I've been toying about whether or not to put this up here for people to see, mainly because I don't want people to who are waiting (if any still are, I've kinda neglected everyone) for an update to see this and get annoyed. But I guess I just wanted some feedback on it.

I got tired of Lord of the Forsaken, I turned it into a mess, no other way to say it, I fucked up the idea I had and tried to be really convoluted and wise and dropped the ball badly. Which led me to this rewrite idea. It starts earlier in time, back shortly after Day of the Dragon, I've finished two chapters of it. the pairing was decided to be a Harry/Valeera Sanguinar pairing but way down the line, like the time of the Onyxia storyline.

I was tempted to go Harry/Living!Sylvanas, but I just couldn't think of any way to make that idea work in regards to the keeping the Forsaken as a free entity without Sylvanas for them to rally around so at the moment I've decided to keep that as it is. I don't know, unless anyone can remember any other big ressurected characters that could be strong enough to create the group.

Song is the same as before, the next chapter of the story, the meeting of the Dragonflights to decide what to do with Harry, I didn't want to loiter on it for too long but I also wanted to make sure it was done relatively seriously

The Emerald Dream

It would be several days before Harry awoke again, during that time Ysera had moved his physical body from the dream, it now rested in the Emerald Dragonshrine, watched over by Ysera and a few of the elder Dragons. They were confused at why she had taken such an interest in the teen but she had waved them off when asked. They didn't press, other situations had been arising in the dream lately that had drawn their attention, a malignant presence was growing, tracking was proving difficult, the entity was being elusive, somehow able to hide from their searches for it. Even the Aspect herself was having trouble locating it but her attention for a while had been split as had her power. She had promised to give it full attention after this current situation was dealt with.

Harry awoke, early one morning, he sat up slowly in the bed he was resting in, he stretched, feeling more relaxed than he had been in a long time, his thoughts initially a bit blurry as he regained consciousness, he looked around expecting to be back in the room at the Dursley's but instead he found himself in what seemed to be a cave. A cavern was probably the better word for it, the area was huge, around the area there were floating green orbs generating light and warmth as well. In the distance he could hear the fluttering of wings and the sounds of animals. He checked himself as he sat up, the covers falling from him, seeing he was in a state of undress he glanced around looking for his school chest, seeing it nearby he pulled it over, grunting slightly under the exertion. Opening it he smiled, seeing the few items that he found most important to him.

The Photo Album, which held the only copies of his parents photos. Well the only copies that he could have now being in this different location. "I won't let anything happen to it." Harry muttered to himself, shifting it to the side, seeing the next key item, the Invisibility Cloak that used to belong to his father James, picking it up he let the soft fabric run through his hands before placing it to one side, it could wait, grabbing some basic clothes he quickly got dressed, shakily getting to his feet, his body feeling heavy, sluggish and unresponsive, he staggered as he stood, his legs giving away under him, he gripped the edge of the bed, holding himself steady. A wave of Nausea washed over him he fell, his balance completely gone. "The nausea will wear off soon," The familiar voice of Ysera spoke, he turned, moving from his hands and knees into a sitting position on the floor next to the bed, "You've been unconscious for several days, your body will regain its strength soon enough," she explained taking a nearby chair and turning it around. She reached down towards him, a gloved hand held out to him, he held off for a moment before taking her hand, she pulled slowly, he pushed off the ground, helping her slightly as he was helped to his feet and moved into the chair. "There are some things you should know before I take you to where you will be going," she spoke, her voice holding a seriousness that helped Harry's still disorientated and adjusting mind to focus more. "I will introduce you to my sister." She continued after a moment of silence. "With her agreement, it will be her Consort that introduces you to Rhonin." She paused again picking her words carefully. "She will want to speak with you to learn about you but I ask you to be patient, she has been through a trying time." She said and Harry remembered what she had said before about her sister having been held prisoner, forced to be used as a tool of war. He was amazed at the power that these opponents must have had if they were able to hold what he was told to be the aspect of life hostage. "She won't be the one to try and impede you." Ysera spoke again, seeing his attention shifting slightly. "Nozdormu, the Aspect of Time is the one most likely to try and return you." She started to explain, "time is not my domain so I do not see how this will all play out, Nozdormu sees all the possibilities, all that may happen, all that will happen… whether or not your arrival is good or bad will be determined by how he reacts. You are in essence an anomaly."

"So what happens if he decides I'm bad for the timeline?" Harry asked slowly, not sure he was liking the sudden change that this topic was taking.

"You will most likely be sent back to where you came, no harm will come of you though, that I can still guarantee." Ysera comforted and Harry let out a small sigh of relief. At least if this all amounted to nothing then he would just be returned. But still, his curiosity had been peaked greatly by this whole situation. "But remain calm, I do not think he will protest too much." She spoke with a smile.

