The screen showed a terrible display of the no signal screen for about three seconds and cuts to Chris, who was looking as if he was ready to do some serious mountain hiking.
"Last time on Total Drama," he began. "One of our returnees, Antoinette, had to say goodbye for good after her head didn't heal properly. Everyone thought she changed but she didn't." The host laughed. "Well, good riddance. Anyway, we had Sami lead the pack through a performance that was actually pretty decent compared to that challenge in Act I?"
A loud crash was heard off screen. "I think my megaphone just fell off the shelf there. Uh… we'll be right back."
*Opening Theme*
Dear mom and dad, I'm doing fine
The camera zooms into the dance practice room where Lyle was practicing his ballet. May and Sami were watching him and applauded as he landed on his plié successfully, while Arabelle on the other hand, watched with disgust.
You're always on my mind
The camera leaves the room and heads to the auditorium where we can see Beatrice masterfully playing the piano until Antoinette sits on the keys smirking, causing several off-key notes being played. Ryder sees this and pushes Antoinette off the piano, causing her to land face first to the floor and Ryder and Beatrice high-fived.
You asked me what I wanted to be
The camera zooms under the high-five and next thing we see is that we are in the bedroom of one of the teams' houses, where Janice was writing in her diary. Toxa was standing right behind her, rubbing her hands as if she had a plan. Toxa then turns back, only to find Misha crossing her arms. On the window however, we can see Pierre trying to get a peek of the girls.
And now I think the answer is plain to see
The camera warps to the other house's living room, where we can see Rival and Therion doing their handshake. Mara is then seen in the window waving at them causing Therion to blush but then scowls when he sees Mara taken away by Ulysses. Both boys however, ignored Alec, who served them a plate of cookies, with a shocked expression on his face.
I wanna be famous
The camera zooms into the cookies and warps to the backstage where we can see Carter and Mag arguing, with Nash trying to break them up, by throwing his lasso at them. Lee on the other hand, freaks out as he sees this, and runs away from them instead of telling them something important.
I wanna live close to the sun
We then get a view of the storage room, where Gordon and Vanessa were looking for something. Colin opens the door, scaring the two, but leaves after that with a downed expression.
Go pack your bags, I've already gone far
The camera then warps again to the dressing room, where we see Adala and Zack comforting Sybil, who looked as if she were crying. It then pans onto ELV on the other side of the room, who happens to pass by and (unintentionally) begins to eavesdrop.
Everything to prove, what can you say?
We now go to the cafeteria where we can see Holly, Evan, and Leticia chatting. Arreis and Kimmie have plates of food in their hand but Kimmie accidentally drops the food on Holly, making her mad. Mairead was on the other table, laughing, while Gabe didn't look too pleased.
I'll be there one day
The camera quickly zooms into a small library where Dustin, Oli, and Robert were playing cards. However Maya comes in and slams the table, causing all cards to fall off, getting glares from the three boys.
'Cause I wanna be famous
The scene then swaps to a camera room, where we can see Brea, Blaineley, Chris, and Chef arguing. Don then arrives and stops everyone but is stopped when Enrique starts scolding them.
Na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na!
The scene switches to the office room where we can see Chris holding a bunch of papers, then leaves his office with a note that says "NO TRESPASSING" in big red letters.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
The first "I wanna be" shows the Sopranos (Janice, Sami, Toxa, Beatrice, Kimmie) against the Tenors (Alec, Colin, Zack, Lyle, Oli). The second "I wanna be" shows the Mezzo-Sopranos (Vanessa, Misha, Adala, May, Mairead) and the Mezzo-Tenors (Gordon, Pierre, Therion, Nash, Robert) shaking hands. The "I wanna be famous" shows the Altos (Arabelle, Antoinette, Mag, Sybil, Arreis) and Basses (Rival, Ryder, Carter, ELV, Gabe) sharing a group hug.
I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous
The fourth "I wanna be" shows the four interns standing there with mixed expressions. The fifth "I wanna be" shows the five judges with different reactions from different performances. In the second "I wanna be famous" shows the five hosts crossing their arms with smirks on their faces.
*whistling in tune*
The whole cast can now be seen on the stage, bowing as the audience applauds them loudly. Flowers were being thrown to the stage as the curtain closed, revealing the season's title, "Total Drama Act II: The Second Sonatine" in gold letters. The episode title can be seen written below, in silver letters.
*End opening theme*
Total Drama Act II: The Second Sonatine
Episode 20: Journey to Mt. Sonatine
Day 31, Fresh Entertainment Bldg.
