The following morning, Poppy and Vee were out for a walk together.

"Looks like a lot has started to change," said Poppy.

"You can say that again," said Vee as she noticed some humans hanging out with some monsters at a nearby store. There was also a racist sign in someone's window being taken down.

"We're sorry!" the two suddenly heard three familiar voices say from in front of them which caused them to look in that direction.

"We were fools who did not understand how much we hurt you," said one of the boys from the day before to Iris.

"After yesterday we realized just what we had been doing," said another.

"You probably can't forgive us but we just wanted to apologize for what we had put you through and promise to leave you alone after this if that's what you want," said the third boy.

"My dad always says that holding a grudge is one of the worst things you can do," said Iris.

"So I forgive you," she said with a smile.

"I don't know how long this will last for adults, but I hope the kids remember yesterday forever," said Vee who couldn't help but smile at the sight before her.

"Same, and I hope things keep getting better from here," said Poppy before giving the vampire a kiss on the cheek.

The End.
