Issei found himself in quite a predicament due to his friends' perverted antics. They couldn't resist sneaking around and peeping at the girls in various sports clubs as they changed before and after practice. From the Kendo and Judo clubs to Archery and even the Sumo Club, nothing was off-limits for them.

Issei, however, was not a fan of their behavior and tried his best to get them to stop. Their actions were not only perverse but also earned them the disgust of every girl in the school. It was no wonder they couldn't keep a girlfriend. When Issei confronted them about it, they pointed out that he didn't have a girlfriend and lacked dating experience. They challenged him to prove otherwise by finding a girlfriend who would be willing to date him.

To make matters worse, this was the day Issei was supposed to meet someone special. Yuma Amano, whom he had met one day while walking home from school, was supposed to come and meet him. She had portrayed herself as a shy and innocent girl, pretending to be interested in Issei and wanting him to be her boyfriend. If Issei hadn't remembered their past encounters, he might have fallen for her act.

He had eagerly agreed to be her boyfriend and go on a date, but something felt off. Yuma had no recollection of their previous interactions, even though they had known each other since childhood. She didn't remember playing together with her sister or anything about her own family. It was a strange and unsettling situation for Issei.

The date he had planned was pretty basic - going to fun places, playing games in the arcade, watching a movie, and having a meal. However, as the date went on, Issei could sense that it was painfully boring for her. After all, she was a girl who had experienced some serious things under the command of the Fallen General Azazel.

"It seems like this date hasn't been very exciting for you. I apologize, I thought that since you deal with so much stress, going on a date would help you relax. But, as luck would have it, today is the day I go to one of my favorite places - a club that holds a tournament once a month. And let me tell you, the prizes you can win if you perform well are definitely worth it."

She tried her best to appear innocent, but Issei could see right through her. It was clear that she found this date to be incredibly boring. "No, I'm actually having a great time on our date. But are you sure you want to take me to this tournament? Will we be safe there? The way you mentioned it made me feel a bit scared."

Issei couldn't help but chuckle. "No, Yuma, this club is for people who have a hobby of studying self-defense. The tournament is just a way for us to test our skills and learn from each other. The prizes are actually rewards given by the club's creator to motivate members to improve. It's like a fight club, you know? Trust me, it'll be fun and you have nothing to worry about. But, there's one catch - you need to go with a current club member to enter since it's held in a very special place."

As she agreed to go with him, Issei took her hand. She pretended to blush, but as soon as they held hands, a portal appeared. Issei stepped through it, with her following closely behind. They found themselves in a dungeon, similar to the ones Issei's uncle used to create. This was a training dungeon...

As soon as she witnessed the crowd preparing for battle, she couldn't help but be taken aback. The sight of various individuals, even different species, participating in the tournament was truly astonishing. What caught her attention the most was the unique way the prizes were awarded - in the form of healing potions that increased in rarity and value as the competitors climbed higher in rank. The first-place prize, in particular, left her in awe. It was a potion capable of saving someone on the brink of death, rejuvenating an entire body from a single strand of hair, or performing other miraculous medical feats. Its worth was equivalent to that of an entire palace.

Raynare found herself captivated by the spectacle unfolding before her eyes. Issei, who was initially thought to possess only average skills, was effortlessly triumphing over opponents twice or even three times his size. It almost seemed as if he was mimicking their attacks rather than aiming for victory. It was then that she recalled the purpose of this club - a place for individuals to learn and enhance their self-defense abilities.

Seated beside a voluptuous orc lady, Raynare couldn't help but strike up a conversation. Both of them were fixated on the screen, closely following Issei's intense battle. "So, you're here with Issei. No wonder you didn't have to go through the entrance exam like the rest of us. I suppose the owner of this club can't refuse someone who has the support of the reigning champion."

Curiosity piqued, Raynare inquired about the reigning club champion. She had no idea who this person was, causing a wave of laughter among the ladies watching the fight, including the orc beside her. "You must be joking! You arrived with him, didn't you? Issei is your boyfriend, or so he claimed to some of us. He's the reigning champion of this tournament. You have no idea how lucky you are. He's not only sweet, kind, skilled, and intelligent, but he's also respected by the frost giants and even the Norse gods, except for Loki."

Raynare couldn't believe her ears when she heard Issei's response. It completely shattered her preconceived notions about him. She had been told that he was weak, perverted, and worthless, but now she saw him in a completely different light. Issei had not only earned the respect of many people, but he was also a highly skilled fighter. It was astonishing to learn that he was not just a member of the club, but the reigning champion of the tournament.