As the final eight were still in their rooms sleeping, Chris took the chance to wake them all up using his trusty megaphone. "ALRIGHT, PERFORMEEEEEEERS!" he yelled, not really caring if he would wake up anyone else sleeping around the building. "Wake up because we're going to take the challenge earlier today!"
Lyle emerged out of his room in his sleeping jacket and pjs. He stretched out and yawned. "What in the earth is going on? Isn't it like, six in the morning?"
Carter exited in the room, groggily as ever. "Be glad it wasn't three."
Pierre exited the room with a huge backpack and a bunch of things, looking as if he was about to run away. "Were you guys even paying attention last night?"
Colin raised an eyebrow. "...Last night? What happened last night?"
"Shit happened last night. Duh." Misha nonchalantly stated.
Sami exited out of her room, looking as optimistic as ever despite everything that happened. "What's the challenge for today?"
Chris just flashed the remaining teens a very sarcastic looking smile. "Pack up everything you need because in this challenge, we are going hiking!"
Gordon: He flinches as he suddenly remembered a certain challenge. "I hope this won't be the camping challenge part two."
Beatrice raised an eyebrow. "Hiking? Where are we going to hike? I don't remember seeing any mountains on this island…"
"There's one." Chris interrupted the timid seer. "Mt. Sonatine. A lot of people usually hike up there especially in the summertime just to get some fresh mountain air. It's actually a tourist spot as of late. Your challenge is to get to the top of the mountain as fast as you can. Just make sure you don't get last place. Or… second to last place."
Carter didn't look as if he was going to believe Chris. "Are you sure about that? That honestly sounds… too easy."
"Oh, have I mentioned that some areas of Mt. Sonatine are dangerous?" The host suddenly shot. "Normally tourists don't go there. But we are."
Carter scoffed. "Oh wow, now that's reassuring. Hope we don't run into jumping bears or swimming wolves."
Everyone looked at Carter.
"Okay, I'll keep quiet."
Mt. Sonatine - Base
An hour has passed, and the bus made a full stop to the base of Mt. Sonatine. The mountain itself isn't too high up, but it would still take an entire journey to get up there. The cast exited the bus and began to survey the area, immediately noticing that not many tourists are present.
"I thought you said that this place is bustling with tourists lately?" Sami asked Chris.
Chris was shocked at how wrong his prediction was. "Well, I guess this handsome man isn't always correct." Lots of groans were heard. "Not my problem. Anyway, your job is to just get up there as fast as you can. That's literally it. And like I said, make sure you don't go last. Any questions?"
"What if we—"
"Go!" Chris shouted as loud as he could, followed by a gunshot sound coming from his (incredibly fake) gun, even causing some birds to fly away. Colin rolled his eyes as he got interrupted (and ignored) by Chris altogether.
The final eight, with their large baggages behind their backs, began running on the trail with all of their strengths.
"Move, bitch!" Misha obnoxiously shouted, delivering a rather wimpy push to Pierre.
"Oh… owww…" Pierre humorously jokes, mocking Misha's strength but soon receives a gorgeous kick to the kiwis, causing him to unceremoniously fall backwards to the start. "OWWW!"
As soon as he landed just below Chris' feet, he gave him a disappointed sigh. "Well, that's gonna take you forever to get back up again."
Pierre rolled his eyes and pointed to the trail where the others are. "Oh come on, they're not even a yard away—"
He and Chris both looked at the direction they were supposed to go, but the rest of the cast was no longer there.
"Yup, they are."
Mt. Sonatine - (Around ¼ distance from the start)
Carter was currently in the lead, with no one but Beatrice being a few meters behind.
"How… are you… so… fast!?" Beatrice panted, soon sitting down and resting against a tree after running up the trail for nearly almost an hour.
Carter just shrugged, not even feeling tired. "I don't know, I just am?" he asked himself.
As Carter began to trail away, Beatrice looked around her surroundings. Looking back to where she came from, she heard some sort of growl.
Oh no.
The timid seer gasped so loud, not even bothering to shut herself up and stood, screaming to Carter. "Carter, run!"
"Run?" Carter asked himself again, looking back and seeing Beatrice catching up to him… with a rather hungry and ferocious looking bear. "What the—"
"Come on, you dunce!" Beatrice lightly scolded and grabbed his arm, the two running up the trail.
They eventually ran towards a dead end, with a cliff that goes down about a storey or two below. There was a wooden boat on the bottom with a bay that leads forward into some sort of cave. "Crap. Where to now?"
"We jump." Carter instantly said.
"What? Carter, are you insane?" Beatrice exclaimed.
Carter rolled his eyes. "Come on, Beatrice. We're not that high up. Unless you wanna get bitten by a wild bear, then be my guest." He nonchalantly added, before jumping off the cliff and onto the boat with a rather loud thud, followed by a groan.
