his kid brother, Matt were first literally dragged into their very first adventure.
It wasn't long until Aster the Star Sprigon and Cyra the Fire Sprigon soon followed.
One thing that Alicia does know is that Sprigons are basically small fairy-sized dragons covered in fur instead of scales, have fox-like tails, pointy rabbit-like ears, tiny antlers instead of horns and flowery wings with the stalks being a deep ebony black. And they're also small enough to fit inside your pocket.
Nyx was much different from the other Sprigons companions of the Dreamstones. For one thing, she has more wolf-like features while Kaichi, Aster and Cyra's were more based on a fox.
She has dark black fur, a light grey furry underbelly as well as the underside of her bushy wolf-like tail, inner ears and paws. She also has wolf ears, silver antlers, a long white mane as well, white spines running along the small of her back, and yellow eyes. Her flowery wings are a dark blue like the starless night sky with light blue tips.
She also wore a blue neckerchief scarf with an oval-shaped red gemstone brooch clipped onto it, both which were gifted to her by Alicia herself.
As much Alicia would like to spend the day snuggling with her husband over at the cottage or having a picnic over at a lovely glade, it had been agreed that she would have a time to herself and bond with Nyx a bit more given how close the Dreamstones were with their own Sprigon.
Nyx was munching away on a couple of strawberries bought from the store while Alicia was drinking on some soda she had bought from the store. It was rather a warm day and Alicia needed a nice cold drink while she and Nyx rested beneath the tree's shade.
"And how's it going so far, my dear?" Alicia heard a familiar voice behind her.
Alicia looked from her book as did Nyx, who was holding the remaining tiny piece of strawberry she was about to finish to see who it was.
It was Lucifer.
"Oh, hello, sir." Nyx greeted meekly. She was still adjusting to his presence since she was still shy around others aside from Alicia, the Dreamstones and the other Sprigons.
Lucifer smiles and greets her back, "Hello to you too Nyx. Mind if I sit with you?"
Alicia looked to Nyx and waited for her to answer. She doesn't want to rush her.
"Sure." Nyx replied.
Alicia smiled and offered her husband the space next to her. His tail wagged with joy as he sat down next to her and Nyx.
"Strawberry?" Nyx offered, holding out a fresh strawberry.
Lucifer smiles and takes her offer. "Thank you Nyx."
He contentedly eats the strawberry as Nyx takes another.
"Looks like you two get along." Alicia mentions being satisfied.
Nyx flittered onto Lucifer's hand as he rubbed her back with his finger. She even went as far as to roll onto her back for a belly rub like a puppy.
"Looks like someone wants a belly rub." He gently scratches her belly with his claws.
Alicia smiles a bit more and was glad to see the two of them getting along. Nyx actually wagged her tail like a puppy, occasionally doing that thing with her leg that most dogs do when they get their belly rubbed.
However Alicia's phone, laying in her hoodie pockets starts to vibrate, indicating that someone is trying to call her.
"Huh?" She uttered.
Confused, she grabs her phone and looks on the monitor to see who is trying to call her while Lucifer and Nyx stop what they were doing and focus on Alicia.
"What is it, my love?" Lucifer inquired.
"Katie is calling me." She answered by tapping on the green button to call her.
"Hi, Ali. How are you?" Katie asked on the other line.
Alicia smiles before she answers her question, "Oh I'm fine. What about you?"
Nyx floats on her shoulder while munching her strawberry.
"Pretty good." Katie answered. "Just getting ready to visit my sister and nephew with the folks. Gonna have lunch over at the local pub just a few blocks away from her house."
Alicia smiles. "Sounds great. Me, my hubby and Nyx are enjoying the day so far without anyone interrupting us like a certain demon."
She couldn't forget that someone was still after her and wanted to marry her.
This someone in particular is none other than the Devil himself.
"Glad to hear you're all bonding." Katie replied. "It didn't seem that long Nyx had been hiding away in your hoodie pocket and never leaving your side."
"Oh yeah I remember when we first met." Alicia remembered it clearly.
"That's Sprigons for you." Katie confirmed. "I remembered how much Kaichi wanted to stay at my side when I had to go to the other Devil's Casino to find Lexie and Natty."
Lucifer feels a bit embarrassed.
"I mean, the other version of the Devil in my dimension, no offence." Katie corrected sheepishly as though she realised that Lucifer was still present.