As the grand prize winner once again, Issei's name was engraved on the winner's plaque. Raynare noticed that his name appeared multiple times, but what caught her attention was the name "Lucifer." Curiosity got the better of her, and she couldn't help but ask Issei about it. Who was this person with the name Lucifer?

Issei reassured her, explaining that Lucifer was actually his Uncle Sam. It turned out that one of his last names happened to be Lucifer, and the club had honored his family by writing it on the plaque when he used to participate in the tournament. Issei's first name was not mentioned, as it was a tradition to acknowledge the families of the champions.

Raynare's mind then shifted to the potion that Issei had won. It was a miraculous elixir, but she couldn't understand why he would need it. He hadn't sustained any injuries during the tournament, and his clothes were still intact. Curiosity piqued once again, she asked him what he planned to do with it.

To her surprise, Issei revealed that he intended to give the potion to her as a present for their first date. Raynare was taken aback by his thoughtfulness and couldn't believe his sincerity. It was a gesture that touched her deeply, and she couldn't help but feel a newfound appreciation for Issei.

If she were to bring this back to the Grigori, Azazel would be overjoyed. He might even reconsider the order to eliminate Issei, considering the value of someone who can acquire such a potent potion. It would be absolutely absurd to carry out the order, or so she would argue. But deep down, she simply wanted to spend more time with him. For some inexplicable reason, she felt a sense of comfort in his presence, and she couldn't quite comprehend why.

Issei held onto the hope that she would consume the potion herself. Once she did, her memories would be restored, and not just her body, but her mind and soul as well. This potion was his attempt to undo the manipulation and erasure of her memories, a way to help her remember who she truly was. Initially, he had only intended to do this for his childhood friend, which was why he agreed to participate in the monthly tournament, even though it was supposed to be their first date.

It pained him to see her pretending, unable to call her by her real name due to the complications it would bring. He didn't want to burden one of his childhood friends with such problems. As the day drew to a close and their date neared its end, they sat together on the edge of a fountain, watching the sunset. At that moment, she leaned in close and kissed him on the lips, sealing the end of their date.

Raynare finally returned to the church where she and the other fallen angels resided. She greeted her friends, Kalawarna and Mittelt, but Dohnaseek was far from pleased to hear that Raynare had failed to eliminate Issei. He didn't hold back in expressing his belief that Issei needed to die, as he posed a significant threat to the Fallen. According to their leaders, he possessed the boosted gear, which was far too powerful for a mere human to wield.

Raynare's face twisted into a scowl upon hearing Dohnaseek's insulting remarks about her date. Determined to defend her boyfriend, she decided to hit him with some shocking information. "You know what, I'm not going to kill him. Not now, not ever. Do you know why? Because my boyfriend, Issei, happens to be Lucifer Morningstar's nephew. Yeah, that's right. So he's definitely not a threat to us. In fact, I'm more surprised that he's not a part of the Fallen himself."

As she watched the shock register on Dohnaseek's face, Raynare continued confidently. They walked deeper into the abandoned church and she took a seat. "And even if I were stupid enough to try and harm him, he could easily wipe me out without breaking a sweat. I've seen him take down people who could make professional wrestlers look like Peewee Herman. He's much stronger than you think, and that's not even considering his sacred gear. So, if you're so eager to kill him, go ahead. But I won't be a part of it."

Mittelt couldn't help but smile as she listened to Raynare's words. "Of course you won't. He's the first guy you've ever called your boyfriend, and it's clear that you're not just pretending. I have to admit, both Kalawarna and I thought you two looked absolutely adorable together on your date. Although, we did lose track of you towards the end for some reason. We tried to find you, but it was like you weren't even in Kuoh anymore."

Raynare simply explained to her friends that her boyfriend had realized that their date was rather dull and decided to take her to watch a fighting tournament he participates in once a month. He used a mysterious ring to open a portal to a strange place, and she watched him emerge victorious. "Dohnaseek may believe that he is defenseless now because he can't figure out how to use his sacred gear, but from what I witnessed, he is far from helpless or defenseless. However, if that idiot wants to try and harm him, well, all I can say is rest in peace, because he definitely won't be among us if he does."

Curious, the two friends asked her to clarify her statement. "He happens to be the nephew of one of the highest leaders of the Fallen and is known as a Maou. Any fool who dares to attack him or his family will become the enemy of every single fallen and devil clan that is loyal to him. This means that they won't be able to escape his wrath, even if they hide in the underworld. There will be no safe haven for them."

"The truth is, Lucifer Morningstar played a crucial role in establishing the peace we currently enjoy between Heaven, the Devils, and us. Can you even fathom how powerful a person must be for Odin himself to consider him his adoptive son? Thor treats him like a brother, and the only reason Loki despises him is because his two children adore him and his daughter even wishes to marry him in the future. Do you honestly think I would want to harm someone so incredible and risk losing the chance to win his heart?"

