Chapter 2: Night before the journey
"Ah, such a splendid idea! Your father was well known for helping others after all, it's only fitting that his daughter will follow his footsteps." He said as he looked at me with a glint in his eyes
I sighed and nodded as the Professor smiled and told me about my first task, a pretty easy run to Belin town's pokemart where I have to pick up a simple package there, what could go wrong? Spoiler alert everything.
Oh yeah, he also gave me my own pokedex to me to work on, this thing is nearly impossible.
He told me to check on my mom, she has been worried sick ever since I mysteriously vanished from my bedroom.
I took a deep breath and entered the room where my mom anxiously waited at the table while fidling around with her silvery hair.
"Hey mom.." I said as she ran up to me and embraced me saying how worried she is, my pokeball shook vigorously as Gible jumped off and lets out a happy growl
My mom bent down and petted the reptilian pokemon as it made a content sound.
"Aw, your pokemon looks adorable."
Leona, my mum's Pryroar jumped down from upstairs and nuzzled my legs affectionately as she let's out a happy purr which made me pet her softly.
I took a seat, as ny mom offered me a cup of hot chocolate and explained to her everything that happened in exquisitely detail, she listened carefully. She was shocked but relieved to see me safe and sound.
"Well, since you have your own pokemon you are going to need this." She handed me a trainer card, some potions and other battle items.
"I always knew the day would come that you would leave home. If only your father could see you he would be so proud." She said while wiping her eyes and Leona nuzzling her lap.
It's true that Dad has vanished since I was a baby, and when Gray was 6, but since my memories are intact I have a plan to bring him back
My mom also tossed in a costume box, I plan to stay here for the day since Nova(what I named Gible, my naming sense is trash thank you) needed rest since she's still not strong as her glory self.
I sat on my bed and tried to fall asleep asfter realizing how tired I was from the battle I had earlier, as I tried to fall asleep a thought emerged from my head.
Am I forgetting something, Oh shoot the package, I grabbed my pokeball, bounded off my bed, bid my mom a quick goodbye and made a beeline for Belin town
Oh God I feel like a idiot, that ass better not have it now, the cold winter air did nothing to bother my high temperature tolerance as I made my way into the city looking left and right spotting the blue roofed building.
I swiftly entered and bumped with a guy with spiky blonde hair, and it took me a moment to notice that he is one of those shadow grunts. We did a little stare off before he moved out of the way and ran off the shop with the parcel underneath his arm, wasting no time I rushed outside startling the shopkeeper and shoppers as I attempt to find the familiar shade of crimson that Marlon always wear.
I ran towards the route separating Belin town and Frozen heights, curse this fatigue I now miss the fact that I can ride around Nova in the past...or future.
I saw the worker from earlier trying to remove a giant pile of snow standing there looking behind him, he said that a mysterious man with red clothing melted the snow and was heading for the peak.
"Let's have a little reunion Marlon." I whispered darkly as I head towards the northern part of town, where the KBT Expressway is but was unfortunately blocked off by a fuckinv tree.
Which thankfully Marlon was kind enough to cut, I climbed up and saw Marlon along with two shadow grunts and Shadow warriors.
"Descend to me Articuno!!" Fuck I'm too late! I can't stop them in my current state.
"Hey, stop!" I snarled at them, they looked suprised but Marlon remained calm. He still commanded the Shadow warriors to hold the embodiment of ice down while he merely tossed a pokeball at it without giving a shit about me.
"Hey! Let Articuno Go!" I shouted in upmost fury, they may have a good reason but I cannot stand for this, Marlon proceeded to look at my rage filled eyes and it took him a good minute to finally notice me.
"You're that kid from the lab." He said with slight suprise in his voice accompanied by annoyance. He narrowed his eyes as he looked at me suspiciously
"Do you really want to be imprisoned again, or did someone send you."
I snapped back."I came on my own free will."
He told one of the grunts to hold me back, I couldn't do a thing since I know Marlon now is way out of my league...for now.
"Who do you think you are, huh? Do you think you can just follow us around and get away with it? Now don't expect mercy from the shadows!"
Yes, I can that's what I've been doing for a while back then.
She tossed out her pokeball revealing a small rectangular pokemon, a Snorunt. I responded by throwing out my Gible who flinched at the sight of the ice type, she frowned as he looked at me.
I smiled at her assuring Nova she can beat the Snorunt regardless of it's typing(and the fact that the Snorunt doesn't even know a singe ice type attack.)
Even the Beldum by my shoulder was cheering her up, lifting it's spirit it regained it's battle spirit. Nova let's out a loud roar as it prepares to battle, the grunt ordered it's Snorunt to use Astonish, Nova got hit but wasn't really affected thanks to her tough scales, she ran at the Snorunt attacking it with one metal claw attack which nearly made the Snorunt faint.
But it retaliated with a strong body slam knocking Nova out of balance but stood up nonetheless, and attacked her with a move I never knew she already learned, her mouth combusted with flames as she sunk her fangs into the Snorunt as it exploded on contact downing the ice type.
Nova already knows Fire Fang already!? She's progressing a bit faster than my first start.
Nonetheless I smiled and hugged her as the grunt reluctantly handed me the prize money and the pakage saying that thay already got what they wanted.
Which Ofcourse are the masterballs, those perfect masterpieces that could catch any pokemon without a hitch.
I sighed disappointed that I couldn't prevent them from catching Articuno, but even if I got there earlier I would get my ass whooped. Like I said earlier Marlon is still too strong for little old me.
I arrived at the lab, greeting the fellow researchers and handing Log the parcel with a solemn expression on my face, as the Beldum nuzzled my face which lightened my mood a little. I explained what happened to Professor and was ordered to go to Dresco town where his old friend who is well versed in Borrian history lives, gave me a map and led me down my merry way, but before that I need to do a little something
I returned Beldum to it's pokeball as I sent it to an another pc, specifically Gray's i already emailed him and said my goodbyes to Beldum. I sighed as I closed the Center's PC and stretched I thanked Nurse Joy as I walked outside still pretty bummed about what happened earlier.

I trekked back home with a lot thoughts in my mind, The rest is montaged into me doing some daily bullcrap that no one wants to see and went straight up towards my room and flopped on my bed waiting for sleep to come before.
"Gible?" A soft cry was heard as I looked to the right seeing Nova trying to jump into my bed but failing miserably, I smiled as I sat up and picked he up and set her beside me.
"You want to sleep next to me?" I said with a small chuckle, she nodded as she scooted closer to me and flopped down the sheets humming contently
I chuckle as I return to my slumber, because tomorrow will be big.
