Liko was nervous...
Liko was extremely nervous...!
Who wouldn't be extremely nervous when they're in the car of a man dressed head to toe in a scary looking costume. She felt a bid safe that her partner Pokemon Sprigatito was with her, but it barely calmed her unease.
Batman, meanwhile, was focusing on driving the batmobile as fast as he could to the location of the black dragon or the black Rayquaza as the girl in his car called it. He didn't know why it was in Gotham City or how this girl with the weird green cat ended up in the batcave. All he knew was that he needed to get to the bottom of this mystery!
"Um...Why don't you tell me your name?"inquired Liko, hoping that small talk would make her feel at ease.
"It's Batman."clearly said Batman.
"Your real name..."nervously inquired Liko.
"Classified."bluntly answered Batman.
"Okay..."said Liko, decided to drop the subject, since she could tell this guy was not going to tell her his real name anytime soon.
"Meow!"said Sprigatito, not like the attitude this guy was showing to her trainer.
"What can you tell me about the Black Rayquaza?"inquired Batman, ignoring the grass attack Pokemon's growling.
He figured this girl knew more about this creature called Black Rayquaza then he did. So it didn't hurt to ask.
"Um, I think my rotom phone can tell you more."said Liko before pulling out her phone and typing in Rayquaza on the Pokedex app.
(Rayquaza, the Sky High Pokémon. A Dragon and Flying type. It has lived for hundreds of millions of years in the ozone layer. When it flies at night, it resembles a shooting star)
"Noted. Can you tell me anything else about this Black Rayquaza?"inquired Batman, whose photographic memory memorized everything the strange phone said, but he wanted to hear what Liko had to say.
"Well... I think it knows how to use Draco meteor. It's a move where it shoots a blast of dragon energy into the sky before it forms a barrage of meteors towards the ground."said Liko, remembering Black Rayquaza doing that back on the island.
"I see..."said Batman, who did not like the sound of that move at all!
Especially if it is used in a populated city full of people!
Soon enough, the batmobile arrived at the scene where the Black Rayquaza was currently flying over Wayne Enterprises! Batman quickly disembarked from his vehicle before he went to the other side and gently offered a hand to Liko. He knows he was intimidating earlier in the Batcave, but that was only because he was not very fond of intruders. Now that he knows for sure that Liko most likely ended up in his lair by accident, he decided to be nicer... Batman style.
"Thank you."said Liko, who took Batman's gloved hand and gently got out of the batmobile with Sprigatito.
"This way."said Batman, before bringing the girl with him to the scene.
Batman, Liko, and Sprigatito quickly pass through the Gotham Police department, whose police officers were busy putting up barricades and making sure people stayed away from the black dragon! Some of the citizens of Gotham were either running away, taking photos of Black Rayquaza, or doing both! Batman, on the other hand, made his way over to a man who was barking out orders.
It was his long-time ally in the fight against crime, police commissioner Jim Gordon.
"Batman! Am I glad to see you. Do you have any idea how this black dragon arrived in our city? And who's the kid with the green cat?"inquired Gordon, referring to Liko and Sprigatito, with the former hiding behind Batman's back.
"Her name is Liko, and I believe she's where that black dragon is from. She says it's called Black Rayquaza, and I believe she's our best expert when it comes to dealing with it. What's the current situation?"said Batman, answering the commissioners' questions while asking his own.
"All it has done is fly around the tower, nothing more and nothing less. It looks like it's looking for something."said Gordon, as that was his best guess.
'He's right. Ever since I met Black Rayquaza, it has been acting very strangely. It's like it's searching for something or someone.' thought Liko to herself before she noticed that Batman was staring.
"Huh?"said Liko nervously, almost losing her grip of Sprigatito in the process.
"What do you have in mind?"inquired the Dark Knight, noticing that Liko was thinking of something.
"I think it may be after this."said Liko before pulling out the ancient pokeball.
"What is that?"inquired Batman.
"It's the ancient pokeball that was containing the Black Rayquaza until now."said Liko, quickly answering the question.
It was in that moment that the Black Rayquaza let out a mighty roar. It then look down at Liko and Batman, with the Gotham Police pulling out their guns to be ready to use on Rayquaza! Liko immediately noticed this and quickly jumped jumped on a police vehicle to try to use her body as a shield.
"Wait!"shouted Liko, getting the attention of the police and Batman.
"What are you doing, kid? Get down!"shouted commissioner Gordon, wondering what this girl was doing.
"Rayquaza isn't here to attack anyone! I'm sure it's just confused and scared!"said Liko, who did not like the situation one bit.
The police did not appear to listen and still aim their guns at Rayquaza. They doubted her bullets were going to do anything to the huge dragon, but they nonetheless had to protect the city! Liko was nervous and scared before she felt a reassuring hand touch her shoulder.
"The girl is right! That creature has had more than enough time to try to attack Gotham, and all it's done is move around like it's looking for someone."said Batman, surprising the police, as he's usually the one to jump the gun when a situation gets dangerous.
But then they remembered Batman had a no killing policy, so that's probably why he wants to protect the black dragon.