"Do you have any idea what you have done!?" The loud and very angry voice of Nozdormu snapped, he stood opposite Ysera, the group having met at the top of Wyrmrest Temple at her request and now she was seeing the effects of her actions. "Already the timelines have started to change!" Nozdormu protested and Ysera just stood there, staring at him through her closed eyelids. Even now it still unnerved Harry with not only just how calm she was with pretty much everything but also the way she never really seemed truly there.

"You can see what is to come? Is it a danger?" She asked curiously, it was something that she wanted to know as well, she was a guardian of Azeroth, she took that role seriously and wanted to know if her own actions would cause harm to the world that she seeked to protect.

"Yes! No!" Nozdormu snapped, his answer changing several times as he spoke, the Bronze dragon, normally so certain about things was shaken by how it was changing. "I cannot see what cause he would have, there are several possible outcomes, each have the possibility to be beneficial or destructive to the likes of which we've never seen!" Nozdormu argued as he thought about the matter, Harry could see the turmoil in his eyes, there was doubt, something that the teen could tell the Aspect of Time was not used to experiencing. "We cannot change time to appeal to our own whims!" He snapped and Harry tilted his head in confusion. "Do you not think that I haven't wanted to change things… change them to save a person of importance, to change them to keep peace? I can, I see what will happen, the short moment of happiness will end in destruction. These have to happen and now you have changed things by bringing this anomaly among us." Nozdormu spoke and Harry frowned, not fond of being called an anomaly. "Everything is unravelling and changing!" He repeated and Ysera glanced at her sister.

"What do you say on this? Surely you must understand that change does not necessarily equal bad." She questioned. The woman in question looked doubtful, Harry could see much in her posture, she held herself with a grace and a certainty but at the same time he could see the shadow of distrust and uncertainty. She had suffered greatly at the hands of those that kept her prisoner and now Ysera had put her in the spotlight so to speak. She glanced at the man that was with her, he whispered quietly to her. It wasn't in a way that made her seem subservient to the man but in a way that showed she respected his opinion and held him in high regard. After a few more seconds she begun to speak.

"Change is not inherently bad, you're correct sister. But a decision of this magnitude, so soon after our full power was returned to us… Are you sure you did not act in haste?" She questioned and Ysera nodded.

"To the current situation it would appear that I acted in haste but I have been thinking on this idea for a long time, ever since I was first drawn to his dreams." She spoke, no hesitation or doubt in her voice. "I just lacked the power to do so until now for obvious reasons." She said, leaving the unexplained reasons to their own conclusions, they all knew, they had all suffered the diminished powers because of the Dragon Soul. "To see what he went through there, although the suffering wasn't physical… to an extent." She added almost as an afterthought. This made Harry tense. She had seen his dreams, his nightmares but the way she spoke, it was almost like she had known more. "It was unsuitable to keep him there, they believed that a prophecy revolved around him." She spoke and Nozdormu snorted in amusement.

"A prophecy? So vague, people glancing into the web of time and believing what they see will definitely come true. In the end it only happens because they force it to happen." Nozdormu spoke in disdain.

"So the prophecy had no guarantee to come true?" Harry spoke quietly, surprising the Aspects the only thing that Harry had said was a simple greeting when Ysera had introduced them. "There was no need for my parents to be killed?" He asked and he saw Alexstrasza flinch slightly, the loss of a loved one was bad enough, to lose both parents to murder was a pain that no child should have to carry on their shoulders… all in the name of a prophecy.

"No, something guided the Prophecy that struck you," Nozdormu started, his curiosity in how the mortal interacted with the web of time was something that both intrigued and frustrated him. "What did the prophecy say?" He asked, curiosity getting the better of him. Harry took a moment to collect his thoughts, to make sure he remembered correctly before he recited it word for word. Nozdormu looked thoughtful, mulling over the words of the prophecy before he shrugged it off. "You aren't needed for the completion of the prophecy," he summed up and Harry looked at him in surprise.

"What do you mean? It seems pretty clear that either of us would have to kill each other, especially after the way it's worded." Harry queried, unable to resist the urge to question the Aspect of Time.

"You question what you do not understand, I won't explain it to you now." Nozdormu responded, almost tauntingly. "I won't explain it to you because any explanation I give will not equal with what your preconceived notions are." Nozdormu continued to explain giving understanding to Harry. "When you are ready to truly see then I will tell you." He explained and Harry blinked in confusion unsure of what to say. Did this mean that Nozdormu wasn't going to be kicking him out back to where he was from?