"Uh, you good?"
"Ergh, yeah. Just jump!"
Beatrice swallowed all reservations and future visions of getting fractures and gracefully jumped off the cliff. She landed on the wooden boat with a thud, unable to breathe for a few seconds before regaining her senses.
The two looked up and saw the bear staring at them. "Can it jump?" asked Beatrice weakly.
The bear jumped.
"I'll take that as a yes." Carter gritted his teeth and grabbed the oars. "Let's get out of here."
The two began paddling as fast as they can into the cave before them.
Mt. Sonatine - (Around ½ distance to the top)
It was around one in the afternoon. The sun was blazing like crazy and the cool mountain air wasn't enough to beat the heat.
"Ew, I feel like I'm starting to smell like sweat." Misha grimaced and began sniffing her arms.
Sami was fanning herself with her hand. "We all are. We have been walking for ages. I don't think we passed by any water sources."
"Either that or we unknowingly took the shit path to get here." Lyle sighed, opening up his water canister only to find nothing. "We need some water soon. I'm parched."
Gordon stopped in his tracks. "Guys, I hear something swishing."
"Swishing? I don't hear no fuck—"
"There's a lake! Over there!" Gordon pointed towards a clan of trees hiding a clear lake just behind them.
"Let's go!" Sami declared. She, Gordon, and Lyle began running towards the trees.
Misha stood there, dumbfounded. "Water can swish? What the fuck— hey, wait up! Jeez, now I'm starting to know what saunas feel like." She muttered before running after them.
When the group of four arrived at the lake, they immediately got their water canisters out and fill them up.
"Wait." Sami stopped them. "We don't even know if this is clean."
They all glanced at each other.
"Who's willing to take a taste test?" asked Lyle… before he, Sami, and Gordon looked at the elephant in the room.
Misha was baffled. "Oh come on!"
Sami got a plastic cup from her bag and scooped up some water. "Here. Just a sip."
The pink haired punk rocker stared at the cup of water and held it with her hands. There wasn't anything but clear water in it. "You sure there aren't any invisible fish swimming in here?"
"Misha, please." Gordon begged.
"Then why don't you assholes taste it?" Misha growled. "It doesn't have to be me all the time, you know!"
Lyle grabbed another plastic cup and scooped some. "She's got a point." he said, giving cups to Sami and Gordon.
Once the two scooped some water with their cups, they held and clinked them. "Cheers." they said, and took a gulp altogether.
When they finished their cups, that was when they realized that it tasted… fine. So they set their cups aside and immediately took some water in their hands, gulping it up.
Misha splashed some water on her face. "That is damn refreshing."
They refreshed themselves up with the cool water from the lake, instantly feeling recharged from the scorching afternoon heat that reigned the mountain ranges. However, they immediately stopped once they could hear some stomping.
"What was that?" asked Sami, looking behind the group.
"There are no damn fucking robots here, right?" Misha sighed. "Because jeez, I don't want to deal with those fuckers another time!"
Lyle squinted his eyes. "Then… what's that?" He asked, pointing towards something from the distance, towards something that seemed like some sort of… wolf?
"What the hell is a wolf doing here?" Gordon exclaimed. However, he only panicked when he saw that it saw them. "Hey, it's looking at us—"
"Quick! In the water!" Sami shouted.
The gang of four immediately dove into the lake as the wolf started to run towards them. It howled into the sky, calling its pack to come pounce on their prey.
"Shit shit shit shit shit shit shit—" Misha began a plethora of swears for the umpteenth time this season.
Further and deeper into the lake, Lyle could see an opening from down below the surface. "Down there!"
"I hope you shits have superman's lungs." Misha sighed and took a deep breath, plunging under the surface. Sami, Gordon, and Lyle followed suit and held their breaths, going down as well and into the opening.
Mt. Sonatine - (Around ⅓ distance to the top)
"Alone again. Of course. Ryder's not here anymore. Why should I bother— whoa!" Colin shrieked, tripping on to some tree roots and falling to the ground. "Ugh."
A hand was extended to him. He looked up, and all he could see was…
…Pierre.
"Looks like you need some help." Pierre chuckled. "Or at least… some company."
Colin rolled his eyes, but took his hand anyway. He dusted himself as he stood up.
"So…" Pierre jutted his chin. "Where to now?"
The downtrodden drama king squinted his eyes towards what seemed like some sort of cable car system. It looks like it was still working as they could see some cable cars moving on their routes. "We could take one of those." he pointed.
"Wouldn't that be cheating?" asked a suddenly frightened Pierre.