"It's okay Katie. I'm just..." He sighed before he continued, "I feel so sorry for what I did."
He hugs Alicia, rubbing his head against her own head, purring like Toothless.
"Well, while I still disapprove of how you had forcefully dragged Alicia back into the Underworld after the contract you made her sign forcefully turned her into a demon, at least you made an effort to be a better person." Katie said as carefully as she could. "The Devil the girls and I had dealt with was a heartless monster who wanted revenge on the Cups for defeating him and… that's what differs him from you."
Lucifer nods and knows he did awful things in the past. But Alicia didn't feel bad for it. She loves him. That's what counts for her.
"No need to worry about it. All that matters is you're treating your wife right with the kindness and respect she deserves." Katie claimed.
"Don't worry, Katie. He takes good care of me and Nyx." Alicia assured her while Nyx agreed.
"Okay. Anyway, I gotta go. I have to leave in a minute. Hear from you again soon." Katie stated.
"See ya!" said Alicia before she closed her smartphone and enjoyed the massage her husband gave her.
"Does that feel good, my darling?" He crooned.
Alicia nods and leans against his furry belly, closing her eyes. "Yes, that feels good."
Nyx rested atop of Lucifer's head and curled up like a kitten, wrapping her tail around herself contentedly, falling asleep.
"I could enjoy this all day." Alicia sighed, falling asleep while Lucifer continued to massage her.
As this happened, no one noticed a small black imp with a purple nose peeking out from behind the tree, holding a small potions bottle. Seeing Lucifer was distracted with massaging Alicia, the imp cautiously tip-toed towards the bottle of soda near with a subtly audible twinkle toe like noises.
Cartoon logic, what can you do?
"Now let's hope this will help the boss get our queen back." He muttered before he opened the potion bottle and dropped a little bit in Alicia's drink.
Once the deed was done, the imp quickly and quietly sneaked away before someone spotted him. Nyx's wolf-like ears perked up as she lifted her head up and looked around in confusion.
"Is something wrong Nyx?" asked Lucifer, as he stops messaging Alicia and looks up to Nyx.
Nyx looked up ahead and spotted the imp sneaking away as she cried, "It's one of the Devil's imps!"
The imp jerked when he was mentioned and slowly turns around to see a very angry Lucifer behind him.
"Uh-oh…" The imp squeaked.
"What are you doing here? And why are you looking so nervous?" asked Lucifer angrily.
The imp was indeed sweating and stuttered his words. Just then, he quickly pointed at something, exclaiming, "What's that?"
Lucifer looks in the direction but only sees a squirrel running up a tree with a nut in his mouth looking confused too before it disappears in the treetop. Taking advantage of the distraction, the imp frantically scurried away in hopes to make a clean getaway.
"Hey! Get back here!" Lucifer roared as he looked back and started to chase after the imp.
Alicia didn't notice anything of it and shrugs her shoulders before turning back to sleep. Nyx, meanwhile, looked worried, not understanding what that imp had been doing. Still, she had a bad feeling it was nothing good.
A few minutes later, Alicia woke up and yawned, stretching before she noticed that her husband was gone. She was all by herself, save for Nyx, who was close by.
"Nyx? Where did Lucifer go?" Alicia asked.
"One of the Devil's imps was creeping around and he had to go chase him off." Nyx informed.
"W-W-What?!" Alicia stuttered, shaking in fear while looking around for her husband to show up again. "L-Lucifer!"
Nervous, she grabs her book, the box of strawberries, puts them in her shoulder bag and grabs her soda bottle before she stands up and looks for her husband.
"W-wait up!" Nyx cried, frantically fluttering after her.
Alicia stopped and waited for Nyx. The Springon rested on her shoulder, panting in exhaustion before Alicia continued to search for her husband.
Alicia kept running into the woods in hopes to catch up with Lucifer but the place was so big and thick with trees, it had proven to be difficult. Exhausted, she stopped to catch her breath and sat down onto a log.
"Where could he be?" She asked herself before grabbing her soda and sip from it before she continued to search for her husband.
"He couldn't have gotten very far." Nyx stated as she got off Alicia's shoulder and hovered about, looking around. "Surely he had chased off that imp by now and is heading on his way back."
Alicia hoped Nyx was right and sighs.
But suddenly.…
"What the…!" Alicia gasped in shock as she suddenly started to shrink.