"And what do you say Malygos?" Ysera questioned, turning to the last of the Aspects that had so far remained silent. The Master of Magic was one that Harry was most intrigued by, to be the 'master' of magic definitely was a title that caught Harry's interest, the amount that he must know, Harry wanted to know as well. But he knew that the Blue Dragon was going to have the least to do with him. From what Ysera had said, he would be the one least likely to care, still recovering from what had happened to him and his brood all those years ago. Harry didn't know what happened and he expected to find out in time but he wasn't going to pry.

"I do not care," he spoke harshly, glancing around at the aspects. "Why is this discussion even happening? The fact that Nozdormu hasn't sent him hurtling back to where he was from surely shows that although he speaks a lot, he is full of hot air and he has no intention of getting rid of him. You yourself won't request to send him back and I don't care." He said glancing at the Red Dragon Queen. "If this is all that concerns us for now then I will depart." He finished and Nozdormu visibly bristled at the disrespect that Malygos showed him.

"The consequences must be understood, yes I did not plan on removing him, but they needed to know the risk." Nozdormu growled and Alexstrasza stepped up between the two, holding her arms up to calm them.

"Malygos, your comments were unnecessary. Nozdormu was only explaining the risks, the doubt was there regardless of how dismissive you may be." She spoke and Malygos didn't say anything and Nozdormu stepped back visibly calming down. She smiled at this, glad that she was still able to diffuse a situation even if it was only a simple one like this. "Sister, you have something in mind for him I assume?" She spoke, knowing her sister she knew that she would already have an idea on what was needed to be done.

"It was another reason for me to arrange this meeting, I want him to have a normal life, with his skill in the magical arts the best chance he has for that would be in Dalaran." She spoke slowly and clearly, wanting to make sure she was heard. "I was doing this to ask you to see if Rhonin would be willing to look after him, to mentor him." She looked around, seeing the nod from Nozdormu and the slow but begrudging nod from Malygos. After a moment Alexstrasza turned her head to look at the only other male in the group that hadn't spoken to the group yet.

"I can take him to Rhonin and see what he says, at the moment though I wouldn't advise it, he wont be alone in Dalaran for long periods of time, he's currently travelling to each of the kingdoms, giving the details of what happened in freeing my Queen." He said glancing at Alexstrasza. "Until then, I can start his training if that is satisfactory with each of you and of course Harry himself." The man in question spoke up. "As you are already aware, I do have a place in Dalaran." He added and glanced between the group waiting to see their response.

"You were instrumental in restoring us to what we were and Dalaran does not know what you are. Can we trust Rhonin to keep your secret?" Malygos questioned, slowly his interest in the discussion being raised as it drew towards the magic users. "With his actions he has earned my respect but trust… I do not trust so easily." Malygos explained and Krasus didn't hesitate.

"After what we have been through I trust him to keep our secret, I trust him to help us, we just cannot keep him in the dark, he could be of vital importance." Krasus explained and while Malygos looked dubious, Alexstrasza nodded without hesitation.

"We… I owe him a great debt, one that I do not think I will ever be able to repay. Do what you think is best." She said, nodding her head in acceptance. The man walked over to Harry looking at him.

"Mr Potter, I am Korialstrasz, though to others of your kind I am known as Krasus," He introduced, looking at the raven haired teen. "If you are willing to accept it, I would offer to start your training and introduce you to the people of Dalaran." Krasus spoke and Harry looked at the dragon disguised in what he had learnt to be Elvish form.

He glanced at Ysera, she nodded her agreement. "How can I refuse an offer like that?" Harry asked with a smile and Krasus smiled as well.

"Excellent," Krasus started, stepping back he glanced around at everyone. "It will take time to set things up, give me a week, then I should have everything set up for your stay in Dalaran, including some extra tutors." He spoke, "though I am curious as to how much you know. Do you have anything that I can look at to see what you have learnt?"

"I was able to bring his supplies with him, books from his years at schools." Ysera explained and almost in response, a green dragon seemed to materialise, the familiar School trunk of Harry's appearing with the dragon before the dragon faded away again. "Would you take out one of your books?" She politely asked and Harry nodded his head, releasing the catch on the chest, "Go with something from the year you have just finished." She suggested, Harry nodded again, taking the book from the top of the chest, shifting both the invisibility cloak and Marauders Map out of the way to get to it. He looked at it, glancing at the book he grabbed before grimacing.

"Not this one… it's pretty much only useful as a paper weight." Harry muttered more to himself placing the book on the ground next to the chest as he looked for another one. Krasus out of curiosity picked it up looking at the simple cover, the title on the voice.

"Defensive Magical Theory by Wilbert Slinkhard." Krasus muttered flicking open the book, he looked at the contents page, looking at the titles of chapters. "Basic for Beginners… you said this book was from the year he just completed, what year are you in?" He asked as he continued to trace and look at the chapter titles.

"Fifth." Harry responded, grabbing the Transfiguration book.