"It won't if we don't get caught." Colin nudged him. "Let's go, coward."
"Got it."
Colin: "That was funny… I called him a coward."
The two boarded the cable car. Once they were safely secured and fastened inside the cable car went up the mountain range. The two boys looked at the trail below them to check if they could see their opponents from up above.
"Look." Colin pointed towards a certain area where a familiar lake was situated. "Wolves. And it looks like someone dove into the lake judging by the ripples in the water."
Pierre squinted his blue eyes, looking closely at the lake Colin was talking about. "Maybe some of them did some skinny dipping."
Colin swatted Pierre's back. "No you fool, they were obviously trying to get away from those wolves."
"Dude, I was just joking, yeesh!" Pierre rolled his eyes, taken aback of Colin's actions towards him.
After some (really long) time, they have finally arrived at the top. The cable car slowed down just enough for the two to exit. And when they did so, they were met with someone no other than…
…Chris. And for some reason, he was laughing. "I knew someone would cheat and take the cable car."
"What?" Pierre was shocked. Colin on the other hand sort of expected that.
"'Course we cheated. It was my idea." he muttered, facepalming himself in realization.
Chris shrugged. "Well, let's just wait for the others to get here. The episode would be too boring if we end it right now." He pointed towards the benches on the side. "Just take a seat for now."
"...Good idea." Pierre nodded and sat down, accepting defeat altogether.
Mt. Sonatine - (Around ¾ distance to the top)
Beatrice and Carter had just exited the cave by following the river with their wooden boat. Once the river had turned into a stream and became thinner and thinner, it was now time to leave the boat behind.
"Well, it looks like we're near the top." Beatrice looked at the view below. There was nothing but clouds. "Most likely."
Carter continued on to the trail. "This path is gonna be a little bit steep. Try not to lag behind."
"Well try not to go so fast next time, yeah?" Beatrice countered.
When the two have been silently following the trail for about another hour, they could already see the sun setting.
"Jeez, how long have we been hiking?" Carter groaned. "I don't think I can see the top yet." When Beatrice didn't answer him, that was when he looked back. "Beatrice?"
The timid seer was steady on her tracks. She wasn't moving, but she was doing some thinking. "We're close. Like, really close." She said. "Something tells me that we're somehow going in the wrong direction… as if the end point was on the other side…"
"The other side? Like, the other side of this area?" Carter sighed in frustration. "Is there a way to get there fast? Who knows what animals are lurking around at night."
"We might see it if we keep going." Beatrice answered.
The untrusting teen raised an eyebrow. "I thought you said we were going on the wrong direction?"
Beatrice managed to catch up to him and was walking with him side by side. "Well we might not be, actually."
"Sometimes I just don't get you." Carter scratched his head in confusion.
Beatrice could only shrug in response. "I wasn't asking, but okay."
Eventually, they could see some light coming from the distance. That was when they decided to run towards it.
Mt. Sonatine - (Around ⅕ distance left to the top / summit)
It was now night time. Lyle, Misha, Sami, and Gordon, all wet from swimming, have been resting just below the trees on a trail that wasn't too far away from the area they were swimming earlier.
"I hope we lost them." Sami crossed her fingers.
Misha rolled her eyes. "Bitch, we lost them like, freaking centuries ago! Unless by some miracle, they grew fins of a fucking shark and suddenly know how to swim!"
When they heard a howl coming from the cave, that was when they stood up.
"And you said the wolves don't know how to fucking swim!?" Gordon panicked, standing up and beginning to make a run for it by following the trail.
"Well their trainers must be something else, then!" Lyle coughed.
Sami squinted her eyes as it was way too difficult to see through the night. "Hey, there are lights over there!"
"Let's go! Hurry!" Gordon yelled.
From the distance above, we could see Chris, Pierre, and Colin looking in two directions. One was where Carter and Beatrice were coming from and the other had Lyle, Sami, Misha, and Gordon moving towards them.
"They're coming they're coming they're coming!" Pierre screamed like an obnoxious kid in a candy store. Colin on the other hand, looked displeased as ever but decided to finally keep his mouth shut for once.
Chris got out a pair of binoculars from thin air. "And the first person to reach the goal is…"

"Lyle!" Chris applauded. "Congrats for winning immunity!"
He was the first to cross the line, followed by Carter (who nearly just jumped in an attempt to beat Lyle but failed miserably), Sami, Beatrice, Gordon, and Misha.
"Dang it!" Carter fell to the ground. "We were so close!"
"You mean you were so close?" Beatrice jokes. "I was lagging a bit behind, you know."
Gordon came to a sudden realization as soon as he heard the word immunity. "Wait… we're voting?"