Unlike last time, however, all of her clothes shrunk down along with her intact just like in Disney's Alice in Wonderland. That was miraculously a good thing so she didn't have to worry about being naked underneath a pile of huge, discarded clothes. However, it was still a shocking and most annoying experience of being forcefully shrunken down to the size of a mouse without even knowing what was causing this.
"Oh no not again!" Mumbles Alicia in frustration. "Why does this always happen to me?"
Sometimes Alicia thinks she's under a curse or something like that, causing her to shrink. But in that case, it was the opposite.
The reason why she shrunk this time was because the imp poured a specific liquid inside Alicia's drink, causing her to shrink.
"Again?" Nyx asked, not understanding.
Alicia looked over to see that she was no bigger than Nyx. Just small enough to get into her back.
"Woah, that's totally weird." Alicia admits openly seeing Nyx at the same height as her.
But for now there is a bigger problem to deal with. Alicia needs to find a way to grow back to her original size before a certain demon goes after her while her husband is gone.
"What'll we do?" Nyx asked in concern.
Alicia wanted to answer that question when suddenly the ground shook.
"Earthquake!" Nyx cried.
"I don't think that's an earthquake Nyx." Alicia stated.
"Yes, you're right, my dear." A familiar voice agreed.
A voice Alicia knew and feared.
"Oh no…" Nyx whimpered, her ears flattening against her skull.
Slowly Alicia turns around to meet two pairs of feets with three toes ending with yellow claws. She looks up from the feets to the giant body of the Devil standing behind her and Nyx, grinning seductively as usual.
"Hello my love, long time no see." He greeted her, twinkling his fingers.
"Don't you dare call me like that. I'm not interested in you and why can't you leave me alone?" Growls Alicia in annoyance.
Due to the previous incident with the Devil, Nyx was extremely nervous as she cowered back like a wounded animal, ears flattened against her head, tail curled up around herself.
And as usual the Devil ignored her pleas and did the exact opposite of what Alicia wanted.
He picks her up by her hoodie and places her on his giant palm, stroking her with his claws.
"It's so nice to have you in the palm of my hand." The Devil crooned.
But Alicia wasn't happy at all.
"Keep your hands off me!" She warned him with a deep growl.
"I can't do that. You're too lovely to let go." The Devil sneered. "Besides, what are you going to do about-?"
CRUNCH!
A pained look suddenly crossed the Devil's features due Nyx had suddenly shot up and bit his hand.
"YEOW-OW-OW-OH!"
In pain, he loses his grip and Alicia threatens to fall down to the ground. But Nyx was a step ahead as she swooped beneath her and caught her on her back.
"Thanks Nyx." Alicia thanked her for catching her.
"No problem." Nyx replied as she carried Alicia away. "Let's get outta here!"
The two could flee from the Devil. But things aren't water under the bridge yet.
"Hey! Get back !" The Devil yelled as he chased after them.
Yes,, he was determined to get Alicia back no matter what. But she wasn't going to let this happen.
"We need to find Lucifer ASAP!" She cried.
"Right! Hold on!" Nyx nodded.
Both flew as fast as they could while the Devil is still bent on getting Alicia for himself no matter what.
Nyx kept flying faster as Alicia held on for dear life. Being shrunken down to a small size wasn't new to Alicia, but it was a curious experience to be on the back of a Sprigon.
Katie had once told her that she and Lexie had once been accidentally shrunken down by a spell when Natty and the Devil from their dimension had fought over her wand. The Devil had captured them and Katie uncomfortably mentioned he had even attempted to eat Lexie before to blackmail her into marrying him if she refused him again.
Hopefully the Devil had been bluffing on the whole "I'll eat your friend if you don't agree to marry me" just to scare Katie into submission to his demands but it was still an unpleasant thought.
After the Devil had stepped out of the throne room for a bit, Kaichi had snuck in to the rescue and carried Lexie and Katie on his back to escape.
It was a curious experience.
Nyx's fur was just as soft in Alicia's size as she held onto her long white mane, the breeze blowing back her hair.
"Let's hope Lucifer is nearby." Alicia thought to herself.
Nyx weaved around several trees and bushes in hopes they would slow him down long enough to lose sight of her and her passenger. After a while of zipping around the woodland landscapes and frantic flying, Nyx slows down for a bit.