"The Case of Non Offensive Responses to Magical Attacks? Non-Retaliation and Negotiation?" Krasus continued to read in disbelief. "What did your School teach?" He asked in disbelief.

"That is a long story, one that mainly involves corrupt and cowardly officials trying to enforce their will on the students of the school." Harry explained and Krasus closed the book, passing it back to Harry and taking the Transfiguration text.

He took several more moments to flick through it, reading several of the pages of the book. "Now this is more how it should be, Incantations, descriptions of what the spell does, diagrams… animated pictures as well, what a novel idea." He commented, closing the book after several moments and turning his head looking at Malygos and held out the book to him. Malygos looked at the book for a second before taking it with a slight nod of his head. "Though I notice all of them require a focus… a wand and a verbal incantation." Krasus continued in a querying tone.

"They don't have wandless magic… or at least not much of it where I am from, everything is done through the use of a wand. Wandless magic is possible but takes a long time to learn and from everything I've seen all but the most basic of spells drain people badly." Harry continued to explain and Krasus paused, looking thoughtful trying to understand the situation, to those who had been using magic without much of a focus it was a strange scenario to comprehend.

"Magic without a focus draining you," Krasus repeated muttering thoughtfully before glancing at the aspect of Magic who was still flicking through the book. "Do you have any ideas?"

"It's simple, they do not use any of the ambient magic." Malygos explained. "They only use their innate magic, at a guess, they do not know how to use the ambient magic that is around them."

"Not to mention that there is some corruption in the Government, power plays by 'pureblood' wizards and witches to keep those who aren't pureblood from learning all that they can." Harry generalised.

"Purebloods? Tch, at a guess they also eventually inbreed?" Malygos questioned and Harry nodded. "To which they breed their magic out of themselves, it requires fresh life, change, Magic is always growing, always changing, to hold back change will just cause it to wilt away and die." Malygos explained in annoyance. "It shows your people don't have true understanding of what they deal with." Malygos said with an almost smug satisfaction.

"It is a thing you are going to have to learn before any lessons can truly take place." Krasus spoke focusing attention on Harry.

"His magical core is strong, he should be quick to learn." Malygos added and Harry, glancing between the two could see that the Aspect of Magic had been fully drawn into the conversation.

"As important as this conversation is, we all have other things that need to be done." Nozdormu spoke up looking at the group.

"You're right, this isn't a conversation that needs to be had with all of us." Ysera agreed, "You said it would take you a week for you to prepare everything for him to stay at your place in Dalaran?" She repeated what he had said earlier, Krasus nodded his head. "I and mine will keep an eye on him for the week," She spoke and Harry closed the chest again. Standing up again and stepping back by Ysera. "I will take the time to get him up to date with what has happened. We can't throw him into the world unprepared." She reasoned and the others nodded their heads in acceptance.

"Then, one week today, I will come for him to take him to Dalaran." Krasus finalised and bowed taking a momen to glance around at the others. "With your permission I will leave to get everything prepared." He finished speaking more to Alexstrasza than the others. He respected them but they were not his Queen.

"A week it is." Ysera repeated and a glowing green portal started to form around her and Harry. The two turned and walked back through. They reappeared in what Harry now knew to be the Emerald Dragonshrine, a place purely for the Green Dragonflight and those that followed them, though they spent little time in the physical realm, preferring to remain in the Emerald Dream from what little he had learnt. Still they seemed to like this location, he didn't know why all he knew is that Ysera had opened the door for him to stay and he was grateful for it.

"Now," she spoke, the portal having closed behind them "there's something that I wish to speak with you about." She led him towards a table and chairs, they looked to have been grown out of the ground. Like they were part of the tree that they now stood under. "Your dreams." She reasoned and Harry looked confused.

"What about them?" He wasn't sure where this was going but he had a gut instinct as to what it was about.

"The actions at your Ministry still trouble you don't they?" She questioned and Harry tensed almost immediately. "Your actions speak more than you're willing to do." She pointed out in mild amusement. Harry frowned at her action but shrugged it off.

"I don't want to…"

"Talk about it?" She finished for him and again he found himself frowning. "You may think this isn't something for others to help you about, but I have seen how much you punish yourself, how much you suffer with these nightmares that occur nightly." She continued focusing her attention on Harry, her eyes locked on his. "Talk, about whatever you want, just start and go where you need to, I will wait and listen to what you have to say." She promised and Harry sighed, running a hand through his hair.

For several minutes they sat there, Harry didn't want to speak about the subject and Ysera just continued to wait for him, she had an eternity to wait for him to talk, even if he chose not to now. He opened his mouth, going to speak then stopped again, he sighed, trying to find the right words to use. Another few minutes of silence passed and Harry spoke up.

"Whatever I want?" He asked and she nodded her head.

"Whatever you want." She replied calmly.

And so he started to speak.