Dohnaseek's desire to eliminate him stems from his fear of the Boosted Gear. However, her friends realized that attacking Issei would be a fatal mistake, just as Raynare had warned. This realization led them to remove Issei from their target list, shifting their focus to a nun who possessed the twilight healing ring as her sacred gear. It was evident that this nun had endured immense suffering due to the church's unjust expulsion for showing mercy to a devil.

The nun understood that possessing the healing ring would greatly benefit the Fallen, as healers were scarce among their ranks, especially when deployed away from the Grigori's main bases. However, she couldn't shake the feeling that this decision was a mistake. She felt compelled to protect Asia and prevent any cruel and unethical devil peerage from claiming her. She devised a plan to orchestrate a tragic event, followed by her revival under the condition of joining the devil's peerage. This would expose the true intentions of the one behind the scheme, revealing them as the villain.

Interestingly, Raynare discovered something intriguing about the potion Issei had given her. He had written a note advising her to keep the item, as it might prove useful in the future and potentially save her life. As she read the hidden note beneath the potion's cap, she couldn't help but feel that Issei genuinely valued her and cared for her. However, she also carried a deep sense of guilt for never revealing her true identity to him. She feared that once Issei discovered her initial intentions of using their date as a means to kill him, her chance of being with him would vanish.

The situation was complicated for Asia. The order to obtain the sacred gear came from the higher-ups of the Fallen, leaving her with no choice but to obey. Despite her intuition telling her otherwise, she couldn't disobey the order. However, there was a silver lining. If she succeeded in obtaining the gear, she could keep Asia away from Issei. Asia had arrived in Kou safely, but she got lost while trying to find the church she was supposed to go to. Amid her confusion, she encountered a kind young man named Issei in the park. He offered to help her find her way.

"Don't worry, getting lost in this place is understandable, especially if you're new here. So, come on, smile. I'll help you find the church you're looking for. But I'm curious, why are you going to such a remote and unknown church?" Issei asked, genuinely concerned for Asia. She couldn't refuse to answer when she saw his genuine care.

"My name is Asia Argento, and I've been sent to that church as my new assignment after being kicked out of the church I previously served. I did something that upset the cardinal. You see, I possess a unique healing ability. While walking through the streets, I witnessed a man helping a family trapped in a wrecked car. He managed to free them by ripping off the passenger door, allowing them to escape. Unfortunately, the car exploded, and the man took most of the damage while shielding the family with his own body. I was amazed by his selflessness and went to heal him. However, he told me not to because he was a devil. Despite his protests, I healed him anyway, disregarding the potential consequences and the anger others might feel towards me for healing a devil," Asia explained.

The man inquired about the reason behind her willingness to put herself in such a risky situation. Asia, recounting the words she had spoken to Issei, explained that she followed the teachings of the lord, who had once advised to love one's enemies, do good to those who hate, bless those who curse, and pray for those who mistreat. She believed that as a devoted nun, it was her duty to follow these teachings, which led her to the church in a city where faith was scarce. Despite the animosity she faced from some individuals in the city, Asia remained determined to make a positive impact. Grateful for the assistance in finding the church, she invited the man inside, offering him a glass of water to quench his thirst after their long walk together.

Issei, however, deeply appreciated Asia's kind gesture but knew that he couldn't allow her to endure such hardships. Being aware of his own non-human nature, he understood that if her act of helping a Devil became known, the authorities responsible for the church, even in its dilapidated state, would use it as an excuse to treat her even more harshly. Instead, he proposed that she accompany him on a tour of the nearby places, ensuring that she wouldn't get lost again. He hoped that by familiarizing herself with the city and sharing a meal with him, Asia would feel more at ease.

Misinterpreting Issei's offer as a divine blessing and a sign of God's providence, Asia gratefully accepted, believing that the young man assisting her was sent by the lord in her time of need. As promised, Issei guided her through the city, showing her the locations of all the essential amenities within walking distance of the church where she would be residing.

Little did Issei realize that their seemingly private stroll was not so private after all. Unbeknownst to him, a few of the Fallen beings lurking in the city were tailing them. Among them was Kalawarna, filled with concern for Issei and the nun, Mittlet. Another was gleefully observing Issei's sweet gestures towards Asia, and that was none other than the giddy one, while Raynare, feeling betrayed, seethed with anger at the sight of Issei holding the nun's hand. She was tempted to abandon her surveillance mission and confront them, demanding an explanation for his infidelity.