Both Alicia and Nyx looked back to see if they were still being chased. Thankfully, there were no signs of the Devil following them.
For now.
Meanwhile Lucifer was still searching for that imp deep in the woods.
"Where did that little weasel go?" He growled.
After a while of looking around, he had drawn to the conclusion that the Devil's little stooge must have fled the woods and returned to the Underworld.
"Hmph! Guess the little twerp must have scurried back to that imposter." He claimedd. "Good. Neither he nor that faker better not come back and ruin my day with my wife if they know what's good for them."
Scoffing, he returns to the place where he left Alicia and Nyx only to find it abandoned.
"Wait, what? Where did my beautiful Alicia go?" He gasped. "And where's Nyx? What happened?"
He searched everywhere but couldn't find both of them. He even lifted up the tree to see if Alicia was under it but to his surprise he only found a weird looking squirrel.
"Uhh… I can explain." The squirrel said awkwardly.
Lucifer looks confused and slowly puts the tree down before he starts looking for his wife.
"ALICIA! WHERE ARE YOU?!" He shouted.
Of course Alicia and Nyx heard his voice.
"Lucifer?" asked Alicia
And of course the Devil heard his voice too, growling in anger.
"Darn that copy of mine! I thought that idiot imp I had sent to sneak in the shrinking potion into Alicia's drink was supposed to keep him distracted!" The Devil grumbled before he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Ugh! Of course that stupid imp must have chickened out at the last minute and hurried back home. No matter, I should find my bride before that faker does."
So he teleported away searching for Alicia and that Springon. He wasn't going to let this copy get her first. No, he wanted her for himself.
"Oh Alicia, where are you my darling?" He called in a sing-song voice.
Nyx's ears pricked up in alert as she looked around nervously.
"Don't tell me he's nearby." Alicia asked, shivering in fear.
"Afraid so." Nyx replied nervously. "We need to find somewhere to hide."
Alicia nods and looks around to find a good hiding spot. Her eyes looked everywhere and she could have sworn to see the Devil's eyes in the darkness of the woods. But she shook her head and found a good spot to hide.
"There! That bush should be enough to cover both of us." She pointed out to a very big and thick bush with raspberries growing on it.
Without a need to be told twice, Nyx dove down into the raspberry bush and Alicia rested on one of the branches for support, scooting deeper beneath the shelter of the leaves.
Alicia sighs in relief and doesn't notice Nyx offering her a raspberry.
"Raspberry?" Nyx offered. "I know it's not the best time for eating but maybe it could calm the nerves a bit?"
Alicia couldn't say no to that and took the raspberry from Nyx.
"Well it's a little bit bigger than I'm used to but I guess that should work too." She replied and munched on it like Nyx.
Until the Devil gives up and leaves or if Lucifer finds them before he does, they would have to lay low for the time being. Even though Alicia doesn't want that, she couldn't do anything at the moment. Right now her and Nyx's safety counts first.
But unknown to the two of them the Devil soon appeared not far away from them, still looking for Alicia.
"Hmm if I were as small as my darling right now, where would I hide?" He asked himself, growing irritated that he couldn't find her in her current size.
He scratched his head as he searched around his surroundings. He then looked over several bushes in thought. But he wasn't lucky. Either the bushes were empty or some birds came out of them pecking on him like he was a cat trying to eat or steal their eggs.
"Ow! Will you little pests stop pecking on me?!" He yelped painfully as he flailed his arms about, trying to swat the birds away.
Alicia heard that and Nyx stopped eating her raspberry.
"Oh no." Alicia whispered.
They cautiously peered through the leaves to see the Devil running around with a small flock of birds hovering around him, pecking at him with their beaks as he struggled to shoo them away. The Devil practically ran blindly around like a blindfolded chicken until he ran face first into a tree with a slam.
Alicia and Nyx winced at this while the birds, who all avoided the same misfortune, scattered and flittered back to their nests. The Devil groaned painfully as he peeled himself off from the tree and collapsed onto his back in a daze, little twittering birds circling his head.
"Let's hope he doesn't continue with his search after that one." Alicia prayed, hoping life would give her a chance to avoid the Devil.
"Come on. Let's leave before he comes." Nyx whispered urgently.
Alicia nods and jumps on her back hoping she would avoid the Devil for today.
Nyx flaps her wings as fast as a hummingbird and leapt out of the bush, Alicia gripping her mane. As they fled, the Devil groaned, rubbing his forehead.
