Chapter 80 – The Request
Luke woke up, and snuggle more under the covers. Looking at his left, he smiled when saw Ines sleeping peacefully. She had being home the day before during the afternoon, after Dr. Lina changed her bandage and decided that she was okay to be home again. Of course the kids wanted to make sure their mother was okay and comfortable, especially the twins.
Opening her eyes, she smiled.
"Good morning," he said kissing her forehead. "Slept well?"
"Of course. Sleeping in my bed with my husband is much better than sleeping in and hospital room."
"Well you better enjoy your bed cause in less than a minute, two girls will entered through that door, and come into this bed, wanted to play doctors and change your bandage."
And right after he ended the sentence, the girls came running to the bedroom.
"Hey, be careful climbing the bed," Luke ordered them, which they obey. "And it is 7am, what are you two awake at this how? It is too early yet."
"We want to see how mama is and we want to change the bandage." Alli said, which made Padmé look at her.
"No, I will change mama's bandage," Padmé said right away.
"No," Alli said.
"HEY YOU TWO!" Luke said loudly making the girls stay quiet. "Papa will change the bandage, but you can out the bacta gel on it. So let's make a deal. Alli puts the gel in the morning and Padmé puts the gel in the afternoon. Is that a deal?"
"Yes!" the girls said at the same time.
"Good. Now, let's prepare everything. Mama will take a shower, then she will go to the living room, and we change the bandage, and then make breakfast."
"And what I will do all day?" Ines asked looking at both of them.
"For the next week, you will rest, until the scar is gone completely." Luke replied smiling when she pout. He knew his wife and how much she hated to no do nothing, especially for a whole week.
"Fine," she sighed. "But what about the Temple. You need to go there?"
"I think Ahsoka, Ezra and our first students can handle, and I will go there pay a visit once in a while during the day. I'm sure my mother and your father will be here and I'll go when that happens. But lucky for you, it is weekend, so I have 2 days to be here with you," he wink. "So let's go, while I take care of Luke and wake up Ben."
"Can we stay in pajamas all day?" Padmé asked.
"Well it is not Life Day's morning but since it is weekend you can, we don't go anywhere today." Luke smiled at them.
"Yay."
"Let's go," he said standing up and everyone did what was suppose to do.
Later that afternoon:
Ines was sitting on the lounge couch that they got weeks ago, covered by a blanket with her baby son, on her left side, who was sucking his pacifier, rest his little head on his mother side, while the twins were sitting in the carpet, coloring, wile Ben was laying on the blue couch watching his favorite program about droids, with R2 next to him watching too and beeping once in a while.
Luke appeared from outside, since he had to buy some groceries, but he didn't came alone.
"Hey, how are you?" Luke approached her and kissed on the lips, laughing when Luke looked at him and frown. "Okay I can kiss you too," he said kissing the top of his head. "Look who I found heading towards our building?"
"Aunt Luma. Uncle Reed," the girls said smiling and waving at them.
"Hello. What are you doing?" Reed said crouching at looking at their color books.
"Painting, Duh!" Alli said making him laughing.
"I see and you two are very talent."
"Thank you!" Padmé replied all happy.
"And what about you Ben?" Luma asked looking at the 6 years old boys.
"Watching a program about droids," he replied.
"I like that too," Reed said smiling and looked back at Ines. "Luma and I wanted to be here to first check how are you?"
"I'm much better thank you." Ines smiled at them.
"Do you want anything to eat?" Luke asked them, sitting next to Ines.
"No thank you. The subject that made us come here, is something that Ines was waiting for, but after everything that happened, we didn't had a chance to talk and we both want to tell you at the same time." Luma started to speak.
"Yes, Ines told me about the engagement and I didn't have the chance to congratulate you guys." Luke nod.
"Thanks, we are very happy," Luma smiled looking at Reed.
"We will marry at New Years Eve in Varykino, since Luma is a former Queen of Naboo, just like your mother and it is a beautiful place, especially when everything will still be decorated because of the Life Day holiday." Reed continue.
"We already talked with all of your family and of course all of you are invited, Ines knows this already, but we came here because we want to ask your permission for something." Luma said looking at Reed who nod with a smile.
"Our permission?" Luke asked looked at Ines.
"Yes. We already talked to Leia and Han and they agreed, now we hope you say yes too." Luma smiled at them.
"About?" Ines asked.
"Well you know that Reed and I are only child, so we don't nephews or nieces and our cousins are around their 20's. And of course we want to have some pages boys and flower girls at our wedding," she started.
The moment they heard flower girls, the girls gasped and went to their parents.
"I see they got it already," Reed laughed.
"And they are right, we want ask permission for the girls and Ben to be the flower girls and the page boy, alongside with Iris and the boys," Luma said.
"We would like to have sweet Luke, but we think he is still too little," Reed completed.
"Yeah, you are right actually," Ines said looking at her boy who smiled at her still sucking his pacifier.
"Well if they want, we can't say no of course," Luke said looking at his kids.
Of course the girls said yes jumping up and down.
"And what do you say Ben?" Reed asked the boy.
"Yes, that would awesome," the boy smiled.
"Thank you so much. I already have the outfits in my mind and when you get better we alongside with Leia will discuss the outfits, if that is okay," Luke said with a big smile.
"Any time." Ines smiled, looking at her kids, knowing that they will all look so cute and she couldn't wait to see them in that wedding.
