Woah another AzuLeo fanfic. Duh cuz I love this ship.
This is basically a sequel of Special Someone, where my man Leo is a socially awkward dork while Azucena accepts him anyway and the two fall in love HAHAHAHAA!

Following up from Special Someone, we see Leo trying to gather the courage to tell Azucena his feelings, but there is still a long way to go before he can actually do it. Leo seeks advice from his father and friends, while Azucena thinks bit about who Leo really is to her.
As always, Leo is a he/him in this fanfic, so if you are a salty person that hates he/him Leo, it's fine, I accept ur opinion :)

This story's gonna have 3 chapters. The first one is from Leo's perspective, which will be a bit longer, Azucena's perspective, which is a bit shorter, and the final segment, where these two lovebirds meet AGAINNN.

After some long waiting hours and many long queues, Leo was finally back in his apartment in Germany.
The trip back from New York was hectic, but nonetheless, Leo was thankful to be alive.
Leo was more than happy. He was overjoyed that his meeting with Azucena went well.
He was relieved that Azucena was really patient with him, answering his questions concerning the Ortiz farm and his repeated stuttering due to nervousness.
But as always, nothing is perfect. Concerning, coffee, man. She was WAY TOO enthusiastic about it, but since Leo himself is a very patient person, he didn't mind. He is a coffee enthusiast as well, after all. However, her very enthusiasm on the beverage is what normal people would consider "weird," or straight up "insane."
The more he talked with Azucena, the less nervous he was spending time around her. He managed to keep his stuttering (most of it, at least) in control, and he and Azucena exchanged many topics, such as their favourite kinds of coffee, cute animals, facts about their origin countries, and more.
However, Leo still had a dilemma.
For some reason, he still felt that he had a really long way to go before he could tell Azucena how he felt.
The huge wall standing between him and that faraway goal was this:
He felt he couldn't connect well enough with Azucena.
Of course, Azucena had to tell him on multiple occasions that they were good friends, but Leo, for the LIFE of him, felt unworthy of being her friend. Sometimes he was worried they wouldn't be a good fit together, and even feared that one day Azucena would no longer be interested in him.
Then gave birth to another problem: good friends. What if...Azucena wasn't ready for a relationship when Leo confesses? Leo wanted a deeper relationship than just good friends, but he also didn't want to push it. Plus, would Azucena really like him that way? It would be crazy to think someone as energetic, smart, sweet, and absolutely stunning would fall for someone as plain and basic as him. At least, that's what he thought of himself. (I don't mean it Leo dear you're amazing...low self-esteem get outta here the sad energy is crazy. 8.8)
However, it was worth a try, right? Leo wanted to get his feelings out of his chest, and there was no other way of doing it other than telling her honestly and directly.
Leo decided to go to his mini balcony again to get some fresh air. This was already the third time he had done this. It was yet another sleepless night.
He looked up at the night sky. The stars glittered. Their light made the night sky even more beautiful.
And yet, all he could think about was her.
Leo knew that the past few days, he hadn't been getting enough sleep, but he couldn't exactly blame Azucena for his own sleep deprivation.
It was his fault for always staying up late at night, thinking about the next time they would chat, whether she sent him a text or not, the next time they'd get coffee together, or a time where they'd visit each other's countries.
"Stupid, Leo! Stupid, stupid, stupid! Stop thinking like that!!!" He thought to himself often at nights like these, while covering his strawberry red face.
He'd very much love to visit Peru, though. To see the Ortiz farm with growing coffee beans, ADORABLE alpacas, the cheerful locals, the mysterious ruins and caves, and most of all...
Azucena herself.
Oh, no. He really can't wait to see her again, can he? Leo smacks himself once again. How hard (and far) had he fallen, exactly? He seriously isn't going to Peru JUST to see Azucena.
Leo decided. This simply wasn't gonna work! He can't just stay awake all night! He's barely gotten enough sleep this past week! All this thinking about his huge crush on Azucena had been depriving him of rest! What could he do?
As if his logical self wasn't controlling him, he pulled out his phone and decided to chat with Azucena. For some reason, he didn't stop to worry if she was asleep or busy or if he was disturbing her. It would seem very illogical to text her this late at night, but oh well...some things are worth trying!
After some risk-taking and courageous acts of asking for Azucena's number, she surprisingly said yes, and Leo basically had what every one of her fans wanted. He was planning on keeping the fact he had Azucena's number to himself, lest word got out, and suddenly a crazy 1 million plus vs 1 person manhunt ensued.
Going on Messenger, he pondered on what he should say. He eventually went with a short and simple message to not make her believe she was the reason he couldn't sleep tonight.
"Hey, Azucena."
"It's currently, like, 12:15 a.m. here in Germany. Sorry to bother you."
"Just can't sleep. At all. I wanted to text a friend, and, I don't know...you popped up in my head."
"Hope you're doing okay all the way in Peru. And that your flight didn't get delayed."
"Don't worry...I'll try to sleep soon. Good night or good morning, whatever the time is there."
":)"
Just as Leo was about to lie down on his bed to try and sleep again, Azucena immediately responded to his text.
"Hi!! I hope you're doing okay, too."
"It's no good to stay up late, okay? Make sure to get some rest!"
"And I'm doing great, thanks for asking! It's currently about 3pm here. You're not bothering me, don't worry about it~"
"See you soon, get some z's, okay~"
She's so sweet.
But Leo also feels bad that he makes her worry like this. Maybe he should just approach others...maybe his father, or his friends?
THAT'S IT! That's the solution he was looking for. He had friends and a supportive father to share his problems to. Well, it's worth a shot.
In the field of romance, Leo was very clueless, but perhaps, with the help of his father and his friends, he can someday get his feelings through to Azucena.