"Ugh, what hit me?" He mumbled, sitting up.
Unknown to him, a fox had padded up behind him, curiously looking at his tail. Tilting its head from one side to another, the fox was thinking something over as it inspected the tail. Whether it was out of a sixth sense, innocent mischief or it found a new source of food, the fox opened its mouth and…
CHOMP!
It bites the Devil's tail.
"YEOWWWW!" Screamed the Devil in pain as he jumped up in the air so high that you could see him above the treetops.
With Alicia and Nyx, the duo were still flying through the woods in hopes of finding Lucifer before the Devil recovers and catches up with them.
Lucifer was also searching the entire woods for his wife and Nyx, scared not to find the two of them before the copy found them first.
"I sure hope I'm not too late." Lucifer said to himself. "I knew I shouldn't have ran off and left them all by themselves."
He blames himself for that. His ears lowered even thinking about what he had done.
"I mustn't give up." He spoke solemnly yet in determination. "There's a good chance they could be a lot closer than I think. I haven't been looking hard enough."
Positive thinking he searched further and heard a weird noise.
"What's that?" He asked himself and followed it and bumped his head with the Devil's.
"YOU!" The Devil snarled.
Lucifer growls. "OH YOU! WHERE IS MY WIFE?!"
"'Your' wife? I believe you're referring to MY wife!" The Devil countered, jabbing his thumb against his chest
This makes Lucifer angrier than before he shot back, "I believe Alicia has already decided who is her rightful husband and we both know that it isn't YOU!"
Both Devils growled as they got up to each others' faces, their noses pressed up to one another.
"Red nose stay away from my wife!" mocked Lucifer.
"You stay away from my wife!" The Devil snapped back. "And who are you calling "Red nose"? Big nose!"
Lucifer growled more than before when the Devil insulted him.
"At least Alicia likes my nose more than your's!" He admitted.
"As if!" The Devil scoffed. "My horns are much bigger, longer and shinier than those bleached twigs sticking out of your head!"
Lucifer tilted his head in confusion before rolling his eyes. "Are you done, Drama Queen?"
The Devil gasped, greatly offended before his glare hardened, getting out his trident, clicking it like a rifle.
"Oh! Now it's so on!" He growled.
Lucifer knew the Devil wanted to challenge him but instead of pointing his own trident at him, he just ignored him and walked away, continuing his search for Alicia.
"Hey! Where do you think you're going?! Get back here and fight me like a demon!" The Devil shouted at him.
But Lucifer keeps ignoring him.
The Devil growled before he furiously burst into flames. "FINE!"
"What did you say?" asked Lucifer in a mocking tone.
"Go ahead and laugh! I have better things to do than standing around wasting my day with a time waster like you!" The Devil snapped. "I'm still on the hunt! See you never, loser!"
Lucifer just shakes his head, thinking how he could be related to him of all of the people. On the other Inkwell Isles, people still respected him even though the cups defeated him. But the inhabitants wouldn't even think about laughing at him or make fun of him.

Meanwhile, Alicia and Nyx were still flying through the woods when they accidentally crashed into a large spider web in between some branches.
"What is-?!" Alicia gasped, confused about what was going on.
Nyx struggled as she was stuck tight against the sticky netting, stuck like a fly on fly paper
"Please don't tell me we just got caught in the Devil's trap?" Alicia hoped not because she didn't want to see him in his spider form.
Alicia hates spiders and was glad that her husband only snuggles with her in his dragon or goat form. And the thought of being wrapped up in a cocoon of webbing by the Devil as he tries to cuddle her does not sit well with her at all.
"Aww, would that be a bad thing if it was?" A familiar voice cooed.
Alicia and Nyx gulped. Creeping down the web was the Devil himself in his spider form, crawling down towards Alicia while Nyx struggled against the net.
"Oh no, no, no, no!" Alicia cried with a trembling voice trying to free herself.
"Aw, what's the matter, my sweet?" The Devil crooned. "Not scared of a big ol' spider now, are you? No need to worry, I won't bite."
But Alicia ignored him coming closer and closer to her as she tried to free herself but with no luck. But just as the Devil was coming towards her, he yelped in pain as Nyx managed to bite one of his legs, trying to drag him away from Alicia with her teeth.
The Sprigon might be stuck but she's far from helpless.