After Asia's little tour, she became acquainted with the layout of the place and was grateful for Issei's kindness. Holding her hand, he ensured she wouldn't get lost or wander off. However, it was a bit embarrassing for her since she had never held a boy's hand before, despite being the same age. Seeing her relaxed, Issei decided to take her to a pleasant plaza and bought them both ice cream. He thought it would quench her thirst and help her unwind.

Upon his return, Issei was relieved that he had purchased an extra cone. He noticed Asia engaged in conversation with Yuma, his girlfriend. Pretending to be curious about their connection, he asked how they knew each other so well. "Perfect timing," he thought to himself. "I had a feeling we might run into someone." He handed Yuma a chocolate cone, Asia a strawberry one, and kept a vanilla cone for himself.

"Oh, don't worry at all! You guys can chat freely. By the way, I happen to know Yuma very well," Asia inquired about how he knew Yuma, and Raynare seized the opportunity to casually mention that he knows her because, well, he's her boyfriend. Asia burst into laughter upon hearing this, clearly delighted to learn that Raynare has someone special in her life. This means she'll get to see Issei more often.

"Apologies if I interrupted your conversation. If there's anything you need help with, I'll do my best to assist you. Living in that church can't be easy, after all." Raynare glanced at Issei and assured him that it wasn't a big issue since she and two other friends also reside in the church. They'll be there to lend a hand. Asia curiously asked why Issei declined the offer to enter the church when she offered him a glass of water.

Issei contemplated whether or not to share this information, but he believed that honesty is the key to building trust. So, he decided to explain it simply and understandably, "Actually, it's quite straightforward. I'm not entirely human. I'm part devil, you see. My mother always warned me that going to church could be risky for me, so I tend to avoid it. It's nothing personal."

Raynare wasted no time in questioning Issei's claim, demanding proof. Reluctantly, Issei glanced around, realizing that there were only a few people nearby. Feeling a sense of relief, he decided to demonstrate his unique abilities. In an instant, his wings materialized and he stretched them out, savoring the sensation. Issei's display shocked Raynare, leaving her perplexed as to how a human could possess such demonic traits. The concept of a human and devil having a child, let alone possessing a sacred gear, was completely foreign to her.

"Have you ever heard of Nephilim? They are the offspring of an angel and a human. Well, a child born between a demon or devil and a human is called a Cambion. And that's exactly what I am. You know the legendary wizard Merlin? He was a Cambion too."

Raynare's understanding deepened as she realized that Issei's lineage made sense. Being the nephew of Lucifer Morningstar, it became clear that Issei wasn't merely adopted into a human family. He was, in fact, Lucifer's own flesh and blood. This revelation only solidified Raynare's certainty that crossing paths with Issei would be a fatal mistake.

Raynare sadly informs him that she must accompany Asia back to the church, apologizing for her sudden departure. However, before she leaves, she drops a bombshell on the others: Issei is the direct descendant of the legendary devil, Lucifer Morningstar. This revelation sends shivers down their spines, as they come to realize that Issei is not to be underestimated. His power is undeniably formidable, and with his sacred gear, he possesses the ability to stand against both devils and even heaven itself if need be. The devils quickly deduce that Issei's parents, as well as his father, were bestowed with the titles of two noble devil houses that had long been extinct. By resurrecting these four noble devil houses, they plan to pass down the titles to their children, ensuring the revival of these ancient and powerful lineages.

The cunning devils gradually realize that acquiring the titles of these four devil houses would greatly benefit them. Their motive behind this strategic move is to instill a sense of security among their people, who have faced numerous near-extinction situations. By doing so, they aim to reassure their community that their survival is more certain than feared. "Issei and his family possess such extraordinary abilities and power that anything less than this would be a grave insult, potentially leading to a major conflict within our realm. Therefore, we must now select four clans whose titles could eventually be passed down to Issei and his four siblings."

Despite the strong objections from the mighty devils, they find themselves with no choice but to concede. The sheer power of Issei alone is enough to strike fear in their hearts, not to mention the potential chaos that he and his three siblings could unleash. Reluctantly, they agree to follow the advice of Azazel and Rias's Sister and entrust the parents of Issei with the decision.

Little did Issei know that his revelation to Raynare had set off a chain of events. However, his main concern was Asia and how she would be treated by the church. He had no idea about her relationship with the people there, so all he could do was hope for the best. As Issei prepared to face numerous challenges in the future, he couldn't help but feel that the fate of the entire world rested on his shoulders.

Back at the church, Asia couldn't stop thinking about Issei. Even during her duties, his actions had left a lasting impact on her. A faint blush adorned her cheeks, revealing just how deeply Issei had touched her.