The next day...
At the usual workplace of Yggdrasil, the Rebel Hanger, everyone was having lunch. Xiaoyu and Jin came to visit them today, and Xiaoyu brought many of her favourite snacks to share with everyone.
As everyone in Yggdrasil stuffed themselves with the red bean buns, biscuits, and coffee, Jin, Xiaoyu, Lars, and Alisa were discussing matters along with Lee Chaolan.
In the corner near the parked planes, Niklas was stuffing himself with biscuits and coffee, but Leo was just staring at his half-full mug, while pondering many things in his head. Niklas gave Leo a tap on the shoulder.
"Come on, Leo! These biscuits are great with coffee. Try some!" He said, as he continued to munch and sip at the same time.
"Oh, uh...what?" Leo snapped out of his thoughts. He turned to his father, who gave him a silly look.
"Oh, no. I know that face! You're thinking about your crush again!!" Niklas shouted. The entire workforce of Yggdrasil, including Xiaoyu and Jin, ACTUALLY heard it.
"FATHER!!!!!" Leo screamed. "Come on!!!!! D-d-do you ever know when to be quiet???!!!"
Yeah. Everyone definitely heard that. Oh no.
Leo covered his tomato-red face in total embarrassment. Why, why, why, did his father have to shout THAT in public???!! Especially in front of the esteemed guests!
Jin and Xiaoyu turned their heads and Lars and Alisa immediately stopped talking when they heard the noise. Lee was laughing so hard, he was already on the floor, as all the workers kept shouting "OOOOOHHHH!" in the background.
Jin was genuinely curious about why Leo was shouting, so he and Xiaoyu decided to walk over to Leo and his father. As they approached, they saw Leo trying to choke the life out of him in pure anger, frustration, and embarrassment.
"Okay, Leo! I'm sorry! You can stop now!"
"No, no, please NO! Why father! Why did you say that!!!"
As Xiaoyu looked at Jin in pure confusion and worry, Jin gave her a look ensuring he knew how to diffuse the situation. Finally, Jin just spoke simply.
"Is something the matter?"
His words caused the both of them to remain silent.
"So sorry about the commotion. Me and my son are just having a family friendly fight, that's all. I may have embarrassed him from mentioning his crush in public, though."
Leo side-eyed him angrily as he said those words, and Niklas simply looked away and whistled, as if he wasn't involved.
"Well, I'm out of here. You know, I have...business to attend to! Gotta dip!" Niklas runs off.
"He-Hey! Get back here, Father! I'm not done with you yet!!!" Leo shouts, but after realising who he was with, he turns to Xiaoyu and Jin with a sheepish look.
"S-sorry about that..." was all that could exit Leo's mouth.
"Wow, you have a crush?" Xiaoyu asked. "Aw, that's so cute!" Xiaoyu taps Jin with a cheeky grin. "What do you think, Jin?"
Jin looked at his girlfriend with a seemingly expressionless face, but deep down he was happy with her high spirits. He simply nodded and turned to Leo.
"Yeah...honestly, I've been having trouble sleeping because I'm up late thinking only about...her. I really want to tell her my feelings one day, but...everything feels so complicated. I don't know what to do."
"I see." Jin replies. "Well, I'm not good in the romance department either, but what I can tell you is this: just be you and spend time with her."
"Yeah!" Xiaoyu said cheerfully. "Once you two grow very close and you feel more comfortable with each other, then you tell her how you feel!"
Jin looks at Xiaoyu with a small smile and nods in agreement with her words. Then the two of them look at Leo with encouraging faces, letting him know that they are here to support him.
"What I needed to do was so simple. I really do just overthink everything. Thank you both so much! Sorry for all the trouble."
"It's what friends do," Jin replies. "People in this world have the habit of overthinking. No one's perfect. What we do know, is that you're a kind person, Leo. It may not look like it, but she could be feeling the same way."
"Definitely," Xiaoyu follows up. "You had a really hard time telling me you liked me back, you know~"
As soon as those words exited the mouth of the cheerful twin-ponytail girl, Jin could only look away in embarrassment. Leo laughed at the sight of a flustered Jin. It was truly one of the rarest things in the world. Something only Xiaoyu could do.
And lighting up Leo's world...
That was something only Azucena could do.