"Yup." Chris nodded. "Just like the old times, eh Cogsworth?"
"I'm not a clock but okay." the flute player shrugged.
Chris ignored tge remark and checked his watch. "We'll be voting and we'll also be spending the night here. Don't want to get your stuff to waste."
Sami looked at him, confused. "You are being awfully nice today."
"Why thank you. It's in this handsome face." Chris boastfully pointed towards himself, earning gagging sounds from the cast. "Oh whatever. Thirty minutes before you decide who to vote for. And you two," he looked at Pierre and Colin. "You guys aren't voting. Just wait 'til the elimination is over and you along with whoever's gone here will take the cable car back down below."
With that, the cast dispersed in order to make another decision that would change the game.
Elimination - Mt. Sonatine Summit
The cast have decided not to meddle with anyone's choices as during the past thirty minutes, no one was talking to no one, which was probably a first for the whole cast. Chris had a plate of five cookies in his hand. Pierre, Gordon, Beatrice, Carter, Colin, Lyle, Misha, and Sami were all sitting on two separate long logs.
"So… obviously Pierre and Colin are out," Chris noted.
Colin growled. "You don't have to say that again and again, you know."
"Well I want to, so who is going to stop me, no?" he chuckled. "Anyway Beatrice, Gordon, Sami, and obviously Lyle have no votes against them."
Misha was taken aback, but for some reason, Carter expected this.
"One of you only got one vote. The other got five. Whoa." Chris stepped back a little. "To think that all of you are buddy buddy but did not discuss votes with each other. Anyway, the person eliminated tonight is…"

"...Misha! Congratulations!"
"Yeah, thanks." Misha stood up with a sarcastic grin. "What are you gonna do with all those cookies? I thought you were freaking going to give them to us?"
"Nope!" Chris bit into one. "This was all just for design."
"Yeah whatever bitch." Misha shrugged. Sami and Beatrice approached her.
"I'm sorry for voting for you." Sami sighed sadly. "No hard feelings."
Beatrice hung her head low. "Yeah, it was really hard to vote when none of the others seemed like the kind to do bad things other than Pierre."
"Hey, I'm eliminated already, you know!" Pierre groaned.
"All cool, bitches." Misha replied coolly. "I'm going to be part of the hosts in the next season anyway."
Carter widened his eyes. "So you're not joking about that?"
Misha stomped his foot. "You think I look like a joker, huh Kane?"
"Kinda." he gritted his teeth.
"Well, if any of us are gonna make it to the next season, then I guess we'll see you there then!" Lyle stated. "As for Colin and Pierre, you guys did good."
Another rare moment of Colin happened, he gave a small smile towards the remaining cast members. "Thanks."
"Can't say I did good but thanks for the compliment." Pierre shrugged.
The punk rocker raised an eyebrow. "We're still seeing each other's faces in the finale."
Gordon chuckled. "I forgot that that episode still exists."
Chris decided to break the chitter chatter by throwing a cookie at them. "Alright, goodbyes are up. Pierre, Colin, Misha, into the cable car you go."
Pierre, Misha, and Colin grabbed their bags and began to board the cable car while the remaining contestants waved at them. When the cable car descended, Chris dismissed the cast for the night.
"So three down… six more to go! Funny how there's literally no one being the main villain yet again. But out of these six, who knows who could turn the tide?"
"We can really hear you from over here, Chris." Lyle commented.
"Ugh, shush you!" Chris glared off screen. Turning back to the camera he plainly waved. "See you next episode folks. Tune in next episode or I will remix your faces."
End of episode.
FINAL 5: Beatrice, Carter, Gordon, Lyle, Sami
okay so hear me out lmao. this challenge right here… was going to be the finale challenge lmao. but i decided otherwise because last season's final challenge wasn't music-related so i decided to change the final challenge for this season lol. and for some reason this episode got lazy as all hell lmao i'm sorry guys. T_T
so why Pierre, Colin, and Misha leave this episode? pretty straightforward answer: their arcs for this season are pretty much done. plus Colin is in Act III and i don't think i would be able to keep him around for much longer without doing something to his arc that is meant for Act III lol (and without him becoming overly annoying now that i realized it T_T). Misha is also a host in Act III and she will have some stuff going on for her there. as for Pierre, yup he is pretty much done. for this season, yes. for this series? maybe. depends if he is officially getting in to Act IV.
we only have about two or three episodes left before this season (finally) ends. who do you guys think will be the finalists? who will be the winner? we'll find out soon!
i am going to do my best to cook up these final episodes as fast as i can. hopefully this season will finish before June 3rd, but i dunno. T_T we'll see! thanks for reading!