"Oh you little rascal!" growled the Devil.
Just then, a shadow fell over the web, making Nyx let go as she looked up. The Devil pauses, confused by why she suddenly looked from surprised to being happy. He then turns around for a bit to be greeted by a large clawed, grey-skinned hand.
"What in the-?!"
The Devil didn't have time to react when the hand easily flicked him away. He was flicked so hard, he was thrown off the web and crashed into a tree.
Lucifer dusted his hands in satisfaction before he reached down and easily pulled Alicia and Nyx off the web, gently dusting off any threads still clinging onto Alicia's clothes and Nyx's fur.
"Thank you, sir." Nyx said happily.
"My hero!" Alicia sighed in relief at being saved by her husband just in time.
"Are you and Nyx alright, my love?" Lucifer asked, lightly patting her head with his finger
Nyx nodded as she replied, "Yes, but Alicia needs to get back to normal. Apparently, that imp you had chased off must have snuck in a shrinking potion in Alicia's drink while we weren't looking."
Alicia nods in agreement while Nyx explains everything to Lucifer.
"It was a good thing I came here when I did." Lucifer stated. "I'm so sorry I had run off earlier, Alicia. I thought I was preventing something horrible from happening when I chased after that imp. If I had known about the potion, I should have never left you and Nyx alone."
He holds her and Nyx closer to his face.
"It's not your fault, sir. You didn't know about any of this." Nyx said in reassurance, patting his cheek.
"Nyx is right and we all didn't know the Devil would do something cruel like that." Alicia added while hugging Lucifer's nose. "I should have been more careful next time."
"What matters is that you're both safe and you're with me again." Lucifer sighed. "How about we get you home and I can get you back to normal? If you like, we can relax at home and watch a movie as we snuggle. Does that sound good to you?"
Alicia let go of his nose to look to Nyx if she agrees with his plan.
"Yeah, that sounds good." Nyx agreed. "Could I maybe have some strawberry shortcake too please?"
Both Lucifer and Alicia giggled and said at the same time, "Yeah sure."
They both blush and laugh at the same time. Even Nyx laughed along, happy to be with the people she cares about and is safe.
Taking out his trident, Lucifer teleports the girls and himself home.
Meanwhile, the Devil, still as a spider, managed to peel himself off the tree, groaning before he fell to the ground. He rubbed his head before his bad luck got a lot worse when a pinecone fell out of the tree and landed atop of him, squashing him flat.
"Owwww…"
Back in the cottage Lucifer walked up to the front door knocking on it to be let in while he held Alicia and Nyx in his hand. The door opens to reveal Mugman.
"Oh hey, Mr. Lucifer. How was your-?" Mugman stopped when he noticed Alicia. "Good gosh! What happened?!"
"Take a guess, Mugsy." said Alicia casually.
Mugman didn't need to as he already had a good idea. Without another word, he allowed Lucifer inside.
Once inside the cottage, Lucifer carefully placed Alicia on the couch and pointed with his trident. He gently spackled a small beam of blue magic from it and it surrounded Alicia like a sparkling bubble. The next thing Alicia knew, she started to grow bigger until she was back to normal and she was sitting on the couch like she normally would.
In that moment Cuphead and Cuppy entered the living room, fascinated and shocked at the same time to see what happened.
"Ooooh! This is new." Cuphead commented.
"Yeah, I have never seen that before and I know him longer than you." added Cuppy.
"If I had shrunken her in the past, I can easily return her to normal size when needed." Lucifer stated. "Besides, it would save Bon Bon the trouble with gathering some ingredients to make some of her special growth cookies for that."
"Don't remind me of that time again." Alicia shivers just thinking about it.
"Sorry, dear." Lucifer apologised, feeling ashamed and embarrassed by the incident since his wife's first adventure back home in their Inkwell Isles before they were married.
That was one memory he was not proud of.
"What matters is that Alicia's back to normal-size and we're safe." Nyx pointed out.
"Nyx is right. The Devil is out of the picture, I'm normal sized and back with my one and only husband." Alicia said happily she kissed him on his nose.
"So true." Lucifer beamed. "So… care for that movie with a little cuddle session thrown in?"
Alicia didn't say no to that. "I was wondering when you would ask me that."
She was happy to be safe with her husband again and she was lucky to have him and a loyal friend like Nyx looking out for her.
Who could ever ask for more?