back at Leo's apartment...
Leo finally arrived at his apartment after a long day of work. He was looking forward to getting some sleep.
As he laid down on his bed with pyjamas on, he grabbed his phone and pondered for a bit on the screen.
The both of them just...weren't gonna connect enough if they had to travel all the way somewhere just to see each other every time.
So Leo had an idea. It seemed risky asking something this big of someone like her, but it was worth the try.
Opening Messenger once more, he went to text Azucena.
"Hey Azucena."
"I uh."
"I have a request."
"I don't know how to be direct about this. I'm sorry...I'm figuring out a way to tell you."
Suddenly, as Leo was typing his next message, he saw that she instantly went online. He panicked when he saw her typing. Then, in the blink of an eye, she sent a reply.
"I don't mind! Take your time. I still have a few hours before I need to go and help my relatives watch the alpacas. What's up??? 0.0"
Goodness. How in the WORLD was he gonna tell her? Well, it's now or never. Very important things are on the line if he goes through with his. His friendship with her, his logical mind, and his dignity. He finally sends what he was going to say.
"I want to see you again."
"Could we arrange another meetup? But this time...I was hoping we could arrange for us to meet in Germany and you can explore and experience the country for a few days or maybe a week. Is your schedule crowded?"
Leo couldn't control his heartbeat. He clenched his chest and tried to steady his breathing, but it wasn't working. He began to sweat even though the bedroom was air-conditioned, and even the cold air from the air conditioner couldn't cool off his warm face.
Every second he saw her type made him panic even more.
Finally, after a full minute, she responded.
"Sure!!!!"
"My schedule for the next two weeks will be a bit crowded though...I will definitely be able to come by the end of September!"
"You know, I've been thinking about you a lot, too. Ever since our second meeting at Smith's Coffee, I've been looking forward to the next time we'd meet. If only I weren't so busy, I'd TOTALLY schedule more meetings with you."
"After long weeks of working with coffee beans, watching over alpacas, entering MMA tournaments, and making people around the world smile, I just need a companion to chat with, you know?"
Leo noticed a switch of mood in Azucena. Sending texts like these weren't her type. He got concerned.
What concerned him most was the text that followed.
"Is it fine to desire things?"
However, as Leo tried to read and process this message, Azucena deleted it. Strange.
Immediately, she was typing again and quickly sent another message.
"Sorry, that came out wrong. Please...forget about that message."
"But enough about my issues. I can't wait to meet you again!!"
"See you soon, Leo~"
Leo was happy.
He felt pretty bad though, because from the look of Azucena's text, it's as if she'd push aside her own problems just for others.
Yet she doesn't show her true purposes or feelings.
It's just a...smile. So beautiful and sweet.
But it was merely just an assumption. He didn't want to pry into her personal life unless she was willing to talk to him about it.
To finally put all his worries to rest, he sent one more text before going to bed.
"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it too!"
"Please take care of yourself, okay?"
"Get enough rest, and take your work at your own pace."
"Good night. :)"
Once Leo sent the text, Azucena sent a heart and went offline.
As Leo shut his eyelids to sleep, all he could think about was the Peruvian coffee enthusiast...
...and how he was gonna connect more with her.

Ending Notes
Done with part 1! It's pretty short, to be honest. I hope you guys like it.
Now time to do some explanations for things that many of you might not understand concerning my writing choices.
1. Azucena's out of character texts and dialogue
- My reason for this is that I want Azucena to be more than just "coffee." I wanted her to have a bit of a sad backstory on how she came to glory as an MMA champion and the self-proclaimed Coffee Queen. I hope you all aren't weirded out by this writing choice. I should've mentioned this in Special Someone, but forgot about it.
2. Leo's he/him status
- Look, I'm sorry. If you all wanted they/them or she/her Leo, you won't find it here. I still want you to read my fanfics with Leo though. I came to the conclusion that if any of you have problems with he/him Leo in a fanfic, sorry, that's a YOU problem. If you're gonna negatively comment concerning this despite my disclaimers, just...don't. Please? I put a lotta effort on these, so I would be pretty frustrated that someone would hate on it just for Leo's gender.
3. Niklas being a goofy dad
- Just watch Leo's Tekken 8 character episode ending. You'll understand. This is really just my personal head-canon for him. In truth, he'd just be a jokester dad.
4. Character cameos
- Concerning this, characters will occasionally make cameos. Depending on my mood, might make them interact with the main characters. Hope you all are looking forward to that.
Lastly:
5. The other ships
- Yes. Most of the ships I like in Tekken are all straight. Are we gonna have a problem? I just personally think they're cute and make the fanfics more sweeter and exciting.
Ight, I guess this is all the stuff I should've addressed in Special Someone's ending notes.