Rayquaza quickly noticed all of this and looked impressed. A moment earlier it was ready to use Draco meteor on the citizens of Gotham should they attack it, but this girl who reminds it of someone from long ago, and this man dressed like that man from long ago seems to have calmed it down. It then looked at Liko, or more specifically, the pendant around her neck. The Black Rayquaza then let out another mighty roar before it flew off to parts unknown!
"Rayquaza, wait!"shouted Liko, who tried to chase after it, and in that moment forgot you was on a police vehicle.
Liko and Sprigatito almost fell wanted all cold hard floor of Gotham before she was stopped by the Dark Knight.
"It's too late! That Black Rayquaza could be anywhere by now."said Batman, who scanners indicated that the Black Rayquaza had already made its way into the stratosphere.
So it could be anywhere by now!
"Rayquaza looked so lonely... like it was looking for someone it hasn't seen in a long time..."said Liko, who wanted to understand Rayquaza's feelings.
"You have a very kind heart."said Batman, who quickly noticed that this girl seemed to want to understand this Rayquaza creature rather than be afraid of it.
And he considered that admirable, even if it was a little foolish.
"Meow..."said the grass cat Pokemon, who is concerned about her trainer when she noticed the sad look on her face.
"I'm okay, Sprigatito. I'm just feeling a little overwhelmed after everything that has happened today."said Liko, who feels like things could be better right now, but they aren't.
Not only was she forced to leave Indigo Academy because of the Explorers, but now she was in a completely different world because of a Black Rayquaza and her pendant! Liko really wanted to see Friede, Orla, Murdock, and Mollie again. She wondered how they were doing since they were assigned to be her bodyguards and all. She hopes they don't blame themselves too much for her disappearing and that she can soon find a way to get back home.
"Are you okay?"inquired Batman, placing a reassuring hand on the girl's shoulder.
It was in that moment that Liko's eyes began to fill with tears before she let out loud cries as she hugged the Dark Knight. Batman was caught off guard by this before he placed his hands on her head and shoulder before stroking her head to assure her that she would be okay. Sprigatito had jumped away at the last moment and was about to say something before noticing how comfortable her trainer looked in the man wearing black armors arm's. She could immediately tell that Liko felt safe with this man and decided not to say something unless he did something to hurt Liko!
Batman, meanwhile, was telling Liko that everything was going to be okay. He knows she's probably scared and alone, and if it wasn't for that green cat that she was carrying, she would be a complete mess. It was obvious that everything was a new experience for her, and it was a little overwhelming. Batman knew those feelings all too well, so that is why he was being so calm and collected with Liko.
The citizens of Gotham, meanwhile, were busy taking photos of Batman comforting the girl, with some of the females in the crowd being a little jealous of the girl in Batman's arms.
"Ha...Liko, I know you've been through a lot today. But I need to take you with some of my friends."said Batman, causing the girl to look at him in the eyes.
"Your friends?"inquired Liko while wiping away her tears.
"My friends can hear you out and maybe help you get back to where you belong."said Batman, whose expertise on other worlds was limited.
But he knew certain people in the Justice League who might be able to help her.
"Really?"inquired Liko with hope.
"I can't promise anything, but I'm sure my friends can help you in some way."said Batman, who was hoping that the Justice League would help this girl.
"Thank you!"said Liko before hugging Batman tightly again.
"We need to get back to my vehicle, and then I can take you to where my friends are."said Batman before noticing Liko having a nervous look.
"What's wrong?"inquired Batman, wondering what was going on.
"Can...Can you carry me. All that excitement made my legs go numb."said Liko with a blush on her face since it was embarrassing to admit this.
Batman said nothing in quickly put Liko on his back. He then looked over at Sprigatito.
"Come on."said Batman, which caused the grass type Pokemon to quickly perch on his shoulder.
"Meow."said the grass cat Pokemon, who seems to like Batman's shoulder.
The Dark Knight didn't say anything else as he carried Liko back to the batmobile. As he was making his way through the crowd, he could hear some people making comments about if the girl was Batman's new girlfriend or something? The world's greatest detective ignored this since he was used to the spotlight by now and didn't care too much about it.
Liko, meanwhile, wasn't used to all the attention it was doing her best to hide her face, like doing things like pulling her hood over her head. While she was nervous, she felt safe at the same time, being with the Dark Knight.
'He looks scary, but it's so kind. I feel like he'll protect me, no matter what.' thought Liko, whose cheeks were a crimson red as she thought that.
Batman, on the other hand, quickly brought her over to the batmobile and placed her in her seat. He then gently put Sprigatito in her arms before noticing that Liko had fallen asleep, most likely exhausted by today's events.
Batman quickly removed his cape and placed it over Liko as a makeshift blanket. He then made his way into the driver's side of the batmobile before driving it off.
Little did he know that he had a little passenger riding underneath the chassis of the batmobile. The creature in question is a quadrupedal, frog-like Pokemon. It has light-blue skin, white hands, and a dark blue stripe from the center of its oval head to its nose. It has three fingers and two toes on its hands and feet. Its eyes, which have yellow sclerae, black irises, and white pupils, protrude vertically from its head due to their size.
"Froakie."said the Pokemon, who didn't know why, but ever since he got to this world, he has gained an interest in the man dressed head to toe and dark armor.
And he was determined to see where he went!
